We had a flight of beer and they were all great.....except for one....we should have listened to Beth our bartender who told us we might not like it. Food was fantastic, if you've never had avocado fries, get four orders and thank me later. My wife had the bison burger, it was delicious. I had the protein bowl. Brick town brewery will do well here. Once they work out the kinks, it will be one of those places that is consistently always busy. Think of a puffed up cheddars, where everything on the menu is delicious, but there's a 1/2 an hour wait no matter what time of day you go. And, add another 5 bucks on to the menu price of everything at cheddars... and you have bricktown brewery. It's disappointing that they have brewery in their name and do not make their own beer on site... pretty sure this is the reason that the house brews I asked for they did not have in stock. I understand they're learning our market, but it would be beneficial to have your own product on tap. The servers are also obviously still learning too, but they are friendly and eager so that's nice. I ordered the short rib burger (which was absolutely delicious) with the sweet potato fries, which were also top notch. The best part of our dinner was the cheese curd appetizer though. Definitely definitely order this! They are light and fluffy and still cheesy and delicious. I don't know how they make their batter, but I will order them every time. Their patio is also confusing to me. Granted, I was expecting it to stay set up the same as when Old Chicago was in this location, but it's not. There's a random pool table and a bunch of chairs outside. No patio tables and no place to sit your beer. Leaning over and picking my beer glass up off the concrete while I wait for my dinner table was pretty awkward. They need to either put some high top tables or other seating options outside. They do text when your table is ready, so that's another plus. All in all, it's gonna be one of those steady dependable places to go here in Springfield. read more

I wanna start by saying that I plan on doing a follow up on these guys here in a couple months. I don't feel like they quite had their feet under them just yet. With that said, the service was absolutely wonderful! Attentive, pleasant staff was right on top of things! The meal started off with the highlight, for me! The Watonga Cheddar Curds were delicious, even if they were a little greasy. The beer selection was impressive, but unfortunately the first two beers I picked they were out of. I settled on a Mother's Octoberfest and waited for my burger and slaw. Unfortunately, they were both under seasoned. Boo. All in all, I would say this place is good to go have an appetizer, drink a few beers, and head on your way. Wow. So good. Stopped here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and now I love this place. The food was terrific. Seriously, the burger (bleu ribbon) might have been one of the best burgers I've ever had, and definitely the best in SGF. Go for the carmel sweet potato fries and you won't regret it. The beer menu was excellent and the recommendations from our amazing server (Logan) hit the spot. And I can't say enough great things about her - Logan was attentive, friendly, and top notch in every way. We had one minor glitch with an item but the manager took care of it promptly and completely. Will definitely come back. read more

I can't believe it, I sat at the bar for 15 minutes, 4 bar staff and I couldn't order my dinner or a drink. The bar wasn't full, Plenty of open seats but the staff wanted to talk to their friends and other workers. Oh what a fun brewery! Really creative pictures were scattered around which I really appreciated. They have about 6-7 of their own brew on tap (hubby had Bricktown Bluesberry which he loved) and I had a bottled rootbeer which they also brew. Looking around everyone's food looked absolutely amazing which made me excited to order. Their menu had items that were not your basic "American" grub. In fact it made it almost impossible to decide what to get! I ended up getting a cup of French Onion soup and a plate of Boom Boom shrimp, we also got fish & chips that were made from cod. The cheese in my soup was so good. I could have just eaten a plate of that. The "small plate" of boom boom shrimp atop a portion of fries was enormous and flavorful. The cod was fluffy and meaty. I cannot wait to come back and try the hatch green Chile burger. (We asked for a side of their Chile to try and it's so good!!) Service was friendly and swift. Our in house dining experience was made uncomfortable due to their seating other diners directly behind us on the bench seating which put them within 12-20 inches head to head. To make matters worse the manager argued with me that they were only required to keep people three feet apart, not six feet as I advised. I did report them to law enforcement so perhaps their seating arrangement has been revised. Food was also marginal which may have been a product of our eating faster than normal to remove ourselves from what we considered to be an unsafe environment. read more

Dinner on Friday night May 10th, Graduation weekend, the place was packed! Order a Sharable Plate; Sea Salt Carmel Fries, one of the best apps in town, and that I've had ever! Wife ordered Beer-Battered Fish and Chips, excellent. The fried fish was not greasy, and the meat tasted fresh. The "chips" (fries) were quite ordinary after the shareable plate. Overall would recommend ordering. I ordered the Hatch Green Chile Sandwich, the Brioche bun was fresh, the Hatch Chile relish very flavorful, i mistook the the white queso for melted Swiss... the cheese didn't have the consistency of queso that you would expect, chicken breast was a tad dry but still had good flavor. Overall the sandwich needed more moisture. Maybe adding a green chili aioli would help. I would recommend this sandwich, if they fix the consistency of the queso. For a side I ordered the tater tots.... BIG MISTAKE, worst decision of the night. Fried mashed potato balls, they were seasoned with a seasoning that was not pleasant. Would not recommend the tots. Overall I would recommend this restaurant, previous visits we ordered the burgers which were wonderful. read more

I love the food here and the staff are nice but I do not like that currently every staff member is wearing gloves!! I would like to know, if your kitchen staff comes in contact with money or anything not food related whIle wearing gloves then you are supposed to change your gloves!! Which I'm sure they do. So why would the rest of the staff be wearing gloves while serving food, drinks, picking up dirty dishes and handling money? I know they don't change out their gloves after going to each table. Washing your hands constantly makes more sense than wearing gloves. You're only protecting the glove wearer, not the guests. read more

Great Burger at a good price how the hatch Chile and queso burger. The Burger was perfectly cooked juicy on the inside but not raw. The only thing I didn't like was the tortilla chips on it. The flavor overpowered the delicious Burger. Also had the traditional Brick Town Burger It was also delicious. The French fries were nothing special. The in house potato chips are good only thing is they're little on the thick side. Did I mention the beer menu? The beer me menu is extensive. Being fall just started had to try the O'Fallon Vanilla Pumpkin AMAZING! Our server MJ was attentive Without being intrusive. I've eaten here a few times during different times of the day. The food is great. Especially the boneless wings. My daughter ordered them when we came the first time and I was shocked at how well they were done. They weren't over cooked, the sauce was adequate for the wings. Typically have to ask for more sauce. I had the pizza and was happy to have a place that actually makes good pizza. The last time we went we decided to order the boneless wings along with our pizza to see if it was fluke. They didn't disappoint! The chicken was cooked perfectly and had plenty of sauce.
