Ordered the veggie crunch wrap for lunch, which was supposed to come with baby kale, carrots, cucumber and hummus. I was asked if I wanted it toasted, and said yes. It arrived cold, with about 1 tablespoon of hummus, 2 cucumbers and spinach. I proceeded to get back in line to ask for it to be warmed up. Was told the toaster is broken but I could microwave it myself. Despite multiple employees milling around no one helped me. My spouse intervened at this point to complain since I was clearly upset and this $9 sandwich was basically a cold tortilla. The staff then offered to remake the sandwich, which once again came out cold and ridiculously tiny. Left the restaurant feeling taken advantage of, disappointed and hungry. Had to go find a second lunch because I was still so hungry! Def do not recommend this place unless you're in a pinch. Then I would say just order a pastry, which are probably more filling than the sandwiches! read more

A fun place to grab a coffee or a snack. It's nice that you can reserve the back room too. I have to say that I didn't care for the vampire chai, but I thought the regular chai latte was pretty good. I've been coming here for several years now and can confirm that it's one of my favorite cafes to go to. The inside is spacious with plenty of seating options- high top tables, regular tables, comfy chairs, a couch, a long dining table, and even a quiet room that has a sliding door to separate it from the rest of the space if you need to work in a quieter atmosphere. While I don't currently drink coffee, I used to always drink theirs and loved it! I would typically get an iced white mocha and it was better than Starbucks in my opinion. The espresso was strong, but not too strong and not bitter or burnt tasting. I have recently been trying new things here (see pics) especially since they opened up their drive thru location nearby. I think the only downside to coming here is that the Covington square can get very crowded so parking close by can be difficult. However, the area is very walkable with plenty of shops and restaurants all around so if you do have to park a little further away it's at least a scenic walk! read more

This place really is a total gem but "Katerine" was very rude which definitely impacted our visit. She did not want to help my daughter and I. After ignoring us, then rolling her eyes... The setting is the selling point. Very trendy, comfy coffee shop feel. Bring your laptop & sit at a table to finish a project or some homework, or bring & book & relax in a big recliner. Perfect for a night cap with friends & a latte. Despite all of this, I gave it 2 stars because of the cheesecake. I ordered a slice of strawberry cheesecake, a chocolate chip cookie, and a kambucha... ran me $12.57. Oddly enough, the most expensive item was also the smallest... the cheesecake. Seriously, a SLIVER of cheesecake. For $4.50 I was expecting more. The cookie was the size of my head & tasted much better than the cheesecake... almost worth the $3.00. I doubt I'll be back. We were ready to stop at a chain for a late lunch, but then checked Yelp and found this cool little eatery open on Sunday in downtown Covington. They have a variety of freshly prepackaged sandwiches and unique beverages, along with a luscious variety of baked goods, coffees and more. A $10 combo gets you a sandwich, chips and drink, and we settled in with our lunch (chicken pesto on a spinach wrap and turkey club with pimento cheese, both excellent) to enjoy the laid back atmosphere. COVID PRECAUTION- this establishment does not require guests to wear a mask. When I walked in there was a family of 6 not wearing a mask and lounging around. Just moved to the area. Went on a Sunday morning with the wife for the first time. The decor is really great and it is quirky and cute. The staff was bubbly but they left a new girl at the counter just staring at us like a deer in headlights. She couldn't take orders or even offer recommendations. They really have a very small selection of baked goods. There are no savory options and the danish was obviously thawed from a freezer with a cold center. The cup of simple drip coffee I ordered came out lukewarm which I had to microwave. Staff was not really attentive, but maybe just busy amongst themselves. Was hoping for a better experience but fairly blasé. For better baked goods I recommend Donut King, but they also have their own issues. read more

I was looking for a local coffee shop to get a beverage while traveling. Picked Bread and Butter due to it's good reviews. The shop is cute from the outside and when first walking in. First impression was confusing - interior is super cute but there are two areas with cash registers, one has food and one has coffee. As I was considering both, I was unsure which one to use. I decided to use the restroom before ordering. At the base of the ramp to the bathrooms, I could already smell a strong ammonia smell. While the bathroom looked dated and minimally cleaned, it had the unmistakable smell of old urine. I asked a question to the barista at the coffee bar about the difference between a latte and a breve and her response was "the ingredients". (helpful). While waiting for my coffee, I looked around and decided to order The Goat - a cinnamon bagel with goat cheese. I ordered it at the pastry/food register. The gal who took my order was almost too busy answering the phone to help me but asked if I wanted the bagel warm to which I replied "if that means toasted, then yes" no response from her except my total. I paid and she went back to answering another call and I waited confused about what was happening to my order as it was evident she was not worried about it. After a few minutes, a young gal came out from the very back of the store holding a bag and yelling my name. I took my coffee and bagel to the car and sampled. My bagel was damp - not toasted but over-warmed in a microwave, unevenly hot; the goat cheese melted to near oblivion. My Praline Breve was very tasty, and while I was happy it was immediately a drinkable temperature, it was barely warm enough to considered a warm drink - confusing since I knew it was just made. Bottom line - Cute space but the layout is confusing for non-regular. I had no idea where to order my food and drink or where to wait for my order. The bathrooms definitely need a good deep cleaning or possibly a renovation to remove the smell. Coffee was good but not quite warm enough for a fresh made drink. The bagel would have been much better toasted warm not overcooked in a microwave. read more

My only regret is not having been here sooner. As soon as I walked in I felt the warmth. It was so inviting and the smells fantastic. It is perfect for a casual date, or to go with a friend to just chat. I would dare say you could also work in here but good luck not leaving with 30 extra lbs. they had two things out for tasting: cinnamon rolls and Oatmeal cookie. Both were really good.
