OH MY GOODNESS! For a B & B that opened in winter of 2009, this place has NO mistakes. Beautiful views of the mountains and pear orchards, private balconies/decks in each room, gas fireplace and flatscreen TV in the room. Beds have down pillows and comforters, with an closet with robes and plenty of room for storage. The bathroom is amazing, depending on which room you are in, some have spa jacuzzi tubs and they all have HUGE walk-in showers. Everything is brand new and immaculate. There is a great room where you are served breakfast and is used as a relaxation area during the day. There are tons of books and magazines that you can curl up by the fire and read, and a good selection of DVDs to take back to the room with you. Also, there is a Guest Service Center that has coffee available 24 hours a day with fresh baked cookies constantly in circulation. And the breakfasts? O.M.G. The first day, we had homemade granola with yogurt and berries, then local sausage and baked pear french toast that was AMAZING. The second day, we had a southwestern quiche, local ham, and fresh fruit. Also, the local apple cider made in Cashmere is wonderful. While you're eating breakfast you're also looking at panoramic views of the mountains. Rick and Laurie Shorett, the innkeepers, are fantastic! They are always alert and accommodating for anything you might need or anything particular you are wanting to do or see while you are at their inn. They also have a "Forgot It" drawer for many toiletries that people forget, and they are complimentary. The prices are insanely reasonable for this kind of exceptional service. I will definitely come back, and return guests get 10% off. Rick and Laurie are amazing and so friendly.

The Cascade Valley Inn is a fantastic place to stay. My boyfriend and I stayed here for a romantic weekend and were blown away. Laurie and Rick were amazing hosts. The room was large and lovely. Each room has a private patio that has gorgeous views of landscape. Breakfast was delicious each morning. We will definitely be back.

When she brought out the dish, there were two large ones on it because they're normally larger (!) and she wanted us to have the equivalent. It was hot and delicious and between the three of us, we polished off 2/3 of it right away. I ordered the veggie pesto hash. Soooo yummy. I ordered mine without zucchini because it's just not a breakfast veggie to me lol. I did not notice or taste any pesto in the dish but the hollandaise was excellent on top. I tried their gravy to determine what bread I wanted (biscuit was an option) and it was so good. I'm such a gravy snob and this was quite flavorful with a creamy texture. I could barely finish my hash so I didn't touch the biscuit and gravy but our daughter will have it for leftovers this week. Randy ordered the pig and vine bene with hash browns. The bacon on his was crumbles instead of actual pieces of bacon so that was disappointing and he said the hash browns were cooked inconsistently with some of it being overcooked and all of it lacking flavor. Corina ordered the three meat hash and liked it a lot. She could only eat half - the portions are large - so more leftovers for her. This is a super cute place with indoor seating and what looked like a covered patio dining area. We will definitely be back.

What caught my eye were the shelves stocked with classic German candies and snacks including Hanuta and Haribo gummy bears, two nostalgic favorites I haven't seen since my last trip back to Germany. - Hanuta -- A German hazelnut-chocolate wafer sandwich by Ferrero. Crispy wheat wafers sandwich a creamy, nutty chocolate filling. Crunchy, rich, and just slightly bittersweet -- a total throwback treat. The store was bustling, especially toward the back near the ice cream case. Service was fast and friendly, and it felt like a timeless candy shop with a Bavarian twist. Pleasantly surprised and very much worth it. that thing woke me up as I worked a 12-hour night Shift earlier, drove for 3.5 hours to go to Leavenworth, and then ended up at this spot. the girls running the shop were sweet...like the ice cream! I love that this ice-cream shop has a mini toy store inside. Overpriced for the toys, yes, but it made for a unique look with this spot.
