Wanted to get a drink here at 7:10pm.. bouncer asked for my sisters ID and took once glance at it and said it's fake and "broken" he started bending it and it snapped. 45 minute wait on a $35+ penalty shot. Thats without tip. We waited and waited, reminded the bar tenders. They couldn't even remember our purchase or name without our reminders. We ended up leaving, and on our way out we asked for a refund. They told us they couldn't refund the money, nor the huge tip we'd left. We went here on a Sunday during Memorial Day weekend and had a great time. All of the bartenders were so fun and attentive. Whenever we finished our drinks, we quickly got a fresh one. And if you sing along with them on a song, they would give you a shot, which was really cool. This was our first time at a Coyote Ugly bar, so we didn't know what to expect. One of the things that jumped out at me was that it was packed with women. Lots of bridal parties, birthdays and girls nights out. I would definitely recommend people check this out when they visit Destin. It's going to be our go to spot whenever we are down here. read more

I was expecting more like from the movie lol maybe because I came on a Thursday and it wasn't a busy day. Dj was playing good music though and the place was pretty big. I feel like the drinks were reasonably priced. Fun environment for us to go while we were out of town. Coyote Ugly has a reputation for being a fun bar but it was not the best experience. The cover was $10/person. They had two sections, one inside (where you get up on the bar) and another outside (where there was a platform for people to get up on). The inside was not as popular as the outside. Did not meet standard expectations. We tried getting on top of the bar but no one would let us. Kind of a weird situation. The outside was hot! No fans what so ever. Despite the bad reviews I've read from here my friend and I decided to check this place out our first night in Destin. I'm basing my review off personal experience. My friend and I came here before visiting McGuires across the Street. The place was slow and the doorman (wish I caught his name) told us to come back around 9-10 pm when it starts hopping. He was very kind to us and recommended places to visit including McGuires. He did ask for our ID and gave us a stamp to come in later with no cover charge. So we return later that night and he was right, the place was hopping. Very entertaining to watch not just the women behind the bar to get up on the bar and dance but, other women in the establishment. Any women who dance on the bar gets a free shot. My friend and I had a few shots of the Blue MF ( I won't say profanity on Yelp) it was very delicious. They even have souvenir hurricane glasses and a fish bowl that you can put any cocktail from the drink menu pictured. We actually returned the next night and got the fish bowls. This was an awesome experience wished we could've seen John Goodman dancing on the bar lol, just like in the movie. The doorman was very kind to us despite many others complaining about the doorman. Someone else must have been working because the one we encountered gave us no problems, if I knew his name I'd give him a shout out and a thank you for the great customer service provided, will definitely be back next visit to Destin and hopefully he is working. read more

The only thing that sucks is there no variety of music until after 9:30p. We got there around 7:30p and all the music was pretty much the same. The staff is awesome and fun. They do a great job keeping everyone entertained. Definitely recommend going later in the day. read more

My wife and our friends really didn't plan on coming here. We just sort of decided to stop in at the last minute. Anyway, it was really cool! The vibe was really energetic and the crowd was cool. It was A LOT like the movie with the girls dancing and letting loose on the bar. The staff was very friendly, from the security to the bartenders. They made you feel welcome and they were very down to earth. The bras that were hanging all over the place gave it really unique, raunchy feel. If you're looking for a good time, you should definitely give it a try. We went on a Saturday and they closed at around 4-5 a.m The next time we are partying in the city we will definitely make it a point to stop by again. read more

So this was a last minute choice because we were looking for something fun to do at night on a Sunday before our vacation ended. We were one of 6 people in there; granted it was only 7:30. The music is good and good entertainment, my only advice is do not pay with card. I kept all my receipts and they added tip to themselves on my transactions, however I tipped them in cash and wrote cash on receipts. Wouldn't trust the bartenders in the outside bar. read more

Came here in June and thought it'd be fun considering the fact that everyone that we talked to said it was a fun joint. The bouncer charged me $30 to get in but the guys that came in a few minutes after my group he didn't charge them and they were under 21 as well. Don't come here if you are trying to use your card. If you hold your tab open, the bartenders hand your card back and when you try and ask for a receipt to close they give you attitude. They tip themselves whatever they want since you are a tourist hoping you wont notice. I want to know how they think they can charge 150-178 bucks for two whiskey drinks?!! I have three charges and none match what i ordered. I never received a receipt for any drink purchase either and of course they aren't open to take calls. read more

For weeks people have mentioned how much fun they had here after their grand opening. Unable to resist, I pulled together a cowgirl outfit that turned out to be more Indian than cowgirl and stomped it out on the bar. It was a lot of fun and the girls were HOT, most of them anyway. And they were sassy. Definitely some hot girls with nice bodies and sexy moves working in that bar. There was this one girl who had dark hair and a raspy voice who could dance her ass off to anything. Impressive. Ladies if you dance on the bar, free shot. It's a strange fruity sort of shot. Two mechanical bulls outside and another bar. And more bar upstairs. It got really hot downstairs so I hung out under an AC vent upstairs. Songs were all very dance-able. The only thing missing, and it is significant, were tolerable guys. Most of the guys there were just creepily staring at the dancing bar girls or annoyed at having to pay and get their drinks through the dancing bar girls. Hardly any of them was half decent looking. This isn't exactly my type of bar. But options were limited for a Sunday night during Memorial Day weekend until we realized Coyote Ugly was open, contrary to Yelp's supposed hours. We drove past it, keeping our fingers crossed that it would be open, and it was. There was a $5 cover charge and we got stamped by an obnoxiously large stamp, which basically washes off with water. The bar at the entrance is basically taken over by the go go girl strutting back and forth on the bar in her skimpy denim shorts, yelling into her mic while all the men in the bar stood in awe, drooling. The rest of us headed out back, where there was a mechanical bull ($5 a go!) and a open dance floor in front of the DJ on stage. It seemed like everyone dancing was having a good time. Overall, I'd say stick to the outdoor area for a good time, unless you want to stay inside and gawk at the girls standing on the bar the entire time. read more

Absolutely horrendous, zero stars. There is no reason this place should be allowed to operate until 4 am. We are staying in the hotel across the parking lot and cannot sleep because the garbage music and yelling is keeping us up. The city of Destin should consider shutting this establishment down or setting some stricter limits on noise ordinances. This bar has awful customer service. The management is very skewed as far as service goes. The bartender up charged my tab by 20 dollars trying to receive an extra tip which I obliged to because I was under the impression it was the right charges. After further investigation the bartender ran up my tab for a bigger tip. To top this off all bar tenders slandered and harassed me and my 8 friends after one requested a karaoake song. The reply was a middle finger and a more than stern request to "get the fuck off the bar." I requested management who treated me we if I was an inconvenience. I tried getting my receipts and the lead manager gave me reluctance and severe tension when asking about a printed receipt of every charge. Me and my friends came here for a good time. We came here to buy drinks and spend money. All we received was verbal abuse and conflict. This is literally the worst experience I have ever had in a bar within the United States. read more

I downloaded this app in order to give this place a scathing review. I have seen the movie and get the concept #girlpower but when I'm making a fool of myself doing the sprinkler on stage and the multitude of security tells me to get off stage that's is crossing the line. Not a good experience especially for my girlfriend who had her ass slapped by both customers and bouncers alike. Only wanted girls on stage so that they had the women to themselves. Absolutely disgusting treatment of men and women alike. I try to continue to have a good time and find a hair in my drink. Will not return even if paid to do so. read more
