Overall, everything tasted great (esp the fried chicken and home fries) and the portions were massive to just right. If there were a few kinks to iron out, I'd say that the beignets weren't really airy and some of the mushroom stems in the omelette were really tough and should've been discarded before cooking. Next for dinner: their fried chicken dinner which came with Mac and cheese, collard greens/broccolini, cornbread, and the tempura hake, and a side of cornbread with pecan butter. That pecan butter was delicious, we definitely asked for more. The fried chicken dinner was also amazing, every single dish in it. The hake while crispy, didn't have enough salt. The server fixed it immediately with a side of garlic aioli and that was great. If I could make a suggestion, I would say they should swap out the celery root slaw for something that goes better with the fish. Service was excellent both times. Very friendly and accommodating, always asking if we enjoyed our meal and they were quick to make things right if we had requests. Ambiance is really nice, very warm, inviting, perfect for a sit down meal. Apart from a few kinks in their dishes (which I'm sure they can resolve), I'd give them 5 stars.

Sat at the bar to start waiting for friends and try a couple of their signature cocktails. I'm a huge fan of bourbon followed by tequila. There was a drink on the menu called, "Orange you Glad" that blended both. Too tempting not to give it a shot so I did. There's one shot of bourbon and a half a shot of tequila along with a quarter shot of banana liquor, banana liquor, green mango and lime.... spectacular. Four roses bourbon is the foundation making it an excellent start. There's not a huge choice of appetizers or entrées, but what they do offer is a nice variety with something you should easily find to your liking. We had two appetizers, the pickled veggies and the mussels. The pickled veggies were good, but the muscles were outstanding. Plenty of muscles to share. The sauce they were a part of was out of this world tasting. Of all the choices on the menu I actually went with the half chicken because it sounded so good. Many can make an argument that you can't screw up chicken, but few can make an argument when the chicken is outstanding. This was absolutely outstanding. Even the sides were amazingly good. If you're looking for a new restaurant and tired of the same old, same old, this one is worth your effort.

When we were done, we walked past the restaurant and of course it was open then. Needless to say, this experience was super disappointing. Communication about updated hours or picking up the phone isn't too much to ask for. One bad experience isn't a dealbreaker but two will be. I hope management fixes this quickly.

I cannot fathom why anyone would subject themselves to the blatantly rude treatment by the astonishingly unpleasant and outright mean hostess. For a giant bowl of fattening pasta? Really? Not a chance in the world I would ever return. In fact, I cannot explain why I did not walk out before eating other than the fact that it was a Friday night. The hostess was so obscenely abrupt, even after making me "wait to be seated", when our table was there, ready and there was no one else waiting- just to leave us staring at her while she did nothing. But then, adding further inappropriate insult -to be told we had to get out within 90 minutes. Who tf does she think she is and WHERE does she think that she works. The restaurant is so rediculously not special, common and insignificant- that only people interested in huge portions of cheap pasta would put up with such treatment, Read other reviews!! Their menu is here is simply fantastic and the service is great. My boyfriend and I went after seeing them on Phantom Gourmet and checked it on a Friday night. We didn't realize it was a reservations kind of place, but it is quite small, so if you'd like to get a table, call and reserve one for the weekend. Their meatballs, which are roughly the size of softballs, are to die for and worth going for all by themselves. The first night we went I had a special which was the Italian combo - raviolis, chicken parm, a meatball, and linguine with pomodoro sauce. Everything was great - wasn't the biggest fan of the chicken parm, but my boyfriend loved it. The 2 times we've gone back, I've gotten the raviolis and meatballs each time. Their bread and seasoned oil are also amazing, as well as their desserts (I can vouch for the creme brulee and the brownie sundae). It's a really great place for a first (or 50th!) date. read more

This is my first review on this site, and I ate here earlier this week so I figured I'd chime in on it. I really like this restaurant, small place in dedham not too far from the city. I have eaten here a few times, and it has been good each time...Most recently I got the Chicken Parmesan and I was very pleased. I also have had the shrimp and pasta dish (I can't remember what it was called) but that was quite tasty as well. The service here is good too, very friendly and accommodating...a real nice bunch, the owner (or maybe he was the manager, not sure) came by to check on us during the meal) Definitely check it out if you are looking for some good Italian. read more

I have been a loyal client for over 10 years at the Brickhouse and have always loved the food and service. Of late , Richie Merino , a manager at the Brickhouse has been more than rude about the " UNDERSTOOD " precautions regarding masks in the dining room and takes to yelling at loyal clients about their masks when they step foot off their table. Merino has poor business skills and customer relation skills and of course , supported but the waitstaff , only has a job there because his last name is Merino , relative of the owner. Great breakfast! Lots of really good quality food, and very affordable. And, there was no line out the door. We were headed to one of our normal breakfast spots, but they all had lines out the door. Brickhouse has plenty of parking, no line, and plenty of seating. And you get a ton of food for a good price. Dinner is good too, but we were really impressed by breakfast. Try the eggs Blackstone, an Italian spin on Eggs Benedict. We will be back for breakfast, but I will go for a run and work up a bigger appetite beforehand next time. read more

Proballly my favorite hidden gem. What a great evening out. Start with a perfect home cooked meal and then go across the street to the mini golf course. The food is always amazing and the staff is always engaging. I love sitting at the bar because of the one on one attention. This is by far one of the most pleasurable dining experiences in the area. The staff are truly wonderful and very interested in making your dining experience the absolute best it can be. They didn't want us to eat here. We waited in line and when it was our turn to be seated, when it was our turn they asked how many, we said "2". We said there was A table for 4 open next to the bar. They said we could not have that unless we were 3 or more people. They said we would have to wait 30 minutes for a Table for 2 to open up so We left and will not be back. read more

They would but they be scheduled to work in the dish room until they took Customer service as it should be. With out customers we don't open. I think the young lady I spoke to needs to spend time in the dish room she doesn't know anything a bout customer service. she changed her attuited as soon as I side was un happy her attuited changed.

We ordered the mezza plate, out of the three dips, I really liked whipped feta, my husband enjoyed the eggplant, ( I'm not a fan of eggplant) glad we didn't order just the Avacado hummus, really lacked flavor. We got some crushed red pepper to add to it for a little zip. I had to tell our bartender that I thought the mini naan's were stale, but he explained the kitchen decided to heat them- which made them harder to chew. ( we have had them before and totally enjoyed the soft texture) I'm hoping he will give the kitchen the feedback! My husband and I both ordered the pork sandwich, he had as it was on the menu- I almost never do I had it without cheese and broccoli rabe- after we got our sandwiches the bartender had asked the kitchen to give me some au jus( I didn't ask)- it wasn't dry but it really made it delightful. How thoughtful of him! They have an upstairs, that was having a private event, downstairs was very nice with a long center hightop, looks fun for friends to gather! We will go back for sure!

It's BYOB, but there's no note about this on their site or menu, nor the $10 corkage fee. Would be helpful to show -somewhere- so people know. Our server was informative about the specials, but needed to be flagged a few times. The food came out piping hot and in big portions. Shrimp scampi was okay and butternut gnocchi was way more heavy cream forward than it led on in the description, we couldn't finish it. Place isn't quite my cup of tea, so won't be going out of my way to return.
