They steamed my wedding dress in one day - seeing how nervous I was about it, Zach assured me he would do it personally and did an outstanding job. Icing on the cake: he personally carried the dress home for me! Five stars service! read more

THE WORST LAUNDRY IN DUMBO --- and probably in ALL OF BROOKLYN. ZAK who is the owner is EXTREMELY rude. They have lost many clothes, they have given me other peoples laundry. and all he did was DENY the fact that it happened. not even giving me a credit. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! STAY FAR AWAYYY!!!!!! THEY ARE THE WORSTTTTTT!!!!!!! seriously. they should not even be in business. ** i don't even want to give them 1 star but i have to read more

I worked in Dumbo for 5 years, it was during that time that I got to know the quality of Bridgestone Cleaners work. That was also when I discovered Pablo, the tailor at Bridgestone, who is the BEST tailor in NYC! His ability to transform a garment is impeccable. Now living and working in Ft Greene, I happily make the trip to Bridgestone cleaners for all of my dry cleaning and tailoring needs. read more

I'm new to DUMBO and this was the only cleaner near my place. They provide good service, but you definitely pay for it. $3.25 to clean/press a shirt and $8 to dry-clean a shirt is not for budget-minded individuals... read more

Never going again - I brought brand new items to get dry cleaned because I had wrinkled them during my move to Dumbo. This place told me that my brand new items had stains - then charged me an extra $5 per item to remove each individual stain. I complained, none of these items had stains, but they stuck their story and I ended up having to pay over over $100 for just ten items. read more

I trusted them with my Wedding Veil and a designer piece and they lost both. My experience with Bridgestone is a very traumatic one and I will never ever go back and advice everyone to never ever work with this company. read more

Pablo is an absolute saint! As soon as I got into work my pants ripped down the middle so I stopped into Bridgestone to fix the issue. Pablo immediately came to the rescue and let me wait in their changing room while he fixed my pants. You'd be crazy not to use their services!! read more

Lifesavers! They pressed my wedding dress with only 3 days notice (it suffered in its journey from California) and did an outstanding job! Also really great customer service - one worker can in early to do the job and Zach volunteered delivery to my family's hotel so I wouldn't crunch it up again. I don't get the bad reviews. Especially the technical ones - the other location just sends everything here. They are professionals and know what they are doing. My dress looked amazing on my special day thanks to them! read more

Needed a last-second alteration on a pair of tux pants. Bridgestone did a great job and didn't BS me. Got my pants back the next day and I looked like 007. read more

Please do not become a customer of Bridgestone Cleaners! They have a big sign on their wall saying "100% satisfaction or you do not pay for the cleaning". But they won't honor it! And if you dare to question why your dress still has the same dirt marks on it that it did when you brought it in, they will say that they don't see anything. If you insist that they did a lousy job and that they should honor their guarantee, the owner himself will call you a "cu*t", tell you you need to get "F$@ked in the a**" and then, I kid you not, throw your dress into the middle of the street! This sort of verbal abuse towards customers is absolutely unacceptable under any circumstance. Please vote "NO" to Bridgestone Cleaners by not frequenting this establishment. There are plenty of other decent drycleaners out there that don't treat their customers this way read more

First time in and it will be the last, as my experience was so disappointing. I brought a tie a few days ago to be cleaned. I was very excited as I read the notice board about the fact that the team wanted the customers to feel safe and happy and that we would not pay if anything unexpected happened. When I came back on Saturday, a man gave me the tie without saying anything in particular and I dropped of a silk blouse. I duly paid $8.25 as requested and I left. What a bitter disappointment when I came back home and found out that the tie was not clean and that there was a big staint on it ! Then I found a small note inside the plastic wrap reading "sorry, we could not do it...". I must say I am chocked by this practice : I was not told anything when I went to pick my tie up. I was the only client in the store on Saturday morning. There was no rush, no crowd ... and nobody could tell me that there was a problem ? Secondly, since when are we supposed to pay for a not-provided service ? How phony was this notice board ! I came back eventually to the store as I wanted to hear the man's explanations. He had none and I confirmed that there was nothing to do, that this was normal that I paid and that this was normal not to tell me anything. So I picked up my silk blouse (which was given back to me as if it was a crumpled dish towel) and I promised to myself I would not come back. I will definitively go to the other cleaner in the street or to Brooklyn Heights area where there is a bunch of good cleaners who take care of what they do. read more

For most of my business career, I have been in search of a reliable tailor, a tailor who cares about the quality of his or her work. At Bridgestone -- which has locations in Cobble Hill and Dumbo -- I believe that I have found that tailor. My usual experience in having a suit tailored is to arrange a fitting. After waiting a week or two, I try on the tailored garment to find that the tailoring is bit off here and there. No problem. I expect no less for proper tailoring is not an easy process. What I do expect, however, is that a tailor acknowledge when an improperly fitted suit needs extra work and not try to convince a customer that the problem is your shirt, or that the customer need to lose a few extra pounds. Nothing worse than the seemingly inevitable confrontation about whether a suit needs further adjusting. Simply put, a good tailor should not let a customer walk out the door with an obviously ill fitting garment. The tailor at Bridgestone shows the pride in his work that a good tailor must show. I went to him after being deeply disappointed at another Brooklyn tailor, highly rate by NY magazine, who not only engaged in the lack of professionalism discussed above but attempted to extort a tip from me on top of his inadequate work. No such problem at Bridgestone. The tailor actually called me up before my return date to come in for another fitting to make sure that the collar on my suit lay properly. I deeply appreciate his work ethic and honesty. Finally I have found the tailor for whom I have been searching. read more

They're really great. I dropped off several pairs of pants to have some holes patched and buttons put on. When I came back, the price was higher than I expected (dumb me didnt think to ask about pricing when I dropped off). The manager went through every piece of clothing and explained why it was done this way and charged the same way. He did end up knocking off $25 to the final tally which was cool. They definitely try to work with their customers:) read more

I just used the Bridgestone Apartment Cleaning Service for the first time and I am 100% convinced. They sent a really nice guy over who was cleaning like a mad man. He was super fast and very detail oriented. And when he left, he even took the garbage out without being asked to do so. My apt looks so nice now! I highly recommend this service! It is worth the money. read more

Bridgestone SUCKS! I am so sick of people ABUSING the "green"/environmentally friendly catchphrase. Seriously, find something else to lie about, won't you? I sent my wash and fold the other day and it came back WREAKING of that horrible dryer sheet smell that takes FOREVER to get rid of, AND they packaged up the clothes in toxic, chemically scented plastic bags. When I called them, they agreed to re-wash the clothes, but insisted that it was somehow my fault. The clothes (sheets and towels) still wreak, but sorry...Nothing more they can do. Don't waste your money. If you don't care about eco-friendly laundry, then I'm sure you can save a buck by going elsewhere. If you do care, then you are going to be sorely disappointed...Furious is more like it... read more

We have been using Bridgestone Cleaners for the past 2 years or so, ever since we moved to DUMBO from the Upper East Side. We have been satisfied with their service and work product quality. Their prices are not cheap (i.e., comparable to, if not more than, Manhattan prices), and we would like the prices to be more comparable to overall NYC prices, but we have been satisfied with both Bridgestone's customer service and quality of returns. In particular, we have to mention Anna, the nice lady at the counter, who has been such a pleasure to deal with, and who has gone out of her way to try to meet our requests. It makes a difference to us. We're happy customers. read more

Having recently relocated to Brooklyn from Beverly Hills the thing I was most concerned about was replacing the dry cleaner I had been using for over 25 years. Bridgestone Cleaners has relieved me of any of these concerns. Right away I was treated as if I were one of their most cherished long term clients. The staff could not be more accommodating to my particular needs. They are a pure example of what you would imagine "personalized service" to be. My cleaning was picked up and returned to me at the scheduled times, and I even received text communication informing me of their anticipated arrivals. The quality of their work is what I had grown accustomed to from my former cleaner. I will miss my old dry cleaner, but my clothing has found it's new home in Dumbo! read more

Do not recommend. We've had normal experiences with dry cleaning but the tailor's work is substandard. It's fine for hemming or taking in pants at the waist (over priced, but quality it acceptable) just don't bring them anything more complex. They aren't detail oriented and have little understanding of proportion. read more

I brought in two shirts to get cleaned and I received only one back through the Bridgestone delivery service. Like most cleaners, Bridgestone wraps and seals their cleaning deliveries. With only one shirt contained in the delivery, it was clear that this was an error on their end. Management response was less than adequate. They claimed to have looked for the shirt, but were unable to find it. I can understand this, but what followed was extremely frustrating. I received a letter from a Bridgestone manager stating, "When the order was delivered and signed for (by my doorman), the pieces were accounted for until that point". This clearly was not the case as the delivery was sealed, containing only one shirt. They even charged me for two. Their refusal to accept any responsibility was both surprising and disappointing. Needless to say, I will not be using their services again and I look forward to their demise. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE!! A TOTAL RIP OFF!! I have lived in the area for several years and just gave Bridestone a try. They charged me DOUBLE what a suit cleaning costs at other local cleaners & when I called to discuss it, I was quoted different costs in the same conversation. Do they make up pricing on a whim? I was overcharged but the guy I spoke with refused a refund, saying store credit was their policy! Eventough they overcharged me...I will NEVER use this place again given their HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and sky high pricing! read more

I love these guys! in addition to their quality laundering and dry-cleaning, they have amazing customer service. It's always "Please" and "Thank you" and "Sure. No problem." Defintiely the best dry cleaning in the neighborhood. Thanks Bridgestone! read more

Only gave them 1 start because I can't rate them any lower. The owner & son (manager) are very rude and speak to people in a very sarcastic manner. I dropped off some clothes and received calls hours before my scheduled delivery saying that some clothes needed extra time to remove the "stains". Why wasn't I notified 4 days prior when I dropped off my clothes. After that situation, I received half of my order wrinkled and stained. I do not appreciate this service especially if I'm spending outrageous amounts of money and receiving my clothes back stained and damaged. Message to owner: please put your modern day sweatshop to better use read more

Zach at Bridgestone Cleaners SAVED my coral Chanel leather shorts that had oily hair product in spots all over them. In 24 hrs the shorts where as good as new and the terrible accident was reversed. Zach, worked quickly, kept in touch with progress and was so reasonable price wise. Love this place! Thank you thank you thank you! Full 5 stars - GREAT service. read more

Prices seem to be way too high compared to the other cleaners in the area. Overall, service was good but remnants of a berry stain are still there. Can't blame them since other places weren't able to do much better. read more

Great local laundromat. Service is always prompt and always use them when I'm in town staying with my parents.

After using Bridgestone for alterations, dry cleaning, and repairs on several occasions, I've come to the conclusion that their standards are inconsistent. There was a time when my dry cleaning had to be sent back to be redone. There was a time when a repair was only partially done. And there was a time when an alteration was not ready at the time promised. I consider my time valuable. This location is convenient, but I have to say the work here isn't worth the premium prices for me. read more

This dry cleaner happily took my cash to dry clean a pillow from my couch, but instead of dry cleaning it, they washed it and dried it shrinking in by as much as 20%. This owner is such a jackass. He admitted to everything, and would not take responsibility for any of it. He would not replace the pillow or reimburse me. He wouldn't even return the money for the dry cleaning. Run, don't walk out of this dry cleaner. read more

Great attention to detail and care with my garments. Anna carefully studies each item and finds every thing that might need attention; a small tear to mend, a spot to receive special attention, a button that is loose. I bring my clothes from Manhattan because this level of care is hard to find. And by the way, the clothes are perfectly cleaned, nothing missed. read more

This is really a terrific dry cleaner. Not only did my clothes come out as good as new, but my complex tailoring job (pants alteration) was done to my exact strict specifications. With the drycleaning, upon intake, my pants were carefully examined and I was asked if I needed pleats or not. I really appreciated this attention to detail. The fit from the tailoring was fantastic. Quite honestly, I've never seen tailoring get done with that quality in such a speedy manner. Give this cleaner a try, they're worth it! read more

I've had nothing but excellent experience when I come here which is quite often. We've taken multiple clothing items to get tailored by the skilled Pablo and have always been satisfied with the outcome. Furthermore, I have trusted this location for all of my wedding needs. When I had questions about steaming my dress, I was given Zach the manager's personal cell phone number to call and coordinate a time for me to stop by so he could there to look at the wedding dress. Once I showed up, he was extremely attentive and did an on-the-spot steam clean for me (since I had to leave town in a couple of days). I was so impressed by his professionalism and customer service! Also, I found a tear in my wedding veil and I ran over to Bridgestone where Zach saved the day again and had Pablo work on the rip right away. A rip in a veil is not easy to fix but when I got it back from them it looked perfect! I always feel like I am being take care of when I go here and know that the staff and manager take pride in their work and try their best to satisfy their customers and that's what counts. read more

I love these guys. I've used them for almost 8 years. Their service orientation is impeccable and the quality is the best. They treat my clothes the way I think they should be treated. Big shout out to Ana and Lou for giving me rush items not only on time but ahead of expectations! read more

Worst dry cleaning I've ever had! My clothes didn't smell clean (the armpits of my dresses smelled sweaty), one dress was faded badly, and another came back with cat hair on it. A jacket I had just purchased from a small boutique in Paris was absolutely ruined when greasy food was spilled all over it at a party. I was convinced it was done for but the guys at Bridgestone took the jacket and like magic it was cleaned with absolutely zero evidence - smell or otherwise - of the stain. And great customer service too! I was so impressed and will absolutely bring all of my dry cleaning needs to them in the future. Thank you Bridgestone! read more

I LOVE Bridgestone cleaners. After my wedding, my white lace wedding dress was more than a bit muddy at the bottom. Bridgestone made it like new!!
