About 3 1/2 years later (still under warranty), it developed what was initially a relatively minor leak. That was the beginning of what has now become a six-month ordeal. Since February, I've endured multiple paid service visits, repeated repair attempts, months of downtime, and countless emails and phone calls coordinating repairs with both Big Star Backyards and Wellis. Despite all of that, the leak has progressively worsened rather than improved. The most frustrating part is that what began as a slow leak has now become a spa that can lose nearly all of its water within approximately 24 hours after being refilled. Throughout this process, I've done everything asked of me. I've coordinated appointments, rearranged travel, filled the spa when requested, taken videos documenting the leaks for the technician, and remained patient while waiting weeks for parts to arrive. Unfortunately, despite all of those efforts, I still do not have a functioning hot tub. Rather than taking ownership of why repeated repairs have failed, the conversation has increasingly shifted toward my water chemistry--even though the spa is still under warranty, the water was balanced immediately after repairs, there were no guests using the spa, and it leaked nearly empty immediately after being refilled. That explanation simply does not align with what actually occurred.

We started wanting a pool only, and by the end we had a beautiful covered patio that extends our outdoor living space into the pool decking. The construction process was just as smooth as the design. Communication with Shane was always prompt, thorough, and professional. He returned every call within less than an hour, and answered all of my many questions. He kept us in the loop on every step, and let us know what workers would be at the house and when. There were a few minor issues/changes during construction and Shane was helpful in fixing the situation. The solutions we agreed on were even better than the original design! At the end of the process, we were very happy that we went with Cascade. We are constantly stopped by our neighbors to compliment us on the beautiful new addition. The construction process went as smoothly as possible and we ended up with an amazing finished project that my husband and I enjoy every night. I was too cheap to pay for shipping, so I went back over the course of a few weeks checking stock. While they have an excellent selection of other floats (pizza, swans, flamingos, Millenium Falcons, etc.), mine was a little popular and the warehouse was behind on shipping as I was told. Maybe they sensed my desperation, but they were friendly enough to advise me when their shipments came in, checked stores in the other areas and even called for me to confirm. By the last day I needed my float, I came in and Nacho remembered me. He told me one had come in that was on hold for over a week, but the person hadn't come to pick up the float despite their contact attempts. He ordered that person another one for free and gave me the one that had been sitting in their warehouse. I was super impressed and this place made my day. Excellent customer service. I had to contact WaterWay directly and wait two weeks for the new filter housing. They manager at Leslie's wasn't nice about it. He just shrugged his shoulders and said that's how it is. Jacuzzi has since sold to WaterWay Plastics. Already frustrated with having to do the work my service provider (Leslie's) should be doing, I was then presented with a $300 invoice for labor after install. I refused to pay for service I had already paid for up front with the extended warranty. The service techs were both very nice but I got the feeling they were not going to get paid by Leslie's for the work. Needless to say, I will never order anything from Leslie's again. A local small contractor will likely provide a better experience.
