Came in for the first time at Bricktops for Sunday brunch. My friend and I started off with prickly pear margaritas, which were delicious, and then our server suggested the steak and lobster Benedict as well as the French toast. Both were perfectly executed. Brick tops Naples is part of a chain but it exceeds your expectations from the very get-go. This lively restaurant during season is impossible to get a reservation during prime time. But if you are lucky enough to get one, you'll be greeted by top-notch professional hosts, and showered with great service by one of the best trained restaurants I've ever experienced. They are pleasant, helpful they know the menu and they're happy to accommodate split dishes and even splitting a glass of wine when we ordered our second round. The food is excellent fresh and well prepared. You can't go wrong here. The tavern burger and the French dip are two of my favorites but honestly, they're just too many other great options to mention. Bricktops is located in the upscale Waterfront Shops. I'm originally from the Phila & NY area where getting a good Ruben is expected. Today may have been the best Ruben I ever had ! The brisket was piled high and virtually melted in my mouth. The service was also excellent. It may be due to location / rent but my only reason for 4 stars was cost. Came here for lunch for lunch and it's busy even in August on a Friday. I had a gin and tonic and it doesn't have a lot of alcohol but it has flavors or star anise and cloves ($15). I split a French dip ($23?) and it was just plain shaved beef (there was very little)... no cheese and no caramelized onion. The shoe string fries are okay. Also split firecracker sushi roll which was really flavorful with a little spicy kick and dominated by the brown eel sauce (can't taste the crab) - it was pricey too ($22/23). This ended up being a $90+ lunch for 2 and we left a little hungry. Not sure what the hype is. read more

The good first..... atmosphere and service is great. Food is always good. Bad news.... Pricing is questionable.... We had two iced teas, two crab cake salads, and with a 15% tip came to $97.00. Don't let the name fool you - Bricktops is top of the line dining. Things are serious here as waiters and waitress are dressed neat and uniform consistent. Dining room(s) are a handsome red as booths and tables with lamps are beyond comfortable. This place is for real. Our dining selections were simply excellent... It is pricey, but not the most expensive in town. The bar area seemed popular. The indoor dining is intimate but well-spaced, and outdoor dining is offered as well. The food was of high quality and of predominantly ample proportions. We had calamari and a spicy sushi as appetizers. Both were very good. I had the grilled Red Snapper in champagne beurre blanc. It was very well-prepared but, for $44.00, I found the portion to be a bit small. My wife had the sliced steak frites in bernaise sauce, which were nicely done and of a good portion size. We came here for a nice lunch based on yelp reviews as we were going to be in the waterside shops area. We sat at the bar -- which is huge. The place was quite busy when we entered and even as we were leaving. One server covered the entire bar herself. She did a great job. This is an upscale restaurant. Visitors and regulars were all dressed in their golf apparel/resort wear. Most of the clientele were either retired or looking to meet someone. The lunch menu had a wide variety of options. Everything from meatloaf to club sandwiches to salads. Plus there is a separate menu of sushi items. Had I had more time, I might even have tried their grilled artichoke appetizer which the gal sitting next to me was enjoying with aioli dip. My husband ordered their deviled eggs appetizer. They came with several pieces of crisp, thick, sweet candied bacon. He said they were very good with a dash of hot sauce. He also had their wedge salad with a nice amount of crumbled blue cheese and blue cheese dressing. I opted for their Palm Beach salad which was quite good, but not as described on the menu -- or as I thought it was going to be. I expected a bowl of greens topped with crab and shrimp and avocado slices. Instead it was a tower with from the bottom up it had a layer of guacamole, then a layer of crab salad with mayo, a layer of chopped tomatoes, then small pieces of shrimp mixed with the minutest bit of remoulade sauce. On the very top were chunks of hard boiled eggs. Along side this tower was a bit of (pea shoots?) greens and cherry tomato halves in a very light vinaigrette. The bartender did get me some additional dressing. They even brought over a small bowl of lettuce when I told her it wasn't the salad as described. I took the dressing and sent back the chopped lettuce. Like I said, it was quite good, just not what I'd pictured. Prices were as expected. Not outrageous and certainly well worth the price of what we ordered. I'd definitely come back again when next in the area. read more

From the beginning, we were not greeted but when the girl came, and later a gentleman who sat us, no welcoming smile or comment. Then, Our server was just ok. Again, cold, just did what he had to and then leaves. Although it was my fault for not telling them I have a gluten allergy, there were many times the server should have been suspicious and ask why. Specifically asked about the fries, are they plain? He said yes, only salt and pepper seasoning. Not true, it was coated In gluten, yes I got sick but thankfully took my meds asap, when I felt sick. When I asked about the taco shell made of corn, and make sure it was corn, usually that is another hint for the question why? Regardless, though I got sick, the lacking of another star does not reflect this. What it does reflect is that Everyone here needs a lesson on customer service, people skills are definitely lacking here. The feel is like they are just tolerating us. My husband also voiced this when we said it felt like what Whole Foods use to feel like before Amazon took it over. Stuck up attitude. Most other outdoor seating restaurants have fans or cooling devices to make guests comfortable. They could use some more menu options. We were there for lunch and everything for an entree was about $20 or more. I got the bbq ribs with coleslaw and mashed potatoes. It had a little kick to it. Excellent place for lunch. My family and I came here for lunch on the last day of our vacation. We were seated immediately in their outdoor section (our request). Our server was very polite, professional and attentive to all of our dining needs. My family had the baby back ribs (which were the best we had on our vacation), lobster roll (which was excellent and had lots of lobster), and I had the Ahi Tuna Burger - all of which I highly recommend as these dishes were delicious and well worth the price (individual dishes were not expensive). For dessert we had the chocolate chip cake with ice cream that came in a small black skillet and key lime pie. Both were awesome and I strongly recommend to get one (or in our case both).
