Service was ok. Greeting sub par. Music was really bad and loud. Like if I made this playlist it would literally be, top 50 most annoying songs in the US. We couldn't talk inside cause it was sooo loud, so we moved outside. The table outside, one side felt like I was in a high chair. They put a pad on the cement enclosure of the patio, but it's so high my thighs touch the table. It made me extra tall at the table next to my already Short King. The burger was solid AF. The poutine fries were good, but only came with a drop of gravy. But the gravy I did have taste like KFC gravy. Which was kind of nostalgic. That actually pumped this up to a three. They don't have Mayo. I like Mayo on my burger. The food is not bad, but won't be coming back cause everything else was lacking. AND $100 for two drinks and two burgers. At this price point we expected better.

I can't to Broderick for HH with my family. We were greeted and seating immediately with menus and water. Our server came to our table to do last call. We order buffalo cauliflower, cosmos, and house margaritas, veggie rolls, bao mi taco and grilled fish tacos. On the regular menu we ordered, ducks burger, turkey burger and Johnny Cash burger, Pinot Noir and tequila shots and banana pudding. Our food was delicious and the service was good. Their restaurant isn't very big as I expected, but people were seated in a timely manner. I would come back again. :)

Came for HH 2:30-5:30. Prices in the menu below. Staff friendly. Ordered the house red wine $6. Merlot-decent pour. The banh mi tacos $8 and trio sliders $13 were pretty good. Average noise. A good place for HH in Walnut Creek.

The restaurant its self is so cool inside, it's always a great atmosphere, and the staff is nice, however the reason why I did not give it 5 stars was the service. When I had gone it wasn't busy but we had to flag down our server a few times to get some simples things like silverware and napkins. However the food was so good. The burger itself was so juicy and cooked just perfectly. They also have really good pickles if you care and the sweet potatoes fries were just right! They do also have adult milkshakes (alcohol) I don't have a picture of it but they are so good, definitely a must try!

Mmmm...if you want an excellent burger, this is the place. This is the second time that I've been here when I was in the area and this time I tried the Johnny Cash burger- beef patty (cooked medium to my liking), white cheddar, thick applewood bacon, pickled sweet peppers, and homemade bbq sauce, and fried onion crisps. This type of burger is my go-to and I wasn't disappointed. So good and I didn't even request most bbq sauce because it was flavorful enough and not dry (like others make it). My friend got the grilled fish tacos and enjoyed them. Looked delicious and he was satisfied. We were seated quickly at the bar to watch the playoffs and all the servers were checking on us pretty regularly. We were well taken care of. Excellent place to go all around and we will come back when we're back in the area.

It was the best burger I have tasted in a while! Really appreciate the staff really know about allergies. I asked for gluten free options and they were able to tell me the fryers were shared so it won't be good for Celiac ppl. I got Johnny Cash, substitute with gluten free bun ($1) and vegan cheese ($2). The burger was very tasty. I will definitely be back!

Come here if you're craving a hearty meal! The patriot burger is a MUST-TRY. Stay with me here: creamy peanut butter, spicy jam on a bacon burger with fried onion curls. The perfect mix of lightly sweet and savory with a crunch! We came here on a busy Sunday with the restaurant packed already, and we got seated right away inside, which I appreciated because it was a full 50 degrees cold out. Both the burgers and the restaurant feel upscale and creative. Leather booth seating and high bar stools are available. The menu has diverse options, so we opted to try the patriot burger with banh mi fries, the bbq Mac and cheese burger with garlic fries, and a creamsicle milkshake. Our waiter was impressively attentive with coming by often to check on us.

My boyfriend talked me into coming here for lunch one day and told me about the banh mi fries. Told me to keep an open mind, it is not banh mi and just wow! It was delicious, definitely not banh mi but it has the flavor! Really surprised! Everything we ordered was delicious. Our waitress was in training and she was the sweetest! Will definitely come back to try more items on the menu and get the banh mi fries again :).

An average burger/sandwich place. I ordered the fish sandwich. It was $21, but the fish is very thin! The taste is ok, a lot of fries. And don't call normal fries "naked fries"! Call it what they are, FRIES!! Don't reinvent the wheel! And the fires are very dry. Anyway the sandwich is ok, just too small fish bread ratio. The service is nice, place is lively. Won't visit again though! Plenty of other better places nearby!

Stopped by Broderick in Walnut Creek and had a great experience. We sat at the bar and were quickly served a Mule Kick (perfect ginger bite) and an Irish coffee that was smooth and well-balanced. For lunch, I had the Old School Burger, was cooked perfectly and paired with their house-made pickles. My partner ordered the Turkey Bacon Burger, and the Applewood smoked bacon was tasty and crunchy. Even though the place was busy, the staff was attentive and clearly working hard, which showed in the quality of the food and drinks. Overall, an exceptional visit, definitely be back!

I've been coming here since 2022, and they still have the best lamb burger I've ever had! I usually stick to the same order, and it's always consistently delicious and flavorful. Service is fast and welcoming every time I walk through the door, which I really appreciate. They also have a bar area where you can sit, eat, grab a drink, and watch the game or just unwind after a long day.

Chilaquiles - not good
Chastity V.

Maybe I ordered the wrong thing on an off day, but brunch here missed the mark for me. Starting with service - while it was nice that we were seated within 10 minutes, no one came to take our order. After patiently waiting for 15 minutes, I had to flag down a server to take our order. We shared the bacon mac & cheese (3/5) as a starter which was poorly presented (looked very unappealing) and disappointing in taste. I got the chilaquiles (3/5) which were bland and not good. I regret my order and wish I had tried their burger. We were considering dessert when looking at the menu, but after the food was so disappointing, we got the check so we could get dessert elsewhere. I won't come back for brunch, but I might give their burger a chance in the future since people seem to like them.

Ask the Community - Broderick

Can we make a reservation!?

No. But usually won't need them, staff is great at turning tables. If you're in a time crunch, you order online for pickup on their website.

Do they still have the chopped cheese?

Yes we do.

I thought the duck burger wasnt served anymore . Is it on the menu all the time now?

Unless something recently changed, it’s always been available

Do you have gluten free bread and/or buns?

Yes

Is there an area to eat and bring your dog?

There is a outside area where you can eat

Can you eat off the regular menu during brunch hours?

Yes, absolutely !

Do you serve only the brunch menu during brunch weekend hours or is the other menu available also?

Brunch menu is available weekends only!

Do they have an option to make a reservation?

Yes, I called in for a reservation.

Do they have bottomless mimosas?

Unfortunately no. They have a good selection of drinks but no bottomless mimosas. My best friend and I love bottomless mimosas for brunch. Otherwise it's a great place to go.

Do they have a kids menu?

Yes they have a kids menu and it's very simplistic. I hope this helps. RR-:)

Do you have any vegan burgers?

Yes

How many TVs?

4 TVs total. 2 at the bar, one in the corner, and a smaller one near the entrance. If you are coming to watch a game, the bar would be the best place to sit because it's hard to watch those TVs if you are sitting anywhere else.

I see that they have gluten free buns. Are all of their fries gluten free also?

Double check with your server, but I think most - but not all - of the fries are gluten free. The Poutine Fries are definitely not gluten free because of the gravy, but most everything else should be safe.

Peanut allergy friendly?

Yes it is

Do they re-fill growlers?

No. Only breweries can fill growlers and they don't brew their own beer. Calicraft is currently the only place to get growlers filled in Walnut Creek.

We strollled the Walnut Creek craft & arts market. There was a very kind young lady at a The Cooperage American booth who was sharing about her noting our "ABC Store from Hawai'i. She handed us a "free appetizer" at the resturant a few blocks away. It was 2 pm on a late September 2026 Saturday. We made our way to the restaurant and waited in the lobby for a few moments where the hostesses had their backs to my wife and me. After my wife headed to the ladies room, I waited a few more moments until one of the hostesses ask "have you been helped"? I replied "No". I waited for my wife to return before having us seated. We waited between 12-15 with no recognition from ANY wait team. Frustrated and ready to leave (1st time ever in 60 years of going to restaurants!) I got up and went to the hostess and shared we were going to leave a d was curious if they were short servers? We had not recieved any acknowledgement we were there after the hosteess Sophia kindly seated us. Finally, our late lunch menu was down to less than 13 minutes since the "brunch" ended at 2:30 pm. Tiffany quickly jumped our rescue! Bravo! She is a hospitality and restaurant professional with 25+ years experience and about 3 years at The Cooperage American. My wife and I ordered Arnold Palmers. She order the French Dip with truffles fries. I ordered the Huevous Rancheros which was very good Our "free appetitizer" was the delicious Tuna Tartare. Great "save" by Tiffany's exceptional service, attitude, attentiveness! Bravo! We shared with her in person how well she preformed!

To be honest, I was stoked off my ass to be able to have it DoorDashed to my hospital room to eat my first significant meal in days since I've been here. The brûlée was super tasty, with fresh fruit on top and great texture. I only wish the rest of the meal had followed suit. I mean, it may have, but I didn't receive half of what I ordered :( The Arnold Palmer was a no-show, which was a huge bummer because, for whatever reason, that sounded like the best thing in the world yesterday. I'm reckon it was just an honest mistake. The staff at Cooperage are human, after all. Speaking of no-shows, go ahead and add my soup to the "Missing Dinner" reward money posters. This one really hurt because A) I originally had to pay a modest charge to upgrade my side, and B) Iam an incorrigible and shameless slut for soup, Lastly, when they packed the food, they put a pickle spear in the same container as the sandwich. Normally this is, like, my reminder that there is good in this world. However last night it was as if they dumped half of the jar of pickle juice over the entire bottom of the container, then put the sandwich on top of it. The result? Soggy, inedible sandwich roll bottoms. It was the ruin of two of my favorite things: pickles and carbs. I wouldn't be averse to possibly trying Cooperage again in the future, but paying over $50 to only recoup $16 in credits for a meal in which only the dessert came out ok was a definite disappointment.

So what better place to dine in to celebrate out 2nd Year Wedding Anniversary at The Hideout Kitchen :) We went for dinner. Our server was KEVIN. Simply...HE IS JUST AWESOME. The noise was a bit loud that I felt I had to almost yell to have a conversation with my husband. But the vibe was great. I enjoyed looking around at the decor. We ordered: - TRUFFLE FRIES for appetizers - I loved everything about it. haha. Tastey! - linguine & clams - I ordered this. It was good. However, I felt it was way oily. And after every bite I took, I had to wipe my mouth. And I accidentally spilled oil on my shirt. - PASTA ALLA CARBONE with steak - My husband enjoyed it and started to get full towards clearing out his bowl haha. - SCALLOPED POTATOES - I ordered a side of this. Definitely was not expecting to look the way it did, but I thought the presentation was beautiful. It was good; however, I was not a fan at how crunchy and hard the top first layer was. In a few areas, it was almost burnt. But I thought it was pretty good without the need for a type of sauce on the side. - For drinks, I had to Summer sangria and my husband had the Rumble in the Jungle. We enjoyed it. Definitely hit the spot. No complaints at all about these drinks. - And Kevin surprised us with a dessert to celebrate : Cranberry Bread Pudding. This was delicious. Very flavorful. I am not really into Cranberry, but this is definitely an exception. Loved the fruits on the side as well. The Hideout Kitchen will always have a place in our hearts. We will definitely come back. The blue cheese wedge salad had an unusual flavor that neither my wife nor I enjoyed, and we left most of it. Honestly, even Outback does a better job with their wedge salad. The Parmesan fries were the one standout. The beer selection was quite limited, although they did have a Dustbowl Taco Truck, which is a nice option. A few more beer choices would have been appreciated. On a positive note, Kary provided good service, and we appreciated her attentiveness. Overall, it was a disappointing dining experience, and with so many great restaurants in town, I'm not sure we'd return. I do miss the old Cooperage that used to be here; we always enjoyed it much more.
