Very disappointing experience. First, the service was extremely slow. It took almost an hour to get appetizers served after having to ask for it. Second, and most importantly, bad bad choice if going to dine with children. My kids ordered the fettuccini Alfredo from kids menu. Menu is extremely deceiving! The pasta is listed for $18 and turns out the choices of protein is an extra $12. When we received the bill, the total price for kids menu pasta was $30. WHAT!???!! I ordered two kids pastas for a total of $60. Unreal. The adult entrees weren't even that expensive. When I asked the waitress about the price, she stated that it was $18 plus a $12 protein. Again, $30 for a kids sized pasta. My husband also ordered the Pork Burrito. They should name it a potato burrito. Minimal protein stuffed with potatoes. Don't recommend this place. Bad food. Nice little restaurant right on the main strip of Frisco. We stopped here on our way to copper mountain to fuel up for a day of skiing. It is a small restaurant and seemed to fill in quickly, the service was relatively quick and we were in and out in a reasonable amount of time. I had the green sandwich and I added bacon, it was good, if I ordered again I'd add an extra egg as only one side had it. I would come back to Bread+Salt next time I'm in the Frisco area and need breakfast as the menu has fresh and unique items and the menu seemed to be reasonably priced for being in the mountains. read more

We had a great lunch here. My husband and I knew we were going out to dinner so we just wanted to share a sandwich. The server was really friendly and helpful. No problem splitting. For a busy Saturday morning with a line of customers waiting they still managed to get us seated quickly, took our order promptly and served very good food in so little time. Bravo. The menu is creative, not just typical breakfast brunch dishes. But not an overwhelming number of choices. The whole place seems clean & well organized. Good coffee, strong enough and good flavor. Nice whole wheat toast from quality bread, eggs cooked exactly as ordered, and the best smoked salmon, thick slices that tasted like good fish. I like this place. It has a small family owned business kinda feel. The other smaller thing was the breakfast burrito. Not tiny but certainly not the size of things you'd get elsewhere or expect for the price of $12. At least the flavor was good. Went with the oatmeal on a subsequent trip. Not a bad option at all, though I'd say the fruit addition isn't necessarily worth it. Based on what my friends all got, I'd recommend one of their breakfast sandwiches. This is a good place to stop, whether you've made good time on the way to the slopes or are coming back from a half day. The servers and kitchen are on top of things and will top off your coffee until you're bursting at the britches. The service was friendly, but they never came by to check on things after I got my food or refill my water. They were filling the water of the people that sat down next to me, so it was a little frustrating that they didn't see if I needed any. If I weren't so annoyed by the abysmal service, I might have felt bad for the staff--it was wildly embarrassing. The employees clearly took no pride in their work and showed obvious disdain for being there. It took over 20 minutes for someone to give us a menu, and when I finally asked, the waitress rolled her eyes before handing one over after chugging a chocolate milk she took about 5 minutes to make for herself. Sitting at the bar, I saw firsthand how poorly the bar was managed. There wasn't even a bar tender. Sodas were poured with ice and left sitting letting them get watered down and packed with more ice before serving. When our food finally arrived, 40 minutes later, it was clear they applied the same neglect. The eggs had a hard, warm crust on top but were like a cold jello inside. The bagels had a tart bitter flavor I could only identify as rancid. Being from the Midwest, I can usually eat just about anything, but this was inedible. When the waiter noticed I couldn't stomach the meal, he made no effort to remove it from the bill or offer any solution. .This is a long winded way of saying, this was such a disappointing experience. I advise you all to go to the corner store and get a granola bar to spare you the terrible experience. read more

Bread+Salt is a wonderful place for breakfast on Main St in Frisco. I have been going here for years whenever I come on vacation. The restaurant is pretty small and has indoor and outdoor seating. I went on a Tuesday morning and it was not busy at all. I had the chorizo scramble and my friend has the Avocatini "Green" Sandwich. Both of the dishes were excellent. My scramble had great flavor with the chorizo and mushrooms. It also came with hashbrowns, which was a big part of why I ordered the dish. The green sandwich was large and very green from the avocado and pesto. Bread+Salt has a nice menu with many unique dishes as well more traditional breakfast dishes as well. Go out for breakfast nearly every day and am in Summit County a lot, but this spot is not on my rotation. Check the menu as it is limited and they allow 'no substitutions'.
