An instructor led us from beginning to end making a bowl. They were very thorough, patient, and welcoming. We sat down on the wheel forming our clay within minutes, I'd say we had our fully formed bowls within 30-45 minutes. They pulled them for us and began drying them for us to glaze at the tables with the turntables. The place was pretty empty so they let us take our time with glaze. Overall a great experience! Would definitely recommend for a date, family outing, or any other event. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. It's worth a visit and there are memberships available as well!

I enjoyed looking through all the options of pottery. I really wanted the popcorn container shaped pottery but unfortunately they were sold out. I decided upon a cupcake container with a removable lid and my boyfriend chose the octopus. The staff was great. We had an employee show us the different painting techniques. We were shown how to choose the colors and the difference each color would have when it was the finished product. I appreciated that there are aprons to wear. It took us a little over 2 hours to complete our masterpieces. During this we snacked on snacks and drinks that I brought in - yes, it is byob (and snacks). I came in several days later to pick up our masterpieces and I loved my cupcake! It came out amazing. I think this can be as affordable of a date night you want it to be based on the items you choose to paint. We had a fantastic time talking and painting. Can't wait to come back.

The establishment was clean, well lit, and colorful. It was buzzing with energy and creativity. They allow us to choose our piece and had us take a seat for further instructions. I had been to a painting place before, but this provide provided more options for an increased amount of creativity. After taking some time to choose from the variation of colors that they had, we got to work. As closing time got near, we were getting a little anxious that we would not finish, but never felt rushed by the staff at all. They were super kind and helpful to us when asking questions. The music was on point and such a vibe. The cost was great as well. I look forward to seeing what my final project looks like & coming back again.

We had a whole conversation about how we just moved and they gave recommendations and get me signed up for special events at their shop (feels like it may be a way to meet new formers as we don't know anyone) they also just redid their event space which is so cute. I loved the wall color they chose and Sydney went absolutely above and baying and actually got me the paint color. How nice is that? I had not been to Sam's since they moved across the street a few years ago. As a customer I went for some colored pencils and the staff was extremely helpful in finding items for a gift. I was walked by a staff member to several areas of the store and items to choose from were placed in my hands while the staff member explained the features and made recommendations. The level of customer service and help is something you don't commonly see in retail stores these days. The store has a tranquil vibe which makes it fun to browse the many gift items. Their stock is unique in that they carry a breadth of items that are high quality at a range of prices. You can spend a lot of time here finding inspiration and treasures. They offer art classes and during the Christmas season they offered free make and take craft classes. They had a small cardboard 'house or cottage' setup inside the store with tables stocked with all the supplies you needed for that weeks's free project. This was not just for kids. My friend and I had fun making gift tags the day we were visiting the store. The store is beautiful inside and out. The beautiful murals that cover the outside walls echo the beauty and fun you will find inside the store. Since they are popular the parking lot can get pretty full.

Plus, it was started by a woman, and it focuses especially on helping women worldwide. I think that's super important. Bajalia has lots of very unique items, some beautiful, some puzzling, and some avant garde/over my head, yet interesting. I've gotten several gorgeous bangles here, as well as an amazing ring from Turkey, and a super, super pretty scarf. The items change seasonally, so check back every couple months to see what's new. I loved what they had in the winter, but the summer items are a bit too neon and bright for me. Still, it's definitely worth checking out. Prices range throughout the store, but the err on the side of being a bit pricier than I'm accustomed to. Granted, I'm used to Claire's and Target pricing, which says pretty much nothing. They have several good sales throughout the year, and if you become a fan of their Facebook page and join the mailing list, you'll be alerted as to when these occur. The store is on the south end of Park Ave. by Tutti Frutti and near Rollins. It's similar to Ten Thousand Villages, but the items a bit more interesting and unique (and expensive). (By expensive I mean bangles can run anywhere from $5 to $60, and scarves are generally over $40, probably closer to $50 or $60. This is pretty standard for many items that are Fair Trade, and I think the quality here is higher than some other places I've seen, both in-store and online.)
