Towels are bright white and smell clean. The shower leaves something to be desired but they did go through pains to accommodate tall folks; the shower head is about 6.5 feet up! There is an alarm clock, tv with remote, and proper key on a vintage diamond shaped key chain. There is no wifi. Friendly office manger reminds me of Stan Lee. I chose this place because it was slightly closer to downtown than the clump of motels further to the south. The motel 6 that is actually in downtown has off putting reviews and this was probably about the same price. While $63 for a place to sleep on a weekday seemed steep at first, it turns out it's about the lowest going rate these days. In light of the reviews of other places, I'd say this is one of the better deals in town.

She had a friend who was with her next to the front desk with a glass of wine. That was weird. The friend didn't say hi which is why I'm assuming she was not a staff member. She looked up at us when we walked in and I had to tell her we were checking in. She walked us through the property amenities and then sent us on our way. We returned the next day to use the gym and asked to confirm my spa appointment. She confirmed the time but not whether the 90 min was confirmed (we had called previously to extend to 90 min). We went to use the gym and when we came back down she was socializing with a coworker. She only came back to the front desk once we walked up to it to ask for extra towels. We also let her know we never got an email for the spa form. She had resent it before we headed to the gym. Her response, "that's weird." The hotel can't even figure out their email system. The gym is very minimal. There is a treadmill that is broken (stuck on incline) and dirty yoga mats. No water. No towels. There is a shower. When I arrived at the spa no one was manning the front desk. My massage therapist popped in and checked me in, apologizing that there was no one at the front desk. It was only after I checked in that the front desk person showed up. My massage therapist was very good. She accommodated a 90 minute session when I mentioned I requested it but did not get it. She also went over which I appreciated. Her name is Angela. Very experienced and highly recommend. We intended to eat at their bar where we enjoyed their pizza last year. The bartender informed us that because there is a private party that the kitchen won't be open till 7pm. I replied, "that's too bad as we enjoyed the pizzas last year. The bartender said that pizzas were not available till May. I let him know last year in March there were pizzas available. He thought it was odd as he knew of it as a summer thing. This made me think they were cutting down on costs again as they don't need to fire up their pizza oven. Checked out with same front desk lady. She just looks at me. No proactive greeting. The service here is severely lacking unfortunately. It does not feel like a top notch resort. I will not be back next year and will look somewhere else for my annual weekend getaway.

Check in was a breeze and our cliffhouse (also standalone) was just a short walk from the main building. The room itself had character, but could have been maintained better. The bathroom was dark even with the lights on. Our room did come with water and a drink fridge. The bed was comfortable and the bst part was the outside deck and view that was had from there. We could see the pool and the river. I watched the sunrise from here and it was incredible. The wedding was in the event tent, which was warm and wind resistant because we had strong winds that night. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I spent some time in my friend's home on the property and they all are individually owned and have hot tubs. The whole lace is upscale, but not pretentious!

The best thing about CB is that it is only 2.5 hours from Seattle. On holiday weekends, you might compare it to holidays at Lake Lanier (Georgia) or Lake Havasu (Arizona). IF you have never gone to Crescent Bar, you really should. It is the most fun you can have outside of skiing or that close to Seattle. . I drove down from Seattle with a few friends on the Friday of Memorial weekend. Despite it being a big holiday at Crescent Bar with space of all either priced at a premium or unavailable, Debbie provided us with an amazing 2/2 condo at Sun Serra complete with her five-star service at a non- holiday price. As soon as we drove in from Seattle, Debbie came out to meet us and even managed to locate convenient parking for our boats and trucks on property without charging us extra. Her kindness and consideration kept coming throughout our stay as she checked in with us a few times to see if we needed anything! Our two bedroom condo was beautiful. The property offered five pools , four hot tubs, and all types of sporting courts. Our condo /townhome proved to be the perfect place to go and relax after a day in the sun and on the water. Overall, from the reviews, the suites looked like a good place for us to stay considering it had everything we needed to stay comfortably - also including an outstanding gym that is open 24/7 for guests to use. My group took advantage of the pool and jacuzzi available as well. The area is near vacation rental homes and, the best part, the columbia river. The view is down right amazing and one that I could look at for hours. The one down side of things is that you NEED to make sure you prepare correctly and bring in ALL your food before you head here. If not, you'll have to drive at least half an hour to the next nearby town to grab groceries or food. There is a wine bar and restaurant that is next door to all the rooms, but it isn't open all the time, so don't count on that being your only source of food. Overall, if you prepare yourself well with food for your stay, this is a great place to stay at when heading out to this area for a vacation.

The resort is situated right outside of a gated community, however, they both share a pool and hot tub, which we were able to enjoy during our stay. PROS: Justin, the office/property manager, was very nice/helpful and made sure we were enjoying our stay, the pool/hot tub area was open until 11pm, in room washer/dryer, small but tasty restaurant right next to the office, very short drive to the boat launch/marina, restaurant option and ice cream shop nearby, clean playground/tennis courts, walkable distance to the river. CONS: no kitchen/cooking basics like oil, salt, pepper, sugar, spices, etc., some dishes/utensils were not cleaned very well, broken igniter button on grill (we used a gas lighter found in the kitchen), kitchen supplies were not similar to other suites our friends were in, i.e. they had saran wrap/foil and we didn't, room rates can get pricey during peak/summer/concert season. TIPS: bring your own cooking necessities/food if you plan on eating in for some meals, esp cooking oil/butter, spices, etc. as no grocery stores are around, bring pool floaties/beach toys if you have kids, bring water (tap water tasted off to us), oh and a boat if you have one laying around.

I booked this venue for my wedding. It wasn't cheap. The manager, Kevin, was pleasant most of the time except when he made a mistake and decided to blame me for it. I had told him all along that we were booking the venue for a wedding and we needed the wedding package. So, the day before my wedding the on-site caretaker calls him because, apparently, he wasn't aware that we had purchased the wedding package and that more than 32 guests would be coming the next day. Clearly, this was an oversight on his part, but he insisted that he would need to be paid more than we had originally agreed on because he didn't remember that I had asked for the wedding package and didn't put that in the contract. To be fair, this miscommunication was partly due to the fact that I had to postpone the wedding for a year (which he allowed provided that someone else reserved it) and the price of the rental went up be in the meantime. Well, you should have said something buddy!

We were in a cabin with our friends; they took the full bed, my husband and I each got a bed and I think the couch was a fold out bed too. There is a curtain between the full bed and the two beds in the alcove. The sheets were soft, the towels clean, the mini fridge and microwave worked, so no problems. The bathroom is old and the fan sounds like a train, everybody woke up whenever anybody got up to pee at night due to the fan noise. Be careful with the teak mats; they are HUGE and easy to trip over. The bathroom drawers weren't on sliders and fell out any time they were pulled out too far. There isn't much light in the room. Big closet and nice hangers helped with all our wedding finery. Shoes off inside requested, which is how we live so that wasn't a problem. We were in the cowboy cabin. The art above the toilet is absolutely frightening. Cowboy and horse plunging to their deaths, hanging on by a mere thread (or cow) to life. Yuck. Gave me nightmares. We were awoken on Sunday to a dog barking INCESSANTLY starting at 530 am. We tried to go back to sleep. We bugged out at 630 am since we were all awake. The dog was still barking when we left. There is a main cabin with dishwasher, washer and dryer (the dryer doesn't work well and would randomly be hard to start or turn itself off), stoves, lots of plates, cups, etc. There are at least 6 jars of cinnamon but no hot sauce. You really don't need to bring anything but booze and food. There's an outside kitchen too and lots of pans, baking sheets, utensils. It's hard to find everything you need at first but eventually it's all gathered. The cookware wasn't really clean, we had to wash everything before using and we washed it after using but it remained slightly sticky, I think just from a lot of use. There's a TV in the outside kitchen. The main lodge has a TV upstairs for movies, game stations, a tiny gym, a little office. What the place doesn't have is wifi or cell service. Sure, they say there is wifi but it doesn't work. Its sooooo slow, the more people using it the slower it gets, and towards the end of the stay it was completely unusable. Just assume you wont have wifi or internet or cell phones there. It's a retreat from technology. We didn't use the pool or hot tub. Both looked fine. Kids used them and enjoyed them. Our stay was completely comfortable. If you are looking for a rustic wedding, where your guests and family can just hang out and cook, or a company retreat but don't need technology, it's a great place. It is hard to find. When you pass the Tenaway River sign GO SLOW, it will be on your right, around a bend. You'll miss it the first time, there's a turn around about half a mile further on your right.

The big problems are really bad. Ants, bees, fleas, ticks, mosquitoes are the worst. washers and dryers are broken or don't clean very well. The manager is never there. When asked questions is not very friendly and sometimes dismissive and short or just plain rude.
