Been wanting to come here and finally did Doesn't look like nothing special but clearly by the amount of people that frequent is telling. As you come in there's a giant menu on the wall or you can grab a physical menu. You order and pay before getting a # and sitting yourself. Staff is very attentive. We ordered the artichoke dip and Asian chicken salad. Both were delicious. The salad has crispy chicken pieces and has plenty of cashews, cheese, wonton crisps, tangerine pieces, and comes with a little cheese biscuit. There's lots of menu choices which I like a big variety. Our Artichoke and spinach dip was warm and delicious with fresh chips and salsa.

I really loved Brett's and I'm glad we stumbled upon it. The food was really delicious and they had so many things to choose from. You order at the front and pay and then they bring the food to your table. The staff were friendly and they checked on us a couple of times while we ate. We had fried cheese bits, a Buffalo chicken quesadilla, and tomato bisque soup. All of it was amazing. It's nice for a little order and eat place. I can understand why people say the service isn't great because it was teenagers working but they kept the place clean and checked on us so I had no issues.

This spot was outstanding. Had the buffalo chicken quesadilla with onion rings. Soooooo delicious. The prices are reasonable and the seating/atmosphere is diner-like. Give this place a visit when you're in the area.

Food was pretty good. I had the black and blue quesadillas. The menu said they were chicken. I didn't read it that close. I've never had black and blue with chicken . They were good but I would have gotten a sub at Larry's or a steak sandwich. Oh well. My wife had a salad with walnuts and told them no chicken. They put chicken on it. Oh well.

Blind Pig Tavern is exactly what our family needed after a long day of traveling from Southern…read moreCalifornia. Athens is the first stop of an SEC college tour for my high school girls and after getting screwed by Avis giving us a lame-ass minivan rather than the Jeep that I reserved and our hotel being below Hilton standards (despite being a Hilton), a good, enjoyable dinner is what we were looking for. Compounding this issue was the fact that it was Valentine's Day on a Saturday night; for the record, VD is the absolute worst day in the world for guys. Most restaurants had waits of 45+ minutes and our appetites simply weren't in a position to cooperate with such a delay. We stumbled across Blind Pig Tavern and we immediately felt welcome. The staff was great, my spicy margaritas hit the spot and our food was A+. I went with the blackened fish sandwich and it had great flavor and it wasn't heavy. My girls enjoyed their salads and the nacho appetizer was devoured in five minutes flat. The best experience of our evening at Blind Pig Tavern was Mattie, our server. Not only was she friendly and engaging, but she has earned the title of the "Best Athens, Georgia Ambassador... Ever!" Her knowledge about the town she's grown up in and advocacy for attractions on and off the UGA campus was more than appreciated. Her livelihood and pride of her hometown and customer engagement has easily earned her this official/unofficial title! Please check out Blind Pig Tavern for some great eats and, if you're lucky, you may have Mattie as your server. And if you're from out of town, she'll immediately make you feel right at home.

Tried several types of burgers and sandwiches. Burgers were done as requested/ sides were good. Onion rings are fried-not the frozen and baked kind like some places. Slaw is good and fresh. But friend said the black beans were good-not overcooked and mushy. The fries were crisp. The sandwiches were on toasted bread and were tasty. Service: Servers were pleasant and helpful. Facility: Old but well maintained. Location: Conveniently located in a large strip mall with lots of parking. Other restaurants , grocery stores, etc nearby.

The food is quick, fresh, and consistently delicious -- even on game days when Athens is packed. We usually come early so we can relax and enjoy our meal before the rush hits, and it never disappoints. We normally stick with our usual favorites, but this time we decided to try something from the seasonal menu. I'm not even a pumpkin fan, but he absolutely loved his pumpkin dish, so I guess that means it was delicious! The atmosphere is another reason we enjoy coming here. It's lively and welcoming without feeling overwhelming, and there's just something about the upbeat brunch ambience that makes it a great way to start the day. Great food, great service, great atmosphere, and always a dependable experience. 10/10 as always! See you again this weekend!

The phone menu just dropped, and the pumpkin spice donuts are amazing, their juice bar drinks are always mixed really well and taste amazing and the pricing is proportional to the amount of food on your plate. We love coming here, the customer base is super diverse and we always feel very tended to.

No reservation, waited in nice open lobby, seated relatively quick. Server was very nice, entire staff was hustling with purpose. Food was great! Tater tots for the appetizer. As it is, I'd still give them a 4.75 stars for such a lovely experience. I would still say you NEED to eat here if you are here on Sunday! Just be warned to wear not slip shoes! They actually take reservations for Sunday brunch, so that's already a plus. When we were running a bit late, Indie was truly a joy to talk with, and she made the change without a hiccup! Once we got there, she was even more welcoming and got us seated in no time. Before I explain my concern, let me make it clear that we will certainly be back when we visit Athens! The location is so close to the UGA campus it's a no-brainer. There was plenty of street parking around, including handicap, so it's easy to get to. While the front entrance is almost hilariously plain and non-descript, the interior is really beautiful!! I felt like we walked into a The Great Gatsby. My daughter was tickled by the ever-changing ticker sign over the bar. Everyone loved the stained glass and deep colors. Even the bathrooms were like being at Grand Central Station in the 20's. And the food!!! We tried all the classic Southern Soul Food staples, and they did NOT disappoint! From the fried green tomatoes, to the shrimp & grits, to an enormous French Toast, they put their foot in it!! Bravo! I have to note that the fried chicken is truly crave-able--crispy, juicy, & flavorful!! The fried green tomatoes were cornbread crispy and delicious! Fair warning that they do have a bit of a bite to them, so check with your littles. We appreciated that they offered egg whites in any dish with eggs, but I wish there was a non-pork substitute for some dishes. There's a vegan selection, but it's just not the same, so we didn't try it. Maybe next time! I lived my goat cheese omelette, and the portion was big enough I got to take some home with me. Just wonderful food all around. The beignets were divine! And it ended up being my daughter's birthday dessert/app. And then we just kept ordering more. Cannot say enough great things about our server--and my mind goes blank because I wish I could remember her name!! She was great the entire time for our whole 9-top group. She kept the waters filled, she cleared plates along the way, she was welcoming and engaging, and we just all enjoyed being here because of it. While we waited for some of our party to arrive, we were directed to a beautiful lobby adjacent to the restaurant. Unfortunately, the floor was exceptionally slippery--like an oily kind of slippery that is not conducive to an 88-year-old using a walker kind of slippery. I was a little worried for my F & MIL. The elevator is so far from where we needed to be that it wasn't worth the risk, so we chose to go up the 2 steps at the front entrance. Luckily for us, everyone was able to move around with care this time.

We were seated immediately at a bar next to the front porch with a view of milledge. We both ordered mocktails, a fresh lemonade and cherry lime spritz, both were delicious and although we don't drink I can bet my bottom dollar their cocktails are crafted and amazing. We started with corn fritters, raw oysters and seasonal peach salad. The only thing I didn't like was the chili in the peach salad, I heard another table request it without so I guess that's an option but I believe in tasting it how it's served. For entrees we did the fresh pasta dish and the fish. Both were creative and divine. The filling for the pasta was silky and the touch of nutmeg or cinnamon in the sauce made it next level. The fish was perfectly cooked and paired nicely with the coconut sauce. For dessert we chose a cherry cheesecake and peanut butter chocolate cake with grape jelly ice cream. I'm not sure if they have a pastry chef but it's been some time since I've had a dessert crafted with so much love. The quality latte we drank with them was the cherry on top. Nestled in a gorgeous building that was once a residential house, the restaurant has a gorgeous and cozy ambience that makes you feel like you're visiting with friends from the moment you enter. The menu changes with the seasons, and I've never been less than impressed with the often-inventive dishes. I highly recommend starting with their cast iron cornbread. It sounds simple, but it's truly elevated. Right now, the sweet potato brown butter pierogies are absolutely mouth-watering, and the hazelnut bread pudding is rich and a perfect blend of sweetness and cream. The waitstaff is top notch and you'll receive better, more attentive service here than at restaurants with much larger price tags in Atlanta. They also have an impressive cocktail program and wine list. On the "it's the little things" list, the candles 5 & 10 uses in the restroom are outstanding! They sell them and they're spendy, but worth it.
