This is the spot!! Being new to the area, my husband and I really wanted to find a friendly neighborhood bar that we can hang out at. This place has it all, decent beer, good pours, you can get some snacks if you get hungry and a bunch of different entertainment. You can play pool or pinball and if you are into it they have video poker too. The bartenders are always nice and get your drinks out quick. They have multiple tv's so I'm sure it's a good spot for any big games. Excited for the warmer weather so we can enjoy the patio too!

I'll start off by saying the staff here is lovely and very attentive! This is our local bar that we like to go to. They have an affordable and tasty happy hour menu as well as a non-happy hour menu. Everyday of the week they have drinks specials just look around for the boards they write on. The establishment is clean yay! The burgers are one of my favorite things from Brickyard. The front of Brickyard offers seating with lots of lighting and big windows, and the back is more of a dim lighting with pool tables, darts and video poker. There is lots of seating out back on the patio.

Great service!! We were greeted the second we walked in. Never had to ask for a refill. Our waitress was on it. Super clean, great crowd and yummy food on Happy Hour 3-7

Cool place, I liked the happy hour burger. The fries left something to be desired. Beer was great.

[Format & Space] Seat yourself*, review the menus at the table, order at the bar, they bring your food and drinks to your table. *Plenty of tables, some with long benches, others with chairs on the inside. There's also a large patio. This is a welcome and safe space. [Drinks] Right up front, I'm going to tell you I'm a lightweight. I'm allergic to alcohol, so I don't drink often. Here's one of the things I love about The 649. They have a fantastic selection of mocktails that are created with the same creativity, flair, and intention as a "leaded" cocktail. I appreciate that I get to participate and not be stuck with a lemonade, zero alcohol beer, or wine. So, HUZZAH for creating an inviting space for a non-drinker! There *are* times when I'm willing to risk the lobster-bod, itchiness, and stuffy nose and there are plenty of cocktails from which to choose! [Food] There's a nice selection of sharable plates and mains. I've personally tried the flatbread pizza, Bavarian pretzel, Cubano, and Brisket Press, all of which were delish. [Service] The service has always been fabulous. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. [Activities] There are a few TVs around the bar with sports. It was a great place to catch some of the World Cup games. Additionally, there are several games that you can borrow and play, which is a lot of fun. [Location] Tucked in a busy shopping center with Safeway as an anchor. Parking hasn't been super problematic yet, but based on one of the other reviewers (Ron R - loved your formatting too, so I borrowed it until we get rich text formatting or emojis!) I can see where it could be a challenge.

The bartender was an older gentleman that seemed like he would be the sweetest grandpa, and he was very attentive and easy going. He really made you feel welcomed. They also lived up to their name as a tap house, and had a wide variety of drinks to choose from. There were some tvs available if you want to watch sports, but I wouldn't recommend it if that's what you're looking for. This is more of cozy place to hang out, kind of like a coffee shop, but with beer.

Today Steph & I stopped in and tried the beer cheese nachos with pulled pork, along with their limited-edition pizza of the month, The Beeferton. OMG; this pizza absolutely needs to be a permanent addition to the menu! Think a classic Detroit-style deep dish crossed with a Philly cheesesteak, all topped with their amazing beer cheese; it is just an incredibly light and amazing combo of flavors! Speaking of that beer cheese, it is truly the star of the show here; in fact, I'm convinced anything on the menu that lists it is really just a beer cheese delivery mechanism! The venue itself has a great, laid-back atmosphere with a super friendly staff with a fantastic selection of craft beer on tap to pair with everything on the menu. We'll definitely keep coming back; especially if they keep making pizzas like The Beeferton!

I was raving…read moreabout it for weeks after my trip because of the beer selection and smashburger quality and price. I was super excited to visit this one a few years later, and sure enough the beer selection was still amazing, and though it did cost more than last time, the food pricing was still pretty good. Unfortunately where it feel short was the food execution. The food took about 45 minutes to come out, and some of the items came a bit staggered. The corn dog spent too much time in the fryer and came out pretty crisp, not the shade you want to see your corndog. The Super smashburger we ordered didn't actually have smashburger patties, just regular, and then the Mcloyal that was ordered did have smashburger patties. So it wasn't a case of these don't seem like smashburgers, since we were able to compare the two. It was a Thursday night of a holiday weekend and it was pretty crowded, so the kitchen fell behind, not sure if it's always like that here. It's still a cool spot, they've got plenty of seating inside and out, all sorts of beers, and a full bar with a good cocktail menu. They're also kid and animal friendly, at least earlier in day/evening.
