Tonight we saw The Brink Of War. It is an excellent movie. The actors did a phenomenal job praying such an important part of history. The employees are polite and helpful.

I love this theater so much. The seats are great. Food is good. Movie experience is the best. This time though, we had some issues. We got the dine-in seats. Fork and knife I think it's called. We were in the back row. Both of our seats didn't recline. I pressed the button and it didn't move at all. It was broken. My husband's chair was broken too. Disappointed there. Then there was the ticket fiasco. My husband and I got there early. Thankfully we did. We grabbed our back row seats and were excited for the movie. Some poor came over to us and told us we were in their seats. We showed them our tickets. They showed us their tickets. They both had the same row and seats. What the heck? We were confused. So they went back down and talked to AMC employees. Got their tickets fixed. A little later, another group came over to us and told us we were in their seats. Same issue again. They had 3 people though. Those 3 people, had to go to AMC staff also. My husband and I noticed other people in the theater having issues with their seats as well. Lots of unhappy customers with triple booked seats. Yikes. All bad. So between the triple booked seats and our recliner chairs not working, it wasn't the best experience. Also, the audio in our movie kept going out randomly. We were watching Mortal Kombat and it was intense fight scenes, then the sound would stop. That happened twice. We should have complained. The overall experience was unsatisfactory.

A nice theater with seats that recline. A welcome concession stand with single or combo drinks and treats. Good sound. Choose your seats ahead of time. Pricing comparable. Parking is quite challenging due to Costco customers taking nearby spaces. Service was friendly.

This theater is filthy. Weird parking lot that is full of Costco shoppers. They made us pick seats for a "full showing" yet the theater had less than 10 people in it. Concession stand was filthy. Popcorn and trash, used napkins, used sauce packets all over. It was gross. It was the first show of the day. Ick!

There were limited showings for the Stranger Things finale and this AMC had some at the time. My girlfriend and I went at around 3:00 PM to see the show. There's a decent amount of parking but it was very full when we went. We had some dining vouchers that we used at the kiosk. The scanner took a bit of time to register one of the QR codes but we eventually got it after repeated tries. The kiosk also accepts credit card, including American Express. I liked that there were photos and different tabs for their food items. However, all of the entrees were sold out. One of the staff advised that they had a rush of orders from the previous showing, which resulted in no inventory for the entree menu. This was a bumper as we wanted to try the pizza! Once ordered, we needed to grab our candy from the nearby shelf. Then we headed to the pick-up counter for our movie nachos. We also ordered the boneless BBQ wings and fries with ranch; these were delivered directly to our seats and arrived before the showing started. Many of the items were pretty standard. My favorite was the BBQ boneless wings. The fries definitely got soggy quickly. When it came to the seating, I wished it could recline further back. The cup holders at our seats were still wet. I was not sure if it was wet from the staff cleaning or a spillage from the previous group. The only thing I liked was the seating came in pairs. The restrooms at this facility were a bit dirty. Service here was pretty good. I was looking for something on the shelf for quite some time; a staff member noticed and went to the back to grab the item for me. I appreciate their attentiveness.

This is my go to theatre for big movies! I was impressed by the fresh pizza and chicken wrap. The tater tots were also perfectly crispy and delicious! I love coming here on holidays when there's not much of a crowd. Came here on Thanksgiving day to watch Wicked For Good and LOVED it!!!

The AMC Dine-In is a huge theater with plenty of space and comfy reclining chairs. Each seat comes with a swivel table, which makes it easy to enjoy snacks or food during the movie. There's also a bar on-site, though we didn't order anything, so I can't comment on the selection. One downside: the leather seats didn't seem super clean. When we wiped ours down, it was dirtier than expected. I'd recommend either wearing clothing that covers your skin (unless you don't mind skin-on-gross-chair-feeling) or bringing some wipes to clean the seat before sitting. I can see this being disgusting if the person before you was sweating profusely or dirty. Ewww. A small blanket also makes it more comfortable and cozy. My only other complaint is that the recline doesn't go quite far enough, wish it leaned back just a little more for maximum comfort. Overall, it's a fun and spacious place to watch a movie, but the cleanliness and chair design could be improved. Parking tip: Don't park too close to Costco. I made that mistake and came back to find a cart right against my car leaving a little scratch behind. Apparently some people can walk miles inside Costco but not the last hundred feet to return a cart.

    Diana M.

We've been to this AMC multiple times and it is good. They have plenty of parking, but it can be difficult on the weekends with Costco right next to them. They have a full bar with plenty of options. Their seat recline pretty good and the are in a good shape. I like that the recline is the old school with buttons vs gravity.

    Inside the theater. Cushy seating

4+ Of the AMCs I've been to, this spot feels slightly more dated. Not a biggie though. The movie viewing experience here is pretty much on par with a lot of the other places I've been to. Good service at the concession area and comfortable seating. That's what's really important. Parking was pretty easy to find since there's a shopping area connected to this place so lots of parking was available.

Does this amc have access to a family bathroom?

No. Only Mens or Womens restrooms.

Can you use AMC Green Tickets here?

Are the lights kept on throughout the movie in the dine-in experience auditoriums?

No, house lights are turned down, just like the non dine in theaters.

Can you order alcoholic drinks at the bar and bring them into a non dine-in theater?

You absolutely can bring in alcohol. No idea what the other person is talking about.

Is there dine in food available besides the basics like popcorn etc?

Yes they have their dine in menu available on the dine in side. To have to order at the bar and they will bring it to your seat.

If you had no choice because the theater is full.. would you sit in the second row of the dine in only seating? or skip for better seats?

I would stay because they're all recliner style and it's very comfy not like the old seats

What time do amc dine in theaters opens at?

Different times on different days and depending on what movie. Check Fandango.

Do they have Dolby yet and if so which theater number?

    No Dolby here!

What time do they open to start selling tickets?

    I believe at 10am

What time is the last call for alcoholic drinks?

Do people pay tip for the dine in service?

    Yes of course!!

    Do they accept Apple Pay?

    No they don't

How much are the tickets for teenagers?

They have a Student Price if you buy at the box office, but I'm not sure of the price.

Can I bring food from the self serving wing of the AMC to the dine in wing? For example can I bring ICEE or hot dog into the dine in theater?

    Yes, you can.

Is Dine-in theatre also reclining chair?

Depends. Theatres 1-10 are fully reclining but self service for concessions. Theatres 11-15 are…

Do they have the popcorn seasoning?

    Oh yes they have! 😊

Hours of operation for the box office?

The box office opens about 30 minutes before the first scheduled showtime.

What are the ticket prices for adult?

    From 9 to 15

If you order food and/or drinks in the bar or lounge, can you bring that into the theater that has recliners only?

You can take your food in any of the theaters/either side.

Does this theater offer the $5 tickets on Tuesdays?

Yes, but I think it's only on certain movies.

However, you don't always want to feel like you're trying too hard to change your scenery, bumping you too far out of your comfort zone. The answer my friends, is the good old classic American dive bar. Now, many places like to call themselves a dive bar just because they never clean a single inch of their establishment and have seedy patrons that love to play the more than occasional 80's songs on the jukebox but don't be mistaken, a good dive bar is hard to find. Well, I happen to have found one and it's in Fullerton of all places. That's right, Fullerton, not Los Angeles, nor Hollywood nor some pop-culturally over-hyped city. What makes The Blue Door a good dive bar? First, there's earned consistency & routine. The drinks won't always be made well, or the bartender won't always be attentive but if you come a few times, you'll soon know at what time and day the drinks are made properly by knowing the schedules of the bartenders. Secondly, the drinks are stiff, the service is friendly and nobody bothers you unless you bother them. The atmosphere goes from lively and loud to quiet and solitary, again depending upon when you visit. Lastly, they're open from 6:00AM-2:00AM. They're not just there when the hipsters are around, they're there for you whenever you make the bad decision of using alcohol as an anesthetic. Stay searching for the last remains of Americana my friends....

They always do a great job with decorating when they have a new theme in effect, and the Great Gatsby décor is no exception. The room is filled with lots of gold streamers, hanging gold light fixtures, art deco artwork, Roman columns, etc. Reservations are highly recommended. We checked in at the host stand with Emma who was very friendly. She seated us immediately at the bar as requested. We enjoy talking with the bartenders and watching them make drinks. Ruben was our bartender and he was excellent in all aspects. I started out with Between the Sheets from the Gatsby menu (rum, cognac, orange, lemon, $18). Rum and cognac is a great combo. This cocktail is spirit forward and well balanced. She started out with a Bartender's Reserve (you call the spirit and flavor profile, and the bartender crafts something special for you, $20). She gave parameters of no hard liquors like whiskey or cognac, not sweet, and not refreshing (i.e. no cucumber). Ruben made the most amazing gin based cocktail. Some of the ingredients he mentioned were plum, passion fruit, pineapple, lime, and a bit of chartreuse and soda. It was complex and perfectly balanced, with great flavors. We have been here many times, and he even served it in a unique tiki mug that we've never seen here before. Now it was my turn to put Ruben to the test. I also wanted a Bartender's Reserve, and I told him to use any spirit as long as the drink focuses on banana or apricot flavor. He went to work, and after a short time a beautiful frosted glass was served to me. I forget all of the ingredients he mentioned, but it was rye based with banana liqueur, a small foam top, and fresh shaved cinnamon on top. The banana was perfectly present with the rye at a nice level. This was a home run all the way. Of course, she wanted another magical creation, and Ruben went to work yet once again. She was served a beautiful yellow cocktail, and he even hand cut a little lemon fish garnish. It was mezcal based with yuzu, elderflower, mango, and lime. It was perfectly balanced, the smoke was at the perfect level, and again it had a great mix of flavors. There was some left over, and he even gave that to her in a chilled side bottle with its own baby's breath flower garnish. It's so fun to watch their bartenders create something from scratch, grabbing various bottles, mixing, tasting, adjusting, and then garnishing and serving. In addition to Ruben's delicious creations tonight, Adrian and Sergio have also made us delicious custom crafted cocktails on several occasions. We will definitely be returning soon for some of their new upcoming themes.

There is a small parking lot behind the restaurant which is often full. We usually park in the free multi-story parking garage just east of Harbor and Wilshire. It is a short one block walk to High Horse from there. As the name suggests, the décor is very western themed with lots of wood, cowboy hats and boots, wagon wheels, lassos, saddles, taxidermy, etc. Seating options include booths, high top tables, and at the bar. They have happy hour Monday through Friday from 3pm to 6pm with food and drink specials. We started out with the pickle fries ($12) which were excellent. The pickle slice thickness to batter ratio was perfect, and they were served with a side of ranch. My first cocktail was The Smoking Gun (bacon washed Elijah Craig bourbon, maple syrup, angostura bitters, orange bitters, $18). It is smoked tableside and was a healthy pour. The bacon and maple flavor was very light, but it was very smooth. Her first cocktail was What Would Dolly Do? (Hornitos plata tequila, Los Sundays jalapeno tequila, Del Maguey peubla mezcal, simple syrup, lime, pineapple, grapefruit, $16). It was balanced with good jalapeno flavor and pineapple below with a light smokiness. For my entrée, I had the half slab of baby back rips ribs ($28) with coleslaw and fries. The plate arrived steaming hot and I was impressed with the portion of ribs. There were seven meaty ribs that were very flavorful and the BBQ sauce was good. The fries were crisp and seasoned, and the coleslaw was good too. She had the Up The Creek spice rubbed cedar-plank salmon ($26) with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The portion of salmon was good and it was flavorful. The asparagus was cooked well, but they were over salted. She also enjoyed the potatoes. My second cocktail was the Skinny Dipper (Tito's vodka, St. Germain, aloe vera water, watermelon, lime, $15). This drink was light and refreshing, with floral notes, and watermelon and lime standing out. It also had a great looking color. Her second cocktail was Ladies Love Outlaws (rose petal infused Ketel One vodka, St. Germain, simple syrup, grapefruit, lemon, rose wine, $16). This was also light with floral notes, and had good grapefruit flavor. It was very lively at 6:30pm on a Thursday evening. We left a little after 8pm, and the place was packed as they have line dancing. There was a big crowd of at least twenty people dancing in front of the restaurant and having a great time. The service was good, and our server was very friendly. The food and drinks were great, and I think they were a pretty good value for the price.

The venue appeared to be focused on creating a nightclub atmosphere rather than providing a proper football watch party. There was a DJ, extremely loud music, and a host who continuously provided her own commentary throughout the match. Instead of allowing fans to enjoy the game, she repeatedly interrupted play with jokes, personal observations, and constant microphone chatter that distracted from the match. Halftime was especially frustrating. Rather than preparing for the second half, the host performed multiple songs while fans on the patio were asking for the match audio to be turned on. Even after the game resumed, the unnecessary commentary continued for the remainder of the match. To make matters worse, there was a $30 cover charge. I purchased tickets for my entire group in advance, spending well over $200 before food and drinks. For that price, I expected a venue that understood people were there to watch one of the biggest sporting events in the world--not to watch the host become the center of attention. A great World Cup watch party lets the match create the atmosphere. The crowd, the chants, the tension, and the emotion are what make these events memorable. Unfortunately, those moments were constantly interrupted. I genuinely wanted to like Chako's Social, but this experience was incredibly disappointing. If you're looking for a true football viewing experience where the game comes first, I cannot recommend it based on my visit.
