such a cute and delicious spot. Everything looks almost too pretty to eat, but it tastes just as good as it looks. The pastries and treats are always fresh, soft, and perfectly sweet without being overwhelming. The service is also really great--the staff is friendly, patient, and always welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. You feel taken care of from the moment you walk in. They have a great variety of desserts, and you can tell a lot of care goes into each item. The shop itself has a cozy, welcoming feel that makes it easy to keep coming back read more

A Hidden Gem of a Bakery! I stopped in and ordered a pineapple upside-down cake and a coffee, and I was seriously impressed. The cake tasted truly homemade -- moist, flavorful, and clearly baked with care. It's the kind of dessert you can't find just anywhere. The coffee paired perfectly and was fresh and smooth. The staff was incredibly friendly from the moment I walked in, which made the whole experience even better. You can feel the warmth of a family-owned business where everything is made from scratch, and the quality really shows. If you're looking for a cozy local spot with amazing homemade treats, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere, this bakery is absolutely worth the visit. I'll definitely be back! read more

I've tried supporting Sweet Palette Bakery for years, but the experience has been consistently frustrating. Their posted hours rarely match when they're actually open, and I've shown up multiple times to find no hours listed, no clear opening time, and very limited items available. Some products have tasted stale without any communication that they are old desserts (at least notify the client and out it in sale. The prices feel steep for what you get. For example, I paid nearly five dollars for a tiny gingerbread cookie that was rock hard, and the tamales are also overpriced. It's disappointing because the strawberry pizza is good. Overall, the inconsistent hours, limited selection, and high prices make it hard to recommend. read more

I have been going to Sweet Palette over the years loved when they moved by my home. I have always gotten great service. How do you open at 12 and we show up at 1pm and nothing will be out and ready for sale for another 45 minutes? And your cashier sitting there wrapped in a blanket in a food place, yuuuk? Not appealing or appropriate. 5 people walked in and out with any purchase, sure loosing lots of sales. The displays were empty, didn't have a welcome appeal and absolutely no presentation to catch your eye. 2 thumbs down, way way way down. Go to Albertsons or safe mart and get your sweets on. read more

On 4/4/25 I ordered a double burger from here. They gave me spoiled meat that gave me severe food poisoning that left me sick for months. I never posted until now because I believe in benevolence, but I don't want what happened to me to happen to anyone else. I'm not one to order cheeseburgers out anymore. They just don't measure up to homemade. But since Sweet Pallete advertised them with homemade buns, I tried it and it was so good! The burger was cooked through, but still juicy and plenty thick. The cheese oozed out over the top of the burger. You could definitely tell that it was real cheese and not fake cheese slices too. It comes with classic toppings including grilled onions. Although you can ask for it without. The homemade sesame seed buns were a wonderful change to the store bought we're all used to. My only complaint is small and very fixable by the customer.. I thought the burger (and the fries) needed a bit more salt but I know I'd rather have a little less than a little more since it can always be added if needs be. Bottom line: Excellent burger ! It's priced more than your Wendy's, etc but worth it! read more

Walking into this charming place I was surprised how open and spacious the bakery was and the lighting was great. As I approached the counter I was greeted with the friendliest service. My mission was to get a brownie, unfortunately on that day none were made BUT she had many different other delicious variations of wonderful desserts that had my mouth watering. Needless to say she recommended the store's best of the best a smaller version of Strawberry Pie... A cookie version AND BOY OH BOY IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!! I didn't even wait to get home to eat and finish it up in the car! Come one come all and support home town business you won't be disappointed!!! I can't wait to taste the brownies read more

Walking in first looks very dead inside. Not much furniture nor decor besides the flower shop. They always carry the same pastry nothing ever new to choose from. From the size of the display case you would expect it to be fuller than it is, seems lazy to me. What really encouraged me to write this review was after seeing a roach walk away from a cream horn the last time I went in, but extra protein though right ?? read more

Ordered two boxes of the assorted fruit pizzas for a 4th of July event. In preparation they made hundreds of these boxes the night before, so they were fresh. A good fruit pizza takes on the best flavors when it sits overnight in a fridge so the cookie gets soft. Because these were so freshly made, the cookies were very crunchy and did not taste great. I spent $40 on two boxes of very small cookies that none of my guests enjoyed. I spoke with the owner and he gave me a partial refund and let me keep both boxes of cookies which I thought was nice. We had a pleasant chat, and he explained that they would taste better the next day because they were just made. He was right. After sitting overnight the cookies tasted much much better the next day; although, I do think $20 is a bit expensive for such a small batch of cookies that can be easily gobbled up in 10 min I would definitely return to try their tarts and eclairs which I've been told by many locals are excellent. read more

This bakery in Hanford is one of the best finds in Kings County. My little sister always had these strawberry pizzas at parties she had and they were so good. She bragged how she bought them in Hanford. Well I found the bakery she purchased them from. Welcome to the Sweet Palette Bakery. They have chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate eclairs, cream puffs, and my favorite...Strawberry pizzas. Of course there are other pastries but I can't recall all their names. Just buy your baked goods at Sweet Palette Bakery, you won't be disappointed. read more

The sweet palette is very good. I have gotten their strawberry pizza and bierocks. The strawberry pizza is my favorite. The bierock was good but very peppery which seems to be normal for that dish but is a bit much for me personally. The service has always been good for me. It's usually quiet when I go. I tend to get there when they do not have much stuff left so I hope I can make it one day when they have tons of goodies. read more

When i was being handed my box of sweets, i saw 3 live roaches on the floor and 1 on the wall. i rate this a 1. BAD BAD BAD! clean!

I love their strawberry pizzas and Bierocks. The only thing I hate is that I live 40+ min and they don't respond to DM's, comments, or phone calls. I've tried to see what they have before making the far drive and no reply on anything. I gotta wait to see a post. Kinda inconvenient. When I did go they didn't have much at 11am. They also seemed bothered cause I kept pointing at things and they'd say "what"....well idfk there's no label or anything saying what it is? So this review is not about the food but rather the poor communication to customers that *I* experienced. Their baked goods are good read more

The poor customer service and lack of communication has always out weighed how good their product is. Though I know that Yelp! isn't overly popular in Hanford, I feel the need that this bakery deserves a review anyhow. We have come in TWICE in attempts to have a cake made for our son for two separate occasions. The first time, we called and were told that they were too busy and that they would call us back, after giving the number and waiting two days, no call was made. We had to find somewhere else in a handful of days as we were hopeful the bakery would actually follow through with their word of calling us. Fast forward 3 months, its now our son's birthday, we wanted to give this place another shot. My wife then went into the bakery as she was already out of the house. Same story, the person working (I gather the owner) said they were too busy and that they would call her back, took down her phone number. Well, there was no call back today. So, we have settled on a competing bakery who welcomed us with open arms and committed to making the cake as we requested. Don't waste your time with this place, horrible customer service. read more

The desserts are good but customer service is terrible especially when you order something thing and they don't have it ready for you because they give it to the customer ahead of you I had a order I placed early in the morning paid for said would be ready by 11 o'clock so I go in at 12:30 and they say it's not ready that they're behind but they just sold one to the lady in front of me who walked in Without an order being placed ahead of time. My husband and I have been on a hunt for good cupcakes ever since we were stationed here from San Diego. There is a cupcake shop we love in Visalia but who wants to drive there all the time. The appearance of the cupcakes and the size of them get 5 stars. The taste not so much. There is nothing unique about the cupcakes. Right when I walked through the door I knew right away there was whipped cream used as icing instead of a buttercream icing made from scratch. That in itself was a disappointment but I still wanted to try the actual cake. The cake was pretty bland and tasted like a box of Duncan Hines or Pillsbury cake mix. Definitely nothing special. I feel like the cream cheese filling that was used inside my red velvet cupcake should have been used as the icing instead of whipped cream. I would have enjoyed my cupcake a little more if that were the case. My husband had the smores cupcake and he felt the same way I did about them. Unfortunately as much as we wanted to like this bakery we won't be back. read more

I was so excited to visit a local bakery and support local. So today I went and got a mini cake from Sweet Palette. I knew it would be a bit more pricey but for a good cake I'm okay with that. Well, I was sadly disappointed. The cake looked amazing. However, it was whipped topping not frosting and that has zero flavor. The cake was dry and had zero flavor. Even the very thick "pudding" that was between the layers was flavorless. The cake was not sweet at all. It was literally flavorless. I gave it one bite and was done. There was less cake in a slice than that in a cupcake. We were able to get four slices. $25 for four slices of cake!!! That is crazy. Also, I know that it was 1.5 hours before closing so I may have put it off to the cake sitting all day but I know that was not the case as I had to wait 20-minutes for them to finish making the cake so it was fresh. read more

I went to the new location for the first time yesterday. They are basically building the place from the floor up so it is not great to look at yet. They have limited refrigerator space as of yet so there are no cream based desserts except for special orders. I purchased 2 apple turnovers and 2 brownies. They were absolutely fantastic and just what I expected as I was a regular customer at the former store location. The reason I am not giving 5 stars is that at the register, there is a prompt to leave a tip on the screen as customers check out. As if this was not enough, perhaps thinking I hadn't seen the prompt, the cashier pointed out the tip option. I felt pressured as there is no way to complete the transaction confidentially. I do not leave tips for cashiers at the grocery store or in any other retail setting. Frankly I think it is in extremely poor taste to basically extort additional money out of the customers in this setting!! I have always felt that the offerings at this establishment are somewhat over priced but they are absolutely fantastic and I am willing to pay a little extra for quality. However, I will not continue as a patron if they do not cease this abhorrent, tacky practice. read more

I wasn't blown away by what I had but it was good: a lemony custard filling in a light fluffy dough shell and topped with blueberries and strawberries. I do appreciate the size of the cupcakes for the price. The cupcake was for my niece so it was vanilla which I'm generally not a fan of anyways. I did like it enough that I will go back. I was eyeing the chocolate mousse that is in an edible white chocolate cup and maybe try a chocolate or red velvet cupcake. It seems by looking at the Facebook page that when I visited, the bakery was not stocked with A LOT of what the bakery makes. I would LOVE to try the various cheesecakes he listed on FB: pistachio, snickerdoodles, and chocolate lovers. Also, macaroons! Hopefully, next time I go there will be more of a selection. Also, I didn't see it listed anywhere but the bakery does do wedding cakes. The owner stated that he ideally likes a 30-day advance order. read more
