Years ago, I had rented an apartment with Huber that was then taken over by Herring and it was bad…read more Things I noticed with Herring: the yard was no longer being well maintained, the laundry room door was kicked in and never fixed, the quarters weren't removed from the laundry machines so they didn't work, the neighbors constantly barking dog was never addressed, work orders were ignored. The entire quality of the place went obviously downhill. I moved out. I got my full deposit back without issue. Fast forward, Hubs and I are looking for a large house to rent. Finding a 4,000 sq ft house isn't easy but we found one listed with Herring. We figured it would be different because it's a house, not an apartment, so the issues I had before won't be present. I couldn't be more wrong. After we applied, Herring sat on our application for a few weeks and, here's the kicker, NEVER TOLD THE OWNER! We happen to personally know the owner of the home so we finally told them ourselves that we had applied and they were surprised to hear it. Our application had been approved that entire time and the home was vacant and ready to rent. Zero reason for the delay. The home was being offered furnished or unfurnished. We needed it unfurnished which we communicated very clearly. When we got there on moving day, the entire house was still furnished! Herring had failed to communicate with the owners. The home owner also told us they did a full walk through with Herring and gave very specific instructions (the piano had to stay, the storage area would be used to put the furniture if we chose unfurnished). None of that was communicated to us. None of that was honored in the rental contract. The house wasn't ready for us to move in. It hadn't been cleaned but they charged me a $400 cleaning fee. I did a walk through and noted every aspect of damage. The lady conducting the walk through was supposedly writing it down for us as I was pointing it out to her. She hardly noted anything I said. We should be filling that form out ourselves since we will be held responsible for any damage. Conflict of interest much? Then I communicated to Herring that I got an emotional support pet for my mother. I had called them beforehand to ask what they needed for that process. I then sent them all the required paperwork per their instructions. They did nothing. Didn't tell the owner. Then they called me and said "the owner believes you have a pet on the premises." Uh yeah. Duh. I do. Remember both the phone call and the email where I told you all about that?! After the owner was done with their one year contract with Herring, they cancelled and chose to self manage. Guess who communicated that essential information to me? NOT Herring!! The owner told me. I had to call Herring and essentially demand a letter from them acknowledging they were no longer managing the property and ending my contractual obligation to pay rent to them. Good grief!! The rampant incompetence displayed here was shocking to me. And it wasn't just an isolated incident here and there. It was absolutely constant at every interaction with them. They didn't drop the ball...these people never figured out how to pick up the ball to begin with. On both ends, home owner and tenant, I highly recommend avoiding this company entirely.

They didn't let me know it would be an additional week before my rental house would be ready to move into. They have now cost me $4,000 for hotels and my U-Haul rental. I have never seen business practices like this. I am warning everyone I talk with to never do business with these guys.

From start to finish, Dan was always available to answer our questions and prompt with our requests to see various properties. His strong connections within the Wenatchee Valley were very helpful with our relocation to the area and finding a lender, as well as working with other listing agents. We were able to secure the perfect home in a very competitive market thanks to all of Dan's help and patience. I would use his services again without hesitation and would highly encourage others to do so based on our positive experience.

He listened to what we wanted, and he was very knowledgeable to help us meet our needs. He worked with a team of professionals, so he could give us the best counsel and service. He bent over backwards to help the buyer of our house in Wenatchee find financing since it is a manufactured home. I believe our house sold for the price that and in the time frame it did because of his services. He held several open houses and provided incentives for other realtors to come to see the house since it was a bit out of town. He went above and beyond any of our expectations with both buying and selling. We are grateful to have him as our realtor and would recommend him 100%.

We rented a mid size storage unit from Huber Real Estate…read more Our experience with this company has been arduous. 1. The roof above our unit leaked. This wasn't apparent when we originally rented the unit until it had rained. When we went to retrieve some items from our unit, we noticed large puddles of water on the floor and many pieces of furniture and items were drenched. We aired out our unit and informed the company and they did go out and repair the leaking roof, but not before over $2000 worth of canvas art, clothing, and furniture had developed mold and mildew and were damaged beyond repair. We never had any offers or apologies from the company to reconcile our losses, and additionally; we had to spend time and money hauling our damaged property to the local dump. We should have switched companies at that point. 2. After having some of our property damaged from the leaking roof, we later received a brief email from the company stating that our storage unit had been broken into. They advised us to inspect our unit and file a police report if we noticed anything missing. When we went out to inspect, not only did it appear that we were the only unit that had been robbed, we realized that over half of the remaining contents of our unit had been stolen. We did file a police report and they required us to create an itemized list of all the things we had stolen. Our tally was over $2000.00. The thief/thieves weren't able to cut the lock, instead they just removed the entire rusty latch off the door. We took a photo of that and submitted it with our police report. Unfortunately, the company had no recourse for us financially as they do not have security cameras installed and all we could do was file a report. Even after the theft, as we were then making multiple trips to the unit to replace the lock, reorganize the unit, and wrap up things from our end, we noticed the main gate to the unit wasn't secure and we had to report it to the company to prevent anyone from being able to freely enter the area without a security code for the lock. We ended up letting the company know we wanted to stop service and they made sure to point out that our contract with them required a written 30day notice of intent to vacate. We didn't waste time, submitted the document and moved what remaining property we had left to a different storage unit company. The final request from Huber real estate was for us to sweep clean the unit and remove our lock before leaving. Overall, this was the most stressful and upsetting experience I've ever had in my life with a real estate company. Our total losses equate to around $4200.00. Did I mention??....The storage facility we use now is larger, cleaner, much more secure, and $20 less a month than Huber real estate was. 0/10 would not recommend doing business with this company.

I did just that and three months later, I get a text message saying that I haven't vacated my storage unit like they asked. I checked my mail, checked my email, checked everything and they did not contact me at all to tell me they needed me to vacate so they can renovate or move or something. I had to empty my storage unit and find a new one in 24 hours or else everything would be gone; they had already taken my payment for that month. Why would they sell me a unit without telling me in three months I would have to find a new one? Why didn't they contact me as per the contract I signed at the beginning of my rental? Because they are money grubbing law breakers. Don't do business with Huber.
