I'm in love with this bakery! I love Visalia - I grew up here and moved away. When I come back, I remember how much I love my town. This bakery has amazing, fresh, unique and delicious pastries. Almond croissant, chocolate almond croissants, muffins, fresh sour dough bread, sandwiches. I was 2nd in line and the gentleman in front of me let me go first bc he had a big order. Again, people from Visalia are so sweet. How much I love and miss this town! I ordered the chocolate almond croissant, prosciutto with cheese croissant sandwich and a loaf of sour dough bread (from previous day bc fresh wasn't ready until after 10am). The staff is so friendly. They must get annoyed by people who are so happy to see all their delicious pastries. The sandwich was fresh, prosciutto was thinly sliced and gave a nice salty taste. I didn't feel sick or heavy like I have with donut shop "ham and cheese" croissants. The chocolate almond croissant is amazing!!! So fresh, flaky, so many flavors going on and it's huge! This is my absolute favorite! I can't wait to slice up the sour dough and make sandwiches when I get home. I live 3 1/2 hours away so the sour dough may not survive. It smelled so good! Today was the 4th time I've been within the last month. Every time I go, the same person who serves me always has attitude. At first I thought maybe she is just having a bad day, however it's happened every time. She rolls her eyes when I've asked for utensils, when I order, and speaks to me in tone as if she is annoyed. I choose to go here because the product is great and have recommended Bread Savage to my family and friends. We all have bought several pastries(4+) at a time. But I can't continue to spend my money here if it's such an inconvenience. I really hope they talk to her about how she makes customers feel. read more

Such a great place! It makes you feel like you stepped into a shop in Paris. We tried a few savory items the Prosciutto Gruyère croissant sandwich, cheddar pepper biscuit and a few sweet items city muffin, brownie and a a flaky handmade pop tart. Wow, so incredible! You can taste the handmade freshness and quality ingredients! Please go support this local business. My only suggestion would be for them to have a sign out on the street, it can be easy to miss this place when walking by and also perhaps add more coffee and tea's, it would draw in more customers. Hello all, tBread Savage is a neat place right next to Starbx in main. The pastries are so much better than the above mentioned coffee place. Our favorites were a puffed pastry with strawberries and a cinnamon roll. They also have premade sandwiches for lunch if you are in a hurry and need something to eat. Give them a try.!! I am originally from the Bay Area where I have access to delicious bakeries and so I wasn't sure what to expect in a small town like Visalia in terms of bakeries. This place is up there in being one of the best bakeries I have visited. You can tell they put so much love into it and the staff is wonderful. They are inclusive to all people which I appreciate and they really make you feel welcomed. Now to the pastries. They use in season fruits and have a wide variety of pastries. They make danishes, muffins, croissants, and savory pastries too. Their pastries are a little expensive like SF prices, but I believe in splurging for good quality food, so give it a try. Although the food items are always incredible, the service I received today was not. I was excited to take my brother from the bay area there. The clerk who helped us was rude, impatient and acted like it was the last place she wanted to be. My brother specifically asked her about a certain pastry and told her how excited he was to try it. After spending over $60 we left. I had a feeling that she had not put all the cookies we ordered in the bag. I looked and they weren't there. I went back to get them and she was pretty rude. After driving all the way home, I opened the boxes to realize she also didn't put the original pastry we had asked so much about. I called and she was even ruder. She said she didn't have a confirmation. We had an ENTIRE conversation about tasting it! Because I did not take my receipt I have no idea if I was charged for the items I did not receive. A welcomed addition to Visalia and they've got the line of people to prove it! I absolutely love this bakery and everything it has to offer. My mom and I have gotten an array of goods during each visit and haven't been disappointed. The fresh baked baguettes? Nothing better breaking them apart and watching the steam rise when they've come straight out of the oven. With butter or jam? Chef's kiss! We mainly come for the pastries though and there's no wrong choice; BUT, the strawberry pop tarts with jam filling and strawberry glaze are at the top of my list. The cruffins and danishes are delicious and biting through those layers will send you straight to heaven. I'm still waiting for the day I catch a raspberry royale, but I'm willing to try everything else that's offered until my day comes. Price wise, the goods do come at a premium but that's because you can taste and feel the work, passion, and quality ingredients that go into making everything. Admittedly, I've walked out spending $55 on a box of pastries in one visit and I didn't regret it for a second. Just wish they kept more stock on hand of some of the more popular items since they sell out so fast. Their baked goods are so delicious. Best in the Central Valley in my opinion. I have a few food sensitivities, even to some ingredients used by this bakery, however, I do not react to their goodies. That tells me they use clean from-scratch ingredients; not semi-homemade. It's hit and miss though if they will hold items for you. I guess it depends on the person who answers the phone. I am giving three stars for the mediocre customer service. The gentleman who owns it is great. However, his wife and another woman who work there, no so much. They lack customer service skills. The skills that are crucial to retain customer loyalty. Especially when you are just starting out. It's amazing how simple it is and yet a lot of businesses can't master it. I know lots of places who have a great product but lack in the customer service department. This will make or break your business. I had let him know of my sisters allergies and they were very understanding and accommodating. We were able to place a custom order and it was a treat! Overall super excited to have a new bakery in the Central Valley. My husband absolutely loved his chocolate croissant and decadent brownie.
