A great spot in Decatur to enjoy your next meal! I recently visited Brick Store Pub on a beautifully sunny afternoon and decided to take a seat at one of their outdoor tables. Serving up various pub favorites, it seemed like the perfect place to enjoy lunch al fresco and I was proven right. My waitress was so sweet and attentive. I love to sit outside at restaurants when the weather permits, and even as a former waitress, I always fear that they'll forget I'm out there although they rarely do lol. I feel as though every few minutes she was outside checking on me, and not in an overbearing way at all. I opted for the grilled chicken sandwich with fries and a local sour ale. My ale was absolutely delicious and so refreshing on that warm afternoon. The fries were fresh and obviously homemade with love back in that kitchen. And the sandwich! Well-portioned and so good, I'm seriously dreaming of it as I type this lol. I can't wait to go back and enjoy lunch outside again once the weather cools down! read more

When I'm in ATL, I try to make it here. It can even be a Bourdain style "The Layover" kind of run as it's a pretty easy MARTA trip to and from the airport. Always a good tap list that's properly poured. All the food I've tried has been solid, but it's hard to beat a pint and their Brunswick stew. read more

I was able to visit this establishment twice in the span of 2-3 weeks! A new favorite for sure! During my first visit - Misty was amazing! She confirmed the smoked wings were a top contender so I went for it! 5 stars!! I paired it with an IPA I asked her to choose on my behalf. I forget the option - but it was perfect pairing!! First visit to BSP and it certainly will not be our last! The restaurant has a very comfortable atmosphere with a European flair. All of the staff were super friendly and attentive. Adam and Sam did a great job taking care of us. This place is known for its beer offerings and has a wide variety, enough to please any palate. However, they may be best known for their cask ale offerings. Because of their special and intentional relationship with Belgian brewers, BSP is able to present a selection of cask ales unlike any other establishment in the US - and it's all right here in Decatur! For lunch I had their fish and chips, very good. My wife enjoyed her shrimp Poboy as well. But the crème de la crème was a perfect draw of a St Bernardus ABT 12, also served at the correct temperature. What an outstanding beer! Great time with great service. Interesting that we were waited on and served by at least 7 or 8 different people during our time, but it was nice to have the attention and it ensured we were never waiting for refills or such. Lots of drink options and varieties of beers. We split the fried pierogis as a starter. Delicious with caramelized onions and spiced pecans. Four of them were tough to split three ways but we figured it out. For main, I chose the burger. On a toasted sesame seed bun, I upgraded to the pimento cheese and while it was nice, I think the usual American cheese would be been just fine. I also subbed Brunswick stew for the fries and it was quite tasty. Odd to have stew with a burger but I enjoyed that quite a lot. The burger was tasty, moist, delicious. Really enjoyed the meal. Visiting the Atlanta area and Decatur. Came here to BSP on my birthday week -- accompanied by sister who recommended it. Service was prompt, and got seating for two indoors rather quickly. The server lady was rather kind and accepting for the most part. Allowed us to sample and taste-test a few of the alcoholic drinks. Ultimately, for drinks our table had the: - Creature Comforts, tastes like flowers (6 oz) - Cigar City Maduro (half-pint) Both drinks were good. I sampled a few, wasn't excited by anything, and after apps I sampled the Maduro, and decided I liked it, so I ordered a half-pint off the menu. The drink is shaped like a cigar, hence the name. It had a deep, rich, and manly taste to it, that I decided agreed w/ me after all. I would get it again. For apps, we had the Pork Belly. It came w/ bread, and was pretty spot on. A bit on the fatty side, but that's as expected for the dish. I had the Classic Grilled Chicken sandwich after much debating. Wanted to try beef, but I'd had steak the day before, so wanted to limit my intake of red meat. The chicken sandwich was acceptable, and rather spot on. Went well with my drink, I will say. All in all, the ambiance was quaint and old school, and gave off authentic pub vibes. I decided that I liked it. Overall, I would recommend stopping by this place if you are ever visiting the Decatur area of Georgia. It is a pretty decent pub, good food and lots of menu choices, have a rating system built into their online menus, and drinks have sufficient variety and taste -- it helps that they allow you to sample as many drinks as you like. This place is awesome. I didn't eat here, but I drank some beers. This place doesn't have a ton of taps, but the beers they have available seem to be curated, not just purchased. They had some cask beers which is always a treat. The service was team of servers who did a pretty good job. I was hoping to get some Cantillion to go, but they don't sell bottles to go. The vibe of the place is historical building with some historical things around like the radio turned host stand, but it's full on beer knurd. I'll be back if I'm in the area. read more

If you're a beer person, Brick Store Pub is likely your kinda place. It's my kinda place, too ... and I abhor beer! Perfect for lunch, the pub is housed in a building clearly saturated in history (though I have no idea what that history is.) In other words, the place is OLD, and it's retained its charm. With an emphasis on upscale bar food, every dish hit its mark: ^^^ My friend's turkey sandwich looked ordinary, but without me prompting him he said it was delicious, with a melding of flavors and perfectly melted gouda. ^^^T -- who's big on pork sandwiches -- said this is amongst the best he's had. He doesn't know what's in it, but I do! Pulled Spanish pork, Manchego, broccoli rabe and red peppers. ^^^ Served on a crisp hoagie roll, my grilled shrimp po' boy was redolent of roasted garlic and pepper aioli. Plenty of shrimp, as you can see in the photo. Decatur Square is one of my favorite neighborhoods, with Brick Store Pub adding to the character of the area. I can't believe I haven't left a review for Brick store, lol jk I have. I've only been coming here for 10+ years! This is the only place you will want to watch the game once you've gone- the upstairs viewing area makes you feel like you walked through a portal straight into an English pub. Cask pours available right in front of you and the selection is always fantastic. Staff is SO amazing, friendly and accommodating, making sure you have everything you need at all times! The service was great. The drink and beer selection was great. They even had beers from a local brewer in my hometown all the way in Connecticut! The pierogies were amazing. My only complaint was my main dish, the fish and chips. I may be a New England snob when it comes to this dish but the fish itself wasn't the right texture- wasn't crispy it was more doughy. Brick Store Pub is a Decatur Square classic and, in my opinion, has quite possibly the most beautifully decorated interior in the city. The terraced seating and the eclectic bar feel are done exceptionally well, and between the Belgian bar and the outdoor seating (front and back) there's plenty of options for your dining experience. Absolutely a good date spot. From a food perspective, one thing I loved about Brick Store is the simplicity of the menu. They don't offer an excessive amount of options, but you know that what you're getting is going to be consistent and well made. My brother and I got the classic burger and my boyfriend the perogies. Everything was delicious, albeit maybe a bit overpriced. As for the missing star, their service wasn't what it could be. There was a bit of a hiccup in the beginning with the host and seating but that panned out fine. It also took our server about five minutes to greet us, and another five minutes for the water to come out. The uniforms (or lack thereof) also struck me as odd. The owners of the restaurant put so much work into a beautiful interior, but the representative of said interior (the front of house staff) were sporting the likes of Columbus State t-shirts, flannels, and hoodies. Super cute pub! Lunch with mom & hubby today. Met at her condo & walked over. Love Decatur!! Can't speak of parking, and tried to take more pics- out of storage, lol! We had a little booth by the door, quaint! Were provided a carafe of water, and they gave menus. You can do QR code if you want, I prefer a menu. Nice drink menu, but small menu choices. I happened to look over at someone getting a burger & noticed it seemed small. If you are looking for a big, sloppy burger this may not be the place for you- but I also don't know exactly what he ordered- just an observation. I got an open faced chicken sandwich with a side salad. Sandwich was on great toasted bread, had grapes & havarti melted ontop. Salad had butter lettuce (I think- so melty) tiny croutons, topped with cucumber, grape tomatoes & cheddar cheese with green goddess dressing- really great!! One of the old school beer bars renowned across the country. What a nice stop. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. I ordered a lager on cask, and when the pour did not come out properly, they poured it out and ensured that they got me a proper pour. Brick Store gets a lot of access to great breweries basically across the world. It's a beer nerds dream. Definitely worth a visit whenever you're in town. read more

They have plenty of drink options but are mostly known for their amazing beer options. I love Brick Store because they offer a few cask beer options! Turkey stew (seasonal) was super tasty with loads of flavor and mushrooms but left me hunting for the Turkey meat. Service was great. Very friendly staff and attentive. Really great low-key spot for dinner and drinks! The restaurant has an amazing eclectic english pub vibe with a brick interior, dark ambiance, and old english decor hung along the walls. They have a wide selection of interesting beers, ciders, sours, and cocktails for a reasonable price! To start, we got an order of the crostini and herb dip. The dip was insane! I stumbled upon this establishment while exploring downtown Decatur. I was lucky to find a parking spot just steps from their door, and after a few hours browsing the square's many fun shops, it was time to eat. With thunder rumbling and gray clouds looming, I picked this restaurant in part on its proximity to my car, in case the storm was long and fierce. When I asked for a table for one, and explained I did not want to sit at the bar, the two hosts exchanged glances and declared they could seat me at a high top upstairs in the small area. Okie dokey. After 15 minutes being seated, a server appeared and explained he assumed I was waiting for someone. Nope, enjoying a day to myself. He took my wine order and seemed slightly displeased that I was not ready to order my food. Fifteen minutes later, upon my inquiry, my wine appeared. I asked if I could put in an order for chicken pot pie, but wait about 30 minutes bring it out, to give me the opportunity to enjoy my newly delivered wine. No. Not possible. Okayyyy. Since I wanted a little cocktail time, I waited to order because I wanted my wine first, not with dinner. The irony of feeling rushed to order, yet it had just taken 30 minutes to get wine ordered and delivered, did not escape me. Anyhoo, about 15 minutes later, I ordered the chicken pot pie and it arrived in a satisfactory time, just as I finished my glass of wine. I give it a 9/10. The structure was perfect. It was a tad heavy on salt and another spice...thyme? Sage? One of those. The crust was magnificent. A solid chicken pot pie is hard to find in Atlanta and this place helps fill the void. Brick Store Pub is a fun place with great vibes. Depending on time of day it can be very loud, so if you're looking for a quieter place this may not be your scene. You can expect a bit of a wait on the weekend, but you can give them your number and walk around Downtown Decatur. It's a fun place to explore. The staff was friendly. If you have a peanut allergy you're safe to eat here. The prices are reasonable. I had the Turkey sandwich, which includes roasted Turkey, peppadews, gouda, arugula, Mayo, and rye. Honey mustard on the side. For my side I chose fries. It was a really enjoyable meal. All sandwich components worked quite nicely together. Quality rye. The Turkey was flavorful. The Gouda was so "goud"... (I'll show myself the door). Filling and fresh sandwich overall. Fantastic fries. They were seasoned very well. They give you enough to satisfy any fry craving.
