Overall, I was underwhelmed by the experience. We purchased 11 windows from Brightside in January 2025. Installation was in two parts between May and June due to a manufacturing delay. The sales experience felt high pressure and I'm not sure we received a good deal. There were some unexpected issues around financing (details below). Installation was high quality and efficient. The windows themselves seem to be good quality but have some inconveniences. Sales Experience: The salesman came to my door and setup a time for a showing. We had been interested in replacing some old aluminum windows. There was a fair amount of pressure in the sales pitch. Offering various discounts that would only be valid for a short period. Financing: We used one of their interest free financing methods through Synchrony. Unfortunately, I didn't exercise due diligence here mostly because of the above sales pressure. The loan was actually applied to a credit card as opposed to a regular loan. So now I have a credit card I don't want with a large credit limit. This has dragged down my credit score a considerable amount due to carrying a large balance. Additionally, I am stuck paying annual fees on this credit card which should have been a loan. Installation: The installers did quality and expedient work. They worked with me to make sure the windows were installed to satisfaction. Specifically, the windows were much thicker than the prior ones and needed to be inset more do avoid sticking out on the exterior. They cleaned up their materials and didn't leave any mess behind. There was an issue on the manufacturing end that resulted in some of the windows needing to be installed at a separate time. I also needed to follow up the company multiple times to make sure the windows were ordered, and an installation was being planned. Window quality: We ordered the triple pane windows. They have provided a much-improved dampening of noise from the nearby street. The windows have high efficiency ratings, although I have not really noticed a difference on my energy bill yet. There is a convenience feature where the sliding window panels can be removed for cleaning without needing to get a ladder to do so from the outside. The windows are very heavy though and do not slide easily. Being premium windows, it feels like they should have bearings or some mechanism to make this smoother. Currently it scrapes against the frame and peels up paint in the track. Since both panels of the slider windows move you need to push against both sides to fully close it and be able to apply the locking mechanism.

My wife and I are very happy with our Brightside windows. The quality and service was excellent. The installation was finished in the estimated time.

Overall my experience with Brightside was positive, though it was certainly not without bumps. As an overview: it took around 8 months from time of order to final touch-ups to replace most of the windows on our first floor, though it had potential to be as little as 4 months if we had not run into any of the issues described below. I'll walk through each phase of the process below. Sales: we had salespeople knock on the door to gauge interest and set up a sales meeting. The salesman came out a week or so later, and did the typical high-pressure sales pitch. Not my preference, but it seems like that is the reality of the industry. Ordering: most of our windows were straightforward replacement windows, but we had some less standard "grid" windows (see photos for before/after) in places that the salesman wasn't sure how to handle. After some calls back to the home office he made some recommendations and we decided on how to replace it. A week later they had people come out for official measurements for each opening, only for them to tell us that our plan for replacing the "grid" window was not possible. After a bunch of frantic calls back to Brightside we cleared up the confusion and moved forward, but this would become a recurring problem. Waiting: we waited about 4 months while the windows were manufactured. Brightside called occasionally to update us on progress. Installation: the windows arrived, we scheduled time for the install, and the installers arrived. Unfortunately, the replacements they had for our "grid" windows were completely different from what we ordered. On top of that, we learned from the installer that the replacement design that Brightside sold us was not actually something the installers could do. Additionally, a few of our other windows had been mis-measured and also needed to be re-ordered. Otherwise the installation went very smoothly and the installers themselves were great. The job was done within the day. Waiting: Brightside came out to inspect the windows that were installed as well as confirm the ones that needed to be reordered. We discussed a new plan for the replacement and decided to replace each "column" of our grid windows with a single picture window (at the suggestion of the installer). After another 2 months, we were scheduling installation for the replacements. Installation: this time everything arrived as expected, and installation went smoothly. Unfortunately, most of the picture windows in the order had cosmetic manufacturing issues that needed to be fixed in another visit. Waiting: Brightside came again to inspect, then the window manufacturer (Alside) came to confirm, and about a month later we had technicians come out to do the fix. Fixes: the technicians arrived with replacement glass, expecting to need to replace all the affected windows. However, after seeing the issue in person they decided they could just clean it without doing the full replacement. Overall I'm happy with the quality and appearance of the windows. The technicians and installers that did the work were all quite good (helpful, efficient, and courteous). Brightside was communicative and helpful throughout the process. However, most of the issues we ran into on the project seem to be related to poor communication within Brightside (and between them and their manufacturer Alside), either by ordering the wrong windows or by misrepresenting the kinds of windows they could deliver for us. If you have a straightforward replacement window job with nothing special, you are likely to have a good experience. If anything is non-standard, prepare for the possibility of delays and complications.

Replacing the windows in our house was on our to-do list from the time we bought it in 2021. It worked out great when the Brightside Reps came through our neighborhood to show us their products. Starting with the sales rep, then install team, then post-install inspection, everyone along the way has been so knowledgeable, respectful, and helpful in the process of getting our new windows. It was a fairly short time (about 9 weeks) from signing the contract to installation given that all the windows and screens are custom made to measure. The quality of the windows is a huge upgrade from the old mismatched aluminum and vinyl frame windows they replaced; we love the triple pane and know it's going to be a big difference on energy savings. We were especially sold with the lifetime warranty, which makes the value of these windows way better than others at a comparable price. One area for improvement would be keeping us updated during the manufacturing process - we didn't hear anything from anyone after the initial meeting until the windows were done and it was time to schedule installation. Obviously there wasn't much to say, but even an automated text or email to let us know where they were in the process would have been nice. We were very happy with the inspection today with Diana and Ashley - they checked every window inside and out and found some things that needed to be fixed that we didn't even realize were problems! Very thorough, and really lovely to talk with!

My expierence with Brightside Windows was great! I had old single pane storm windows from 1967 that were deteriating and could feel the draft. Although I wasn't looking into replacing at the time, but I had a rep from Brightside named "Rose" knocking at my door asking if I would be interested in replacing my windows. I gave her the opportunity to give me a quote. It was a painless process and the price was affordable. I had some changes needed after the initial purchase, which they accommodated right away. The installers were professional and on time! They did a great job replacing (8) windows within 5 1/2 hours. I love the new windows! They are beautiful and can already feel the difference with keeping the heat in. I would recommend Brightside Windows.

Replacing the windows in our 100 year old home had been on the to-do list for several years. Replacing 14 windows and installing a new window in the bathroom to replace glass blocks just seemed like too much. I wish we would have spoken to Brightside sooner. They were amazing. All of the staff from the schedulers to the installers were friendly, on time and knowledgeable. The windows came in ahead of schedule which was wonderful. Installation was quick and easy. The installers were answered all our questions and were able to get all 15 windows installed in one day instead of the two they estimated. When they left the house was clean and our new windows looked amazing. Especially the new one in the bathroom. We love how easy they are to clean and the built in safety locks have allowed us to keep the windows on the ground floor open at night. The temp in the house is now very stable and comfortable. We have cut the use of our AC by 80% and the 2nd floor is comfortable now even on 80+ days.

    Window

My experience with Brightside Windows has been super positive. The way that this team works is super fast and efficient. They are in and out of the home not a minute more than they need to be and that doesn't cut into the quality of their work at all. It took them less than 15 min to get measurements of our windows, and after that we just had to wait for the windows to be ready. Once they were ready, they only needed a single day to install all 9 windows, one of them which was a sliding door! We love our new windows and they've made such a drastic difference in our home. We would absolutely recommend getting windows from Brightside Windows.

We had 10 windows, and 2 sliding doors replaced because the old windows and doors had double panes that had begun to fail (condensation between the panes), and the doors were not sliding very well anymore. Our house is from the 80's and everything was original. The worst offender was our bedroom window on the ground floor where an active draft could be felt when the temperature dropped below 50 degrees. We've had to run an electric space heater at night to maintain 65 degrees since October (turning up the furnace would cook the second story where our daughter sleeps, we tried). Brightside came in and got everything replaced in a day and a half. The crew was considerate of our furniture that we moved to give them space, made sure to put boot covers on each time they came in and out (it was raining/snowing during install), and did a good job cleaning up after they were finished. The new triple-glazed windows are amazing, we were able to turn the bedroom heater down from high to medium (that's like a 400W energy savings). I'm expecting the overall heating bill will drop, and we'll likely use less electricity for A/C in the summer. Not to mention that the doors work so much smoother, and the windows are easier to open. The windows now offer more options for opening as (open both left and right, or top and bottom depending on the window). We love that the screens can slide from one side to the other, or with a vertical window, up and down. That's already come in handy when we wanted to look out the lower pane of the kitchen window without the screen, but we didn't have to fully remove it and remember where we stored it once summer comes around. Just slide it up to the upper pane. The price was fair as well. They were below the cost of Anderson windows, and I believe we got a superior product.

    Window

Finding Brightside was an amazing feat of fate! We had just begun to think about the idea of looking into new windows due to drafts and noise pollution and the next thing we know a rep is at our door and I'm so glad they were. From the moment they began talking about these windows I knew I wanted them! The triple pane, yes! The accessibility of moving them and being able to clean them, yes! The price, YES! The value of these windows cannot be beat! From sale to install to final walkthrough, the experience has been amazing. We had a contact for every single step of the process and were never confused or worried. The install was done quickly and effectively with techs would were beyond courteous and kind. And the finished product? Stunning!! When I first saw my new large picture windows, I honestly thought there was no window at all it was so clear. Our house has been warmer, quieter and fun to show off thanks to our new windows!

It's a nice clean look without window grids.

These folks are truly some of the best that I've ever worked with to get something done in my place, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again if the need arose. Their showroom has a great display of the products that they offer so you can get a decent idea of what you're buying. Not only was their quote actually reasonable, but they didn't hit me with the classic contractor combo of upsells and surprise charges. They even sealed up my entrance while working on the door - no extra fee, no fuss, just good old-fashioned service. The result? My door looks fantastic, my wallet isn't crying, and I'm singing their praises louder than carolers in December. Update: Since…read moreposting this review the company has continued to threaten me by emailing me directly. I understand the company disagrees with my review, but I was disappointed by the tone of their response and the implied pressure to remove it. Being told they would publicly respond and report the review to Yelp and Google if I didn't remove it felt unnecessarily aggressive and intimidating. Also in response to their comments below Thank you for confirming the exact root of the problem: you looked at a three-pane window, saw that only the middle section was currently foggy, and assumed I only wanted that single section replaced. As a professional window company, it was your responsibility to clearly state: "We see only the middle pane is failing, so this quote is strictly for one pane of glass, not the entire window unit you asked for." You didn't do that. You just wrote "1 glass replacement" on a quote for a "window replacement" request and expected a regular homeowner to know the technical difference. The fact remains: I asked for a window replacement. I provided a photo of the entire window. Other companies looked at the exact same information and managed to quote the entire three-pane unit for a price comparable to what you charged me for just the middle section. You can keep calling a customer's genuine financial frustration "deceptive" to protect your online rating, but your own responses show a complete lack of accountability. You made an assumption, failed to communicate it clearly upfront, and I had to pay the premium for it. Prospective clients can read this back-and-forth and decide for themselves if they want to risk dealing with a company that hides behind ambiguous quote terminology instead of practicing transparent communication. I am done repeating myself. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I recently had a foggy/failing window repaired that consisted of 3 separate sections. Unfortunately, due to some miscommunication during the quoting process, only the middle section was replaced. That was really frustrating because it made the overall cost much higher compared to other companies I had received quotes from. To their credit, they did offer to replace the remaining sections at a discount after I brought up the issue. However, even with the discount, the final price still ends up being significantly more expensive than competitors. Had everything been communicated more clearly upfront, I likely would have chosen a different company. The biggest issue for me was the lack of clarity during the quoting process. It felt misleading to realize afterward that the quote only covered one section instead of the full window I thought we had discussed. That said, I do want to give credit to the installation crew because they were excellent. They were respectful, worked quickly, kept everything clean, and did quality work. My frustration is mainly with the communication and quoting side of the experience, not the installers themselves.

I got bids, and was the most impressed with Danny L at Signature Windows. We had a tight deadline because the home was going on the market and access to the window, especially in the rain, was really challenging. Meeting the deadline, and the safety of the installers, were non-negotiable. Danny came out the very next day to measure the Window From Hell and, not only did he give me the best price, but his company was the only one that had all the scaffolding equipment readily available at no extra charge. The window arrived sooner than expected, and installation was quickly scheduled to meet the deadline. Then we hit a snag: some epic rain made the cedar roof too slippery for safe conditions. Brent and his crew of expert (and very brave) installers rigged up a safe way to haul this brand-new Mother of ALL Windows up to the second floor and install it using very long ladders, secure scaffolding, and harnesses. I think we had 4 or 5 installers for this job. It took all day to get the old Window From Hell out and the new Mother of All Windows installed. But what a job! Perfect caulk lines, perfect cleaning of the glass, perfect clean-up of the job site, indoors and out. Job done ON TIME, SAFELY, and at an excellent price. If Signature can handle my Window From Hell, I am very confident they can install ordinary double-hung windows that exceed your expectations for quality, price, timeliness, and workmanship.
