Warm, inviting ambiance... roomy. This place does not stack tables upon tables. You can dress casually but, you won't look out of place dressing up either. This place makes my favorite sandwich in town. I swore it used to be called their French Dip but, now it's called their Prime Rib sandwich. Thinly sliced prime rib and mayo on a soft yet crusty bread served with a side of au jus, horseradish, & super skinny fries. Once I dip my sandwich in the Au Jus, there isn't anything else in Naples I'd rather be eating. That sandwich alone is 5stars. I've also had the blue cheese crusted filet. It's twice the size of Outback's larger filet and cooked as ordered. Medium-rare here is really a medium rare. Beautiful cuts of meat for only a few bucks more. This is your best bang for your $$$ w/o stepping into pricier venues with quality meat (ie Fleming's or Capital Grill). The tenderloin flatbread is great too. Love the blue cheese, mashed potato, and red onion combo. Comes on a 20" rectangular plate... it's more food than you'd think it is. I've never finished it. The only appetizer I've ever had is the beef carpacchio. Nice appetizer for 3 people. Too much for 1 (maybe 2)... and not enough for 4 people. Again, the beef is sliced ever so thin, nice arugula greens, with balsamic & parmesan flakes, and about 5 pieces of crostini bread flats. Service is the only thing that prevents me from giving 5 stars. At lunch, the waitstaff is a bit more relaxed as it is slower at times. This doesn't so much bother me. My only complaint would be the staff might only be one or two waiters serving the 8 or so tables... less of a chance for your refill as no one is really hustling. But still, good enough for 3.5 stars. The dinner time waitstaff is quick & efficient. No complaints there, 4-5 stars. The bar staff, however, seemed to have a stick up their asses. I'm not a fan of eating a meal at the bar but, took the opportunity when out with 2 friends. I was asked what I wanted to drink, as well as my friends... carded... and was then asked again what I wanted to drink. 2 beers, and one drink for the 3 of us... not hard to remember. The bartender asked if I would be having anything to eat (with about as much enthusiasm as my shoe). She wrote up our ticket and placed our order like it was a request for some extra ketchup. Never asked how the food was (wouldn't have hurt b/c I would've told her it was fantastic) and never showed any interest in ensuring that we were having a nice meal. We had to request all of our drinks and refills... and "no", the bar was not busy. My drink, at best, was OK but average. 2 stars for service at the bar. I'd highly recommend this restaraunt but, would also highly recommend to get a table for your dinner. The bar service is not worth it, and not neccessary unless you will be waiting for some time. I met a friend for lunch at Bricktops today - hadn't been there for a long time, and had forgotten just how good this place is. We ordered salads - the presentation on the Cobb salad was unique and the salad itself was delicious. Loaded with bacon and chicken, and served with a light seasoned oil dressing. My friend chose a barbecued chicken salad which was large and more traditionally presented. Oddly, neither salad was served with bread. However, we still had plenty to eat! Service was polite and prompt. The ambience was quiet and conducive to conversation, with a contemporary clean decor. Dining late October, before season, early dinner, around 5:30pm. Dining room was very quiet, so sat in bar. I was greeted by one server who took my drink order. Not sure why, but ended up with a different server who had as much personality as my paper cocktail napkin. Food was pleasingly good, I had a Caesar salad, which included better quality cheese. I had an asian seabass which was very nicely prepared and had a good flavor. For dessert I had a bread pudding which was good enough (I've had better, but it wasn't dellightful). My wife and I love Bricktops we have been coming here since it opened 15 or so years ago. Everything is fresh and top quality. Cocktails are excellent. Favorite dishes are grouper with lump crab add on, prime rib, any of the salads and don't forget dessert! After a game of tennis and no breakfast we were looking for a nice place to eat. Who knew how many places in Naples would be closed for Sunday lunch. Yelpers had us salivating over USS Nemo but they were not open for lunch. We tried another Yelp suggestion, also apparently on Sunday siesta. So we ended up at the mall and decided to try one of the chains that was new to us- Bricktops. Upon entering, it was clear that this restaurant was owned by the giant conglomerate that owns Houston's. So we knew we would have good quality food. We were going to order the seared sushi quality tuna burger. Fortunately, we asked them to give more details about this fish sandwich and to our surprise the seared sandwich was ground tuna not a piece of seared tuna. That seems like a waste of good quality fish to us. Instead we ordered the fish tacos which was served as two soft shell tacos with a reasonable piece of fish and lots of guacamole in the taco itself. There was also cabbage in it and a slightly sweet flavor which made a bit different from your average fish taco. We also got the sliced steak salad. It was a fair portion but if you are hungry you might want more food. The meat was tender and tasty and the presentation was pleasing. It came with both red and yellow beats (we love beats) as well as blue cheese and boston leaf lettuce. It's not laid out like a mixed salad so if you are looking for a giant bowl of greens keep looking. In all the food was good but our real disappointment emanated from our waitress who had a sourpuss, did not bring my extra lime as requested, and was really slow to refill our drinks (remember our tennis game). What can I say? I have been here many times and had great food and service. However, I came in to Brick tops and was standing at the bar next to my dad for about 5-10minutes. I gentleman next to my dad was leaving and told him I could have his seat. I have been to this bar many times, and sat down on a first come first serve basis. This time however, after I sat in the seat, a bartender told me to get up, that there was a list for people who had been waiting. I said I had been waiting as well, and the bartender replied "no you haven't." She told me to get out of the seat and let 3 other people take my spot. I felt very disrespected by the incredibly unprofessional bartender. I suppose my complaint isn't with the restaurant, and their manager actually handled the situation well, but rather the bartender herself and the fact that the restaurant would hire someone with such a poor attitude. Customer service is important, and this was handled about as poorly as a bartender could. Although again, the management did do the best they could to make it up to me. read more

Getting here is a little bit of a hassle. It's directly inside the Waterside Shops so the parking lot is practically full to capacity. There's also a lot of traffic and agrressive drivers, too. I was surprised by the low amount of people that were eating here. The have great food and service, so I don't understand why there was more people at the time we came. I guess they have more reservations in the evening towards 6:00pm or later. The music was low so you can hear the person next to you and enjoy the conversation you're having. The seating is nice and confrotable. We sat in the booths so I have no opinion about the chairs My party arrived at 3:30pm and I wanted the NY Sirloin Steak but they don't serve dinner until 4:00pm. In my opinion, lunch should end at 2:00pm and dinner should start directly after. The waiter was very friendly, nice, and made the exception for me. It was deliciously prepared! We were nothing short of impressed with the elegant setting, timely service, and savory flavor of our meals. I brought my elderly mom here for a delicious lunch, but we almost didn't make it in. The entrance is challenging for someone using a walker because you have to circle wide around to use a ramp, then navigate a cluster of couches and chairs to reach the door. Surprisingly, the hostess was clueless about what to do with a walker (this *is Naples, with millions of old people) but I just had her take away a chair and put the walker in its place. Enough about that. The crab cakes were excellent, with very little breading, the ahi tuna burger was amazing, and the fresh English peas were too good to pass up. Came back again on vacation this year! I went with my standard sushi and salad. The menu states side salads can only be ordered with main entrees which might be the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Our server wasn't sure if sushi counted so she asked and thankfully it did. To me that just seems like a way to nickel and dime your customers. Our server was nice, we encountered slow service here again. Even my friend commented on it and thought it must be a southern thing. She got a flatbread and while she liked it, she did end up getting sick later. I don't think she would go back. My sister again got the BBQ chicken salad and she said it was good. My mom got the Parmesan chicken and loved it. We ended with the cookie sundae for dessert which was amazing! Recently went to Bricktop's in Naples on recommendation from our hotel. Hotel concierge was able to get us in for a mid-evening reservation even though when I called I was told only a 4pm or 8pm reservation was available. We were also 'warned' that we could go at our preferred time but we would need to be out in an hour or they couldn't take us. I know it is "season" but I thought that was rather rude. Frankly I didn't care. I knew our wine order would more than make up for it. We were seated immediately upon arriving which I took to be a good sign. Server introduced herself and pointed out the specials on a separate card from th e main menu then asked if we would have wine (cocktails were not initially offered). We ordered some soft drinks, a few 'by the glass' wines and a single initial bottle to share at the table. As a few people debated, she THEN offered a cocktail list but by then we settled on the wine. Drinks arrived, wine was poured, properly - then orders taken. When it got to me I asked a very specific question regarding the composure of the entree I wanted as I have some dietary challenges and allergies. The server thought for a minute and made a substitution recommendation that seemed like it would solve the issue nicely. Appetizers arrived all at once (sweep service!) and nicely placed in front of the people who ordered them. Entrees showed up - not quite a sweep - and I knew immediately on looking at mine that it was not prepared properly. There were two other servers helping our table at the time so I asked to speak with ours - the gentleman offered assistance instead and I explained my allergy. As well, I had asked for a sauce to be on the side and on looking at it, it looked 'broken' and generally not right. He insisted that it was the way it was supposed to be. We haggled over what needed to be done to fix my entree. He departed. While I waited for the fix, our server came up and asked what was wrong. When I explained she huffed and said she wrote allergy on the ticket - thereby throwing the kitchen under the proverbial bus. When it came time for dessert I mentioned that none of the dessert offered would suit since they all contained the offensive ingredient. Service in general was good, attentive and timely, wine was spectacular and while the first bottle was poured by the staff, our guests took to pouring the 2nd bottle ourselves as that element seemed to go by the wayside to food. The allergy issue was not addressed, never acknowledged by a manager nor by the kitchen and we were still charged. Watch this Bricktop's - if I didn't realize what I was eating, you could have given me a severe reaction. With your aged population in the area, you need to be proactive in dealing with these types of requests. read more

This used to be my favorite "go to" restaurant, but most recently I find The prices have been raised to exorbitant levels ($20 for a hamburger) and portions reduced significantly. When I approached management, I learned the restaurants proprietor doesn't listen to the managers and feel Neapolitan's will continue to patronize despite changes made. I think we're smarter than that! When a restaurant takes their clientele for granted, they lose it. I ordered a wedge salad and a sliver less than half inch was delivered at an exorbitant price. This has been one of our favorite "go to" places. The food and service has usually been very good. I've always liked that the options ranged from full entrees to lighter salads and sandwiches. Lunch and dinner menus slightly different. In the past if I requested something from the lunch menu, e.g. crab cake salad it was offered graciously. However the last couple visits this has not happened. Plus the prices have gone up a lot. I am disappointed that time has changed this restaurant so that I don't look forward to eating there as much as in the past. read more

This is my first time at a Brick Tops. I was amazed at how busy it was. They had plenty of parking, but because it was busy spots were hard to come by. You can really tell if a place it's really good, by the amount of customer are in its parking lot. Moving forward, I was by myself so I went to the bar. The ambiance was comfortable. Being in Florida, there were a larger number of older patrons. i didn't know you can have so much fun when one becomes seasoned. That being said, the volume was loud. I didn't come to dinner for the lack of sound. Anyways, I eventually ordered. . I ordered the a Cesar salad, Prime rib medium, and warm bread pudding. . The Caesar was excellent. Lettuce was crispy and fresh. The dressing was perfectand not too heavy. . Oh this is the best part. I love prime rib. This was prime beef. The best type of cut and not choice cut. Eww. Any ways, it came out the right temperature. I like my steak medium with a hot pink center. It was soooo good. The steak had two accompanied sauces, au jus and creamy horse radish. Au jus was perfect. The horse radish was tame, but very creamy. Yum. . After the entree I ordered the warm bread pudding. English creme, caramel, and fresh whipped cream. The bread pudding was just perfect. It has the right amount of spices and was just the right consistency. Mmmm! . The only reason, brick tops didn't get five stars is because of the following: . The bar tenders never introduced themselves. They were nice, but I want to know who is handling my food. . The salad plate was room temp. Salad plates should cold. . The entree platter was room temp. Entree plates should be warm to the touch, which help keeps the food warm. If your like me, I like warm food. . Overall, the ambiance, staff, and food made this a very good experience. Usually love this place, however, was just in the restaurant and when asked for a large bottle of water for the table was brought with a small bottle and just one glass, had to send an insufficient drink back, had a very unhelpful and unhappy waiter- and all in these 20 minutes was not asked for our actual food order. Our waiter had my table and three other tables in a sort of square shape in the restaurant where he looked after the other table and seemed to be walking around/avoiding ours. After leaving the restaurant we went to another restaurant just next door where we sat outside... where we were then watched on by at least 4 waiters/hostesses. They were pointing at us at the new restaurant and staring for around 5-10 minutes and then proceeded to send what could be a manager to our new restaurant, who then talked to the hostess there. I was already bothered by the terrible service in the restaurant , but being watched by the people employed afterwards tipped me over the edge. Thank you :) read more
