Causal bar/restaurant located within the Sheraton Harbor Island Resort. They were showing the USA soccer World Cup. The drinks were good and the service at or above my expectation of the Sheraton brand. Food was on-par for bar food as we had a decent pizza for supper, but a less-than Cuban, Cuban Sandwich for our arrival lunch. The sandwich had plenty of decent tasting ham and roast pork, but was devoid of pickle and mustard flavor. The sandwich did come with very good 'special fries' (Parmesan) fries and a very good Cuban Mojo sauce to dunk the sandwich in. Brewery X was my next stop after the speed boat adventure since it was walking distance, I decided to grab a drink here and paid a visit. This location is inside the Sheraton Hotel at Harbor Island, SD. My experience went well overall. Upon walking in, you notice how colorful their decoration is and very attractive to the eyes. I have tried their beers in the past; usually when I shop at trader joe's. So, I was familiar with this brewery once I noticed how close it was to me. Staff were attentive and polite to my needs. I was seated by their TV displays and noticed lots of sports going on. They had baseball games and soccer at the same time. I ordered a flight of beer: four types to be exact. I chose two west coast IPA's "slap and tickle" and "slap and tumble" a Hazy IPA "Dictionary Roulette" and a hard seltzer "watermelon lime" All beers and seltzer tasted amazing and refreshing after being out in the sun prior. My favorite out of the batch were the west coast IPA's the tickle and tumble. Once again, if you are indecisive about what beer to pick, get a flight and try a few. 5/5 For my food, I went with their fish sandwich. The presentation was nice; it reminded me of an upgraded Filet-O-fish, respectfully. This one tasted amazing, it was just the right size and was also served with French fries. Food did not take too long to come out either and I enjoyed every single bite. 5/5 In conclusion, this is a nice brewery to visit when visiting harbor island in SD. read more

This brewery is located inside The Sheraton resort. We came here for dinner and got a beer and mocktail to start with. The beer was called Dictionary Roulette and it was a hazy IPA. For apps, we shared the bone marrow and wings. Both were very tasty! Then we got the burger X with fries and the chicken and waffle. The burgers was very flavorful and fries were crispy. The waffle was crispy and chicken was tender! The view was nice and we got to see the sunset while waiting for dessert. We chose the cheesecake, which came with berries and some lemon curd. Stopping by for lunch! I'm familiar with the larger location in the OC so it was nice to see this place along the harbor. Bartender Chris was very attentive and the noise wasn't too loud compared to most brewery restaurants. I ordered the Taquito nachos, pretty decent. Brewery X is another restaurant located inside the Sheraton resort near the San Diego airport. We stayed here for one night before an afternoon flight the next day, and this is one of the few Marriott-brand properties in the area that offers an airport shuttle, which was very convenient. We arrived after 5pm after driving in from Palm Springs. I dropped my wife and mom off at the hotel, returned the rental car at the airport, and took the shuttle back. By the time we got settled, we weren't very hungry, so we decided to stop into Brewery X for something light. My mom had the cheeseburger, my wife ordered a salad, and I had the quesadilla. Everything was good, and the service was solid as well. It was nice being right by the marina with views of the water. We would have liked to sit outside, but it was a bit too chilly for my mom. Brewery X offers a far more casual alternative to their neighboring restaurant. However, for much lower quality in menu options, poor service and just as inflated pricing, Brewery X was not the spot for me. They get 3 stars for being an average sports bar with average bar food. Wide range of options, no particular theme to it all and nothing that really stood out as a must-repeat. I wish I could at least say you'll get quicker service here than the more formal restaurant next door but the restaurant could be empty, you could order one dish and still wait at least 15min only to be seated and actually place your order, let alone start eating. It felt like at various points throughout the visit, you couldn't find a single server/employee walking around to check on everyone seated outside. The only perk is their option for outdoor seating with the beautiful view of the marina. As for the food: 1/5 - We got the Kitchen Sink salad, which was no more than your average salad but for $16, I'll hard pass. 5/5 - The Burger X was great - juicy, flavorful and consistent. The sea salt fries where those fries that you just don't leave behind on the table...but $23 for a burger is still ridiculous. 3/5 - #Wing-ing order gets you 4 average chicken wings, could have done without 1/5 - The Bone Thugs was an absolute waste of money. We stayed at this hotel for a few days for our wedding and frequented this spot. I love the variety of food options they had and the servers and bartenders here were great. We shared pizzas one day with our family to make it easy. They do have a full bar and plenty of TVs to watch whatever sport may be on tv that day. They got irritated with us for wanting to seat ourselves at the bar since we waited 10 minutes and no one came to the matradee stand at lunch. Hubby and I loveee the Brewery X in Aneheim, so when we found out that Brewery X Harbor Island opened up, we had to check it out. We stopped by for a quick bite and beer before picking someone up at the airport. The location is super convenient, right across from the airport-- and there's plenty of parking (2 hours free with validation, just show your receipt to the valet). We arrived later in the evening, so didn't catch much of the view, but the bayside setting is definitely a plus. There was no host at the stand, so we just grabbed seats at the bar. Our bartender, Chris (I think?), was friendly and attentive, and the place was clean with a chill vibe. The beer was solid, but the food wasn't that great. We ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and unfortunately, the chicken was really dry and rubbery-- and NO spice. Disappointing on that end. The chorizo dirty fries were pretty good. Would definitely come back for the beer and chill atmosphere, but we'd probably skip the food next time. read more

We stayed at the resort and tried out the brewery because they had a great vibe. I ordered the SOK beer, a Mexican lager and asked for salt and lime on the cup. It was delicious! Smooth and flavorful. We shared a carnita quesadilla and it was plenty for two people. The meat was tender and flavorful with the oxoaca cheese it was a delicious pairing. I wish I could give a full review, as I was excited to try X on our recent stay at the Sheraton. However, when we tried to visit, we (party of 2) were told that it was about a 30 minute wait. We were on a schedule so we couldn't wait that long just to be seated, and normally I wouldn't review in that situation, but we looked in, and there were plenty of tables available, especially on the patio. I looked at the hostess confused, as I commented on the open tables, but she offered no explanation. I can guess that maybe they were short staffed, I don't know. Avery was our server twice here. It was super busy for 4th of July holiday time, but he offered service with a smile and a positive attitude. The food was good. Our son's order was wrong the second time we ate there. He still liked what he got though it was not what he ordered. We didn't have time to wait for what he actually wanted because we needed to get to the firework show on the lawn in time. The chicken wings were pretty good. This is our 3rd year in a row staying at the Sheraton for the 4th. Last year we booked our reservations 2 months in advance for dinner, girl never wrote it down. When I called a month in advance to confirm they had zero record of it apologized and said they would put it down and we were all set. As a party of 11 people, I was extra careful and confirmed multiple times. Day of comes, they acted like I was insane. No clue what I was talking about. Girl in question who I spoke to wasn't available. They finally got us in, but it was a mess. Fast forward to 2026. We put our name in for a table, came back 30 min later to check in on it, girls says we didn't put our name in. My husband says no I very clearly said we'll be back in 45 min to check in. Arrived late to the hotel and ordered room service from Brewery X. I ordered one personal size pizza and a soda, and my bill was $55.50. It's truly comical what they get away with charging for room service. This total was also higher than what the app said when I placed the order. The app also showed a 20oz bottle of soda but they brought me a warm can with a cup of ice. The pizza wasn't horrible but definitely not worth the price for the size and quality. World's Okayest Food Let me start by saying the staff was genuinely friendly--I have no complaints there at all. We'll start with the drinks. I asked the waiter for a very light beer, and he recommended their Schhhweet beer. It was actually pretty good and exactly what I was looking for. My wife ordered the Blackberry Jalapeño drink. The initial flavor was nice, but the lingering jalapeño completely overpowered everything else. For food, I ordered the O.G. pizza (pepperoni) and added sausage. Unfortunately, it was pretty bland even with the extra topping. My wife had the Kitchen Sink salad, which she summed up perfectly as: "everything was soft." Even the croutons lacked any crunch, which was surprising. To top it off, the meal was fairly expensive. Drinks and food came out to $78.81, which just doesn't feel justified for such underwhelming food. The only real saving grace is its location--it's incredibly convenient if you're staying at the hotel. Otherwise, it's hard to recommend for anything beyond convenience. read more

So when we found out this was located in the hotel we were staying at, we knew we had to visit this new location. We were at the soft opening for the Anaheim one so now to try out this location. First off, they opened on June 30th so only have been open a few days. They are still trying to get into their groove but the manager, Aaron, had top notch service. He made great conversation and took care of us during our visit. Of course we had their drinks, the Duck beer and I had the Huckleberry (a well known favorite). The beers and seltzer were great as usual. They have a few different ones at this location so make sure to order those while here. They also have a full menu so we ordered The OG a pizza and added sausage to it which was yummy. It came hot out of the oven and tasted really good. I was already full after eating a full slice, but much are pretty big sizes. Overall, the service we received from Aaron was great so definitely worth our trip. We will be back tomorrow morning to possibly buy some merch and possibly to get a quick bite. read more

Staying at the Sheraton near downtown San Diego and decided to check out Brewery X, located inside the hotel. At first glance, it's an impressive spot, tons of TVs, a solid bar, plenty of tables inside, and a huge outdoor deck with 25-30 tables. The vibe seemed perfect, especially since we had our two dogs and were hoping to sit outside. But despite the deck being mostly empty (only about 3 tables were taken), we were told there would be a 15 to 25 minute wait. When we asked if it was due to a lack of servers, they said no -- they had enough staff, but we still had to be added to a list. Honestly, I don't understand the logic of having open tables and available staff, yet still making people wait. It felt like poor management or a flawed system. If you're expecting a quick seat based on the number of empty tables you see , think again. It's unfortunate, because the place looks great, but I wouldn't recommend it based on this experience. read more

Finally getting around to write a review for this horrible experience. The bone marrow dish was congealed and inedible and toast was hard as a rock. The bread pudding dry and flavorless. My son's pepperoni pizza tasted like a frozen pizza. We went back down to the restaurant and explained we just got out ordered and went up to our room and more than half of the items can't be consumed and showed the restaurant the food. The person was beyond rude and unhelpful and said they couldn't help and to wait for the manager. 15 minutes later the manager finally comes, it is not busy. They do not apologize for the inedible food or for us having to come all the way back down and waiting so long. We left the food untouched and requested a refund. Bad food and bad service. read more

Brewery X has some of my favorite beers and it's a short walk from the Spanish Landing East parking lot. Walked here after the 4th of July fireworks to wait out the post show traffic rush. They were open late, being seated at 11p. It's inside of the Sheraton Resort inside of a beautifully appointed lobby. The parking gate lot closest to Spanish park does appear to get locked at 11 causing a long walk around on the way back. They had all 3 of my favorite beers, Citra Love, Slap & Tickle and its older cousin Slap & Tumble. Chicken Sandwich was really dry and mushy. Better options around like the one at Bottle Rocket. Will try something else when coming back to enjoy Brewery X's excellent IPA's. read more

I don't give 2 star ratings often. My visit was disappointing. The menu looked good, and the concept of a brewery in Harbor Island is great. They just didn't deliver. New management could fulfill its potential. FOOD: high end gastro pub menu, but were delivered bland and missing preparations. Ordered BurgerX without cheese. It also came without the thousand Island dressing as listed in menu. I notified waiter and he said they must have left it off since it was ordered with no cheese. What??? The burger patties were good. I upgraded fries to dirty fries which come with Mexican cheese and chorizo. The cheese and chorizo had zero flavor...super bland. Additionally it was supposed to come with chipotle ketchup and they served with plain ketchup. I asked waiter and he said their flavors are bland so ketchup was probably correct. I asked for him to get me another side of Chipotle ketchup just in case. He returned and said they were all out. Huh? Don't they just add chipotle seasoning to ketchup. Then a manager came out and gave me two types of Chipotle ketchup. One was darker and had way too much seasoning (ick). The other was more balanced. INCORRECT MENU SPECIALS: There was a big sign in front entrance advertising Oktoberfest food and drink specials. I was excited about the pizza special. When attempting to order I was told the specials weren't available for two more days??? If so, why tease customers with the menu items early??? DRINKS: Margaritas in Southwest normally are top notch.
