Drove by and saw a line for this place! By the time we parked and got coffee, the line had shortened a bit and we were seated within 5 minutes! The vibe in here was chill and I really like Asian inspired brunch places! We got the smoked steelhead egg roll (with yuzu cream cheese, capers, onion, arugula, balsamic reduction, choice of potatoes or salad) and the beef bulgogi hash (with two eggs, kimchi, sautéed mushrooms, sautéed spinach, sesame seeds, green onion, sweet chilli sauce). I loved the presentation of both of the items and they were flavorful and delicious! I thought the yuzu cream cheese was unique, but I think my prefer the beef bulgogi a bit more just because that's one of my fav korean bbq meat! Would recommend this place!

This is their second location and we visited on a weekend. The space is much bigger than their Granville location, we went at opening to avoid waiting in line. The staff was friendly and at tentative. All the dishes are Asian fusion. The ube latte had a strong ube flavour and was not too sweet. The hangover was a big plate with waffles and savoury (eggs, bacon) for those that can't decide between savoury or sweet. The Benny's were good and the eggs were perfectly poached. Would love to try the Asian inspired dishes (pork belly or Japanese mushroom Benny) next time.

The place has really good breakfast food which are not really run of the mill. Sometimes I don't like that they change up their menu as what I like will disappear. But that means I get to try new offerings. I don't know what happened to my previous review and pictures. I really like the hot drink with ginger and yuzu but it's gone on my last visit. The place is usually very busy, especially on weekends. Street parking is available. Try everything, it is mostly good.

My boyfriend and I went to Breakfast Table for our last meal on our Vancouver/Seattle trip. There was extensive review of posts from fellow Yelpers, discovery of photos, and a deep dive of the menu items. We ended up coming here due to how it's along the way back to Seattle and that it was highly rated and reviewed while having unique and Asian fusion inspired items. Service was great. We were seated promptly upon entry and showed the QR Code to access the menu. It was peak brunch hour and folks were enjoying their food while chatting away in low volume. The restaurant was 50% upon arrival and slowly transitioned to about 33% once we left. Music was very low with gentle and warm lighting. A lot of thought was put into it's set up. Between the two of us, we ended up ordering 3 dishes and a drink each. My boyfriend got a London Fog while I ordered an iced latte. For my main, I ended up getting the Confit Salmon Salad. It felt like a good having some greens after having more carb-heavy dishes the previous days of our vacation. We also shared the Coffee Glazed Pulled Pork Benedict, as we wanted to try an additional item and he also got the Chicken Kara-age Hash. The food arrived promptly and were the perfect personal size. The 3 dishes and 2 drinks ended up being the perfect amount for us. I have to say that his Chicken Kara-age was amazing and it ended up making me wish I got that delicious savory entrée. The Benedicts were great, although only the pulled pork really shined. The servers were helpful and friendly, making sure to look after our beverages (refilling water, asking if we needed another drink, and taking away our empty glasses) without being too aggressive. So yes, I would be down to try this again. They have so many other interesting Asian Inspired offerings that I would love to try.

For all the great reviews, I was really expecting something at least decent. I was shocked. Good things first, the price was reasonable and the staff very pleasant. The ambiance is great, with plenty of space and comfortable, clean seating. I ordered an iced Americano, and while it was too dark for my liking, it was pleasant. Onto the food. The chicken and waffles were simply not good. The chicken itself was fine, but the yuzu sauce was strange (perhaps too salty?) and definitely didn't mesh well with the waffle. The waffle was also a huge miss, as it was very doughy and dry--I could not finish it. Oh and there's cheese on it? I don't know what the reason for that is, but personally it was a bad combination. The steelhead trout was a mess. The fish was fine, but that's just a small portion of torched raw fish--you can't mess it up. The sushi rice, which made up the majority of the plate, was clearly day-old and literally hard. I thought the sauce was good, despite it having an overpowering amount of liquid smoke in it. The mushroom benny was probably the best thing of the bunch, but it too was far from good. The sauce was a Bearnaise, which was interesting for a benedict given its thicker texture but the flavor was good (very tarragon forward). The amount and variety of mushrooms were also good. The potatoes were decent, but tasted either old or too greasy--something I'd expect at a lower-priced diner than a fancy brunch bar. Perhaps a more classic Benedict would have been better.

Service is great !! Friendly staff . Their menu is quite interesting . We tried few item and they are all savoury . Dining area is well put up that is not congested

Dropped by for breakfast and tried the omelette -- fluffy, well-cooked, and paired nicely with toast and potatoes. The portion was just right, and the quick, friendly service made for a smooth start to the day. The cozy atmosphere adds to the charm, making it a reliable spot for a no-fuss, satisfying breakfast. Definitely will come back

So we were actually going to a different restaurant but walked in here by mistake. I'm so glad we did! I got the Spicy Korean Pork Bowl and it was delicious. The rice was crispy, the pork was tender and the kimchi added some delightful texture. My only complaint is that is could be more spicy. When I come back to Vancouver I will definitely be back.

A great brunch spot addition to Steveston Village (see my review for pix) - Breakfast Table. I have tried the Vancouver location when it was on Broadway awhile back, & that location has since moved onto Granville St @ 14th Ave. This location in the village is bright, spacious & welcoming. Our server was polite & attentive. Goodness gracious, I really loved the taste of my Miso Salmon Benedict 100%! Was tempted to get the seafood benedict but at the last minute was urged to get the salmon instead. I absolutely did not regret it. I can't wait to have it again. I sampled the Pork Belly but found it to be too rich for me. Overall everyone left full & happy. Please note - first come first served = no reservations taken. If you're new to this area, look for Starbucks - BT is close by.

Oh my goodness, what a gem!! We saw the name and thought good enough because we needed breakfast! It ended up being an amazing restaurant!! The servers were really friendly and energetic. I ordered the London Fog tea and their home made vanilla made it extra AMAZING!! Also shared dishes with my family and the salmon with potatoes and garlic miso sauce was soooo good!! I forgot the name of it but you can refer to my picture. Highly recommend this place and I already want another London Fog!

My friend and I love to have weekend breakfast/brunch together, but often times our schedules don't work. So on this Remembrance Day long weekend, we were able to find a Saturday for us to hang out. She had heard of this new place that opened up so we decided to check it out and it's nice to go on a post-meal walk around Steveston too. We were seated quickly and they had physical menus or by QR code. The place is quite bright with large windows. We had a tough time choosing what to get because everything looked so good. I settled for the coffee crusted pork belly benedict and a ube latte with oat milk. I was intrigued by espresso béarnaise sauce, but unfortunately the coffee flavour was way too strong and overpowering, I couldn't really taste the shallots at all. I tried my friend's hollandaise sauce and it was way too sour, probably the most sour hollandaise sauce I've ever had. We both asked for medium eggs and they were definitely soft. The roast vegetables was an interesting side choice and I enjoyed them. The hash potatoes were a bit under seasoned for my friend. For drinks, I found the ube latte to be very pretty, but too sweet, possibly because I asked for oat milk and not regular milk. My friend got the London fog and thought they didn't steep the tea long enough so it was quite mild. Given the many other brunch places in Richmond, I'd probably not come back.

Breakfast Table Steveston is a nice additional to Steveston for breakfast/brunch opportunities. The staff informed us they opened about 1.5 months ago and their other location is on Granville Street (which is always busy and with line-ups). No line-ups here. My two friends and I walked in and got immediately got a table. They don't take reservation, so first come, first served. For brunch, I has the Teriyaki Loco Moco with rice which was very tasty and very filling. Pork instead of beef patty and elevated with pineapple salsa instead of the typical Hawaiian gravy. The quality of the rice used was very good. My friends had the Pic-a-dilly Caesar and Beef Bulgogi with fried rice and she stated the drink was good but the beef bulgogi was one of the best dishes she ever had. Listed it as her top 20! The flavours and spices hit the perfect note. I had a taste and it was flavourful and reminded me of a friend's mom's home cooking. The other friend had the Chicken Karaage Hash and said it was also very good. Comfort food elevated.. All the staff made us feel welcomed and appreciated. Never felt rush to eat and leave and even enjoyed a second cup of coffee. Beautiful décor and relaxing atmosphere. The chairs were very comfortable. All in all, we look forward to coming back.

Love this brunch spot! I am really into Asian inspired breakfast / brunch and their menu does not disappoint. Food is delicious and portioned well (no leftovers but you won't leave hungry) I'm in love with their ube latte - it's so comforting to drink on a wet and cold rainy day. Items I've tried: chicken karaage hash - nice and crispy! crispy fried pork bowl - love the red Thai curry mayo, asked for extra to mix in with the rice, yummy! savoury french toast - decadent and full of flavour, loved how the sweet balsamic goes with the cheese and prosciutto challah french toast - with brûlée banana, perfect dessert or breakfast!

The clam chowder had a decent amount of large clams in it, the texture and creaminess was good. I did feel the base or soup stock used was a tad light for my liking as I wasn't catching the essence of clam chowder flavor. Other wise it was ok. Maybe a bit light on the meat, as it was buried by the arugula and pickled shallots, so seemed unbalanced, but overall tasted great - Seafood Linguini: Mixed. Linguini was good. Scallops were really good and tender. Mussels were tiny. Red snapper was tough and dry. As a dish, it was OK, but could be better. Seafood is seasonal, so I'd think they would be better off rotating what seafood is used. - LuLu Island: OK. Same issue as the linguine. Prawns were fine. Mussels tiny. Red snapper wasn't enjoyable. The rooms are clean, spacious and come with room-darkening shades- yay! The bed was soo comfy, and the bathroom was spotless. I'm unsure if I'll be anywhere in the VC area in the future, but if I do, the only hotel I'll he staying in is the Steveston Hotel!

Check in (and out) was simple, pleasant, and efficient. Parking is included in the room; just give them your plates and your description of your car, and you're good to go for the entirety of your stay, and beyond; when we asked if it was okay to remain parked there after checking out, while we wandered about the town a bit, we were informed we were cleared to remain parked there for two more days(?!). Overkill, but hey, nothing to worry about then, eh? Our first room, a spacious affair that included a King-sized bed and a massive jetted tub (in addition to the shower in the bathroom) my wife affectionately called the "Honeymoon suite". The bed, pillows and sheets were incredibly comfy, and we both slept well (the same was true of the bed in our second room). The tub, spacious enough for two (or more?! *wink wink*), never lacked for hot water. The room itself was clean, if sparsely and somewhat cheaply furnished; the bathroom similarly spotless, but better appointed. However, there were definite signs of age and wear evident on the walls, window sills, cracks and crevices, all somewhat inevitable in a building as old as this. My wife and I aren't picky, using hotels almost exclusively for sleeping and bathing, so as long as things are clean and tidy, little nitpicks like this do not bother us. I couldn't get the AC unit on the wall to respond to the provided remote at all, though, so we settled with opening the windows to cool the room down at night. We are unbothered, and even enjoy, the sounds of night life activity, and as there is a restaurant/pub ALSO attached to the hotel/cafe, on the other side of the liquor store, there was plenty of activity outside into the wee hours of the night. However, one thing that should be mentioned, even if it did not affect us directly: since all of the rooms are upstairs, one wing of the hotel runs along the 3rd Avenue side of the building, and as such, some of the rooms lie directly over said restaurant/pub. This means that the rowdy drinkers, DJ and karaoke caterwaulers can be heard clearly in these rooms, and the hallway, until closing time, which is 2:00am on the weekends. Now, our room was in the corner furthest from the pub, so we didn't hear a thing while inside, but even opening the door into the hallway, the source of the noise was unmistakable, and I imagine that light sleepers, and those easily perturbed, would not be able to ignore it. It would bother my wife and I, but we're...a different breed of weirdos. As for the café itself, open only for breakfast, brunch or lunch, was serviceable without being remarkable in any way. Think Denny's, Shari's, or the Canadian equivalent of either, and there you have it. As I said before, we only ate there once; we moved on to the Cannery Cafe down the street, and other places, on the following mornings. All things taken in consideration, the most important aspect of the Steveston Cafe & Hotel (as a hotel, anyway) is location, and with few other marks against it (at least in our opinion), my wife and I agreed that we would definitely stay here again during a future visit. If you appreciate its many conveniences, while also accept its many quirks, you'll probably enjoy your stay here as much as we did...provided you can shut out, ignore, or appreciate the noise. If you can, the comfy beds here will guarantee a good night's sleep!
