I wanted to send flowers to family as a way to say "thank you" for having me over for the Labor Day weekend. It has been ages since I have been here, and I will admit, almost forgot about this place. So I stopped in here yesterday to take a look. A young man greeted me and took my information. We then got on the computer to look at all the available flower arrangements they have to offer. I was looking for something just to tell my family thank you for having me up to Atlanta, and I found a nice floral arrangement to send. If the occasion is for weddings, birthdays, congratulations, or other life events, Colonial Florist has it. They even have that bouquet to send for when you want to tell someone, "Sorry I ****** up." I called and ordered some flowers for a Celebration of life for my mother in law. I asked for colors close to Peacock colors- teals, green, blues etc. I could not have been happier when I arrived to get them. The person who created the arrangements captured my moms essence so well I just couldn't say it when I was there or else I was going to cry. The two tall pieces were put together with blue's, teal tipped carnations, mauve to break it up, a color mom also loved, and peacock feathers to accent. As we placed them on the floor board of the car, one of the tall stems broke. I went back in and asked if they could just wire it straight, instead they just replaced it. Hands down the greatest customer service I have ever experienced (and I'm a kind person) I called past delivery time and asked if they can deliver 8 bouquets to my grandmother for her 85th birthday since she lives in Florida and I live in California. I was in need of a sympathy plant to send to the home-going services that I was unable to attend of a friend's dad in Florida. The large Simply Elegant plant that I ordered was considerably less than their competitors!! Within 24hrs, the order was placed AND delivered with me receiving a confirmation email of delivery. Just in case the card was not received, I sent my friend a picture of the plant to let him know it was from me. I am in Texas, so I called Colonial because of their proximity to the hospital my sister is in in Orlando. It was about ten minutes before closing. The woman I spoke with was so kind and patient. I am so sad that I cannot think of her name right this minute but she was awesome. I explained my sister's allergies to very fragrant flowers and she suggested a few things. I wanted the flowers delivered before noon the next morning, which did cost $5.00 extra but I was ok with that. I live in Coral Gables, Fl and wanted to send some nice birthday present to a good friend of mine who lives in Orlando, Fl. I wanted to send a box of Dior miniature perfume bottle set, but the post office does not allow perfume bottles to be sent. What could I do? Also I needed to send the present quickly, because the post office delivery might take too long. I looked up the flower delivery places in Orlando and chose this Colonial Florist and got the beautiful flower arrangement sent to my friend. My friend was very happy and she sent me the picture of the beautiful flower arrangement this company delivered. I was grateful to a very nice lady named Vicky who works there and arranged to get the flowers delivered safely to my friend. I had made a mistake at first in ordering and she found out my mistake and called me up to sort it out. Thank goodness for that. Colonial Florist always "delivers!" - I have never been unhappy with the flowers that I've sent nor received from them. They do not put chintzy flowers in replacement for ones you see on their site. They go above and beyond to make a beautiful bouquet! This week I ordered flowers from two different florists. The other one was almost 3X as much and they failed big time. The flowers were just sad. In their picture it showed vibrant pink roses, what was sent was very pale looking roses that looked like they were on their way out. The vase was not the quality of the one pictured and they put a very cheesy single loop bow on it.
