Came here for a birthday celebration, it was literally the best group activity for us! A few tips: 1 . Definitely make your own playlist to play on the speaker they have in the room. 2 . I had a little difficulty contacting someone about bringing an extra person (reservations have 5 people max), but they were very flexible and allowed the 6th person. I can see why it's 5 max. The room is small and less people means more room to rage! 3. Definitely were clothes that cover everything, if you plan to shatter everything to glitter like we did, protect yourselves! Here's an honest review of Break Stuff Scheduled an reservation online this past week for a Sunday 1230pm and was fairly easy. Asks for a $5 hold on a card for your reservation which is fair. Arrived on time and waited 5 min for the party before me to get done, was provided construction gloves and a face shield. I also brought my own gloves to wear under the gloves for safety sake, had goggles but got hot so decided to take them off and just wear the face shield. As for attire, jeans and closed toe shoes for sure, preferably high socks. As for the top they okayed me to go in with my long sleeve but wish I wore a thicker long sleeve for safety. Caution: glass will be flying around and will also bounce on the walls and have a high potential of hitting you back. I got nervous mid way through after I felt a piece of glass hit my neck. Hoodie would definitely be best for next time but it does get hot in there as you're using your energy to break stuff along with the wood walls, no insulation in there so just a heads up. You get to play your own music beforehand so I suggest making a playlist before hand. I got the 50 bottles for $100 package and was worth it, would I go again? Nahhhh don't think so but it was a definitely fun first and last experience. The risk for safety was just a bit much for me with the glass flying around lol read more

This rating's for the service we got there. Me and my friend were late to our session but the owner still let us get the full 20 min plus extra time for us to take pictures. Before our session he also texted me a pic of what the location looked like since they had just moved so that was thoughtful You're able to bluetooth your music to the speaker inside, which made it fun and more of a personal experience. The sledgehammer was awesome and the 20 min were a good amount of time for us to finish everything To be honest I probably wouldn't pay full price for the experience, it's a little overpriced, but the owner was really kind and generous in helping us with our groupon and it cut the price down a lot. This is the absolute most fun my sisters and I had! All 3 of us have been stressed and overwhelmed with life and when we left we all felt so relaxed and zen once again. We chose the all you can break package which was 30 min a case of glasses and 4 electronics for $125 and it was PERFECT. I was able to Bluetooth into the speaker in our room so that really sets the vibe. Lastly the owner or the boss (not really sure) was super accommodating and sweet you can tell he is super passionate about his business. I cannot recommend this enough! Great price. Great workout. My daughter picked out this place as an activity to do with her friends for her birthday and we were all really excited to get out some of our stress we've accumulated during this shit show of a year. We came on time and was initially greeted at the door by a man with no mask. After seeing our concerned looks he quickly went back and grabbed a mask. Honestly was immediately concerned from that point on. We were not given any hand sanitizer or even asked to wash our hands let alone get our temperature taken. All very basic and standard requirements for anyone operating a business during this time. The guy then goes on to explain "safety" measures to take and mentions that there will be glass flying around and to keep your goggles and gloves on because the group before got cut and bleed. Which is pretty understandable and obvious that can happen in this situation but now were talking about blood and Im curious to how things get cleaned so I ask the guy has he wiped down the equipment. His response is PPE is scarce and hard to come by. Dude we are a year into the pandemic and you literally can buy a canister of bleach wipes, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant spray anywhere! That is 100% lazy cope out answer period. As a small business owner myself whose industry was shutdown 8 out 12 months last year even though I am state board certified in sanitation and invested hundreds dollars into making my business safe for patrons infuriated me that even those most minimal steps were ignored. We drove over 40 miles to get here and it was literally the 1st time my daughter has seen her friends all year so we persevered. So the good part is the actual room is very fun. You can pick your own playlist and just let loose. The room is a bit small for a group of 5 so you have to take turns and be aware of the people around you not to get hurt. But my girls had a blast and that's what made this event tolerable. Finally the last off-putting event came when it was time to pay and the guy announced that my balance was $95 and he hoped I had exact change because he didnt to which my response is that's not my problem. This is your business dude its on you to have change dont expect me to overpay you because you cant provide change. That was just the end of a bunch of weird not very business like aspects of this event. Overall great concept but terrible execution and non existent covid safety precautions. read more

My friend and I went to break stuff in November, and while we enjoyed the experience we believed that there could have been several measures that Esteban could have taken to make sure that our experience was safer during this pandemic. This included Esteban wearing a mask during our visit, having the COVID precautions available online for customer review, and providing clearer and accurate information about what these precautions are. I sent an e-mail to Esteban late in December, and followed up in mid-January. As I have not heard back, I am sharing the e-mail that I sent to Esteban and hope that more safety precautions will be taken. read more

WOW!! We have been waiting for something like this to come around for a while! We bought a groupon and booked our date. We got half an hour, a number of weapons, box of glass bottles, a couple sound systems, and old vcr (which btw cost a couple hundred bucks online now). We got to play our own music from our phone connected to Bluetooth. The light show they have set up when you are destroying stuff is cool and a good addition totally sets the mood! Be ready to sweat! Nothing beats getting your everyday stress out by being able to break stuff. It was a perfect room size set up with random devices, glass bottles, plates and mugs for us to destroy. We got safety PPE that was disinfected but we were able to bring our own safety PPE to use. Also you can bring your own music playlist, but Esteban's choice of music was just right. Ive always wanted to go to a wreck room, but there weren't any places locally. I discovered this place through Groupon and I'm so glad I decided to purchase! I accidentally booked on a closed day, but the owner was accommodating and let us keep the appointment. (Thank you again!!) When we arrived, he was welcoming and quick to the point. Not sure what the hype is all about. Mediocre experience. The room had no ventilation and felt very suffocated . This should be in the open. The glass dust is a major health hazard. The business should provide masks or something that makes sure you don't breathe in the wrong stuff. It's very concerning as this is not regulated and the harmful effects the glass / other dust can have on lungs for someone who is regular. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would...because we never even had the opportunity to actually participate. I called on Monday at 3pm to make an appointment for Tuesday at 8pm for a group of 4. The owner told me that 8pm would be a stretch for them and asked if we could do 7:30 instead. I scheduled the appointment for 7:30pm and went about my evening. On Tuesday at 1:19pm my phone got a message saying "This is a friendly reminder about your appointment at break stuff at 730. Please confirm via text". I did not confirm because I was working and my job does not allow phones out. At 6:02pm I received a message saying "your appt has been taken over by another patron. Please call to reschedule". I called to figure out what was happening and the owner said "yeah...I canceled. I gave you 5 hour and you didn't respond, so I canceled". I argued with him saying that I made the appointment yesterday evening and he never mentioned that I would be canceled if there was no response. Had that been the case, I would have made the reservation under a friend's name knowing that I wouldn't have my phone on me. He was completely unapologetic and ended the phone call with "go to the location in San Diego then" and hung up on me. I then received a text moments later that you can read in the photos I will attach. He continued to argue that it was my fault and took no responsibility or ever apologized sincerely. In the bay area where it takes hours to travel from point a to point b, my friends were already in transit from the city when he canceled unapologetically and without consideration. If he had my number, then he clearly could have called me. I've never felt so disrespected by a business owner. I was incredibly excited about this activity and it actually ended up causing me more stress than anything. My suggestion? Forgo the trip to Break Stuff and find your stress relief elsewhere. read more

Tried annihilation package. Synced phone to play music. We had some good times seeing what was inside of some of the old electronics. Chucking the beer bottles at the wall was challenging to break since they tend to bounce off the wall (its a soft composite and there's a big hole so it has tons of give). I wished there was almost like a big clock or i should have put a countdown on my phone since it was really easy to lose track of time. Also might have been nice if there was a big sweep type broom since the glass goes everywhere and can get stuck in your shoes. Recommend bringing hand sanitizer since the goggles smelled a bit funky. read more
