I would rate this zero stars if I could , I took my mother to get her exam about a week ago the doctor was so rude to her employees she came out yelling at the two ladies who helped me and made them look " stupid " in front of other patients and I she should treat her employees more better if she needed to speak with them she should be doing that in private not in front of the patients my mother can't hear anymore she's 93 years old in a wheel chair her employees did the best they could with helping me out with my mom when it came down to the test they run before seeing the doctor not only was this doctor rude to her workers it was hard for my mother to use the bathroom this place is not suitable for a wheel chair and when I told her she seemed to not care horrible experience here I wish I would've gone to another office read more

Why this place is still open is beyond me please be very careful when coming here always go in with your parents if they are not fluent English speakers because they will blame their mistakes on them saying it was their fault for not being fluent English speakers my mom understands perfect English and can hold a conversation and communicate good enough just has trouble pronouncing her words some times because of her accent and she has never had any issues with her English with any other Health professional My mom has serious problems with her eyes a very high prescription the last time we went in and she asked about her trial run with her new contacts the dr just told her no other contacts would help her see better and ofc we believed the Dr because as the professional she would know more than us and TRUSTING her was the biggest mistake we made these new contacts never helped her see any better and she had constant headaches she was given bifocal contact and glasses just because of her age and it made it harder for her to see they prescribed her contacts solely of an exam for regular glasses never preformed a proper contacts exam It wasn't until I encouraged her to visit a DIFFERENT optometrist that we found out that the prescription given at Bristol optometrist was so bad it was putting a dangerous amount of strain on her eyes and in fact,special contact lenses for prescriptions so high like hers do exist she was given a thorough and proper contact exam and referred to specialist because of the strain the old contacts caused and confirmed she in fact did not need bifocal contacts or bifocal glasses I was also once a patient at Bristol optometry And was the one that encouraged my mom to visit my new optometrist I had gotten glasses here before and during my exam I was just rushed out The door and they always caused headaches it got to the point I stopped wearing the glasses after a while AND noticed my vision had actually worsened Once I visited a new optometrist, I realized what it is to actually care for your patients never have I had such great care please reach out if you need info to this new place don't risk your eyesight with a careless Dr read more

Honestly this would be a 1-star review but the staff is friendly. Came in here for my second appointment for my contacts to I guess purchase my prescription (I got my regular exam and trial pair two weeks prior). My appointment was at 11AM and I showed up about two minutes early. I came in, checked in, and sat down and waited. Someone else was already here before me waiting as well. At 11:41AM the doctor finally walked in from the front door, dressed casual wearing a summer hat. This office is open at 10:00AM so I can't imagine how long the other person was waiting. After the doctor had walked in she walked to the room and called the waiting patient in. So, my 11AM appointment pretty much became a 12PM one. On a side note, most of the staff is familiar with MediCal (and similar, etc.) and not so much other major insurance providers. On the first day that I came here I had to wait quite a bit because no one understood the terms of my insurance and its allowance. Fast forward to today, I called because I hadn't received a phone call to get my contacts and they told me they were waiting to see if they could get the insurance to get two more boxes.. even though I had intentionally ordered 2 boxes (the maximum my insurance covered). After this experience I'm going to go ahead and go back to my previous optometrist. read more

She's knowledgeable and knows how to explain it so you leave there fully and well-informed. Me and my family have been going here for years! Don't forget to make an appointment first. First, I really did some res on the office and Doctor. So first, Dr Diane was excellent! she was personable and professional. Doctor Diane was very knowledgeable and really helped explain things in very simple terms so i always knew the Information. Secondly, the Office and Staff. i was warmly greeted and quickly helped. I couldn't find frames for my fat head so the Young lady helping went into the back and brought out several options that all fit perfect. I had an excellent experience and will be recommending them to everyone I know. This is the type of company we need to support here in our community. A+++ read more

I really hate that you have to leave a star even though it is not deserving of that. This office had 3.something stars, with the latest review from 2 years ago. What.A.Waste.Of.Time. It took up to two hours before my niece could be seen by the Dr (she wasn't even at the office when I arrived). The Dr. was not nice at all. And once we came out, it turns out that the Dr recommended a ~$373 worth of "protections and filters, one even to block out the glare from the cars when driving at night". My niece is 7!!! Curious, I didn't know 7-year-olds could drive. Also, curious that all the patients that came out after us had the SAME protections recommended to them regardless of age. I am so happy to have found this place! At my last optometrist they did not accept Medi-Cal or speak Spanish, which made it difficult for my mom to understand. But here, they accept Medi-Cal, as well as other insurances and the staff speak fluent Spanish. I am in awe at just how nice the doctor and staff are. They explain everything they do and why they're doing it throughout the examination process and answer any questions you have. I especially liked the wide selection of frames they had, which they clean and disinfect before letting other patients try on. I also liked how fast they work while ensuring quality care. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted and within a couple of minutes, you're already inside with the doctor. They even accept walk-ins. No appointment necessary. I am so excited to come back next year for my annual eye exam! read more

Bristol Optometry is one of the most welcomed place I have been too. The staff are very friendly and always make sure to treat us patients in the best manner. If we have any questions they are there to answer them in the best way possible. Also they make sure to assist the patients as soon as possible to not have them wait a long time and always manage to respect those that have appointments. On the other hand, Dr. Nguyen is the nicest doctor I've ever met. She always makes sure that the patient is feeling okay and feels comfortable and greets them as she should. She is very professional not only as her personality but her appearance as well. She makes sure to go out of her way to make sure us patients leave with a smile and the right glasses that fit us best. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place 10/10 ! read more

This office is awful. I took my daughter 9 weeks ago for an eye exam and I am still waiting for a call back to pick up her glasses. I have called 3 times to get an update as no one from that office has ever contacted me with a status. I made an appointment and had to wait 35 minutes to be seen. I was told it would be 6 weeks for us to receive her glasses and 9 weeks later I am still waiting. I don't recommend this place to anyone. Their follow up service is horrible. Of I wasn't waiting for glasses I would consider going elsewhere. Again HORRIBLE follow through. read more
