Great food - a masterful consideration of flavor pairings - one of the best brunches I've had in Colorado.

I like this place. It has a small family owned business kinda feel. The other smaller thing was the breakfast burrito. Not tiny but certainly not the size of things you'd get elsewhere or expect for the price of $12. At least the flavor was good. Went with the oatmeal on a subsequent trip. Not a bad option at all, though I'd say the fruit addition isn't necessarily worth it. Based on what my friends all got, I'd recommend one of their breakfast sandwiches. This is a good place to stop, whether you've made good time on the way to the slopes or are coming back from a half day. The servers and kitchen are on top of things and will top off your coffee until you're bursting at the britches. On that note, if you're looking for it, the restroom is out the side door, on the right, and down the hall. read more

The service was friendly, but they never came by to check on things after I got my food or refill my water. They were filling the water of the people that sat down next to me, so it was a little frustrating that they didn't see if I needed any. Bread+Salt is a wonderful place for breakfast on Main St in Frisco. I have been going here for years whenever I come on vacation. The restaurant is pretty small and has indoor and outdoor seating. I went on a Tuesday morning and it was not busy at all. I had the chorizo scramble and my friend has the Avocatini "Green" Sandwich. Both of the dishes were excellent. My scramble had great flavor with the chorizo and mushrooms. It also came with hashbrowns, which was a big part of why I ordered the dish. The green sandwich was large and very green from the avocado and pesto. Bread+Salt has a nice menu with many unique dishes as well more traditional breakfast dishes as well. Go out for breakfast nearly every day and am in Summit County a lot, but this spot is not on my rotation. Check the menu as it is limited and they allow 'no substitutions'. Food was ok, but the bacon in my omelet was overcooked, somewhat like bacon bits. There are better choices in the area for my tastes, but maybe one of the menu items is perfect for you. Great brunch spot! We got in without a wait (which i thought was pretty awesome) and were greeted right away. I was pleasantly surprised when i saw they had had a full bar = bloody mary's! Stopped by for a quick bite after a morning of skiing. We were seated right away around 1pm. Food was decent, especially the mushroom benedict. However will have to agree with an earlier review that they need to revamp their "kid's menu". The kid's burger was $16, plus an additional $3 if you want cheese, which we did. It was the most expensive thing we ordered, hardly a kid/family-friendly experience. Otherwise service was average, and it was an enjoyable meal. read more

Our last breakfast stop on our way out of town and we weren't disappointed. We stopped here around 7:30am and the only people out and about were the locals. It's a quaint place with great music playing. We appreciated the list all of the local meat, eggs, produce, and beer being served. My Truffle Scramble was amazing - fluffy scrambled local eggs with herbs and truffle oil, crispy hash browns, and English muffin with fresh strawberry compote. Hubby's bacon, hash browns, and Frisco-made wheat toast was equally delicious. Though we sat inside due to the 42 degree temps (in June), the patio area outside was nice. And we liked the "No WiFi. Honestly, it was one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time. The French toast was perfectly prepared. Local maple syrup hit the spot. The Chipotle Hollandaise was house-made fresh and was perfectly paired with amazing roasted pork. We went to Bread & Salt and was told they were completely full with a long wait. We were told the restaurant across the street, Bagalis, was owned by the same person with the same menu and we would be seated right away. We went across the street and we were seated right away as promised. We ordered Sunrise BLT, Frisco Omelet, French toast, eggs Benedict and a basic 'two egg' breakfast. The food took FORVER to come to the table which would have been fine if it had been hot and fresh. But - it was less than room temp. It had been sitting awhile. Cold fried eggs are gross! The bacon was not worth the up-charge. I ended up pulling the slimy fatty part off and eating just the chewy less-fat stuff. The Benedict sauce on the eggs Benedict was runny and very yellow color, not the usual creamy consistency or color that Benedict sauce is supposed to be. The omelet was very average. The bread on the blt was chewy because it sat too long after being toasted. My husband joked "I wonder if they made it over there ((pointing to Bread & Salt)) and carried it across the street". We all chuckled and then I realized, the kitchen at Bagalis is in the back but food came from behind a curtain in the front. And on the outside of the restaurant, there is a door in the area where the curtain is. Although we didn't get to eat at Bread &Salt, if our experience is the same owner, as we were told, we won't be back to try the actual Bread & Salt restaurant or the dinner menu at Bagalis. read more

We came here for breakfast on a Thursday morning and it was fantastic. Everything was so fresh and full of flavor. The menu was super diverse with something for everyone. I had the autumn bowl and it was so delicious and fresh. My husband had the build your own omelette and he really enjoyed his as well. The coffee was also super good! I love how they incorporate local farmers into their menu options. The restaurant itself is super simple...nothing fancy but the food and service were top notch. This is a must visit breakfast stop if you're in town and on your way to the mountain and for the locals I'm super jealous that you have such a great spot in town! We will be back! read more

Visited Bread+Salt at 7:10am just 10 min after opening on a Sunday. We were surprised that half the place was already packed and by 7:30am people started to sit in the counter. Make sure to arrive early if you do not want to risk waiting. Although my rating is on the lower side I think I was just unlucky with my choices and would give this place another shot trying new dishes. I went the summit vegetable hash. I might have had high expectations when I read it came with pesto, thought it will be a great complement to the dish. Unfortunately felt short to my expectations. The dish overall was ok. I also ordered a side of pancake which I felt was a bit bland and as if it was a healthy version of what a true pancake is, the syrup helped a bit. Overall I think the place has many great choices but my choices weren't that great. If I come here again would try the mushroom Benedict and a side of French toast. This place is a good stop for breakfast! The staff is friendly and it's a quaint little restaurant. We have stopped here more than a few times and actually prefer their breakfasts over their lunches. We were a little disappointed with the lunches, as we are french fry lovers and they serve tortilla chips with all their sandwiches.
