We stopped by for some Pan Dulce aka Mexican Bread, cookies, donuts! Yes donuts and the glazed are actually pretty good! I know I didn't have to say "Pan Dulce" but I like saying it and you should too! It's not often you stop at a wonderful Bakery like this. The people are all so friendly, inviting and helpful. Yes some are fluent in Spanish only and that's ok, it really brings extra charm to the place. Every bread, cookie, donut you taste from here is being made with love and recipes dating back years and lifetimes. We finally stopped by and the truck was Open! They have a food truck where they make breakfast and lunch items. They had an Asada Burrito, "which can be made as a breakfast burrito", but I opted for the lunch version. The nice girl taking my order spoke more Spanish than English but I managed to understand "Con Todo" meaning "with everything", that comes with (beans, rice, cabbage, onions, cilantro). It was just ok. The meat really didn't have flavor, nor did the rice and beans. I tasted more cabbage than anything. The salsas were good, it just wasn't enough to carry the overall flavor of the burrito. I would suggest absolutely getting some pastries from here. They have a wide selection and you grab yourself a pan and some tongs at the entrance and have at it. The taco truck I would suggest maybe trying breakfast over lunch, but again my taste buds might differ from yours. read more

Stopped by to get some coffee and couldn't resist but to get some Mexican bread and cookies. They have the cinnamon coffee and hot fresh and ready tamales ready to go. The place was very big clean and welcoming. The owners were actually present which was pretty nice, they were actually making fresh agua which you know is a plus. They have a food truck out side making break burritos and tortas and they even make chilaquiles. Anyways if you're in the area stop by you won't regret it. read more

The selection of bread here has always been in my opinion one of the best in town. What I wish was the location was somewhere else. You can't go in and come out without being harassed with panhandlers outside. Really unfortunate set of circumstances that detracts from the experience. For being awarded "Best Bakery" I don't think it was very professional of the employee to close and lock the door in our faces while we were about to walk in. We weren't aware that the bakery was closing early on New Year's Eve. It would have been much nicer for the employee to kindly just state to us that they were closing early. Probably the best Mexican bakery in town. They have an insane variety. I have never regretted stopping for pastries. Everything is always pretty tasty. If I had to say anything negative it would be the location. Also, it is a little warm in there during the summer. Which is understandable, considering the ovens are always on. But they do keep the air on. I am more than willing to experience a bit of discomfort for good pastries. read more

A cinnamon roll was bought to split with my mother for breakfast during the week and she bought a dessert for herself too. Love going here! They have a huge selection of items and they all look delicious. The pan is always fresh and never tastes like it's been sitting there for too long. Delicious Mexican bread! The sticks (elotes) were amazing and for the one that made to next day tasted just as good! We also got shells (conchas) and cookies which were also great! The bread was warm - just wish I had some butter! We got the cinnamon rolls, which were flakey like a croissant, but they had raisins in them, so I wasn't a fan, but if you like raisins, get them! Called ahead of time. Told me they had cheesecake and flan. Arrived and the cheesecake they had wasn't even what I expected like at least New York style cheesecake and flan couldn't give a small sample to try. Little did they know had they let me try a bit ad it was good I would have bought several of them plus given them a nice tip. Please, if anyone has a business always aim to go the extra mile when someone is dress like they mean business and you can tell they have to spend. I'm giving three stars because of the quality of service and the amount of options that were made available to us. The girls working we're very friendly and there were a lot of options of bread to choose from even later in the day at 3 o'clock. However I love traditional Mexican bread and I have had it from many other smaller places similar to this and even the not so authentic pan from Vallarta. I had heard very good reviews of this bakery from a lot of local people and decided to give it a try, I was so incredibly disappointed once I got home. I got the cream in empanadas and a raspberry roll along with some conchas and other various breads. All of the items that I got were pretty small in size which should've been my first red flag. The breads were very dry and my empanadas were very crumbly and the cream didn't taste very sweet. I'm hoping that I just caught them on a bad day and I hope to return to some better tasting options. read more
