I've only been here once, but was really impressed with my experience and specifically the theatre I sat in. The parking lot has plenty of spots and is well lit. Lobby is spacious and cleanly. The theatre itself was incredibly nice, one of the best I've been to. Huge screen, seats filled out the room so it felt more cozy/intimate, and the seats are SUPER comfortable!!! They recline all the way back and have padding, so it feels like a nice couch or reclining chair at home. The sound system was juussstttt right, not too loud and not hard to hear. Will definitely be back here to catch a movie in the future, especially because of the seats and also the ticket prices are pretty reasonable (~$10-12 a ticket). read more

It's a cozy little theater that I used to visit as a kid. It would be great to bring our kids there too to relive those memories. Kids don't have high expectations, so a simple movie without IMAX or Dolby is perfectly fine. Plus, it's super affordable. There's plenty of parking, and it's surrounded by lots of things to do to keep them entertained before the movie starts. I'd say this is the best movie theater for a first-time experience for the little ones. It's great! My partner had a harder time understanding so he was questioning her a lot but she kept her composure, she was polite and informative. Everything is streamlined though both times we've been there in the last month, only one person sits in the multi-window access point. There are always five employees or more mingling at the food counter. Most are busy talking to each other. The seating is excellent. We finally went to see Wicked which was very good. We have not been to a theater since Covid. Not because we were afraid of getting sick, more like laziness and we have way too many streaming services. But it seemed like Wicked would be a movie that would benefit from the big screen and surround sound. Although the front doors looked a little dated, the theater was nicely renovated with nice big comfy chairs. Chairs are adjustable to raise your legs up, plenty of space between the rows. We got our popcorn and settled in for commercials and previews. The movie itself was terrific and we didn't even notice it was 2 hours and 40 minutes. read more

I attended the 6:45 PM showing of Leaving Mom at Regency Westminster on Thursday, September 25, 2025. During the film, maggots were crawling on my sister. We had also purchased popcorn and nachos that evening. GROSS! I reported the issue to the assistant manager, Marco. He admitted that this has been an ongoing problem, that exterminators had already been called, but they haven't been able to fully eliminate the maggots. He also explained that he personally could not close the theater because he was not the owner. In other words: they knowingly continued to operate despite the hazard! Marco couldn't issue a refund, immediately gave me corporate's contact information, and suggested I return the following day to speak with the general manager for my refund. This felt like an added inconvenience after an already disturbing experience. To resolve the issue, he offered me complimentary tickets, but there's no way I'll be returning to this place. Not to mention, the air conditioning was off the entire time, making the theater hot and uncomfortable. The house lights were never turned on (neither before the movie began nor after it ended) which added to the overall sense of neglect. It seemed like the lights were intentionally left off to conceal the maggots crawling on the seats from unsuspecting guests. This is a serious health violation. If you value your safety or your money, I strongly advise you to avoid this theater until there is verified proof that the infestation has been fully resolved. read more

This movie theater gives such a charming welcome. It's small and very nostalgic. What's so great about it is that they have upgraded luxury reclining seats with an eating table attached to it. Love that!! It seems like it's a lot less crowded than other movie theaters, especially on premier days like Fridays. Started going here over the last 2-3 months. Yesterday, they made me and my girlfriend physically search our bags for them to check for candy They found two boxes of movie theater candy. This has been my home theater for about a year as I'm walking distance and the $7 Sundays can't be beat. I'm constantly telling my friends about it (compared to $20 tickets at AMC), I've even had friends drive from the valley so that we can watch a $7 movie. This last Sunday walking in the door I was asked if they could check my small purse for outside food. Never in my 29 years of being alive and going to the movies have I ever been asked. YES I did have candy in my bag and YES I stuck it in my bra after the girl asked me to go put it up in my car. I buy a popcorn and drink every single time but that will also change now :) Telling someone to put their candy in their car will not make people buy more candy. Period. People will continue to be sneaky (myself included) and I will continue to not recommend it to friends bc of this weird experience. According to the recent reviews, I'm not alone in this. Also, the reviews about the AC not being on for late movies or older movies is 100% correct. If you're broke Regency, just say so! read more

This has been my home theater for years and went back recently. They have a new checking bags policy which is understandable to a certain extent. Other theaters don't check your bags. Prices aren't bad compared to other theaters. Love getting my 2$ hotdogs. The recliner seats have been the best upgrade and am rooting for an upgrade on picture and sound quality. I wouldn't mind paying a little extra for that upgrade. I will always support this theater but waiting for more upgrades. read more

Me and my wife normally enjoy coming and watching movies here. But this past time we went the experience wasn't the best. We tried buying tickets at the outside booth but it was closed and directed us to buy tickets inside. So we went inside and asked what movies they had and their show times. We normally come prepared with an idea of which movie we want to watch but this time we just came spontaneously with nothing in mind which was why we were asking. I grew up going to this theater so have a certain affinity for it. That being said it's a great venue with upgraded reclining seats and good selection of movies. There is no stadium seating here but I've never had a problem with having my view obstructed. Concession pricing is about 1/4 to a 1/3 less than Regal and AMC but has a good selection of basics you'd want. I personally love the old school lobby and that it's never very crowded. Worst experience ever. Went to watch Jurassic Park Rebirth and my whole experience was ruined. Firstly I asked the employee what sizes the drinks were to see if it was worth spending money. Instead of just pulling out a cup to show me, he said "Our cups sizes are right over there" in a rude short tone, that made me feel stupid. Our apologies the counter was extremely big and we were standing in front of him where the register was. Next he asked to check our bags, and to remove things in my bag so he can look. I have never been to a theater that looks fully in your bag. You should really have signage out in the front so people know. My overall experience was terrible with people constantly talking in the theater and bumping chairs, although the seats were comfortable, I'm not sure if all of this hassle was worth it. Kids wanted to see The Wild Robot and we were on our way to AMC at the Outlet at Orange. I looked up tickets and was shocked that they were $18 each. I did a quick u-turn and headed to Regency where tickets were only $8 on Sundays. Since we bought online, we walked right in and the attendant scanned our QR code. We took advantage of the free refill large popcorn and the cashier there helped us was very nice and patient. The theatre is dated, but everything looks clean with new leather recliners. Last time I went to this theater was to see Jurassic World Rebirth and Superman (2025). I really loved both movies. The theater is nice and could work a little bit more on the cleaning . The workers were kinda rude and slow at having the theater ready and cleaned, so that the next audience could sit down in their seats until the movie started. Regency is a very unassuming theater located on Goldenwest in Westminster. It's been around for a while now and it's still the same as always. S Screens are smaller than other local theaters but they do the job! The seats are comfortable and there are plenty of snacks available. The restrooms and seats can get pretty dirty at times but that's to be expected. They have some of the cheapest tickets around too. read more

We went to see the new Jurassic Park movie yesterday, but the experience was disappointing from the start. The employee at the concession stand was very short and unwelcoming, which immediately set an uncomfortable tone. At the entrance, he only asked to check one person's bag in our group and made her remove her items, even though others in our group also had bags that were ignored. On our way back to the car, another girl warned us the same thing had just happened to her. While we totally understand outside food policies, there was no signage posted anywhere explaining the bag check, and the way it was handled felt extremely unnecessary and uncomfortable. Once inside, things didn't get much better -- all of the reclining seats made loud, squeaky noises every time someone moved, which was super distracting, and there were kids and large groups constantly talking throughout the movie. Our chairs kept getting bumped from behind, and it really just made it hard to relax or enjoy the film. Overall, the experience felt chaotic, inconsistent, and not worth the trip. read more

Beware, outside food no longer allowed. One star today. The young man taking tickets at the front asked to look in my purse for outside food. I complied thinking perhaps he was looking for alcohol. We complied (I had dye free gluten free snacks + porcorn made without anti-inflammtory oils for my autistic kid). He said I had to return them to the car (anyone with special needs child can imagine how important special snacks are) which we did. This theater has allowed us to bring in outside food in the recent past multiple times if we cleaned up after ourselves, and we have. We have never left a mess. He said they changed their policy and was very snotty about it. I stood upstairs and watched him NOT check several other peoples bags as they came in. He discriminated against our family for whatever reason. Bad. There was also no signage to this new policy posted outside. I get it, most theaters dont allow outside food, but this one has (this is one of the reasons we have patronized them for so long). But be reasonable- say ok this time but not again.
