Great Italian and Steak & Cheese subs, nice people as well... also many italian pastas.

This review is for their Chicken Salad Sub only as it's the only thing I've ever gotten here (because it so damn good!) The chicken salad is incredibly fresh with good chunks of white meat chicken and is a generous portion (I usually get the small.) The sub rolls they use are equally fresh. It's a really outstanding tasting sub -- the best that I've ever had! If you want to kick it up a notch and make it otherworldly (in a way that only chicken salad can be ;-) ask for it "buffalo-style" (that is, with buffalo sauce mixed in.) It really is excellent! read more

Wanted a sub sandwich saw this place as I was driving by. Did not disappoint! Got the Amari a sub and ate the whole darn thing! I will be back when passing through town again. read more

Yummy cheese steak subs. Nice clean place. Very nice staff My husband got a Roast beef sub and loved it. Great sub rolls. read more

Second time I was charged $14 for a sub. Both times when Victoria was at the grill. Does she think she's related to Katz Deli?? I won't be going there again. Lg. pastrami, fried onions, Swiss, w brown mustard,,, $14. ??? The week before, it was $11 & change. Same with the lg. steak bomb I got tonight. $14 for a sub,,, eff you Victoria, I won't be back Happy New Year read more

The steak & cheese...wow!! I've heard good things and I'm happy to report that this sub lived up to the hype! The steak is tender as can be and just melts in your mouth. There is plenty of melted cheese throughout the whole thing (which doesn't happen at a lot of places). The bread-to-meat ratio is just right with plenty of steak as they definitely don't skimp on ingredients here. This sub was a special treat. I would absolutely recommend checking it out! read more

Read some reviews about the steak and cheese so wanted to see if the hype stood up...it ABSOLUTELY did! That sub was FIRE! Super soft roll, packed to the gills with tender and flavorful steak and cheese (and mayo of course) So big I split a 6" with my husband and we were both happily satiated. Friendly staff as well - this was our first visit since moving to Hull a couple months ago, and now I know we'll be regulars! read more

Staff was cool, they took our order right away and we were out the door in 10 minutes. I got a steak sub with cheese n peppers it really hit the spot after driving all day. They've got beer, sodas and bags of chips as well. read more

First off this place has great food. However if I were the owner/manager I'd be losing my shit. A: Their website said that they close at 7pm. We called in at 4:20pm and they said that they actually close at 5pm. B: We called in at 4:20 and they said that they wouldn't make our order because they wanted to leave at 5pm. Their excuse was that they turned off the grill... but wouldn't make cold subs either. You lost out on a $100 order because your staff decided to go home rather than make 6 subs. Grrrr! read more

Took a bite of my husbands steak cheese and mushroom which was absolutely excellent! One of the best we've had. Served hot with the cheese nicely melted throughout. Good size highly recommend! The Italian had a mixture of fresh vegetables in a delicious dressing that took it to another level. Little bit of heat and very flavorful. I could only eat half of it and saved the other half for about an hour later. Definitely going to make this place a regular! read more

The sandwiches are better than great. The portions are huge. The prices are comparable to other delis in the area. But the woman who works evenings reminds me of Yzma in "Emperor's New Groove" (...scary beyond reason). She's angry the minute she picks up the phone and continues to be rude until you walk back out the door. However, their sandwiches make Victoria's worth the visit. read more

Today is my birthday! So my husband planned a day to take me to try two sandwiches places and decide which is the best. I'm happy to say that victorias won our vote for best Italian grinder in the area. It's loaded with toppings and the meat to cheese ratio was perfect and packed favor in every bite. I will say not a sandwich to eat in the car but that didn't stop me. So good! read more

Victoria's Sub Shop - Italian with everything including hots - Sandwiches Near Me - Hingham, Massachusetts

Had a test between two sub shops a couple towns apart yesterday , Maria's in Scituate MA and Victoria's in Hingham MA . I ordered a Italian sub cold with everything including hots, from both . Both very similar but I would say Victoria's sub was a little more stuffed with the meats and cheese and veggies, way more flavor in there vegetable relish of diced tomatoes, pickles and onions. No lettuce on a Italian sub must be a Massachusetts thing cuz both places no leafy greens on them . I really prefer sliced vegetables on my Italian sub , because with the relish it just falls out and makes for a messy Italian sandwich . I say Victoria's slightly too the cake for me between the two sandwich shops ! Both in great spots , with quick service and close to the ocean ! I would go back to both but Victoria's will be my first choice ! read more

Victoria's Sub Shop - a sub sandwich with onions, peppers, and meat - Sandwiches Near Me - Hingham, Massachusetts

I had a pleasant experience coming here :) It's such a cute little shop! The subs were delicious. We ordered the cheesesteak and turkey club. We also ordered the pasta with red sauce and meatballs. The workers were delightful and made it a better experience. There are a variety of drinks you can choose from between the bottled drinks and alcoholic beverages. Would definitely come back if I lived around here! read more

Best steak and cheese I have ever had. Must try if you have never had theirs. I'm from north shore and will tell you there is nothing like this steak and cheese over where I live. Awesome job, keep it up fr fr read more

I had gone to Victorias many times in my life and while the food is less than average... the customer service is the worse I've ever experienced. The young kid working in the shop does not look clean with the food and the older women who work there are very crabby. The younger gentleman who they called "Brendan" called my son a slur under his breath because he was wearing a rainbow pride pin on his shirt. He continues to say "not in my store, I won't be having any of that shit." The workers were completely rude and they act like they have to be working there. 0/10 this place needs much improvements read more

The moment I walked into this store.... I knew there was something off. I could tell by the vibes that the workers and customers put off. The inappropriate music started us off on the wrong foot. Next over the loud vulgar music this short man behind the counter started YELLING. I was just trying to think over the loud music that was giving me a headache what I would like. But this man didn't care he just wanted the money and for me to be gone. He then started to make some rude remarks about how I was gay and telling me he doesn't allow that in his store. I have NEVER been discriminated like that before and I most definitely wont be coming back. I recommend you to do the same. read more

Victoria's Sub Shop - Sandwiches Near Me - Hingham, Massachusetts

I really don't care about ambience. I think it's all takeout anyway. The food, subs are really good: Italian, cheesesteak; chicken salad. Salads are good too. It's been a fixture for many years. I don't think we've ever had a bad meal. read more

When I first moved to Hingham 3 yrs ago I reviewed this as ( for Italian sub a 3.0) this is an update. Now that Jersey Mike's ( nice overall make it how you like w great meats) and EuroMart ( great bread and meat) have reminded me of a good Italian sub, I am updating Victoria. This is now a solid 2.4 no better. They need . Less ham, a lot less on the onions, banana peppers, more salami and how about some lettuce option. Bread is standard sub, not no choices like Subway. read more

Sorry to say, but boy oh boy do these folks not understand customer service. After forgetting to include ordered sandwiches in the bag, I called immediately upon arriving home, they insisted they included them and it was my fault. "I saw them in the bag, so I don't know." I swear on all that holy they weren't included! Crazy! Then the Victoria's owner refused to refund my missing order, instead insisting that she had a line of people and couldn't figure out how to process a refund. We never leave the house because my son had a heart transplant. We did on this occasion to celebrate a birthday ... I explained this to Victoria's and her response was "we all have a lot of stuff going on, deal with it". Choose to go here if you want, but my hard earned dollar will be going somewhere that respects their customer, their customers families well-being and lives up to their mistake and makes it right. read more

First off let me start with there was literal hair in my sub, yuck. I walk in to the sub shop and I am greeted with the most horrible customer service. The place smells like the worst BO you've ever smelled. There was this short man working the at the counter on his phone the whole time, and was completely rude. He also said something very offensive by calling a man, and I quote "boss man," and I am non binary. I also think they should start wearing hair nets and gloves, praying his beard hair doesn't get in my food again. read more

Lousy service but decent food.... I tried a few subs here.... fresh food, clean... The tuna salad (which I'm pretty picky about) was very good... as well as the steak n cheese. The manager/owner...??? Unfriendly; appears he needs a vacation but overall a decent place to stop for a bite. read more

Food is great . People working there are just rood . I try to order the phone and it's like if you don't know what your gettin in a mil-a-second ... see you later . Shit or get off the pot . Workers are a little to comfortable there talking the way they talk to customers . And I hate writing these things almost never do read more

Omg! Really?!! De-lish!! I ordered a turkey club sub... the young woman who answered the phone was so rude I almost didn't pick up my order? : ( So glad I did!! this sandwich was -thee best -I've ever had, the bacon was perfection, ( I asked for crispy) the bread, turkey so so fresh/ it really was amazing! if they always served fresh rolls I'd give them a better rating but it's always hit or miss.

The white bag special is the best deal in town if you like hamburgers and you're hungry!

The best subs around, and some of the most unprofessional staff I have seen in food service. On any given day you will overhear them complaining about the customers. The latest shenanigans was when the person who took my order -- and I have a deep male voice -- wrote the female alternate version of my name as who would pick it up. I'm sure you're bored, guys, but clean up your act. As for the shop itself, it's not bad; 3 tables each with 4 chairs. So if you eat there solo, you'll take up a whole table, which is kinda awkward when a group of people are looking at you and want that table. Clue #2 Victoria's: install an area for solo diners to chow down, make it a standing counter or with stools, put it in that cove by the beer. Anyway, tasty food, decent prices, the potato salad in the fridge is outta this world (sans tasty herbs, tho). Get your food to go and give them a bogus comedic name, it'll keep them entertained a little longer. read more

Food is fast and cheap. Came here to grab some subs for a beach day, and they did not disappoint. They have a variety of hot and cold subs, salads, chips, drinks, and even beer and wine. Pretty standard sub shop. Portions are great for the price! The parking lot was bumping, and people were in and out the whole time we waited for our food. Check this place out if you need a quick bite! read more

I do like this this place but four times now I had a hair in my sub.

Good sandwiches. Reasonable prices. Friendly and efficient family of staff. Beer to go. That sounds nearly perfect. I'm (unlike nearly everyone else) not a huge fan of their meatball sub and the "hots" are not hot at all, but this is a good place for a sub or sandwich and we come here a lot on our way to the beach. read more

My husbands family has spent their summers down here for more than five decades and my husband has been eating at Victoria's as far as he can remember. And since I've joined the family, we have been eating here too. The food is delicious. There is nothing better than a steak and cheese on the beach. The missing star? The customer service leaves a lot to be desired. The gals answering the phone are the surliest, most unpleasant food service workers I've ever met. And based on the Yelp reviews in not the only one to experience this. So here's what Victoria's needs to do: Embrace the bitchiness. Make it their "thing." Like Dick's Last Resort or the Wieners Circle in Chicago, they should make themselves known for surly, condescending service, the more insulting, the better. The slogan should be "Victoria's: Where the Only Thing Pleasant Is The Food." Seriously, because the place is near perfect, they need to go for the gold with their already uninspiring service! I'm telling you--gold-mine!! read more

I go here quite frequently, the super steak is made with high quality meat that is sliced on premise. I never a get a piece of fat or gristle. It truly is the perfect steak sub. The meatballs and sauce are homemade and have a great taste and are high quality...... love this place Just had the 5 dollar lunch special which was a double cheese burger which was probably the best I have ever had........came with a can of soda and a bag of chips...... you won't be disappointed eating here... read more

Wow. What an amazing experience. My wife and I were on vacation to Massachusetts and decided to get a sandwich after a local hike we had done nearby. Starting with the food, it was the most delicious sandwiches my wife and I have ever eaten. High quality ingredients. Very fresh. It really makes a difference. What made the visit memorable for us were the Owner, Victoria and her daughter Gina. They treated us like were family members or locals (the ones you love, not the one's you don't). They were so friendly and fun to talk to. We enjoyed talking to them about the area. Gina noticed that I had a piece of carrot cake that I was waiting to pay for. She said, "Don't take that one, get a bigger one, there must be a bigger one." When we mentioned that our trip was being taken in part for my wife's birthday (that day), Gina, actually did a little happy birthday dance and song for us. She clearly loves life and her good natured spirit was infectious. She told me to get another piece of cake, on her, so that my wife and I could celebrate her birthday together. We enjoyed the whole experience and the sandwich so much, that we later went out of our way to return to Victoria's for another sandwich to take with us on our return trip to LA that afternoon. I highly recommend this sub shop. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is small town, warm and very friendly. Great food. Great people. read more
