Had the most incredible stay and will definitely be back. Stayed in the Almrosen room. From the fireplace to a whirlpool tub, everything was incredible. The entire place is meticulous and each room is uniquely crafted.

Abendblume is an amazing bed & breakfast! We recently stayed at Abendblume, the second week of January. An unprecedented amount of snow had fallen in Leavenworth the previous week, and Stevens Pass was STILL closed (a week?). Abendblume is beautiful! The entire property was decorated for the Holidays. We've stayed here 2 or 3 times previously, but never during the Holidays. The building is amazing! The craftsmanship that went into every detail is stunning. We booked the Tannenbaum (Fir Tree) room. It is Abendblume's largest suite, and includes not one, but TWO fireplaces. It's like a room in a ski lodge, simply beautiful! The bed - and its European linens - was extremely comfy and cozy. The view from the smaller room (with 2 comfy chairs and a gas fireplace) is great. We enjoyed our morning coffee taking in that view each day! Breakfast each morning included a lot of options - cold meats, cheeses, muffins, oatmeal, bread, fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, apple strudel and soft boiled eggs. On our first morning, we were even treated to Aebleskiver, Danish pancake balls. The sitting room downstairs is appointed nicely, with a huge fireplace. There is a hot tub on the patio, but the last two times we've stayed, it must have been too cold for it to be operational. Everything at Abendblume was great. We'll continue to stay at this wonderful retreat when we visit Leavenworth - it's the icing on a Bavarian cake!

Abendblume was a German oasis away from the motherland itself!! As a former study abroad student you're not going to get much closer to a German Inn than this!! The architecture is PHENOMENAL!! The original owner had it built that way so you felt as if you were in Germany (Hence the name Abendblume- meaning evening flower!!) I visited at the end of January, and it still had those warm holiday feels with all the Christmas lights and fresh garland. The large oversized Christmas trees in all the common areas made everything really warm and inviting. There were large oversized leather chairs and a couch in front of the fireplace on the main floor and it smelled of rich mahogany& bourbon (only kidding about the mahogany and bourbon, but it was nice!). Due to COVID we were unable to get in the hot-tub (thanks Inslee) but, the coziness and warmth I felt from the staff and the cups of complimentary tea and coffee well made up for the losses. The rooms are all so unique and have their own cute little names, complete with a bathroom and fireplace and ours had a balcony. If you're not staying here- YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!!! Trust me. The food was made fresh, chocolate chip banana muffins and a REALLY yummy poached egg hash that morning for breakfast. The dining area is so dreamy! With all of the snow it was so bright and we could see the Clydesdale horses next door. They had great gift options as well for purchase for those stopping in from out of town- best hidden gem in Leavenworth!! 10/10 will be back!! Danke Schon, Abendblume!!

We stayed here in the Sleeping Beauty room for the second half of our honeymoon in December. It was a quiet, romantic getaway with exceptional service. The owner was friendly and accommodating. Location is perfect. It's far enough away from the chaos of downtown to maintain a calm, serene vibe, while still being within walking distance. Although you'll need good cold weather gear to make the walk in the winter months. It was 6° for us. Every aspect of this bed and breakfast is more beautiful than we expected. The pictures do not do it justice. Every detail is thought out and executed to perfection. I'm extremely picky when it comes to cleanliness, and this is the first time I've stayed at a hotel/inn etc. without a single complaint. The breakfasts are exquisite, and the nighttime snacks were an unexpected surprise. We didn't want our stay to end, and we will be back for years to come.

Early morning in the winter, beautiful sunrise.

My wife and I decided to venture out for a get away weekend but wanted something that we could do "covid safe". Abendblume was just the answer. This place is great, I am a hard reviewer and rarely give 5 stars but really everything was exceptional with our stay. Our host, Ashley, did a great job and was there anytime we needed her but not when we didn't. Everything from top to bottom was clean, breakfast was well done and they took appropriate precautions for seating keeping guests spread out, everyone had masks in common areas yet it was very comfortable and quite. While Abendblume was full when we stayed we rarely saw anyone else and had no issues with keeping isolated from other guests. We actually went into Leavenworth one night and turned around and came back because there where so many people, many without masks, running around Leavenworth - this is why we have a pandemic people!! Abendblume is a great little refuge from the world that is extremely comfortable, quite and well managed. We are absolutely planning to stay again sometime!

if you are ever planning a stay in Leavenworth, WA - you NEED to stay at Abendblume. This is the best B&B I've ever stayed out. It is so beautiful on the inside and outside! Ever room is unique and so cozy. We stayed in the Fir Tree and it was perfect. Super big, lots of space, cozy bathtub and amazing views. Breakfast each morning was delightful and the hospitality was 5 stars.

Stephen and I stopped in Leavenworth about 2 years ago, and really loved the quaint German feel that this town had.  It truly reminded us of our visit to Germany. For this visit, Stephen wanted to spend more time here, so we decided to spend the night.  There were plenty of hotels in the town, but somehow by luck I stumbled onto Abendblume Inn, and the reviews were glowing beyond praise. In German, ablenblume means "evening flower".  This bed and breakfast was simpley beautiful as any flower you can imagine  It resembled an Austrian Chalet, and being located in the middle of an open field, you feel that you're in the Cascade Mountains in the Bavarian Alps. Upon entering the door, you're greeted by a naturally lit staircase, and a warm greeting. To the left of the foyer is a sitting room, which led to a spa and garden. To the right the breakfast area, where you can get coffee or tea anytime. Up the stairs and to the right was our room, the Rosengarten, which was one of the more simple of rooms at this B+B was $200 tax included. When we opened the door, we were not expecting such a delightful room.  The room had a 4-poster bed, prepared in a traditional Austrian/ German style with individual duvets. There was a note that said if you wanted a blanket and top sheet, they have that too. In addition, we had a faux fireplace, satellite tv, dvd player (there were dvd's were in the common area) and a balcony with a wonderful view of the open field. Our bathroom was very spacious, and had plenty of storage space and a professional grade hairdryer... no, really, think T3 brand quality! We had a sunken tub with a handheld shower, or you can attach the shower to remain freestanding.  We had plenty of fluffy towels, 2 thick bathrobes, and toiletries from Gilchrist and Soames (the same company that Caesars Palace uses).   Our hostess Kristen said to come down at 8:00 for dessert and coffee/tea.  The dessert of the day was a huge apple pie!  Even with all 10 house guests eating a slice, there was still left over pie. Breakfast was served at 8:30 am, and there was plenty of choices for everyone.  Each table was playfully decorated, and when we sat down we were served hot Aebleskiver, which loosely means fritters, covered in powdered sugar.  We also had a carafe of hot coffee, and a buffet of food from fruit, hard boiled eggs, to sliced German meats to a variety of bread and cereals. This was such a wonderful place to stay.  One day wasn't enough, and I can see why this place got 5-star reviews across the board.  The price was reasonable, the accommodation was second to none (even better than some high priced $400 ones we've stayed in Napa Valley), and we even got all the comfort things we wanted: quiet retreat, satellite tv, wifi, delicious dessert, and a hearty breakfast. On a side note: we were able to peek at one of the other rooms, and while we were blown away with the quality of Rosengarten, the other rooms were just as lovely. I can honestly say no matter what room you pick, you'll be happy with it.

This place is a dream. Starting with the lovely driveway with trees swaying in the wind as if they welcome you. The outside is picture perfect. Once inside we were warmly greeted by Kelly, the owner. She took us to our room. Everything is white and immaculate. The tub is also a spa. Bubble bath, here we come. What makes a Bed & Breakfast perfect? The bed and the breakfast. Lol. At Abendblume, sleeping on the bed is like laying on fluffy clouds. Breakfast is divinely good, not to mention different dessert each night. Every restaurant that I tried in Leavenworth is a pale comparison to the good food at Abendblume. It is worth staying at Abendblume, which is 2 hours away from where I needed to be. I don't mind one tiny bit. I rather drive than miss out on staying at this fairy tale, picture perfect place.

If you like quiet and beauty, this bed and breakfast is perfect! The breakfast was good, and they serve a dessert at night. My boyfriend and I stayed in the Maiden Room, and it was too small for two people. The large upstairs rooms with a balcony looked great though! Great location, with hikes and the Leavenworth Summer Theatre nearby. Highly recommend if you get one of the bigger rooms!

Room: We stayed at the Abendblume Inn for our 10 year anniversary. We booked the Dornroschen Room (Sleeping Beauty). This room is on the east side of the house and while most of the windows had coverings that kept the sun out, the bathroom window just had a frilly white curtain so the sun came streaming through waking me up at 5 each morning. I wish there had been a window covering so the sun didn't make me up. The bed was comfy and relaxing. Bathroom: Definitely nice! The water got super hot. The multiple shower heads (6 total - 2 above the head and 4 on the wall) were a nice feature. The jetted tub could fit 2 people and was a nice amenity, especially after all the walking we did downtown. There were ample towels and fresh towels every day. The downside was the bathrobes. They felt over-washed, thin, and scratchy. I tried them once and immediately took it off. Balcony: Our room had a large corner balcony. We did sit in the chairs quite a few times although we had to use the couch pillows so the balcony chair backs didn't poke into our backs. The view was nice although we stuck to the east side of our balcony. Going around the corner to the south made it feel like we were invading the space of the people in the room next to us. I wish there was more of a privacy wall between their balcony and ours. Food: Breakfast was delicious! There was fruit and oatmeal and a few cereals and basic bread every day. There was also some sort of flavored bread/pastry each day (we had coffee cake, lemon cake, and a fruit pastry on separate mornings). There was also some meats and cheeses available each day. Two mornings we had some sort of apple syrup with dough. The dough was separate (and good on its own) and you poured the apple syrup on top. They were good. We also had some hashbrown dish with egg on top. It was not very good in my opinion. Available to drink was orange juice, water, and a carafe of coffee for each table. Location: it was about a mile from downtown, so you had to travel to get downtown, but it did make it much quieter. It was a nice location and the views were nice. Other: There was a hot tub, but we didn't use it. They had a small DVD collection to borrow from to watch in your room. We did watch one but the TV was small and couldn't really be viewed from the couch, so you had to sit across the room on the bed. There was cable TV but it kept saying there were signal errors so we couldn't do that. There was Wi-Fi but it didn't require a password so it's not a secure connection. One final perk was Kelly provided a nightly dessert each night if you wanted.

My husband and I came here last year for our honeymoon and we are back for our anniversary we loved it so much! The staff (very few of them) are so inviting and sweet and helpful. Each room is different but we favor the Tannenbaum room for it's cabin-ish theme. The food is TO-DIE-FOR. Each morning there's a full, super fancy breakfast bar starting at 830. One day there were these delicious apple skivers and the next day there was hashbrowns with a yummy dollop of something creamy on the top as the main attractions. I'm anxious to see what we have in the morning! I would also highly recommend the cheese fondue! You have to ask for it, but you can choose between cheese and chocolate. Lol we will come back every year if we can. It is 100% worth it. I've recommended it to SO many people! I'll update the post with photos later!

The Abendblume is the ultimate place to stay in Leavenworth, and arguably the nicest spot to eat, too. Admittedly, my local adventures here have only just begun, so there' s a lot more about the town and surroundings still to discover on subsequent sojourns. My initial impressions from staying at the 'Blume in spring 2013, however, are overwhelmingly positive ones (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/abendblume-pension-leavenworth?select=gXjo74RGFmIKjd4GgCmabQ#vYWWCp3tIhNooD3YMR-1_Q). The impressions begin when you arrive at the exquisite tree-lined entrance road that is about as pretty as it gets; the sound of leaves rustling in a light spring breeze is simply magnificent, deserving of the superlative (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/abendblume-pension-leavenworth?select=gXjo74RGFmIKjd4GgCmabQ#wLSAWYi8UubHIFqIbkgYog). We arrived in the early afternoon, to a quiet sunny day in mid-May. After checking in, we had time for an impromptu lunch on the patio, which was basically perfect. Al fresco dining in a bucolic setting? Hard to find fault with that (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/abendblume-pension-leavenworth?select=gXjo74RGFmIKjd4GgCmabQ#1elLoMd-r-8RhlKazOXtSg). And then there is the Abendblume itself, a Guesthouse/B&B that easily ranks in the best of the best category, for its uniqueness, charm, and attention to details (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/abendblume-pension-leavenworth?select=gXjo74RGFmIKjd4GgCmabQ#GBPYOCb9RX-2TrUqJPkMVg). Most of what you see was built on-site, using a combination of local materials and Old World inspiration. The owners crafted a lot of things themselves and relied on local artisans to assist with the rest. Leavenworth is like that: independent, hard-working, values-oriented, mixing the living and breathing spirit of the Cascades with emigrant memories of happy times spent in German-speaking Central Europe. Kitsch is not a word I'd use here. Authentic, quaint, solid, enduring, these are more appropriate. Clearly, the owners and their supporting circle of family and friends really like living here, and they are happy to share it with others. The profit motive seems secondary, which is important in the B&B trade. It can't simply be a cash or credit kind of transaction; there needs to be a human element at play, and the nexus between people and place should be evident. It is, here. It's a warm welcome, a generous breakfast, a beautiful bedroom, an evening on the patio, a refreshing bath, a frog and bird sound morning, a light spring rain, the rustle of chickens and slow motion of horses, the smell of meadow and hay, the views of snow-capped mountains and forested ridges that beckon of sights and sounds of falling, melting, and rushing water. The Rosengarten room on the second floor is as spacious as it is romantic, filled with the sorts of things that make you feel at ease, and a little elegant, without frills or fluff. It's a lovely place to be. Downtown Leavenworth may hit you with its Bavarian brass and beer gardens, but at Abendblume, it's about the alpine ambiance of a place that combines the best of both worlds: of old and new, young and old, physical and emotional, hands-on but also heartfelt. I can't recommend it highly enough to those with a love of American landscapes and an acquired taste for outside-the-box B&B adventures.

One of the best place we have stay on our travel. What a special place that Renee and Randy has created to share with us all. We stayed in the snowwhite room, wow, just luxurious and spacious. I love that we have our own private deck looking out the the mountain range. Best sunrise and sunset view! The breakfast was one of the best breakfast I have ever had. Renee is so friendly and warm and has great taste. My husband requested help for having flowers and Champagne in our room at our arrival and she just did a splendid job picking out delicious wine and a gorgeous bouquet. The crackling fire and heavenly European bed was the kind of comfort that you wouldn't expect at a B&B. It was like staying at a 5 star luxury resort. Everything was spotless clean, the guests that were there was also so nice and friendly. This luxury bed and breakfasts is a must stay if you ever travel up to Leavenworth. Thank you Renee for you wonderful hospitality and for making our visit a very memorable one. We really enjoy getting to know your story and history of your place. We will be back hopefully sooner than later. I couldn't stop thinking about your cast iron shredded potatoes hash and egg. You are a great chef too.

The location is wonderful as you can walk to the Leavenworth village in just a few minutes. The room was comfortable, the bed plush and plenty of pillows to choose from. Although there was an adjoining door, thankfully noise was not an issue during our stay. We had the complimentary breakfast on our first morning here, which is a nice perk of staying here. I liked the omelet with onions and peppers. The food was OK overall. We got a margarita pizza from the pub restaurant which was good. It's nice to have a food option available right in the hotel. Went into the pool once - it's located outside. It was refreshing to cool off. The size of the pool is on the smaller side, and so once people come in and get noisy, naturally it isn't so relaxing. Would've stayed in longer, but oh well. The first night, my family member told me that our room was out of conditioner and she used the little bit remaining, and that we were also low on shampoo. I went to the front desk and requested more shampoo and conditioner. The desk attendant said you just had to push the container hard (there are dispensers opposed to individual travel-size bottles). I went back to the room and only got a few drops of conditioner to use. The following day, we asked a housekeeping team member to check our dispensers. She ALSO said you just had to push the dispenser hard. But when they came to our room later that day, we saw that the dispensers had been filled up because finally there was product in each and plenty to use. Not sure why it couldn't have been fixed in the first place, and it was assumed we weren't using them correctly. Once we checked out from the hotel, my family member remarked it was strange that the person at the front desk just promptly took our two room key cards and didn't say anything, like briefly asking how our stay was, or simply just a quick 'thank you' for staying here. Maybe it was just particularly busy.... but something like that can go a long way.

Walking to the local Safeway might be a tad too much for most folks though, especially if you buy a lot of stuff. I drove to the Safeway for a bottle of liquor and soda chaser, for example. I will drive to a fresh fruit stand also. We enjoyed the hotel breakfast also. The very fluffy biscuits seemed home made and the sweets(cinnamon rolls and a walnut something muffin) also appeared to be done locally. I enjoyed my cinnamon roll. Coffee was excellent, not watery. The meat protein varied and was also surprisingly very decent, not to salty. The breakfast is better than at most Hilton properties, IMHO. I highly recommend this hotel.

I wish I could tell them to just go home but that would be giving them the attention they desperately seek.. and I'm sure would cause the staff more issues. Reception and dinning staff also excellent. They are very professional and kind. I've gotten so used to coming here I hate to say I have forgotten some of the formalities like waiting to be seated in the dinning room but the staff didn't make me feel bad for it. I was just very embarrassed. Thank you again for a wonderful stay. I wish I could take this hotel home with me every time I leave.

I stopped by the Posthotel on a Sunday evening, around 8:30 PM, to ask about staying here after…read morehearing good things about it. The entrance is locked, so I used the call button, and a staff member told me I could come in with a few questions. I walked the few steps straight to the front desk. It quickly became clear entry was for me alone perhaps I missed this part over the intercom, and my group was commanded to "get out" outside like we just trespassed and they obliged fast, legit they were scared. Now how a hotel wants to run its business is the hotel's call to make, and I don't dispute it. What I take issue with is the delivery and lack of respect. When I calmly mentioned this wasn't a great first impression with a light chuckle to make light of situation and tried to explain how it came off , the front desk employee, who identified himself as Michael, cut me off with "stop, stop" instead of a brief, courteous explanation. His reasoning was that this is a "guest exclusive" hotel, which is an odd thing to lead with toward someone who walked in specifically to ask about becoming a guest. I have no issue with a guests-only, adults-only policy. My issue is entirely with how a prospective, paying customer was treated at the door. For a property with this reputation and price point, I expected warmth and patience. What I got was curt and dismissive from the first moment. I'm 34 years old and I've never had a hotel interaction like this. This is only the second review about a hotel I've written in my life and the first negative one. I don't make a habit of complaining. I walked in genuinely hoping to book, wanting to become one of the five-star reviews I'd read. Instead I left having been talked over at the front desk. If you're weighing whether the glowing ratings tell the whole story, take that for what it's worth. To the Johnson family and Steinbock Resorts: five generations in Leavenworth, a hotel you designed and built with your own hands, a reputation people drive across the state for. That legacy deserves better representation at the door. One employee, in one minute, can undo years of what your family spent decades building. I hope this reaches you, and I hope you take it seriously.

The pictures on the website do not do any justice to how beautiful this place is, NONE!! As reluctant as I was to share my experience because I wanted to keep this place a secret (lol), I just had to! Keep in mind, the ambience of this Inn is part of Leavenworth so don't expect it to be completely modernized or contemporary. The staff were very nice and friendly. Always smiled as we passed through. The amenities available during your stay, was great! There are many more things available/ additional areas to this place that I didn't access during my stay. The dinning area is very clean and large with many windows to view the back of the property as well as, the snow capped mountains. The rooms are quite big and bathrooms are huge. Both very clean! The beds and pillows were soooo comfortable. In the room, there are ACs and a door that leads to a small balcony with a patio table and chairs for the outer rooms. This area isn't a personal-ish space because there are no walls separating the other rooms and during our stay, we did not experience other patrons utilizing this access to enter nor exit therefore It wasn't an issue for us at all. The upper floors have access to the stairs going up or down to the parking stalls. I, personally, did not feel it was a security issue at all. No noise issue at all as well, very quiet and peaceful. I was able to checkout the family/game room and it is large with everything they say is available. There was nothing impersonal about this space even though It's a shared space. The 2 lounge areas make you feel like you are at home. We actually sat in the lounge area on the second floor to relax and figure out where we were going for dinner. I've seen families having lunch and others just doing their thing. The lounge areas were kept clean. Couches were comfortable too. We were in walking distance to the promenade and never felt unsafe. In summary, I really needed much RRR and the Enzian Inn did it for me!! Everything was perfect!! All that I experienced here, was intentional and I felt important. Thank you, Enzian Inn, for a wonderful experience and accommodations! Note: Our time spent here, was at the end of February 2026.

She will send you a confirmation text before your arrival. I really enjoyed their traditional German breakfast, which includes cold cuts of meat, pastries, muffins, bread, and hard (or soft boiled) eggs. The room itself was very spacious. I liked the heated floors in the bathroom. The room includes one of those flat screens that turns into a painting / background when you turn it off. If you didn't know it was a TV, you'd think it's just framed artwork on the wall. Great location, great service, great food. One of my favorite places to stay.

In general Leavenworth itself is very dog friendly. Wherever we walked, including on Front Street, we saw many dog owners out with their pups. My GSD was in dog heaven! We even met another dog owner in town, whose kids were so sad, because they felt they couldn't take their dog on the trip with them. I recommended they consider the Blue Elk Inn for their next visit to Levenworth. They seemed ecstatic to learn of such a dog friendly hotel and one without dog weight limits, as their dog was large like our German Shepherd. I also showed them a pic of the dog friendly package left on our bed, which included a dog blanket (for your pet to lay on your bed), a paw cleaning towel and dog treats. The front desk also had a dog treat & poop bags display. I've never seen such a dog friendly hotel and where each and every available room was also dog friendly! We stayed in the Superior King with Patio, which includes a private entry and gas fire pit. This particular accommodation is extremely convenient for potty breaks, rather than those rooms inside the Inn or on the 2nd floor, especially for those late night potty breaks. Plus, since the patio is fenced in, it allows your pup an area to roam off leash. It's also nice for those that might have loud pups, when left alone, while you're out eating or enjoying the pool, jacuzzi or sauna. The patio rooms are close to your parked vehicle, so that's another plus, if that option is necessary. The wonderful breakfast, which is included, was also a very welcomed hit each morning. This is not a Continental Breakfast, it's a full on breakfast, which rotated daily. I've never stayed at a place that was so dog friendly and will definitely stay at the Blue Elk Inn again on our next visit to Leavenworth!

She clearly has no business being in hospitality. Soooo I checked in at 3:51 pm Room Ready. Very unfriendly. Gave me explanations to the key, a code to door and a dog towel. She never did text to tell me when it was ready. She never went over the details of the hotel, breakfast, other than that the hot tub was broken. I had to use chat GBT to find out when breakfast was. Icings on the cake? Last time we were here it was also my Birthday. They left a lovely bottle of bubbles. This time a happy birthday card some chocolate and a brand new wine opener with NO WINE. Last but not least, Roku tv loaded, opened live TV clicked on every channel and the screen turned black. I tried everything trying to get on turning it off making sure it was updated. It was not a user error. I can assure you. Said front desk lady was unhelpful. I tried what she suggested. No luck. She should've offered us a different room. The keurig was nice but no water. The self phone charging pads built in to the lamps seemed helpful to use but both sides did not work. Needless to say our stay has been grossly disappointing. Why did I pay $200 + when you have so many opportunities for lovely hotels elsewhere. Looking forward To speaking to management about our stay and how my complaints will be addressed.

Unfortunately, based on the lack of flexibility and customer service, we will not return to Orbital Inn and would strongly encourage others to consider staying elsewhere in Leavenworth. You can't set the thermostat lower than 70 and the thermometer in the room showed 74-76 most of the time on a day in the mid 80s. Combined with the fan, it was enough to sleep comfortably. I'm unsure what would happen if the temperature rises to the 90s or 100s though. You have to climb stairs to the second floor. The stairs are inside. I'll post a picture of them. Check in actually happened at the Iconoclast Cafe, where the staff apparently double as baristas and hotel reception. Nonetheless everyone was friendly and helpful despite having to take the time to complete some of the check in information since I didn't book direct and didn't receive the links in advance. Even so, I liked the hotel and room layout as my friend and I had two separate beds and there was even a hammock hanging above them, which was such a fun, unexpected feature. The space had an outdoorsy modern feel with thoughtful elements that made it feel unique and cozy (headlamp, cooler, rumpl blanket, etc.). Even though we didn't end up using the LOGE app or the complimentary bikes, we appreciated that those amenities were available and it's definitely something I would take advantage of on a longer stay and/or at another LOGE hotel. We also didn't check out the beergarden! I'd say one of the only downsides was that the building itself felt a little old though I guess the charm of the space and overall experience made up for it.
