I'm kind of baffled by all the positive reviews for this company. We have had consistent problems…read morewith Patriot since not long after we started using them in 2022. The weekly pool service is generally fine, but if anything goes even remotely wrong (which it will because they're scaling rapidly and training new folks), Patriot is nowhere to be found. In the time we've been using them, they've incorrectly cleaned our filter twice, stained our white pool tiles, and caused our skimmer to operate incorrectly. It has been pulling teeth to get them to return to fix it - many calls over many weeks, and at present, our skimmer and pool tile are still not resolved. In the case of the skimmer, our pool has an in-ground cleaning system and generally stays crystal clear throughout the spring months. Twice now, Patriot has come to clean the filter, and the skimmer has stopped operating immediately after. The first time, a tech returned a week or so later and told us their filter crew had forgotten to switch something to do with the skimmer back on (it was immediately fixed once he corrected it). This time, it stopped operating correctly immediately after the filter-cleaning again (same timing, same issue) and Patriot (after failing to return our calls, then sending people who weren't trained to investigate or resolve the issue three separate times) is telling us there's nothing wrong. This has been going on for well over a month at this point, and apparently we're going to need to pay someone else to come out and fix it. In the case of the pool tile (see pics below) Patriot acknowledged fault for the issue, and tried a number of tactics to resolve it, none of which worked. So it seems we're stuck with the stains. There are lots of pool companies in Austin. I'd recommend you go with a company that stands behind their work and fixes their mistakes.

Their people are unreliable and inexperienced, they have caused several thousands of dollars or damage to our pool through their negligence and our pool has been mostly unusable this summer because of the issues caused by their team. If you've been looking for a tub like this, you might have run across Cedartubs.com and Snorkel -- or RH Tubs on the high end. Skip those and buy local. Custom Leisure's product is superior to RH Tubs, thousands of dollars less expensive, and without the lead time. Absolute disaster. Property damage and failed repairs! Hired…read moreBaird Pools to fix a small hot tub leak and replace some loose front tiles. It was a complete disaster from start to finish. * Property Damage: The crew did zero prep work to protect our property. They walked over crushed glass directly on our custom limestone stairs and pool stepping stones, causing permanent damage. * Incompetent Repairs: They retiled the hot tub without refilling and pressure-testing it to confirm if the leak was actually fixed. Unsurprisingly, it still leaks. When I raised this with the owner, Cris, his "solution" was telling us to pour Fix-A-Leak into the tub--and then told us to double the dose when his suggestion failed. * Unprofessional Workmanship: They forced an incorrect light into the socket and sealed it with epoxy. Our new repair crew had to use pliers and a shop vac just to undo the mess. The tile thinset used was applied so poorly that dark spots are now visible through our transparent tile, requiring a total replacement as it is a complete eyesore. We have had multiple reputable pool companies out since, and they ALL confirmed the tile job was incredibly sloppy, used the wrong grout, and looked a decade old. We are now spending an additional $10K to undo and redo Baird's work. Cris has expressed to us on a few different occasions that he is not willing to fix our spa, in our last email exchange he told me that, "he is not married to this spa." So much for those "Family Values, Trust and Respect" advertised on their website. Save your money and your property--do not hire this company.

I had to contact WaterWay directly and wait two weeks for the new filter housing. They manager at Leslie's wasn't nice about it. He just shrugged his shoulders and said that's how it is. Jacuzzi has since sold to WaterWay Plastics. Already frustrated with having to do the work my service provider (Leslie's) should be doing, I was then presented with a $300 invoice for labor after install. I refused to pay for service I had already paid for up front with the extended warranty. The service techs were both very nice but I got the feeling they were not going to get paid by Leslie's for the work. Needless to say, I will never order anything from Leslie's again. A local small contractor will likely provide a better experience.
