No complaints Parking structure across the street The improve us really big inside bit still giving an intimate comedy club vibe. Plenty of servers getting your food and drinks out quickly. The shrimp tacos were blah not a fan but the loaded fries were soo good. The sliders were good too. Tons of options to eat n drink. Watched Osama Sidekee - he is soooo good and soo funny! Totally enjoyed ourselves.

First time ever and it was one of the best nights! Was surprised to see how the seating worked, but they have it organized pretty well. Our server was great and the food came out super fast. Food was pretty average but hit the spot

8/12/26 Nurse John show. My husband and I came here for Nurse John's comedy show at the improv. A couple weeks leading up to the show, I emailed the improv to inquire about ADA seating. It took a few days to receive a response. After some back and forth, they couldn't help me since I bought my tickets from Stubhub and the ticket info wasn't released until the day before. I tried to contact them via phone and email prior to the event to ask but not a single soul got back to me. The customer service on this front is rated 2 stars for me. I would have been dead before I got an answer. Evening of the show, line was wrapped about the restaurant. They don't admit until 930p for the 945p show time, however, it was still delayed. I read a bunch of not so pleasant online reviews and didn't expect much with this venue. A long line of people filed in and there was appointed seated when we got in. We got some decent general admit seating areas in the middle. Easy to walk with only a few steps to the restroom. Not sure if there is another area that has a wheelchair ramp but glad I didn't have to use it. Tables are cramped but worked out. QR code ordering for your table. Two item requirement per ticket. Not sure how they track this stuff but my husband and I were super hungry so the two item minimum was no big deal. *sorry about my blue hued food items. Lights already dimmed by the time they arrived. Everything tasted delicious. I loved our server gal. I asked for tap water and she informed me she will try to get back to me. They are rushed to get all ordered drinks and alcohol out before the show and if she can, she will bring me a water later. I wasn't holding my breath since it was so busy. To my surprised, 15mins into the show she stopped by with two glasses of water. I truly appreciated her. Overall, I gotta give all the servers props for doing the hustle before, during snd before the show ends. They have to take the orders for this who don't use the QR ordering, get the food and drinks out and make sure you check out before show ends so you can just walk out. Not an easy job for sure. *food service five stars* The first opening act was bleh, second act was better and the main act was superb. Nurse John was great! There are definitely some improvements Brea improv can make concerning communication/customer service via phone and email. At least return a call or shoot an email response. Hope they can take this feedback to heart.

Came to see Justin Willman magician/comedian. Great venue. Organized line was formed well before show. Be sure t get here before doors open if you're General Admission and want seats close to stage. Turns out we got great seats! Food is good and comes out quickly. Always a great time a the Improv! .

Entertainment: 5/5 Food/Drinks: 3/5 I caught a comedy show on a Wednesday night so it was not packed. I'd say it was under 100 people so we only filled up the first section of the seating area. We caught Comedy Confidential hosted by Steve Fury. It was an interesting show because once we sat down there was a paper and pencil for each person. We were asked to write down one secret, any secret, and they worked it into the show. There were four other comedians and they took turns picking out the secrets from a bucket. Once each comedian picked their favorite, they invited whoever's secret it was to come on stage and answer some of their questions in a panel-style format. It sounded kind of weird at first but it was HILARIOUS! I would definitely catch another comedy show here, we had a blast. With your ticket, you are required to purchase two items (food and/or drinks) so we saved our appetite. We ordered the mini burgers, boneless wings, Caesar salad, mozzarella sticks, and nachos. There were mixed reviews across the group for each items. Mini Burgers - Lacked flavor and salt. Wings - Can select up to two sauces, and they only come in the side and are not tossed into the wings. Wing flavors were okay but I didn't like that we had to dip it separately. Caesar Salad - It was drenched in dressing. Ask for it on the side. Mozzarella Sticks - Solid cheese pull and the marinara sauce was good (3/5). Regular Nachos with Shredded Cheese - My friend loved the nachos. I would say grab some dinner at any of the other spots in downtown Brea and purchase drinks at the Improv to fulfill the two item minimum.

This is a newer Improv location, and I definitely like it better than the Irvine Improv. It's located in a cute shopping and dining village, which makes for a fun night out. Parking was easy--we skipped driving around looking for a spot and parked in the structure directly across the street. Best of all, parking was free. We had general admission tickets, which required a two-item minimum purchase per person. Since we arrived close to showtime, we ended up seated toward the back. We could still see the stage, but the lower table section definitely offers a better view. The food was decent--pricey, but decent. You can either order through a server or scan a QR code and order from your phone. Our server recommended ordering through her, but after waiting quite a while for a beer, I switched to ordering online. Since all they really had to do was bring the food out, I tipped 15%. We ordered the sliders with fries and the chicken quesadillas, both of which were good. Our other two items were a beer and bottled water. I also noticed other guests ordering burgers and desserts, which looked pretty good. The overall design is very similar to the Irvine location. The restrooms were nice, but they were a bit messy because the seat-cover dispensers were difficult to use. There were pieces of paper covers scattered around several stalls. Other than that, the bathrooms were fine. We came to see Tumua, and I'm glad this was the venue where we finally got to see him perform. Great location, good atmosphere, and I'm happy we got the chance to check out this Improv.

I decided to check out a free comedy show at Brea Improv and overall I had a really good time. For a free event, it was honestly a great way to spend an evening. The show ran from about 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM, parking was free across the street, the sound quality was excellent, and the venue itself felt more like a comedy club mixed with a restaurant. The lighting was perfect, the seating was comfortable, and the overall atmosphere felt polished and professional. One thing that impressed me was that I accidentally left my physical driver's license behind and only had a photo of it on my phone. The manager and staff were understanding and allowed me in, which I really appreciated. The reason I'm giving four stars instead of five comes down entirely to the service experience. When I claimed the free tickets, I never saw anything mentioning a two item minimum. Once seated, our waitress, a young white woman, immediately started pushing the minimum purchase requirement. When I asked for water, she specifically suggested bottled water because it would count toward the two item minimum. That caught me off guard because I had already eaten dinner before arriving and was only there to enjoy the comedy show. Throughout the evening, it felt less like she was checking on us and more like she was trying to pressure us into buying additional items. The repeated reminders became uncomfortable and honestly distracted from the experience. That said, the venue itself was great. We ended up leaving before the show finished because we were tired and ready to head home, but the comedians, atmosphere, sound system, and overall setup were all enjoyable. I would absolutely consider coming back for another show. My only suggestion is to clearly disclose any purchase requirements upfront when people claim free tickets and to ease up on the sales pressure once guests are seated. A little transparency goes a long way.

    Carolyn M.

Clean and kept comedy venue that feels intimate with a variety of guests and comedians. There's free parking nearby which is great and the venue is connected to reunion kitchen so if you want to grab a bite or drink before your show it's convenient. Went recently and got a booth with friends that came with food and drink credit. Food was decent but they will hustle you for water saying "we're backed up and it will take a while so I recommend you purchase bottled water." Meanwhile 95% of the other tables had water glasses lol. Anyway, don't fall for that and you're good.

I came here for a show and they require you to buy two items minimum per person. I got a drink and there Nashville fried chicken sandwich. The sandwich was freshly fried, but tasted like nothing. It looked like there was seasoning and spices, but I could not taste any of it. I'd get more flavor from a fast food chicken sandwich than here. The actual comedy show was about an hour and half and it was entertaining. Prices for the food and drinks were high for what you get and personally I don't like the minimum item spend here as there are so many restaurants and bars within the area too. Overall a good stand up comedian show, bad food and drinks.

Hugeeee venue with great lighting for the comedians. Been here a couple times for a show and always enjoyed it. Standard procedures for these kind of club is a drink or food minimum, so be prepared to order something. Personally not a fan of the rule, but the club gotta make their bread somehow. I do like their fried pickles chips and they're worth a try. parking can be found around. I parked at a structure across the street but i'm sure you can find more around.

First time came in for a show at their new venue. It was Ali Wong's first stand up comedy show after her long break. She was great as always but a bit rusty in my opinion. We saw her in Vegas before pandemic and she was fantastic! This venue is huge with so many seatings but very few booths. No more little round tables in the front. Maybe they replaced those with bigger tables considering how packed this show was! Food and drinks are still very good and reasonably priced. Still a great comedy club that we will visit from time to time!

Excellent venue, and the food isn't bad just know in the general seats it can feel a little tight , I would say it's your bar food. Service has always been good in my experience. The ambiance is nice for a date night or with some friends. Always a good time when everyone is laughing. Thank you Brea Improv it's always a fun time.

First time at a comedy show and first time at the improv and boy did I laugh a lot here! I've always been a bit skeptical about going to comedy show and I haven't really had an interest to attend one. Ended up being a great time and I definitely would want to go back with the right comedian. Andrew Santino was awesome and so were all of his openers. He was so funny and knew how to interact with the crowd during the show. For parking here, there is a parking garage across the street and a shopping center, I would recommend dining in the shopping center first. The line for the improv was quite long, once we got in we walked through a dark hallway to be seated. The theater was small but more spacious to fit people than I thought. We sat at a long table in the back with our large group. Upon sitting down, waiters come to get your order for food and drinks, its a two item minimum per person. I got the burger and it was not good at all, it did the job but it was dry and just what you would expect. Fries were decent though. I would definitely recommend coming here for the experience of the comedian, I think they should add TV's on the sides of the venue so you are able to see the comedian better.

Ask the Community - Brea Improv

When buying booth seats, do I purchase 1 booth for the set price or am I purchasing 4 tickets for the booth? It says for the booth is $95 and admits 4.

When you click on the option to purchase a booth, it will automatically default to four tickets @ $95 each. This typically includes $200 bar/food credit. So you do not have the option to purchase one ticket at $95.…

If i bought VIP tickets , do i still need to show up early or is my spot reserved?

Brea improv is 1st come 1st serve to get good seats unless you bought a booth, then they will have 1 for you

Where can I see the seating chart?

If you call the box office, they will email it to you. However, seating is front to back as follows:…

How do we purchase a booth? It is not available the website

If it is not on the website, they are most likely sold out for that performance.

    What time do doors open?

Tickets usually say when doors open. For 10:00 shows they usually let you in between 9:30-9:50 depending when and how fast the first show gets out.

How long ahead of time should we wait in line for Chris D Elia?

    Until after you turn 18

If I purchased a GA Booth ticket, how many people does that ticket admit, 1 or 4? If I only purchase 2 tickets, will we be seating with 2 other people?

Booth tickets seat 4 people! So you should get 4 separate ticket ID's to check in.

Can you avoid online ticket fees by purchase in person?

No, I tried that too and it's the same last time I checked.

I am coming down for my best friend's college graduation and I wanted to surprise her with tickets, but they say 21+. I am 20 and at that time will be 3 months from my 21st. do you think they'd let me in?

No, they card everyone at the door. Maybe try a different show or location

What does a $200 food and beverage credit mean for booth seating?

It means that $200 will be applied towards your two item, per person minimum. If you keep it to 2 items each for 4 people, most likely that will cover the entire bill.

Do you need a vaccine record or a negative covid test result to go see a show?

    Nope.

Is Shane Gillus performing here? I don't see him on the calendar but I know he's coming to the west coast.

    No. Here's where he's going... https://www.dead-frog.com/comedians/tour-dates/shane-gillis

Can you get pics with the performer?

Depends on the performer. I'd ask in advance.

    Are they currently open?

Dee, Because of state guidelines that where implemented because of Covid-19, all entertainment venues are required to close their doors. So, we are not open, but plan to open…

Are there seats for 2 people? My wife and I were thinking about going and we'd like to sit alone.

Yes you can but only at a booth. But the booth is the best bang for buck as you need to purcchase items and with the booth some are included. The booth is the best for a couple!

If everyone in my party purchases tickets separately but we arrive together, will we be seated together?

Yes, but you must be together and its worth the money! Big bang for buck as you have to purchase two items each. The booth provides you with much more bang for buck.

What does it mean when doors open two hours before the show actually starts? eg: doors open at 5. Show starts at 7?

They allow you to enter the theater and be seated when the doors open. You can order food and drinks and dine in your seats until the show begins at 7. I believe they stop serving once the show begins so it is best to arrive early.

Purchased two tickets for tonight. How early should we line up to get a table spot?

Hi, About 30-45 minutes prior to get seating in front. However suggest that you sit in the are called bar seating as it's a bit more comfortable and you sit side by side.…

Does anyone know if Brea Improv has 18 and under Comedy shows?

Yes they do, if they haven't changed things. It's usually during the week though. The weekends are definitely 21+

    Where are booth seated located?

Last time I was there, there were tables that butted up to the stage that could seat 8-10 people each and the booths were behind those. Close to the stage, but not too close. I think there might've been booths at the very back too.

I hate to even give a great review because I don't want people to buy up all the seats from under us, but yet I want to also give this theater a huge and happy round of applause for being FANTASTIC!! We will see you again soon! Cheers!

It was the best surprise- I had no idea until we arrived. The Maverick puts on this play every year and it is outstanding. Their seasons always bring unique, quirky shows. From King Kong to Rocky Horror to Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. There is always something cool happening. Brian, the owner, is dedicated to theater and is a friendly, welcoming guy. The staff and actors are wonderful as well. Probably our favorite local theater.

Parking can be a bit of a problem even with a larger parking structure close by. Most stores are open and some of the local restaurants are participating in the festival. There are a few tents selling off and ends and at the end of the street there is a dj playing some 90s hits. I had a good time here and would recommend coming by, it's a 3 day long festival! Check it out!

Because we chose to be cooped up in the AC during the hot day, we really wanted to be outside, so this was a good opportunity and it was a free activity before we could decide on what to do next. Before we even approached Birch St. we noticed the large amount of foot traffic in the area. Birch was closed and obstructed with a stage and the restaurants across the street has lines out the door. It was pretty damn crowded. For parking, we avoided the adjacent parking structure all together. You can tell that was the first place people attempted, but we just circled the nearby Ralph's shopping center lot since you were allowed to park there. After about 5-minutes, we easily found a spot, and less than a 5-minute walk, we were already there. The festival itself has a shopping village with local vendors, a beer garden and of course music. Though the event skewed a little older at night, it was cool to see so many people out and and about. When the music was playing, there were lots of people on their feet dancing and laughing, and if you just wanted to sit and enjoy the spectacles, they had plenty of seats put up for you to rest your keister. Though we didn't purchase anything from the vendors, we did stop by a lot of the restaurants in the area to see what they had. Our biggest score of the night was stumbling upon Merely Sweets. We bought some cupcakes, propped up and watched the festivities. The festival goes on every weekend until the end of September. Even if you're not into jazz, it's cool to stroll and see what Brea has to offer. I think it's great for the community and gets you out of the house for a night!

Parking is in front near the entrance, weekdays it's $4 /hr but free on the weekends. Admission is just a $5 suggested donation to support the arboretum. I arrived within the first half hour after opening to try and beat the heat. Even though it was still warm, there were plenty of shaded areas to stay cool along with benches that were great for relaxing. There was also a breeze so that helped. Thought about spending an hour there but glad I paid for two hours of parking because I ended up staying for 1 & 1/2 hours. One of my favorite moments were simply sitting on a bench listening to all the birds. Hopefully you can hear them on the video. This is a peaceful place to unwind and definitely encourage you to visit.

I came on a really hot day, so I only saw about half of the place, but it was such a nice time by the ponds, creeks, and little lake. Beautiful wildlife to admire, too -- turtles, ducks, fish, and tons of dragonflies and other lovely creatures peacefully about. We spent a lot of time admiring a group of docile ducks and enjoying the shade by the water. They also have an online plant shop for those interested in gardening (with a great ongoing deal). Planning on purchasing from there and picking up so I have an excuse to stop by again. Loved my time here. Expect to enjoy yours too!
