We stopped here on our way out of town from Boy Scout Camp Bovay. Service was fast and our waitress was polite. "The daily breakfast" is a lot of food for under $6, and the blueberry pancakes have real whole blueberries in them. It's easy to drive by; if you pass the EMS vehicle parked next door, you've gone too far. read more

Naming your place "Breakfast Paradise" requires some confidence -- not misplaced in my estimation. Yelpers guided us to Hempstead after crapping out on a shinier place on 290 near Chappell Hill. Tiny town, cozy restaurant, good honest food at a good price. Staff handled a party of 10 with ease, despite a small kitchen. Service sizes were ample and service was Texas Friendly. Our group ordered a range of breakfast dishes -- all were delivered fast and tasted great. No problem accommodating an egg-eating vegetarian. The food is good; HOWEVER... and this is a big deal for me... the plates the food is served on have been ICE COLD every time. They serve on very thick heavy duty ceramic plates which when cold zaps the warm goodness right out of your food in literally 2 - 3 minutes. We don't go here any more simply because we prefer to eat hot or at least warm breakfast. read more

Found this little place while traveling to the Texas Festival. Saturday morning, lots of folks in there, more came in after we were seated. There were seven of us, (and some of us are pretty picky eaters,) And we all loved our meal. From chicken fried steak and eggs, biscuits and gravy, stuffed French toast, Migas, hash browns, eggs and pancakes... It was so good. We left full and happy. We were in town for jellystone, and decided to come here for breakfast. Family of seven yet the food still came fast and was hot and delicious! Two of the teens got cheeseburgers and homemade fries and said they were awesome, everyone else got breakfast- hubs got Migas and said they were spicy but really good, the hashbrowns, eggs, biscuits, gravy were all spot-on, best pancakes and hot syrup ever! read more

After weathering yet another torrential downpour in Texas, I found myself in Hempstead, in the early morning, and craving a breakfast burrito. I scoured the streets, searching for an open eatery and stumbled upon Breakfast Paradise, a quaint, friendly establishment filled with regulars. I quickly ordered a breakfast burrito stuffed with egg, avocado, beans, and cheese. My coffee was exactly how I expected it to be, black and hot. My burrito, although lacking in seasoning, was freshly made and I rather enjoyed the crispy crunch of the seared tortilla. All-in-all, given the choice of McDonalds down the street or this place,... Ordered a poblano burrito with sausage. Received a vegetable mix wrapped in egg with sausage on the side. Would have sent it back but didn't want to keep everyone waiting. Met family members there as central location between Sommerville, Houston, and The Woodlands. It was good eating though. I was surprised when I asked the waitress about the poblano order that she thought that was what she was looking at. I ain't Latino but I know a pepper from an egg. read more

I missed breakfast at home this morning, so I Yelp'd a substitute. This little gem is located off the Hempstead stretch. Anyways, the food is relatively inexpensive and the coffee was fresh. I got the Supreme Paradise Omelet and I wasn't disappointed. Very flavorful. I'd recommend it. read more

Always hot, fresh, and tasty. Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. The pancakes and omletes are delicious. I also love their taco platter. There is limited space for large groups but the food is delivered quickly and I have never had to wait for a table. read more

Great service, cute place, but there was no running water, and I was told I could not have a glass of water...yet others were served ice water. We met some family here for breakfast and enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere. This is a small restaurant in a small town with parking right on the street. I had pancakes and hash browns that were delicious. They were very generous with the butter and syrup. The waitress was attentive and constantly refilled our water and coffee. Service was quite fast.
