Bridgeway bagel is a family owned small business loved and appreciated by the Sausalito and Marin Comunity. The bagels are baked fresh every day and they are amazing!!! They have friendly Latino workers who are kind and friendly to the guests. My family and I have tried several of their sandwiches and they are delicious! The bagels are perfect! I was looking for a place for a quick latte and stumbled across Bridgeway. I went in with VERY low expectations because usually little bagel joints like this don't know anything about coffee drinks. But I was blown away by the latte -- so creamy, so perfectly roasted, so foamy -- it was one of the better caffe lattes I have ever had. Came here with my parents on our way up to wine country. After perusing the menu, I decided to go with a rosemary and egg sandwich on a tomato and basil bagel. The bagel actually had great flavor, but the rest of the sandwich was pretty uninspired. Again, hit or miss. I just wanted to test their bagels and their scones. I ordered an orange - cranberry scone, which according to the owner is made offsite (at an outfit of which I don't remember the name). I should have recommended said owner, "Change that outfit" - scones were too ordinary, not such rich flour, kinda doughy. As for the bagel, nothing special. Yum! Great everything bagel, garlic and herb cream cheese, and generous portions of meat. I got turkey meat on my bagel, and it seemed like good deli quality meat, thick cut; not like the lunch meat you'd buy at the grocery store. All four of us got bagels with meat, egg and cheese (mine being the only one with cream cheese), plus two coffees. Our total was $24, which I thought was a good deal. The guys working there are nice, too. The bathroom should've been a bit cleaner, but I was grateful they let me use it. read more

Mostly negatives for Bridgeway Bagel. They take pride in their homemade dough, their boiling process and their different flavors but I think their "bagels" shouldn't really be called bagels at all. They are not fluffy, moist circles of goodness; they are tough and chewy at the same time. Most of them are very small and very thin. Ordering a bagel there is like playing Russian bagel roulette. I was house sitting down the street from this little place and had NOTHING to eat in the house and it was breakfast time. I drove down the street (it was pouring rain) and was pleasantly surprised by this dinky little place. My Order: Everything bagel with cream cheese and tomato. Stopped here after heading out of the city in the morning and wanted some breakfast that was quick and easy. Bridgeway has a large menu for such a small set up. I ordered the chipotle and pepper bagel with sausage, egg and swiss cheese. My wife pick up the sundried tomato with sausage and egg. The bagels are light and fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. It was so good I had to control my self to slow down. I wish my bagel has a little bit ore of a punch in the flavor department but it could have been over shadowed by the sausage so I guess I have to go back and get another plain one to really give it a go. My only complaint is it's a cash only spot. I randomly had a $10 spot in my car or else I would have used the inside ATM, which I don't know if it has a fee. I personally feel in this technology driven age every business should have at least a tablet with a card reader. But then again at a place like this, where the prices are pretty fair, if they could afford to lose that little bit of money, which is why I didn't take any stars away. read more

Excellent bagels made the traditional way. I highly recommend the garlic bagels -- they put a sprinkle of salt across the top, which I've never had before, and it's highly addictive. My boyfriend and i love love this place! We locally live in Sausalito and were always struggling to find bagels up to par for my new yorker bagel snob of a boyfriend. And let me tell you we haven't gone anywhere for bagels since. Yes its slightly annoying that they are not open on Sundays and happen to be cash only but hey grab a half dozen on Saturday and stick them in your freezer and there you have awesome bagels on a Sunday. The salt bagel and everything bagel are my top two favorites, this is the place to get your classic fresh and chewy bagels mmm mm mmm They also have awesome fruit smoothies! Actually a decent bagel (kalamata olive variety). I ordered the tuna melt which had some great spices, celery, and onions, and was topped off with provolone cheese. Not a bad meal for $6 including a bag of kettle chips. It looked like there weren't many bagels left by lunchtime, so the earlier you get here, the better chance you have at getting what you want. Working in the neighborhood, I have visited Bridgeway Bagel often. Their bagels are made using traditional recipes and baking techniques, which is the key reason for coming here. If you are looking for the "fluffy" goy type (as mentioned in some other reviews here) then go elsewhere. Bridgeway Bagels is probably the best "authentic" source in the Bay area and reminiscent of what one finds at Western Bagel in the Los Angeles area. The coffee is good and the sandwiches, whether for breakfast or lunch, are tasty. The decor is eclectic funk but the bagels should make customers overlook this. This is my new favorite place for a bagelwich! My bf and I have been searching for a good bagel place in the Mill Valley Area that is convinient for us. There is another place that is more convinent for me before work, but this place is so good i might have to go out of my way. We were so impressed by how fresh and how good the quality was, and they donate their unsold bagels to homeless shelters at the end of the day. I had the whole grain 9-grain bagel and it was SO good. Hands down the best (and possibly the only real) bagels in the bay area. Chewy and hard on the outside / soft on the inside, fresh, no need to toast deliciousness. No hipsters, no pretention, just great traditional bagels the way they're supposed to be. This place is very quaint, a bit run down, operates with very basic equipment, service is a bit slow, but they make a damn good bagel, and I happen to be a bagel nut. I love baking my own at home, I just rarely have the time these days. When it comes down to it, if I have the stomach for a heartier breakfast in the morning, this is my stop before work for some bagel and lox. The cream cheese spreads are very tasty as well.
