I was really disappointed with my experience at Weinberg's Bakery today. I was there with my six-year-old nephew, and while we were waiting in line, he couldn't stop staring at some of the employees because their shorts were so revealing. I have no issue with people dressing how they want, but this is a family bakery, not a nightclub. Families with young children shouldn't have to feel uncomfortable while buying breakfast or pastries. The food may be good, but the atmosphere wasn't what I expect from a neighborhood bakery. Unfortunately, this will be my last visit. I hope management considers a more family-friendly dress standard for their staff. Said by many signed by one. read more

Cute little spot! Went on a rainy Sunday late morning. Wasn't too busy. Sat at the window high top and watched passersby. Friendly service. Bagels delicious, fresh cream cheese. I am a bit of a smoked salmon snob, and this just ok for me. It was cut a bit too thick and had gristle, but the bagel and cc excellent. I took 1 star off merely bc of the salmon. The chocolate croissant was good but no doubt it would have been better heated. The main attraction was the seasonal pumpkin moose cake square. This photo does not do it justice. This place is a favorite amongst locals, for good reason! There was a line when we came in on a Sunday morning, but it was worth the wait. The bagels and pastries are fantastic! I was biking through the area and decided to stop by for a quick bite. Weinberg's is your typical local café, with a neighborhood vibe. The staff was really friendly and seemed to be happy to be there. The shop had a decent selection, with baked goods, sandwiches, and bagels. All the pastries looked delicious! This bakery was amazing. Everything in the case looks amazing. the first day got the breakfast sandwich with their homemade bagels out standing. I even took some bagel to bring home. The berry hibiscus ice tea was slamming, had it a couple days in a row. Also tried the cookies and croissants. The service was great. Weinberg's is our go-to spot for bakery items when visiting Hull! We always get the cannolis and lobster tails, which are absolutely fantastic. We also make a point get lunch here at least once a trip. This year I had the Caesar sandwich, which was a large portion and delicious. To top it off, we love the staff! Weinberg's was our South Shore go-to for lobster tails. There were no cannolis or lobster tails in the case this morning. They had a good variety of coffee flavors and moderate amount of baked goods today. I ordered a fig square and luckily I checked before we drove away. There was a raspberry square in the bag without a waxed paper square. A different worker at the counter rectified the mistake and folded wax paper over the fig square, although I had not mentioned it. The delicious fig square had a nice balance of fig and crust. The pumpkin raisin muffin was soft and flavorful. The disappointing initial service and lack of our favorite baked goods left us wondering if Weinberg's had another change in management/ownership. read more

We visit here 1-2x/month on average. Food is great, as are the lime rickies... as long as you're not in a hurry. The service area isn't set up in a good flow, so it's not efficient and the staff is always stepping over each other. There's one younger female with a partially shaved head that is always SO nice and really helpful... the rest of the staff has no sense of urgency whatsoever. Weinberg's Bakery has an old faded blue sign and is shaded by a red and white striped awning. Inside they have counter seating set along each the window in addition to a couple of tables. The rest of the interior space is occupied by the service counter lined with tasty treats to entice the eyes. If it is too constricting inside and the weather allows, several metal tables set with chairs line the sidewalk. One friend ordered a shake for about $4. We watched them make the mango mania fruit smoothie by filling a plastic cup clear full of ice, and pouring an orange mixture to fill the nooks and crannies. So much ice! - she thought. Then they whirled and poured, and she sipped - Not enough ice! It was thick like lassi, and a bit strong for her, but I liked it. As for me, I satisfied my craving with a $4.50 lobster tail - which, despite having been sitting prefilled, was crisp shell stuffed full of a cool sweet thick cream. It was good! But it seemed smaller than those of Modern Pastry which I picked up for $4 back in 2012, though admittedly, unlike Modern, they are not located across the street from a direct competitor. A nice treat after a day at the beach! Credit cards accepted, and we were allowed to use their oddly designed bathroom out back. read more

We are lucky to live in Hull and have such a great bakery right here in our hometown. Born and raised in Hull, as a young boy waiting for the school bus, and getting their famous gingerbread man to snack on before school. What a lot of people may not know, is that two former Presidents had Secret Service men go there to pick up pastries and bagels! Val the owner is amazing, and her staff are excellent. Lots of freshly brewed flavored coffees always on tap, and delicious bagels. They also make amazing lunch sandwiches and wraps! A must try! read more

A nice throw-back bakery walking distance to the beach. Not fine dining, but decent sandwiches, Good baked products (lobster tails are great as are the fig squares). Coffee is OK - but a lot of variety. Since this is a neighborhood gem, the staff can get chatty with the regulars (there are a lot) so you just have to be patient while on line. Sandwiches and wraps are always fresh. The prices are reasonable. I always get a pastry for after lunch, and I am never disappointed. My husband likes the coffee here, but I don't drink coffee, so I have to trust his judgement. The turkey basil sandwich is good (very good), Caesar wrap and Mediterranean wrap are also good. Today, I tried their roast beef on a toasted asiago bagel with a small amount of chive cream cheese, lettuce and tomato and cheddar cheese- it was incredible!! If you have food allergies beware. I've never seen them clean the bagel cutter, so every bagel we've ever had is loaded with pieces of bagels they've cut that day. Talk about disgusting!! The staff acts as if their doing you a favor when they wait on you. Most times the line is ridiculous do to the staff chatting it up with one another, God forbid you ask them to clean the spreader they use for the cream cheese. It was wiped down with a filthy cloth. The muffins and pastries are average and if you walk by the back of the store on your way to the post office in the morning, you will see the empty bagel boxes. This is the best and truly the only good place to grab a quick breakfast in Hull. I have been coming here for years and have always had a great experience. Their bagels are excellent (especially the smoked salmon and cream cheese). They have a large variety of hot coffee flavors which is a huge plus. If you are interested in pastries they have an amazing selection of pastries and deserts too. Get off the main strip in Nantasket and make the trip down to Weinberg's. I also ordered an ice latte and I returned it when I saw the girl pour what was apparently premade espresso into a cup. That's not how that works....the muffins looked good. Lorelle was right about the lobster tails! Thank goodness I read the review on mobile yelp and knew what to get. The thing was 5 stars! I couldn't get over how good it was. The filling was decadent. Not the pudding kind I was expecting, more like a creamy mix of cream cheese whipped with sweet cream. The tail part was crispy pastry with chocolate drizzle. I felt guilty downing the whole thing, then I was pleased to see there were larger tails on the bottom and mine was only a mini size. To go I got 2 cupcakes, a vanilla and chocolate. The cupcakes were 3 stars, average bake shop tasting. Clearly the lobster tails are the way to go! Service was peppy. The lady working there liked interacting with customers.
