After taking some time to reflect on my new comfy cabin experience I've come to realize that staying there was one of the most miserable experiences I've ever had

Great selection of glassware and bar supplies, just BYOB!

Now each cabin will be unique, but our stay in the Riffle River cabin was nothing short of extraordinarily. The check-in process was super easy with the Hospitality app, complete with lock code, directions, and more. Upon arrival, we had a lovely gift bag with bottle of wine and snacks - yay! The location is beautiful and serene - take note that it's a bit of a drive from Downtown Leavenworth- 35 minutes on pretty and windy road. The cabin itself: WOW! Inside was wonderful, and outside even better - the patio is huge and sits right on the river. it was a perfect 75 degree weekend, so we spent much of our time sitting and soaking it up. No better way to drink a cup of coffee in the AM. Dont forget the game room! Pool table, ping pong, air hockey, and foosball. Our boys were in heaven. The kitchen is large and probably the best equipped I have ever had in a rental. Well done. We will be back!

Peace of Pine

I stayed at the Peace of Pine cabin just 20 minutes away from Leavenworth. It's a cute little modern cabin that sleeps 4 with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. It has a hot tub, bbq gas grill and a gas fire pit on the patio. They offer Netflix, AmazonPrime and Hulu on the smart TV. They also have free WiFi. Both bedrooms offer a queen size bed. The living room, dining area and kitchen is an open concept so it's very roomy for what is considered a small cabin. The backyard is very spacious. The guide says to wash all the towels at checkout but I didn't find a washer and dryer at this cabin. Also upon checking out I found a few spiders in the closet which freaked me out but overall the cabin was clean and we had no other issues. We want to come back here with friends or check out their other cabins.

Merry Cabin
Conner J.

What an incurable cabin! Not only does this cabin have great amenities such as the fire pits, hot tub, kitchen and nice beds, but they pay attention to the small details too such as plenty of stuff for your pets, free gifts, games, etc. It is just far enough away from the neighbors that you will not hear them but far enough that you feel stranded and it is 15 minutes from downtown. The connection getting there is pretty poor so they had sent instructions on how to get there and anything else we needed before we even left which gave us plenty of time to figure things out. This is the best way to spend your time in Leavenworth!

Riverside Vacation Home - Hot tub overlooking the river!

Riverside Vacation Home

Almost two years later and we had the opportunity to come back and stay in this beautiful home…read moreagain! We love that it fits larger groups and people can spread out over the multiple levels of the home. My favorite is relaxing by the fire with the beautiful windows overlooking the river. If it hadn't been pouring down rain we would've used the outdoor fire pit and listened to the rushing river. But it's a house you want to sit in and be cozy in when it's pouring outside so we were happy regardless. I have nothing negative to say about this home. It is beautiful and is a place you can truly relax in. We also love that it is a two minute drive to Leavenworth and all the cute restaurants and shops the town has to offer! Not to mention its proximity to Safeway for that last minute grocery need. We have stayed in several homes in the Leavenworth area and this is without a doubt our favorite. The rental staff also made our experience pleasant and it was so simple to reserve this home and have all the info we needed for our stay. I highly recommend this rental!

The conference room table downstairs would be pretty epic for a team offsite. The views are stellar and to have the river as the backdrop to the entire stay was superb! Some attention to details would make things a bit better, such as ensuring there are no spiders or their webs in the showers. The A-frame "annex" staircase is super noisy so there's no discrete way to go up or down those stairs for others that are sleeping. Also, the Wi-Fi struggles to maintain a signal in that loft area, and thankfully my Apple TV and other devices did okay regardless. A second node over on that side would strengthen that easily. Would recommend to stay there for sure, hoping we can do it again sometime.

Would put 5 stars but my last stay here was not as pleasant at the end. My infant daughter got sick…read moreso she was whining some of the stay (not loud) but the people under us complained and they came to my door around 7pm and were telling us to keep it down, at witch we explained that I can't shut up a infant that is sick. Also the unit they gave us is broken, there bathroom makes lots of really severely loud noise after getting flushed.

Well I'm unimpressed thus far with cleanliness. Finding not little but a lot of black hairs all…read moreover the main bathroom floor was gross. But the pile of hairs in the toilet was nasty. Totally gross. But the worst had yet to come. The towels literally smelled like mildew. My poor son, 6 1/2 and already exhausted because we'd driven for 7 plus hours and then all food options were eliminated by the late arrival, with only a microwave meal I figured a nice warm shower would help him relax before bed. Well he sadly looked at me and said "mama this towel smells really bad." And WOW it did. Then I was the lucky recipient of the next stinky towel. It was so bad I didn't even wipe myself off. I used the ONE washcloth that didn't stink to dry myself off. When we went to use the coffee machine the filter was dirty and the machine full of coffee grounds. It took me 3 cycles of 6 cups of water to get water to come through clean. How it was not simple enough to clean a coffee machine is beyond me. Our initial arrival we were greeted to a tower of trash and Rubbermaid bins WTF? When we called to ask about it they said they'd take care of it right away. At 12:30 am when we went to bed, it was all stillthere Day 2 we bought detergent to wash them because no one wants a knarly towel to dry off from the shower with. After washing them they're like new. But what a huge pain!!! For cleanliness they get a 2.5/5 from me. A bathroom is the second place you want REALLY clean aside from your bed. And then the kitchen. The beds were fine (a bit old and "springy") but I could have slept on the floor I was so tired. The bathroom should definitely have been mopped and properly cleaned. And I wouldn't have left a dirty coffee machine either. However, the ability to cook your own food 5/5 especially since it's slim pickings and terrifically long lines here for most places. The sledding hills at the property 5/5 because it's fluffy and clean snow. And great sledding. Assigned parking per unit 5/5 because it's easier to have "your" space than have to figure it out or fight for parking. Proximity to "downtown" is 2/5 if you've got kids OR if it's this much snow. It wouldn't be easy or safe to walk with kids with the amount of ice there is out and loads of snow. All in all, I give it a 3 since the value is there. Next time I know to bring cleaning products to make sure it's up to snuff.

It was easy to get to - don't even have to navigate Leavenworth tourist traffic - and a hop and a skip to the main drag with eateries and shops. Easy! The place itself was one bed, one bath, with a microwave, small fridge, and coffee maker. They thoughtfully provided utensils, paper plates, and paper towels. The coffee included was delicious. I know that's probably more popular than the tea yet it would have been nice to see an upgrade on the tea on offer as my spouse does drink it and was not turned on by it. So it's not "fancy." It's not "boutique". It feels like a hotel and we were FINE WITH THAT. Why? Because it's CLEAN and has just what you need. The bright sun is coming in. The A/C is on. There's a place to sit down, a place to sleep and veg, a place to wash up, really what more do you need? AND they allow pets. We have been to fancier places that were dirty and didn't feel secure. They told us: "We can provide a refund for the unused nights if the air quality worsens and exceeds 200 during your stay." They expect us to drive into a hazardous fire zone and waste our trip just to maybe get a refund once we arrive. As a former host myself, their lack of empathy and flexibility is unbelievable.

You will find…read moreplenty of dogs all around the grounds, so if you're not into taking your best friend on a trip with you, you might want to look elsewhere. In general Leavenworth itself is very dog friendly. Wherever we walked, including on Front Street, we saw many dog owners out with their pups. My GSD was in dog heaven! We even met another dog owner in town, whose kids were so sad, because they felt they couldn't take their dog on the trip with them. I recommended they consider the Blue Elk Inn for their next visit to Levenworth. They seemed ecstatic to learn of such a dog friendly hotel and one without dog weight limits, as their dog was large like our German Shepherd. I also showed them a pic of the dog friendly package left on our bed, which included a dog blanket (for your pet to lay on your bed), a paw cleaning towel and dog treats. The front desk also had a dog treat & poop bags display. I've never seen such a dog friendly hotel and where each and every available room was also dog friendly! We stayed in the Superior King with Patio, which includes a private entry and gas fire pit. This particular accommodation is extremely convenient for potty breaks, rather than those rooms inside the Inn or on the 2nd floor, especially for those late night potty breaks. Plus, since the patio is fenced in, it allows your pup an area to roam off leash. It's also nice for those that might have loud pups, when left alone, while you're out eating or enjoying the pool, jacuzzi or sauna. The patio rooms are close to your parked vehicle, so that's another plus, if that option is necessary. The wonderful breakfast, which is included, was also a very welcomed hit each morning. This is not a Continental Breakfast, it's a full on breakfast, which rotated daily. I've never stayed at a place that was so dog friendly and will definitely stay at the Blue Elk Inn again on our next visit to Leavenworth!

She clearly has no business being in hospitality. Soooo I checked in at 3:51 pm Room Ready. Very unfriendly. Gave me explanations to the key, a code to door and a dog towel. She never did text to tell me when it was ready. She never went over the details of the hotel, breakfast, other than that the hot tub was broken. I had to use chat GBT to find out when breakfast was. Icings on the cake? Last time we were here it was also my Birthday. They left a lovely bottle of bubbles. This time a happy birthday card some chocolate and a brand new wine opener with NO WINE. Last but not least, Roku tv loaded, opened live TV clicked on every channel and the screen turned black. I tried everything trying to get on turning it off making sure it was updated. It was not a user error. I can assure you. Said front desk lady was unhelpful. I tried what she suggested. No luck. She should've offered us a different room. The keurig was nice but no water. The self phone charging pads built in to the lamps seemed helpful to use but both sides did not work. Needless to say our stay has been grossly disappointing. Why did I pay $200 + when you have so many opportunities for lovely hotels elsewhere. Looking forward To speaking to management about our stay and how my complaints will be addressed.

That accomplished, you're whisked 8 miles, through 6,000 acres of timber land, to high camp. Once there, you'll settle into one of 9, surprisingly well equipped, if very rustic, cabins. The camp host will have pre-stocked your cabin with plenty of firewood, 5 gallons of delicious spring water, and a comfy mattress & pillows. There is an out house a few steps from any where you are in camp. Each cabin has its own cook stove and a good stock of cooking equipment and dishes. From there, the opportunities for back-country play seem endless and our host (McKenzie) had really great local knowledge to share. We spent 4 days skiing and snow shoeing but easily could have stayed a week or more and look forward to returning to the area to explore the trails in the summer as well. This place feels a bit like Sangri La-- isolated, beautiful, wilderness all for you to enjoy thoroughly. The wood fired hot tub and sauna are not to be missed. We indulged at least once a day and I am still dreaming about it. I'm someone who usually does not return to a hotel or resort, preferring to try something new, if given the opportunity. But, I see many future trips to High Camp in our future. A couple of extra tips: - This place is capital R rustic. Basically think of it as camping, but inside with a cozy woodstove & propane lanterns, and a comfier bed. If the idea of seeing a mouse, or using an outhouse, or no running water/electricity are a turn-off, this place might not be your jam. - All your gear goes on top of the range rover for transport. We packed in a duffle bag and a couple of hard-sided bins. This seemed to work well. Hard-sided bins are required for food-storage but cabins are stocked with them. - Drivers heft all of your gear on & off the roof of the transport and hosts seem to work pretty much all day long on various projects, including restocking firewood. We did not realize how much manual labor the staff put forth, and we really under planned in terms of tipping (the owner helped us sort that out later). I'd definitely plan to tip at least 10% split between drivers & host.

The location is wonderful as you can walk to the Leavenworth village in just a few minutes. The room was comfortable, the bed plush and plenty of pillows to choose from. Although there was an adjoining door, thankfully noise was not an issue during our stay. We had the complimentary breakfast on our first morning here, which is a nice perk of staying here. I liked the omelet with onions and peppers. The food was OK overall. We got a margarita pizza from the pub restaurant which was good. It's nice to have a food option available right in the hotel. Went into the pool once - it's located outside. It was refreshing to cool off. The size of the pool is on the smaller side, and so once people come in and get noisy, naturally it isn't so relaxing. Would've stayed in longer, but oh well. The first night, my family member told me that our room was out of conditioner and she used the little bit remaining, and that we were also low on shampoo. I went to the front desk and requested more shampoo and conditioner. The desk attendant said you just had to push the container hard (there are dispensers opposed to individual travel-size bottles). I went back to the room and only got a few drops of conditioner to use. The following day, we asked a housekeeping team member to check our dispensers. She ALSO said you just had to push the dispenser hard. But when they came to our room later that day, we saw that the dispensers had been filled up because finally there was product in each and plenty to use. Not sure why it couldn't have been fixed in the first place, and it was assumed we weren't using them correctly. Once we checked out from the hotel, my family member remarked it was strange that the person at the front desk just promptly took our two room key cards and didn't say anything, like briefly asking how our stay was, or simply just a quick 'thank you' for staying here. Maybe it was just particularly busy.... but something like that can go a long way.
