If you're looking for a spot in Fargo that truly gets dietary needs, Brew Bird is a gem. As someone who appreciates solid gluten-free and dairy-free options (without feeling like I'm sacrificing flavor), this place absolutely delivered. The menu has several clearly marked GF/DF choices, and it's refreshing to see more than just a token salad. The fried chicken options especially stood out crispy, flavorful, and surprisingly light for being allergen-friendly. You can tell they've put thought into their ingredients rather than treating it like an afterthought. Vibes are cozy and casual with a fun local atmosphere -- perfect for a relaxed lunch or casual dinner. Service was friendly, helpful with answering ingredient questions, and didn't make dietary restrictions feel like an inconvenience (huge plus!).

Cheese curds, onion rings

We stopped in for another meal. It was fantastic! The fried foods didn't have the burnt taste, the oil must have been overused at our last visit. Very good! So happy we gave them another try!

First time Fun corner renovation of an auto shop. We hot strips and waffle fries along with cheese curds. It all tasted great. P

The food was amazing and everything was gluten free so no worries at all. The crunch on the chicken was amazing. I would definitely like to stop here again!!!

Almost everything is GLUTEN FREE! With 2 family members with Celiac, this was an incredible find in Fargo. Plenty of options for dinner: cheese curds & onion rings, sandwiches & salads were really good. Staff was helpful and friendly. We sat inside, but the patio looked like it'd be nice for happy hour. Edit: we stopped on our way back to Minneapolis to get lunch! Delicious!

When you enter, there are menus to your right on the table. Look at them and walk up to the cash register and place your order. They give you a statue to place on your table. Then you find a place to sit and they bring your food out I was just grabbing a beer and onion rings. The onion rings were plentiful for the price in the beer was OK. I would like to come back someday and try some other things.

I asked a beertender nearby if I should eat here or another recommended place? He whole heartedly suggested here. I ordered the three piece thenders.... w waffle fries, it was too much, I threw one away!! But those fries? So good!! Honestly, I didn't even look at the sauce list.... I blindly asked the cashier which were her favorites? She clinched me w the White Barbeque. It did not disappoint!!! It was also great to dip my fries in!! MMMM It was a fun, cool vibe in Brew Bird w the tin seating area "walls". Thanks Brew Bird for the delicious , filling lunch!!

Wonderful crispy chicken sandwich. A little too salty for me, but still extremely good!

She selected regular cut bacon over thick cut, and also choose the cheesy hashbrowns as the potato option. I don't recall which bread she chose. She said it all tasted great, and had me taste the potatoes, but between the bacon & potatoes, it was on the greasier side (in case you are sensitive to that). I look forward to trying the Salmon Omelette, Beignets, Biscuits & Gravy and stuffed bagel for breakfast. Then several items from the lunch side.

It was fun and we got to try a lot of the menu! I would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a place to celebrate or just wanting good food!! Service: The servers routinely stopped by to bring our next course. Our main server was there at the perfect time to check in on how everything was tasting and getting our waters topped off. Overall everyone was also just friendly! Ambiance: While the atmosphere is on the more fancy side - there was still a causal essence to the place. A lot seating options for groups, couples wanting date night, people wanting just drinks, or those looking to stop in for a quick happy hour bite!

Mezzaluna is located in the downtown area of Fargo. So here's the summary: Parking: There is ample free street parking, which I'm definitely not used to having in LA. Entrance & Ambiance: It was a little tricky to find the entrance. You have to walk down a long hallway to get to the restaurant. The ambiance is very lively, dimly lit, spacious. Pricing: prices were affordable and what you would expect from a nice Italian restaurant Menu selection: good selection for meat eaters and vegetarians but sadly not for vegans/non-dairy eaters Service: our servers were great! All in all, it was a nice option and the sorbet was delicious! I know it's the Midwest so I can't expect a ton of vegan options; however, it would be nice to have more than 1 option.

We were waiting by the host stand when the hostess came up, followed by who I assumed was the manager on duty, all in a huff. Instead of a basic, professional welcome, we were snapped at: "It's going to be about 20-30 minutes to seat you, we are understaffed and very busy!" No apologies, no "Hey, please understand we are understaffed at the moment, if you like, please grab a drink at the bar and we will get you seated ASAP." The bar area seemed to be the only open section, and that was half-full at best. As someone in the industry, I get staggering tables, but to be so b*tchy about it is unacceptable. With both a street fair and the Bison game happening that same day, management should have expected that level of business and staffed accordingly. It wasn't our fault they were understaffed, and taking that frustration out on guests is a terrible way to make an impression on out-of-towners or locals alike!

When things had finally stabilized we decided to take ourselves out and landed at Lucky 13's. This is my kinda joint. Pub atmosphere, perfect (free) popcorn, fantastic retro tuneage, and speedy, efficient service are a given. The food is next level nom nom. They're one of the few restaurants out there that does a Monte Cristo sammich and when it's paired with their custom L13 Tots? Epicurean delights abound. The only reason I'm giving the experience 4 stars (rather than 5) is because their checkout process is entirely too old school. And the pen I was given to sign the receipt had little-to-no ink left in it. I know. Seems petty. But when it takes so long to do the whole card-bill-process-return dance that asking for a better writing utensil seems like a huge effort? Yup.

The salmon dip was amazing. Absolutely the best thing that we had. The New York strip was prepared poorly. We asked for it medium to rare and it came very well done. My husband enjoyed the Cuban sandwich w a side salad (which was a nicely elevated mixed greens) and our youngest daughter really liked the salmon dish.
