This cafe is less than a mile from my house. All of my family members love it. The staff is incredibly friendly, nice and hardworking. It's a cute, clean pace. The food is delicious. What a great addition to food in our town. Whenever we need bread, it's easy to get a high quality delicious loaf. Actually, it's hard to just get one! (Molasses flavor in the multigrain is so yummy! Texture & homey taste of the Italian rustic makes it irresistible!) If you go in the morning you can have bread warm out of the oven. Also their cookies and sticky buns are outstanding. I haven't had their sandwiches but they're usually busy for lunch so I'm sure they're good. Very reasonable prices and friendly service too. Lovely ocean view if you want to sit down with your food and stay a while. Great music playing too. read more

I had a delicious "Handcarved" Roast Turkey sandwich. It was delicious. The homemade bread was fantastic. There was a nice greens salad and chips. That was the good part. It was almost $12. No one handcarves Roast Turkey that thin. There were 2 tiny pieces of the thin Turkey. The bread was also about 1/4". Not exaggerating. Not 3/8". The salad was tiny. You're going to have to make up your own mind. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet, so I can't begin to make a suggestion! 2.5 Stars, maybe. read more

The memory of an incredible sandwich here with a side of really friendly service some six years ago drew me back to this cozy cafe.. the faces looked familiar, the atmosphere was a lot quieter, the chairs and tables insides have been put away during the pandemic but what hasn't changed is the incredible sandwich options! I opted for a veggie scramble with cheese - i wasn't entirely convinced how that would get into a brioche and was even more dubious when I was told that my hash browns were part of the sandwich- but omg it was a perfectly packed portion of gooey goodness! I wish I'd snapped a pic but I didn't want to waste a minute diving into this marvelous creation! And what could get better than this loaded brioche - biting into sitting on the beach and looking at out at the ocean on a crisp November afternoon - a Slice of heaven in hull! read more

O.M.B. (OH. MY. BREAD.) Seriously? This incredible bread is hiding out in a little storefront in Norwood???? Be still, my bread loving heart!!! Apparently, Breadbasket opened years ago as a little café, then transformed into a wholesale bakery (I believe they supply the bread for Stephanie's, among many others in the Back Bay and downtown) and are now re-opening the café and you can walk-in for this unreal bread. I just tried a loaf of the multi-grain and it is perfection: dense, chewy...... mmmmm. read more

We were at the dealership on rte 1 and looked on Yelp for a decent place to eat. Based on the reviews we went to Breadbasket Bakery and Cafe. We split two sandwiches (each served with chips and tasty side salad): - roasted portabella mushroom with roasted red pepper, carmelized onion on foccacia - fresh mozzarella & beefsteak tomato with walnut pesto dressing The foccacia was moist and chewy with crusty underside, the vegetables - roasted to perfection, all the flavors worked great together. You can tell this is not your average sandwich shop...the owner used to be a chef (and that shows)...and nothing can "make or break" a sandwich like bread...and their bread sure "made it"! I only wish I lived closer so I could frequent them more often...but it is worth close to an hour drive to truly enjoy the food...and savor every bite. Amazing coffee, amazing service, great atmosphere... I had a few fresh baked treats and everything was really mindblowing. We ordered two sandwiches. The bread (brioche and focaccia) was fantastic (5 stars) but the sandwiches as a whole were 3 stars.

While the food is good, the customer service and attitude of the staff and owner are awful (except the young woman at the counter). It's a small, casual cafe with tables for 4 or 2. We had a 8 so we slid a nearby table over to make one larger one so we could eat together. Note: the table was RIGHT theRE, the shop was not busy at all, other tables were available, plus we were in a corner out of the way. No disruption to the business at all. After waiting over 20 minutes for 2 breakfast sandwiches, I went to the counter to ask about them. One of the cooks was EXTREMELY unhappy that we'd moved the table and was nasty when he asked if we'd moved it (yes, I said) and when were we going to moved it back (when we get the meal we've been waiting 20 minutes for I answered). As we were leaving I called the owner over to tell him about the rudeness of his cook. In the middle of my explanation he interrupted me and said "Did you ask? You should ask. It's my place not your living room". Ok, I said and walked out. Now he's right - it IS his place but I've been in LOT of little cafe's like this all over the world. People always move tables (ever been to Panera or Starbucks near lunch?). Their response was rude and showed a real lack of understanding of how to serve their customers. He could have handled that in a much more customer friendly way (like a sign that says "Please ask before moving tables")but now he's alienated 8 people, at least.l Definitely don't go with more than 4 people or just don't go. Honestly, five stars doesn't feel like enough. The breakfast sandwiches are hearty comfort food. Not greasy, just right and satisfying. Wouldn't recommend running a marathon after the banana/nutella french toast with maple syrup. Of the two though, do the marathon another day and get the toast. Coffee is always fresh, well-brewed. The chocolate bread pudding... any of their sandwiches (I've tried most, multiple times)... I've also been here enough to notice they treat everyone wonderfully, regular local or out-of-towner passing through. Everyone gets the same down-to-earth/salt-of-the-earth welcoming service. I work in the area and I've heard so many positive things about this sandwich shop that I thought I would try it. Walked in at about 1:45 waited about 5 minutes for someone to wait on me. As I started to order my food I was told they were no longer doing lunch that they were closing because they had been swamped earlier. . I feel they should've told me as soon as I walked in or there should be a sign on the door at least. Serve someone that has been waiting. I'm all for supporting small businesses but this place ...You walk in and don't feel welcomed when you get a look from the cook. I've been here a couple if time and this guy always have an attitude. The kids at the register is fine just doing their job but the cook is really not nice. I went to pick up my order and gave the cashier my name he turns to the cook to let him know the name on the order and the items in the order, his response was 'it's in the bag' and just looks annoyed. no sh*t.. But which bag? He just makes you so unwelcomed that is really not worth it. There are plenty other better breakfast places. read more

Came here for breakfast and it was so delicious we had to come back for lunch the same day. Coffee ice cubes in iced coffee was an unexpected / amazing touch. What a gem. Went here early morning on a last day at Hull. Greeted warmly by the gentleman manning the register. Friendly and attentive conversation. Got two delicious sandwiches as well as a berry iced tea. Husband asked for ketchup which they didn't have. Cook said he wouldn't need it, and she was right!!!
