First time visit to this attraction. I say attraction because it's more than a restaurant. They have live gators with a show, you can hold a gator, and there's a game room. And yes there's a huge gift shop. This place is also known for signatures on the walls and fixtures. I thought it was pretty neat. The vibe is very laid back. There's an extensive menu that should appeal to everyone. The bar is fully stocked and the libations were made very well. I ordered their shrimp and grits. The bowl was massive! So much so that I filled up and took half with me for another meal. Our server "Aussie" was top notch. Just enough attention without hovering. Definitely come here hungry and ready for an experience. Visited this fun little game center a FEW times on our trip! The kiddos LOVED this place. It's a tad small for me, but is def PACKED with games! They do make the space feel very well filled up with lots of options! Expensive, of course, but it's a gaming center... so ... could be worse but could be better. The prizes and toys available for tickets are GREAT! I actually really do love that they have great options with updated and trendy things, like Pokemon plushies, Legos, starwarz Legos, squishmellows and also things parents would enjoy like YETI products!! Disappointing Experience.... Unfortunately, our dinner here last night did not live up to the expectations we had after seeing this restaurant so well marketed online and across social media. Our server, Pete, was wonderful. He was attentive, friendly, and genuinely the bright spot of our experience, so I definitely want to give credit where it's deserved. Unfortunately, the restaurant itself left a lot to be desired. The table was sticky, the restaurant did not feel particularly clean, and it was extremely loud, making it difficult to actually enjoy a conversation or have the relaxing night out we were hoping for. What was most disappointing was the disconnect between how this place is presented online and what we actually experienced in person. The social media presence and online reviews set an expectation that the actual experience simply did not meet. Maybe this is a good local spot if you already know what to expect, but if you're visiting the area and looking for somewhere to spend one of your nights out, I personally wouldn't recommend choosing this restaurant. There are too many other places where I'd rather spend the evening. Again, Pete was great, and I truly hope the restaurant gives some attention to the cleanliness, atmosphere, and overall guest experience because there's clearly potential here. read more

Ok it has all the tourist hype and kitch. The gators are there the shop and their t shirts are cute. The food and service are mediocre at best. My husband got the shrimp tacos and they were not great, I got the southwest salad with the blackened redfish. The redfish was good the salad was subpar with plain iceberg lettuce with lots of spotting, our group also had a burger, and the seafood platter. It was all ok but nothing was great. Appetizers, and entrees were all brought out at the same time and part of the party still didn't have their drinks. Built in 20% gratuity and a 5% fud fee for larger parties but our party was split up at different tables but in the same room with separate checks so there were only 5 of us. Absolutely unbelievable!! I'm a 26 year local in Destin and work a lot so I don't get out much. But I had family in town and decided to take them here. First and foremost the service was incredible! We never had to ask for a drink, or condiments. Our server asked US if we would like more of anything. We ordered crab dip and crab balls to start for the table. There were 4 adults. We ordered the Ribeye, the redfish, the chargrilled shrimp, and I got the Pimento burger. Everything was cooked perfectly and came out quickly. FUDs is considered a family restaurant and the decor supports that. It's colorful and fun, but the food is beyond just a family rating. It's worth a visit, but not repeatable. The alligator photo was a fun souvenir option. The food however was just okay. They have a limited gluten free menu. They did over cook my gluten free bun, and food was seasoned okay. Service however was great. We liked our server, Tanesha, and the guy who took our photo. The food tonight was great! The service by our server Pete was amazing. The ambiance is always fun, wacky and zany! What to expect? It will be loud, people come in large parties, they play music, and show music videos. There are places to write your name anywhere around the restaurant its part of the gimmick! Our son also attempted the food challenge -- the burger topped with chili and onion rings, along with three patties and fries, all in under 30 minutes -- but he couldn't quite finish it. My husband ordered the shrimp tacos, and I had the chicken tacos. I was hoping the chicken would be grilled, so overall I would say the food was just OK. There is a restaurant and a gator experience. I'm only rating the gator experience. $5 to feed the gators. $20 ish for a photo with the gator. The man who sells the food for gator feeding and photos is also the speaker for the gator show. It seems like a one man operation. He is lovely and helpful and has lots of gator facts. I was a little apprehensive because of other reviews but we had a five star experience. It was great. We brought our family here for my 9 year old's birthday dinner and we had the best time. We shopped in the gift shop, fed the gators, got a picture with a gator, ate dinner, sang karaoke. Every single staff member was nice and our server Cole was fantastic. He was so nice with the kids and got everything perfectly right, he even suggested my dinner when I asked and I loved it! They brought me hard butter and sour cream out in a cup. $50 freaking dollars for subpar food that I assembled myself? The shrimp were normal coconut shrimp mind you, not jumbo, etc. Seriously I would have been the first to recommend this place anytime before. Just like I did my family tonight. Who (bless their hearts) spent almost $200 for 4 orders of nachos, a poboy and an appetizer. So I'm not only not recommending it, I'm telling you and your family to run as fast as you can!! Such a great place to go to see baby alligators. There were so many baby gators. There were also some gators feeding show, which we missed since it is only at a set time. This place also has a kids play area which was nice. We also heard someone singing near the bar area. This place is a great place to go to when visiting Destin. The staff were super nice.
