I don't know WTF is with the recent and fake 1 star reviews in google, but can attest that none of it is true. Best Asian fusion street food made from scratch I've ever eaten. Along with most gracious owner when I've called. Someone's got issues, but it's not Broken Spoon! This is for Mike A from Tulare CA-nice try for the 1-star review. No dine-in, so no servers, armpit hair or not and they aren't even open today. HAHAHA!

The one not yet eaten. It was devoured after photo was taken.

Visited from out of town and I would have to say this place isn't that great. And the two small items I ordered was $14.88.

Now it is one of those downtown Concord places I circle back to whenever I am craving something brothy and comforting that still has some personality. Most visits revolve around noodle soups, and I have worked my way through a good chunk of the menu. The spicy miso ramen has a deep heat that builds instead of hitting you all at once, and the shoyu ramen is clean and savory in a way that makes you keep sipping the broth even when you are full. The Bubba pho and veggie pho are both solid, generous bowls, and the Korean noodle soup that started as a special clearly earned its permanent spot. Even the Japanese curry soup, which I expected to be heavier, if I had to nitpick I wish it had more curry flavor. My favorite order though is the spicy tantan, with a tweak. Sub the ground chicken for the soy glazed chicken. It adds texture and a little sweetness that really works with the spice. Service is friendly without hovering, and the pacing is usually spot on even when they are busy. The space itself is small, but I rarely struggle to get a table, and the bar seating is a nice option if you are solo. Portions are filling, prices feel fair, and I always leave thinking about what I will order next time.

As a bonus, the tofu center is still cold so you can really get complete unpleasantness with every bite. And, rather than having to spend a bunch of time waiting for your noodles to clump together as they congeal, they serve them already clumped so you get the opportunity to eat your noodle in brick form. Ya'll - I know it's New Hampshire, but let's at least put in some effort.

It's relatively small (only about ten seats) and at the time, only two people were working. It took a little bit for the food to come out (my dad was able to go order a coffee at Coffee Break Cafe next door and bring it back before our orders came out) but the portions were perfect for our lunch and my dad really enjoyed his! The noodles are dropped off on the bar for you to pick up and you grab your own chopsticks as well. We ordered the Chili Ramen (tonkotsu with chili oil on top) and the Shoyu Ramen, both with pork as the protein. The cook on the egg was great (nice and gooey in the center and the white was nice and soft) but it was a little cold and lacked flavor (could've been marinated for longer?). The pork was a nice cut of meat but despite being blowtorched it was a little chewy and lacked a bit of flavor also. The lack of marination on these toppings was helped by the fact that the broth was great and flavorful and if you ate them with the broth and noodles, it was satisfying! I think the broth was the best part; I tried both of them and enjoyed drinking the broth by itself even without eating the noodles with it. Overall, I thought the ramen was OK (the soup was the best part!) but for the price and portion I think this is a nice place to stop by for lunch! My dad enjoyed it a lot and was impressed by the authenticity for an American establishment.

I had the duck ramen and not only did I eat the whole thing, I drank what was left of the soup.. large portions and very delicious. I could go on and on!!! Go there!

The moment you walk in you can smell authenticity! We started with the pan fry dumplings which were delicious and served with a sauce unlike anything I had before. My bride opted for a pork noodle bowl.......loved it, I got the Dan Dan peanut noodle bowl. This dish had such depth in the flavor, it was not a quick sauce off. I noticed the sesame oil roasting of the peanuts in my dish, it just added that level of complexity and flavor. Prices are exceptional, two of us ate, 1 drink each, app and two dishes $60. I love Anju a ton also, but these flavor profiles are completely different. YOU need to go her and check this place out.

They kept my Dasher informed so the service was excellent. The Gyoza was excellent, and the Chicken - filet mignon Hibachi was well beyond my expectation. I will definitely be ordering again!! I can't speak to ambiance, but I am sure it's lovely. I can't wait for next time! Such a treat! It's not authentic Japanese, it's an interpretation of Japanese by Chinese workers and Cooks. Also, Chinese service isn't great and the waiter here isn't attentive and a bit too casual for my taste. The food itself is just acceptable, and for the price not great. The atmosphere also still is pretty weak, and the restaurant is small. It's sort of almost like a hole on the wall. On the West Coast, I've eaten at over 30 authentic Japanese restaurants, and for those of you who aren't Japanese restaurant or sushi aficionados... This food is probably fine. If you know we're good, Japanese food is, don't come here and frankly you may need to drive to Boston to get it.

The restaurant has an authentic feel and is decorated with a lot of vintage Japanese memorabilia and posts and such, it lends a nice vibe to the food. Service is a bit laid back, all orders are done via an app or website and the servers simply bring the food to you. But they are attentive with water refills and bussing of tables so it's not lazy. I recommend Akita!
