It was s little hard to find but glad we stuck with it. What a great atmosphere! We went on New Year's Eve and the staff was great. The menu isn't big but the selection is wide. My champion had the stuffed green peppers. Never find these on menus anymore. He loved them, never even touched his roll. I had blacken grouper with ginger glaze. I ate everything and use my roll to mop up the sauce. Best kept secret in Destin. We will definitely be coming back. Absolute best little spot in Destin. The atmosphere is so inviting. Live music was perfect and just made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. Definitely one of the most kid friendly restaurants we have ever been to while on vacation. The kids menu had a scavenger hunt for the kids to find different objects on the walls within the restaurant. If you're not won over by all these things, just try the food! My husband got blackened grouper, which we both agreed was the best fish either of us had tried anywhere in Destin. Mine and the kids' entrees were all to die for, as well. I was a little skeptical about this place but it totally exceeded my expectations! It has a very quirky decor and a small menu but don't let that fool you. What they do make, they make well!! Ok there are two reviews here. The first is from my 9yo son, as follows: Great place! They have samples, the service is awesome, and they have live music! My chicken was awesome! It had tender chicken, a big serving of mashed potatoes, about 15 sweet potato fries, and and a biscuit! I think every meal has the main dish and three extra sides. Worth trying for tourism or just a local meal. It's family and beach friendly and is very decorative, overall very good place! Now for my review: It was excellent. Had the chicken - huge portions and quite tasty. Would describe as tropical but not sweet - so "brightly" flavored? My daughter had the ground beef stuffed peppers and liked it. Service was exemplary. Very approachable staff and extremely attentive. Where do you get that in Destin? Plus $2 drafts for happy hour and we were out for $50 before tip for 3 of us. Cannot recommend this place enough based on this first (and only, so far) experience. Also live music Thursday to Saturday nights. read more

This was our 2nd visit to the area and made this place a MUST this time around. Service was great ~ Hannah is AMAZINGLY attentive! Our first visit was during off peak hours and had the ceviche (excellent), 2nd time was just drinks to wait for upstairs to open for "Latin Night" - music was awesome ~ DJ knows his music ~ he played the classics, romantic salsa, great merengue and good bachata ~ music one can truly dance to and enjoy just listening. We came back for dinner on our last night there ordered the ceviche again, hubby had the blackened fish and I had the eggplant. Oh! the mashed potatoes ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD ~ I just wish it wasn't our last night or I would have boxed them up....servings are plentiful and excellent. The bar staff is also great ~ bartender made it a point to prepare hubby's "mango/peach mojito" in excellence. Loved the place, the staff, the food, the owners ~ absolutely EVERYTHING. Food was great. They don't have a very large dinner menu but they do it well. Inside was very loud but if you want a quiet meal you should eat outside. I had grilled grouper with the cheese and bacon grits cake and the veggies were cubed zucchini, yellow squash, and onion. I really wanted to like Bric a Brac, the atmosphere is fun and the food was decent but the service was just, "blah." My fiance and I came here to get some yummy seafood on a Sunday. They were only serving brunch but that was OK because there were several fish dishes on the menu. Our server led us to our table with nary a "hello" and took our drink orders. And then we started waiting. I watched our server stare at the football game on TV while our beers sat on the bar. And then we waited for our food - Grouper fingers and fries for me and Mahi Mahi for the fiance - which was good but took entirely too long to come out of the kitchen. We had to flag our server down for refills, honey mustard, and our bill because he just couldn't tear himself away from the game (and I'm a huge football fan!) Just popped in here for lunch because it was near a snorkeling spot I'd looked up, and I was famished. Walking in, the place was crazy, outta control with its outlandish and eclectic mix of decor. Elephant heads, surfboards and slot machines filled the place with a bizarre coolness. I love spots like this, but I didn't expect the food to be as good as it was, cause it seemed they were going mainly for a bar, nightclub kinda deal. I expected bar food. The fried shrimp salad was great, with a citrusy cocktail sauce on the side that was incredible ( they should be using it in bloody Mary's ). Shrimp were cooked perfectly in a light, seasoned flour coating and I inhaled the whole thing in 3 minutes flat. Crab cakes were voted the best out there, and I don't doubt that it's true. Poor service during non-busy time, decent food. I was disappointed after having read so many Good reviews. My teenage daughters and I went in for a quick bite on Tuesday night (during spring break). I expected it to be busy, but it wasn't too busy at 7pm. A guy playing bass (which was the best part of our visit) had some cool tunes playing. We were seated right away, and it took a couples minutes for the server to greet us- sort of. He welcomed us and offered to get us drinks- water and a couple lemonades. We waited a little bit before he came by with our drinks, so we were ready to order when he arrived. We placed our orders (2 burgers and crab cake dinner) and sat there. The music was a little loud, but we enjoyed ourselves for a bit. I flagged our server down (he didn't give his name when greeting us) and got a refill of lemonade. He zipped by and dropped off our cutlery, but didn't ask how we were. After about 20 minutes, the burgers and crab dinner came out. He said he'd be "right back" with some catsup. Nope. For $23 I expected the crab cakes to be... more. Yes, tasty, but, more than just 2 3" circles- they are touted as "best in Destin"- eh. And the mashed potatoes were hard. Perhaps out on the plate an hour before the crab. My girls and I laughed at how my forked sort of bounced off the pile. And then I needed a water refill. When, after I was nearly done with my two crab cakes, he came by and said he'd be "right back" with my water. Nope. About 5 minutes later, he asked if we needed a take out box, which we accepted, and requested the check. Guess what he said: he'd be "right back". He was, at least, quick with the check. We waited a bit for him to return to cash out, but it never seemed busy enough for him to be that inattentive. Low marks for promising catsup and water and never delivering, not introducing himself, and just general bad service. He was nice, the food decent, live music great.
