Southwest Zeppelin
Thuy N.

The young guy that took my order was polite, patient and accommodating. He made recommendations to assist me making a decision. I ended up getting a southwest bread but with some substitutions. He even let me try a sample of the dressing. Also, some bread that was hollowed out. Hey, that is the best of a goos bread to me. Just wanted to review the service provided at my first encounter since other review was not great. As I was the only person in line it was quick. There is another employee that was the cashier.

ALMOST $17.00 FOR THIS!!! This would cost $3.50 at TX Roadhouse lol ‍

This was the most disappointing food experience I have ever had.... I have been to every salad place imaginable in and around Southlake so when my coworkers suggested it I thought it would be like other places... Bread Zeppelin is similar to other places but everything was underwhelming. The chicken was bland, romaine lettuce was wilted and did not seem fresh and the "made in house" ranch dressing was flavorless and tasted like lightly flavored mayonnaise. But as bad as all of that was, the price was ridiculous. I spent over $16 for a drink and my salad which was the size of a side salad from any other restaurant. I actually left hungry. And when I asked the staff if my meal looked like it warranted $16+ they shrugged and said that's what I cost. I literally had Romain lettuce, white cheddar cheese, chicken, a spoonful of corn, and ranch.... That's it. You can see the pic of my feast below lol... Skip this place, roll over to Salada where you will pay less and get plenty of food.

1 drink, 1 chips, and 2 Zeppelins for $30.

Salads are good but it's wildly overpriced and if you order via DoorDash/Uber Eats you're probably not getting everything you ordered.

Ok sandwich. But not for $15. I didn't get chips or a drink, but paid the price of a complete fast food meal.

Ended up throwing the food away. This place needs to have a health inspector take a look behind the counter.

Several years ago, I had my first muffuletta at a sandwich shop in Florida and I thought it was OK, but nothing special. I did not order one from Weinbergers the first several visits because of this and all the other choices we had. My wife and I finally decided to order one to split. The first bite that we took we just looked at each other wide eyed in amazement and said OMG. The reason I decided to write this review is because my wife just texted me and said she is craving a muffuletta. We will probably head there this weekend. We love this place!

Make sure you're prepared when you walk up to the counter-- I thought I was until the dude started rattling off "wet" or "dry" and the list of toppings. I threw up my hands and said "I'm an amateur, this is my first time here!" He slowed it down and walked me through ordering, lol. I went with the Italian beef, dry with the juice on the side. So yummy! I love that it came with a handful of crinkle chips as well. If I was local I'd eat here all the time! The inside is small with a handful of tables and a few extra outside. It was pretty packed on a Friday afternoon!

I've been seeing tons of videos about how great their Chicken Caesar wrap is, so I finally went to check it out. Guess what? They were out of Caeser dressing. That's my luck. My fallback plan was to go with the Spicy Italian on the Striatta bone bread and it didn't disappoint. I went with the Large sandwich and it wad a monstrosity! I added their roasted jalepeno spread on one side and ancho chili mayo on the other to give it an extra kick. This sandwich lasted 2 meals! I picked up a small container of the chicken salad, and I wasn't impressed. It lacked flavor. Now, something that did have great flavor...Carrot Cake! There were so many desserts i wanted to try, but I didn't give into the fat kid inside me. The icing on the carrot cake was light and didn't over power the cake. Although this place is on the pricey side, the quality of food is top notch. Ill be back to hopefully get the Chicken Caesar wrap and that big ole Cinnamon roll!

It was one of those places you just kept going back to because the food was consistently great and it felt like a true Chicago institution. So when Portillo's finally came to Texas, I was thrilled. Let's start with the star of the show...the Italian Beef with hot peppers. It's incredible. Order it dipped and you will be in food heaven. And if you really want the ultimate Chicago move, make it a combo by adding the Maxwell Street sausage. That combination is absolute perfection. Messy, bold, and ridiculously good. Of course, the Chicago-style hot dogs are outstanding too. Just make sure you order it the right way and "drag it through the garden." That means the full lineup of toppings, just like they do in Chicago. It's the real deal. The sides are fantastic as well. The crinkle-cut fries are always solid, and the onion rings are super crispy and addictive. If you're trying to behave a little, the chopped salad is my wife's favorite. It's fresh, loaded with flavor, and honestly one of the best salads you'll get anywhere. And here's the surprise for people who haven't tried it...the hamburger is fantastic. Big, meaty, juicy, and full of flavor. I'll say it plainly. It's better than just about any fast-food or fast-casual burger out there. Bottom line...Portillo's isn't just another restaurant. It's a Chicago legend that delivers every single time. I'm glad Texas finally got the memo.

I came way too late in the day (didn't pre-plan at all haha) so I did miss the brötchen however I got some Bavarian rye & an olive loaf, plus a square of pumpkin spice crumble and lebkuchen. I immediately tried everything when I got home and I am THOROUGHLY impressed. I will be coming back immediately for the brötchen even though I'm quite far! I particularly recommend the olive bread: it genuinely tastes like you have just dipped a piece of great bread in some well seasoned, quality olive oil! Finding this bakery means a lot to me. I used to live in Germany as a child and because my memory isn't great, I mostly have my palate / sensory memory to go by. These flavors brought me right back. I noticed that stollen was being sold but I didn't pick it up just because I wasn't sure about the authenticity. This is not a place you can sit to eat and drink; there is no seating, so expect to purchase and go. I got a country loaf, wheat loaf, and three almond bars for $22. Everything was fresh and delicious. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because I sadly have to agree with some of the other reviews about the customer service. There were two women working while we were there. The younger girl was sweet and friendly, but the older lady was quite rude and unpleasant. Seeing as I had been excited to visit for quite some time, it was disappointing and off-putting to be met with attitude/grumpiness from staff. Ultimately, I can look past it though, as the bread is worth it.
