Really nice place with a warm, cozy European café feel. I came around 1 on Friday and they were only about half full - it's a relatively small restaurant but there's a seating area in the back which makes it bigger than it looks. The narrowness of it adds to the charm, makes it a little more intimate. From my table I could sort of see into the kitchen. I had a cappuccino, L'océane (savoury seafood crepe), and the Far Breton. I liked how the cappuccino was dusted with cocoa powder. The espresso (I had decaf) was a little bitter but in a sort of pleasant way. I didn't see it on the menu, but I asked about non-dairy milks and they do have almond milk, which is what I got. The crêpe was very good! I think I've had some pretty good crêpes but the presentation of this was different from anything I've tried before (fourth time in Montréal but it was my first Montréal crêpe). The scallops and salmon were very fresh and the creamed leek sauce went so well with the seafood. Only two scallops on the regular size crêpe which didn't look like much, but I cut them up and they went a long way. And I loved the lacey texture and flavour of the crêpe! I came for the crêpe but was also really excited to try the Far Breton. I love custardy desserts like this! The prunes at the bottom were cooked to a syrupy consistency which was so good. My waitress was very nice and always came by at just the right time to fill water or take my order. My drink and dessert came out pretty quickly, the crêpe took a bit longer. I might've started to get impatient if it had taken any longer than it did, but as it was I think the wait time was acceptable - they're a small kitchen and making crepes can be time consuming.

Came here for the buckwheat crepes as it was highly recommended online and it definitely held up its it's good reviews. Cute little neighbourhood that it's located in as well. I ordered the la oceana while my husband got the la nordique crepe. There is an option to do either regular or grande size depending on how hungry you are which is nice. The oceana crepe comes with scallops, salmon with leeks inside the crepe. The fresh scallops were definitely my favourite part of this meal. The nordique had smoked salmon with spinach and dill cream which was also super yummy - the dill cream added a nice flavour punch to it. Finished it off with some creme brûlée for dessert because you can never go wrong with that choice in Montreal! Would love to try some more flavours here including the ham and egg crepes, the cheese crepes and of course the sweet crepes as well. It's a pretty small place so you may need to wait a while if you come with a large group and again wait for the crepes but definitely worth it!

I had a savory crepe -- it was bland and somehow even looked unappetizing. Pretty much the only thing I regret ordering in Montreal. I also ordered a latte -- the beans were burnt black over-roasted, and it seemed like someone had sorta added milk to it. No foam or layer. Had to add sugar to make it drinkable. I don't know what to say, it was pretty bad, and I was surprised because the reviews are all good. Maybe it was a rough day in the kitchen. The only plus is that now I have to go back to MTL so I can have a good crepe.

If you want a truly French experience - great food, polite and friendly service, cozy ambiance - this is the place! Buckwheat and regular crepes were wonderful - both savory and sweet options. The flambé crepes are prettier at night but taste equally great during the day. The staff were very friendly, bilingual like in most restaurants in Montreal. Definitely a repeater!

In Quebec it is absolutely necessary that you get some authentic French food and this was place was the perfect weekend brunch spot. Even being in the middle of Quebec we were able to snag a last minute table on a Saturday around noon with no wait! I have had crepes several times and I can't recall any bad experiences, but these were something else. I've always had breakfast crepes or sweet crepes, but the crepe I had here that was topped with scallops and smoked salmon was total different and very good. The crepes here huge and there were so many different options that it made it difficult to choose. Our server was fantastic and helped guide us in the right direction. The food took a little while to come out, but that was expected for how busy the restaurant was. The vibe in here was very fitting - imagine small French cafe in big city. Prices here were also very good and for 2 savory crepes along a with a sweet crepe at a nice place like this it only came out to $45 USD after tip. Our experience here was very delightful and I would definitely recommend if you are looking for something French!

What a delight full little restaurant on st Laurent. If you're craving crepes like I was yesturday than look no further you have found THE crepe place to be. They have a great selection of crepes ranging from sweet to salty. Saturday afternoon is when I decided to check out this great location. I had a feeling it would be busy so I called 30 minutes ahead of time to reserve a table. Upon arrival I was greeted by a very smiley red head woman with great glasses ! The place was pretty busy but it wasn't loud like most other breakfast joints so that was great because I don't like yelling over others just to ask how someone's day is. I was having trouble picking since there were so many possibilities but finally I decided on the québécois which consisted of apples bacon and Swiss cheese. Mmmm ! What a great crepe that was it was exactly what I was looking for, my cravings were met. I suggest this location to anyone who's big on crepes or just wanting to try something different, there's literally a crepe for everyone.

An authentic European café with excellent buckwheat crepes. I went there on a Thursday afternoon at around 2 pm. There was no need to wait in line, but the service was a little slow. It is understandable since there was only one waitress. We had to wait for about 5 minutes to get our water and another 15 minutes for the food. The food was excellent, and I would definitely come back. I highly recommend it if you are nearby and would like to enjoy a leisurely meal. The atmosphere was good.

You can't go wrong with Breizh Café. As a Frenchwoman, I always appreciate an authentic creperie, and this one, on top of being conveniently located in the heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal, is also exquisite. The food is both simple and incredibly tasty - you can technically customize a salted butter buckwheat crepe with a select range of ingredients, such as leek, swiss cheese and maple syrup. The ready-made crepes range from the ubiquitous cheese and ham to the more complex smoked salmon and dill cream. And their sweet crepes are equally delicious - I personally recommend the lemon and sugar crepe. On top of the menu they also have ready-made brunches for every palate. Last but not least, the service is friendly and efficient. They're genuinely lovely, professional people and will go above and beyond to ensure a great culinary experience. High marks all around!

This is probably my favorite cafe in Montreal so far. FOOD All the crepes are thin and well done with a chewy texture and a nice crisp. I got to try a couple from the menu during my 2 visits. My personal favorites are as follow: Meal - La Parisienne (ham, Swiss cheese, bechemel sauce, mushrooms) - the melted Swiss cheese and bechemel sauce inside the warm close phased crepe give a creamy texture. Dessert - Caramel Au Beurre Sale (salted caramel butter) - the crepe is not overly sweet due to the combination of caramel and salted butter. Sweetness is just right for my personal preference. If you are craving for both salty and sweet crepes, La Quebecoise (cooked apple, bacon, Swiss cheese, maple syrup) is not a bad choice either! AMBIENCE The environment was quite nice with some soft background music. Two of the tables are close to the glass sliding doors, which are opened during the day. You can enjoy some sunlight if the weather is nice. STAFF The servers are all very polite and friendly. My family and I visited here 2 days in a row. On our first night, the server was considerate and told us right away when we entered the cafe that the card machine was not working before we were seated. My mom and I were looking for the washroom after our meal and the server told us immediately before we even asked. PRICE Price is reasonable. Crepes range from $5 to $19 before tax (from very plain to ones with scallop and salmon). A person would spend on average $15 including tips and tax (assuming you're getting a classic crepe with protein and a cup of regular coffee).

I wanted to eat a heavy carb déjeuner before climbing Mount Royal. It just so happened I passed this crêperie conveniently located on Boulevard Saint-Laurent. This cafe uses buckwheat flour for their savory crepes in the style of Brittany region of France. You can order the regular or large size crepe. I went for the grande size LA Québécoise (stuffed with cooked apples, swiss cheese, bacon, and maple syrup). Paired with a bowl of cafe au lait, it was a hearty breakfast. This is my go-to place for crepes next time I'm in Montreal.

My husband and I went to Cafe et Crepe for breakfast on our latest trip to Montreal. I got the roast beef crepe ($15.95) which comes with roast beef, bell peppers, cheese, spinach and usually onions, but I asked them to omit it. My husband got the turkey, cheese and egg crepe ($15.95). All savoury crepes come with a side salad. I asked for the dressing on the side and was told that's not possible because the salads are pre-dressed. Bummer because I find pre-dressed salads over-dressed for my tastes and double bummer because the dressing contained poppy seeds, which I can't eat :( Food was not wasted though, my husband ate my salad, lol. The crepes are regular wheat crepes not the buckwheat Breton-style crepes. They were tasty though and I liked that they were not stingy with the fillings. The peppers in my crepe were nicely al dente and were plentiful. The roast beef was deli meat, but there was a good amount. I had a taste of my husband's crepe and it was good too. The turkey was also deli meat. The salad had kale, carrots, red cabbage and corn kernels. My husband thought it was ok. It was drenched in dressing. Service was satisfactory. The ambiance is very casual. There's a television streaming sports. It's in an aged building that it shared with other businesses such as a spinning or was it Pilates (?) studio. The washrooms are up a flight of creepy stairs in the building (you have to exit the back of the restaurant). The place seemed to be popular with tourists. We sat at the front away from the crowds, but the back was full. They also have outdoor seating if you prefer to dine Al fresco. Street parking only, which I imagine would be a pain to find. We were carless on our trip so just walked there. (114)

It's really hard to mess up a crepe because usually the stars are the ingredients inside of the crepe. The cafe in itself doesn't look like much, but it was full of people, and they make a very good crepe here. I ordered something you don't normally see in menus, and that's a mochaccino. Whatever chocolate they use it is fantastic, really good quality. I'm thinking about it in lamentation because I know that unless I make it myself, I probably wont stumble across one as good as that was. Then came the crepe. It had goat cheese, mozzarella, spinach, and egg. So massive that I was already full by the time I ate half of it. It came with this sauce or Dijon dressing that knocked my socks off good. Also tried the sweet crepe and that was amazing as well. What a delightful breakfast before a full day of activities in old Montreal! I'd highly recommend it.
