Dang, you would think this was the only decent breakfast place in Wake Forest.. (Now that I think about it, I am having a hard time of thinking of many more though.. Lol) Anyways, I have been to this location several times and never without waiting at least 30 minutes. That is best case scenario.. For Mother's Day, it was no different.. About an hour wait, maybe a little less. We have had some spotty service at times in the past. This time, however, was great! Very fast and efficient. The food never disappoints. I don't think I've ever ordered anything I didn't like. This time I ordered the Bacado omelette. They did not skimp on the ingredients. Plenty of bacon, cheese, avocado, and spinach. It was freakin delicious! I'm sure we will be back with the family, and it's going to be hard to sway me away from ordering the same thing. read more

Brigs - Bacado Omelette - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Wake Forest, North Carolina

Omgoodness, the food is delicious . I just love this place. It's always a little wait but it's well worth it. Just go and thank me later

From being promptly greeted at the door to quickly seated our experience at brigs was top notch. We were seated in warm cozy corner in what appeared to be their private party room. Gazing over I observed the waitstaff serve some amazing looking plated meals which appeared to be omelette and potatoes. Immediately I began to drool over what to order. Thus I ordered the Grecian omelette. This was not your average omelette it certainly oozed of yummy goodness. From the calamata olives to the melted feta cheese and then to the gyro meat this omelette graced with hollandaise sauce clearly fulfilled my breakfast desires. My omelette was wonderfully complemented with diced red bliss potatoes and toasted rye bread. The potatoes were very delicious however my only criticism would be to have some crispness on the potatoes. The potatoes were married to diced bacon and a blend of aromatic seasonings. As for the bread well it was rye. Finally our server was very attentive to our needs and certainly kept my glass full. Great job to both the management as well as the staff of this awesome establishment. Brigs is certainly my place for breakfast. read more

My food arrived cold, requested the waitress to heat up my breakfast, she was kind enough to bring me a fresh plate but, once again it arrived cold. I was expecting southern cooking, it was more like Southern cooking gone wrong. The sign said Award Winning Breakfast, they must of had a contest among each other and had no other restaurant around to compare themselves to so they gave themselves a award. Sad to say I wouldn't come back on my next road trip. read more

Great food and great service . My colleague had the French toast and it looked amazing. I decided for a lighter breakfast and automatically regretted it when I saw his food lol read more

Brigs has great appetizers and brunch options! The Duke skillet is always a winner for me

Always a good and consistent breakfast. I love their scramble: The knight. I am not an egg eater and they gladly serve it without the eggs! It is a nice place to get something different. They also have a pancake and benedict of the month. Again, I am not an egg eater so I can tell you about the benedict, however their pancakes are some of the best in town! read more

This is probably the best breakfast place in Wake Forest. I've been here numerous times and I never had a bad experience. Their breakfast combos are great. I like their waffles and the blueberry pancakes are great. They also have good monthly specials. I would recommend getting there early or be prepared to wait especially on the weekends. read more

Good food. A lot options as well. I had the Chesapeake Benedict, which was different but not bad all around.

Great experience! We enter was told it would be 20 to 25 mins. It was the exact time, that made us happy. We sat down order our drinks, drink were out in no time at all before we knew it the food was begin placed in the table! Our waitress was on point we never had to ask for anything she made sure to refill drinks and check often enough not to Annoy to see if anything is needed. read more

Brigs - Chicken & Waffle good...wish the chicken wasn't frozen chicken tender Shrimp & Grits was ok...more season was needed - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Wake Forest, North Carolina

For fantastic food served by courteous and helpful servers, this is the place! But be forewarned, it's so popular you'll need to arrive early! I've never been disappointed in anything I've tried, but my hands-down favorite is the fruit topped Belgium waffle, covered in whipped cream. So moist and flavorful you don't need syrup! Wonderful for those who love good food and don't like counting calories. read more

We decided to go to Brig's for a Christmas Eve breakfast. I had the shrimp and grits... pretty delicious but I wish the shrimp had been browned a little because I'm sure they are frozen. The Cajun spices were really good and the dish didn't lack in flavor. The only downfall is there are a lot of tables and they are really close together, the noise was almost overwhelming. Waitress was nice and attentive. read more

The food was delicious but I was disappointed. I had the taste for coffee and I was so ready for it until I had lipstick on my coffee cup. I wish they would offer different coffee creams. I ended up getting a soda to go. I informed the waitress and she could of cared less. read more

My friends and I were heading back home from out of state and we wanted to stop for some breakfast before we hit the road. Service was great and food was even better. Worth the 20 min wait on a Saturday. This is my second visit and they continue to impress me with their service and great food. I won't go anywhere else for breakfast while in Wake Forest. read more

not sure how you advertise open 7 days a week but at 9:40am this morning the place was locked down and dark. no signs on the front door, google even says you're open. tried to call to inquire and the phone never rang on my end. just seems like poor management when you have such a large following of loyal customers, not letting your guests know what's going on. read more

We (me, wife & 2 grandkids) dined at Briggs today. What a treat..! Our only guide to this restaurant was the Hampton Inn hotel (right next door) manager and reviews from yelp. Both were correct with their recommending advice. We were very pleased. The wait time at noon on Sunday was 30 minutes. We got in 20-25 minutes. It was worth the wait. Our waitress, Jenifer, was outstanding. She was prompt, accurate, attentive and very friendly. Our food was served hot and was very good portions. We had French toast and blueberry pancakes combos. We made a couple of substitutions with no problems. All of us were satisfied with our dining experience at Briggs. We highly recommend you! read more

This place was amazing, and the service we received from Rhian was top tier. This was me and my families first time here and she was great help in letting us know the best food items. I got the Coastal Benedict, i believe that was the name, and it was absolutely incredible. My families meals looked divine as well. If you happen to find yourself in this area i recommend coming here and ask for Rhian! :) read more

I really like this place! I'm a breakfast fanatic! Is my favorite meal! And here I can satisfy my desire for a big savory breakfast! The coffee is good, not the best but decent! The waffles and pancake combos are good size! Eggs your choice, toast or English muffin, your choice of meat and your choice of fruits, home fries or grits! Is a lot of food! Prices are good around $10 for a big breakfast! Theirs specialty sandwich are a very nice selection from chicken, salads and burgers. Omelets and Benedict eggs are very popular. Really enjoy my meal every time! Taste good and fresh! Saturday and Sunday brunch hours are very busy you could wait to be seated around 30-45-min. but in my opinion is worth it! The staff is nice and the services time is OK. read more

The thing about Wake Forest is that, other than the new Waffle House, where you have to wait and wait for one of the precious 6 tables to free up [even on a slow day], we really didn't know there was any other place to get a decent breakfast. Here's the rundown from some picky breakfast fans: Belgian Waffle - Crispy on the outside, light and delicate on the inside. Wonderful vanilla aroma and easily, one of the better Belgian waffles I've had. They say the batter is homemade and mixed fresh daily. Not from a mix? I'm impressed Hubby ordered what he calls his "benchmark breakfast"; 2 poached eggs on toast, bacon and hash-browns. The eggs were actually poached perfectly and put ON the toast. He has this pet peeve where he orders his benchmark breakfast at other restaurants and inevitably the eggs are over cooked or the toast is on the side, or the eggs are broken etc... This was perfect. Istanbul Benedict with smoked turkey and feta. Son said it was really good. Again, perfectly poached eggs. Only comment was the English muffin didn't look like it was toasted. Service was fast and our Czech waiter was welcoming and happy to explain some of the restaurant background with us. We'll definitely be back. read more

Foods good, but it's really. Kinda hard to screw up breakfast food. And they don't "go the extra mile" like many morning places do with lots of fresh fruit, or amazingly fresh squeezed organ juice, or... They don't have any "thing" that makes them unique. Also, we have never have anything better than mediocre service. And that's a HUGE pet peeve of mine. read more

This place was okay, not great but not bad either. The service was good, the server was friendly and smiley which was very nice. The hostess was very nice too, you can tell she was busy. The reception desk and the checkout register share the same space, so people requesting seating and people paying were all mixed together. It felt disorganized and a bit chaotic. read more

Good breakfast place with a wide variety on the menu! Staff is friendly and very helpful. Great breakfast place and is always busy!

It took 12 minutes from time of seating to first visit to table and the restaurant is less than half full around noon on a Saturday. At least I was able to order my meal right away with my drinks. I had already finished reading the menu and was surfing yelp and four square for another place to eat by my wife's suggestion. I wish I could try a Benedict per the prior reviewers, they sounded great. I had a steak with loaded fries well made and tasty. My wife loved their Waldorf croissant. We both liked the strawberry lemonade. So the reason they are getting 3 out of 5 stars is the original wait for drink orders and waitress came to table and walked away without refilling my drink until I called her back and then she asked if I actually wanted a refill. Updating this review to reduce the stars by 1 due to a re-action i had to the meal the next day through this past week indicating that the gluten free meal I had actually contained much more than trace gluten. I haven't had this bad a reaction in the two years I have been gluten free, and I can handle the typical trace in most restaurants and eat out once every couple weeks. I came to the restaurant on the recommendation of one of the chefs who we met while shopping and he was very excited about the gluten free options and precautions they take in the kitchen. read more

Good service, mediocre atmosphere, but perfectly cooked eggs and AMAZING Belgian waffles. Whoever they've got cooking back there, knows exactly what they're doing. Decently priced. Would definitely go back. read more

Whoa. Serious Bernaise sauce! If you are an eggs Benedict fan it is definitely worth the wait! They have an eggs Benedict of the month and several creative eggs Benedict variations on their regular menu. My wife and I both got the Benedict special which was eggs Benedict with steak instead of Canadian bacon. Like I wrote earlier the Bernaise sauce was awesome. This accompanied with perfectly cooked eggs and thick pieces of steak. The only draw back was the wait. We were told that it would be 15 minutes but it was closer to 30 which was fine as it was a beautiful day but when we were seated, I noticed that there were A LOT of empty tables. This is one of my pet peeves with many restaurants but with such a great eggs Benedict, I could only take off one star. read more

Brigs has a pretty extensive menu for Breakfast and Brunch items. Of the many times that I have been there I have yet to be disappointed. If you go on a Sunday allow plenty of time for a wait - they get pretty crowded! While I have loved everything I have ever tried there I have to say my favorite is the Monaco Omelette! It is stuffed with Brie cheese, Spinach, Mushrooms and Tomatoes - Wow, that is a fantastic start to a morning! My husband loves the Alaskan Omelette - can't say I am a fan but that is just a personal preference. You can't go wrong with their Royal Skillets either! Check out Brigs the next time you want to add a little "special" to your breakfast. Great place for special occassions as well! Brigs has a few locations around the Triangle making them easy to access regardless of where you live! read more

I've gone here a couple of times for lunch with a friend who works up in Wake Forest. The first time, I ordered an omelet; this past week I ordered the Fowl Play chicken sandwich off the lunch menu. I was able to have the bacon and mayo removed, no problem. I do think I confused the waitress when I decided not to eat the roll as well. :P The chicken was grilled, with provolone cheese...flavorful, if not ambitious. However, I don't expect ambitious from a place that's known more for their breakfasts. Service: Seated immediately, wait staff was a bit erratic, in that one person took our drink order and another person took our food order. Everything was right, however, down to the picky things (not wanting bacon, my friend didn't want salad dressing, etc.) , so I can't fault them for that. Decor: Minimal. Since it's next to a hotel, it gives off a bit of a hotel restaurant vibe. I'd go back again, but there are other places in Wake Forest I'd rather frequent when I'm there. read more

While the experience for brunch was pleasant, there were a few issues. The dining room was loud. Understandable based on the clientele (families) and the time of year (12/27). The food was good, but not great. The service was adequate, but not superb. Would I eat there again, yes, but with lower expectations. One thing this establishment really has going for it is a very diverse menu .... almost too big to have any real star dish! read more

Brigs is wonderful but you have to go early or you will have a wait! They do take out which is great when you're getting off a night shift. They give you very large portions . They do however have the best waffles in Raleigh. read more

I have been here twice and both experiences were meh. This past weekend we took my family here for breakfast. The kitchen told my wife that they don' do crispy hash browns on the weekend because they are too busy! They were not too busy to take out money. I think I can help them with their busy problem. I won't be coming here anymore!!! Guess they don't want customers to return. I told the waitress (lots of eye makeup) that I intended to post a bad review on Yelp. She said she did not care. Food was average to below average for a breakfast place with these prices. Service is TERRIBLE!!! You would be better off going to Waffle House down the road. read more

This place was touted by mother-in-law as the place to go for breakfast, maybe I expected too much but we were very disappointed. The food was mediocre. After a long 29min wait to only be put in the "breeder" section, we asked for a different table in another section - 15 min later we were seated. This place is so distracting, between the can pot lights about to fall from the ceiling to very unkept grounds to trying to figure out what this building used to be due to the random layout..it's just weird. When ordering fruit as a side, don't expect them to take an extra 5 min to prep it for you - freaking ridiculous. Anyway we won't be back. read more

I tried Brigs Restaurant for the first time today. I've wanted to go there for a long time because I've heard great things about their breakfast from different people. Sunday brunch was very crowded. We waited for 20 minutes for a seat, which is what I expected. The restaurant is a pretty standard country style setting, which can be a good thing. I did not order their benedict, which is what they're famous for. Instead, I chose to go for the hotcake combo. The eggs were a little underdone.. I asked for over medium, and they came out over easy. The bacon had a great smokey flavor, but was very overdone. It had a jerky like texture. The hot cakes were light and fluffy. Many people like hot cakes like this, but I do not. I like mine to be moister with a bit of chew to the texture. Service was quick and attentive. Overall, I'd say they were good, but far from great. read more
