Wow, I haven't been here in years and received some complementary tickets the other day and finally decided to go here since it's closest to me. I was always hesitant to come back since my last visit was not good. I was really impressed beautifully remodeled. lots of workers plenty of help if needed. Even tho we did have reclining chairs that we're not working they were easily fixed apparently they were disconnected lol Happy to be informed that it's nothing like it used to be :) we definitely need to come back. See ya at the movies

This review is based on attending the first Sunday morning showing of a blockbuster film in 3D and ScreenX. We essentially had the entire theater to ourselves, which felt like a VIP experience. The movie ran for over three hours, and not a single additional guest came in. I've watched movies in 3D many times, but this was my first ScreenX experience. In my opinion, ScreenX seems better suited for a packed, high-energy showing to fully appreciate the immersive effect. On the bright side, the cleaning crew probably had one of their easiest shifts.

This regal theater is massively underrated because it used to be a very outdated theater, but the renovations are complete. IMAX screens have recliner seats with swing away tables, there are top of class 4DX screens if you want an experience like star tours for a feature length film, and they've consolidated the concessions line into one queue for a less annoying experience. I should gate keep this, but I want my local theater to succeed! If you do come here, definitely consider spending extra for their premium screens. I came last night to watch the Devil wears Prada 2 in a regular screening room and it was nice to be able to watch it in a mostly empty theater.

Went for a Night movie. It was very nice yo see one of my favorite team members at the door, i used to see him more frequently when he worked the daytime shift. His live for movies is undeniable. The theater was busy. There were a lot of teammates at the concessionary. I enjoyed the massage chair for 15 minutes before my move started. I watched Hoopers. It was cute, funny, and a great message.

Here to see the new Mario movie with my grandsons. This theater is the better than others in the area. The popcorn is usually fresh, they have a huge assortment of snacks including several flavors of popcorn. Hot dogs, and candy! The recliner seats are comfortable and well maintained. The theaters are clean and lots of legroom. The my only complaints are that the price of snacks and tickets are a bit high, and this time the popcorn was not as fresh.

It's been years since I have visited this Regal and it was a great homecoming! The upgrades and area was really nice and clean! We came for a birthday party. The whole thing was organized and well put together by the staff! We had the theatre to ourselves...when we walked in there were tables set up in the theatre with popcorn, sodas, slushies and candy for us to choose from before, during and after the movie! Everyone was helpful and the man setting up the room was exceptionally hospitable! The kids enjoyed every moment of it and the birthday boy was all smiles because he had all his friends, family and some great treats to go with an excellent movie! Gave me ideas on a potential birthday for our kids in the future! Great experience! Great memories!

I saw my second movie in 4DX here today. The first was bit here and I really didn't like it The movement was too violent and constant. The experience today was different and I liked it, I saw One Battle After Another. It's a great movie for adults who think. Sone people there thought it would be different kind of movie and their expectations were not met. This PTA movie was wonderful. More importantly, the 4 DX thing worked really well in this film. There was movement, smoke, lights, scents, great sound, and a great visual experience. I didn't feel overwhelmed. The movie was better for the 4DX. Two of the trailers were movies I wouldn't do this way, too intense. But this great movie was well severed by this experience.

I like the actual theatre & seats but the whole estsblishment can use some help in the cleaning department. Every time I come here, there is popcorn & straw paper everywhere. Sometimes the theatres smelled stuffy. So just attention to detail, spot cleaning throughout the shifts and a deep cleaning at least once a month. Thank you for keeping movie culture alive !

July 25, 2025 | My friend & I had a blast at Regal Edward's Long Beach! I knew The Fantastic Four was going to be a fun and adventurous movie; we had to see it in 3-D 4DX! What an experience! 3D 4DX: What a fun way to see The Fantastic Four! The seats were cozy, four in a row! Once the movie got going, we were swaying left to right, flying, getting splashed with water & so much more! Hahaha! Imagine your favorite amusement park ride while watching a movie all mixed into one... So much fun! It's a wild ride and definitely a sensory experience! The movement is not subtle at all, so be prepared!! I have experienced this type of Theater twice, once in Downtown LA with friends, and also with family in Seattle! Decor: The presentation of it all was so beautiful! I loved how the palm trees were all lit up, the long subtle waterfall, which led to a tall & majestic, waterfall with colorful lights! The theater is larger than life! Once you step inside, it's 80s style with neon lights and larger than life, cardboard cutouts for current and upcoming movies! Location: At the Long Beach Towne Center, in the midst of restaurants, shopping, Barnes & Noble, a car wash and even a Massage Envy! This location has it all! It's a one stop shop! Since we arrived early, I stepped into a few stores & did a little bit of shopping! Parking: Free & plentiful! Customer Service: Super friendly! While visiting this Theater again on Sunday night, we had a change of plans! Thanks to Steve for giving us passes to refund as an option! I appreciated it greatly! Thanks for going above and beyond! Overall: I highly recommend seeing The Fantastic Four at this theater, with all of the movement onscreen, you will feel like you're right on set next to the actors! Though quite the distance, this Theater was so worth it! I absolutely loved it and look forward to returning sooner than later!

I haven't been to this theater since it was Edwards. The location appears to be still undergoing renovations. The seating was very comfortable, spacious, and updated with electric recliners and trays. I came for Housemaid and it was pretty good. I used my Regal app to redeem credits and received a free medium popcorn. This was the best buttered popcorn I've eaten at the movies and service from Julie was excellent!

I'm willing to give this Regal a second try, especially considering their current renovation effort where it almost made me think they were going to close for good with boxes stacked up and a snack bar deserted like a ghost town full of tumbleweeds. This Regal in Long Beach is located at the Long Beach Towne Center (LBTC) on the south side of Carson just west of the 605. If you're traveling southbound on that freeway, you can just go straight through the traffic light as you get off the exit ramp, and then you'd go in a semicircle through the shopping center. The movie theater is within this semicircle, closest to Carson St. The movie theater was literally in the midst of a renovation as I arrived because they were using a boom lift to add orange lettering to the new facade signage, putting the finishing touches on the G in "Regal" as I passed by the vacant ticket office in front. I didn't see any sign indicating that tickets had to be purchased at the concessions stand, but when I showed the host my Premiere Movie Ticket, he directed me there. Susan was at the concessions stand to assist me, accepting my voucher and also scanning a reward I had for a Free Small Popcorn. She offered an upgrade on my free Small Popcorn to a Medium for $1 or a Large for $2. I asked to see the sizes, and the Medium wasn't that much larger than a Small, but the Large was much larger than a Medium. You could also get a refill on a Large, but not any of the other sizes, so it was a pretty easy choice: Large for sure! There was also a surcharge of $1.50 I had to pay to see the movie I was planning to watch: Until Dawn. I had been meaning to see the movie, but when I saw the showtimes, it seemed Wednesday was the last day for a matinee showing. I had a very odd observation when asked which seat I wanted. Before I left my car, I checked the Regal app to see how much the normal ticket price would have been for this movie, but I had to select a seat first. I chose the seat I was intending to choose, but upon paying, I noticed the seat I had selected on my phone was taken even though it was available just a few minutes prior! They hold the seat for 5 minutes if you try to reserve via mobile app, but more than 5 minutes had elapsed by then. I'm not sure if some other patron actually chose that seat within that small timeframe, but I thought it was worth sharing this tidbit of info. Anyways, after selecting my seat, Susan offered popcorn butter, which is complimentary, but also mentioned that seasonings would cost extra. I didn't ask how much since I was okay with butter only. The first few auditoriums I passed weren't labeled, which almost made me fear I'd go inside the wrong auditorium. However, I just had to walk farther, but I missed the men's restroom the first time; it was hiding in a corner by the boxes that were stacked in a row, almost giving off the appearance of an imminent closure. I arrived 10 minutes before showtime, but two other patrons were already sitting in their seats. The previews started about 5 minutes before showtime and lasted about 25 minutes before the actual movie started. I thought the sound quality was great, but the picture could have been better, though I'm also saying that because a lot of the scenes in that movie are pretty dark. Perhaps an upgrade would have further enhanced the picture quality that I could have actually seen better in the dark? The seats didn't recline, and they weren't as comfortable as I hoped, though they definitely weren't uncomfortable by any means. I'm hoping this renovation will include the seats to make them more comfortable, but I can't say for sure if the boxes stacked in the hallways contained the new seats. The popcorn didn't have that much butter, and it was a little stale. Nevertheless, it kept me company as I was awaiting the suspense of what would happen next in the movie. That Large size is no joke, though; I started eating during the previews, and I had to power my way through the last quarter of my bucket once the movie had reached its climax. I didn't love the popcorn, but I definitely didn't hate it. After the movie ended, I went back up to the concessions stand where there were three employees, but it took a minute for one of them to refill my popcorn. He offered butter like Susan did before the movie, but after I got my refill, I noticed the butter dispenser on the left hand side next to the caramel popcorn. There's a good amount of movie decor in the lobby, but the sanitizer dispenser by the front door didn't have any sanitizer. They also have some arcade games and even a couple of massage chairs in the lobby. Overall, it was an A-OK experience with all aspects averaging out to average. This is the closest Regal theater to me, and I'd definitely be open to a return visit, especially when they complete their renovation, hopefully with more comfortable seats that actually recline! And better tasting popcorn too :)

The 4DX experience is awesome Checked out Regal to finally try a 4DX movie, and let me tell you it's not just a movie, it's a ride. From the moment a couple of movie trailers before the actual movie started, the seats were moving and wind was blowing. Every explosion, fighting, and camera angle shift was felt. It's like watching a movie on a rollercoaster. The theater itself is clean, the staff was friendly than any movie theater I've been to, and the location has plenty of parking. The seats in the 4DX auditorium are comfy and look brand new. A heads up, 4DX isn't for everyone. If you just want to relax and watch, this might be too intense. Also, this isn't the place to bring food you actually want to keep in your lap. Anyways, if you're down for something extra with your movie night, it's absolutely worth trying at least once. Would I do it again? 100%.

I'm shocked at the low reviews. My hubby & I took in a matinee for our anniversary (I'm a Jurassic Park fan lol). I have been amping us up since I purchased the tickets a week ago. This was our first 4DX experience and it didn't disappoint! The line was long but when we made it to the front we had the best gentleman help us at the concession stand. He was super helpful and really gave excellent customer service. Once in the theater, it was very clean which was great. The screen was huge, seats were comfortable and super fun. With every twist, turn, drop & splash we were fully emerged. We agreed never to see another action movie unless it's at this theater in 4DX. !

White button vs yellow inactive means no longer playing? That's ridiculous. Wasted my time driving here.

Our movie started at 11:00 a.m., and we figured showing up 5-10 minutes beforehand would be plenty of time, but the line was surprisingly long. Between purchasing tickets and grabbing snacks from the concession stand, you'll want to give yourself a little extra time. One of the biggest perks is their $5 movie promotion on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays before 6:00 p.m. That alone makes it a great value. We also picked up snacks from the concession stand. The popcorn was fresh, which is always a plus at a movie theater. We also ordered nachos but the cheese wasn't my favorite, but it was decent. We got a large Icee as well, and I liked that large sizes come with free refills. They also offer beer, wine, and seltzers, which was a nice surprise. The theater itself isn't huge, but it was comfortable and clean. You select your seats when purchasing tickets, which was convenient. I hadn't been to a movie theater in a while, so that was new to me. They also have a rewards program, and I signed up during our visit because it seemed worthwhile. This isn't a luxury theater with all the bells and whistles, but that's part of its charm. The theater was absolutely packed. The line to buy tickets alone was down the parking lot. When I got into the auditorium, it was slammed with people and they were so loud the whole movie. I'm aware that has nothing to do with the workers and the people running the cinemas, but man it was so bad. I mean people were coming in and out of the theater during the movie which is really annoying and distracting. People were talking and laughing during the movie and made no effort to be discreet or anything along those lines. People are on their phones too with the brightness all the way up. I can't even properly enjoy the movie with all this shit going on, it made me really want to ask for my money back. If you come to this theater on a Sunday, this is what you will probably have to deal with.

Sound and visuals were excellent, seats and temperature were really comfortable, and the 2+ hours flew by. It was a nice ending to a good day, seeing a really great movie with family and friends.

They recline but not all the way. Since its so small every conversation, every candy wrapper, every recliner echos. If you have sensory issues this is your warning. The theater was clean, the staff was very friendly, and the overall atmosphere made for an enjoyable night out. Best part tickets were $9.00. I repeat $9.00 for a early showing and $12.00 for evenings. Military and law enforcement get a discount. 3.5 rounding up.

The employee who helped me was unbelievably rude from the start. She had a very condescending tone, barely acknowledged me, and just stood there in silence while I was trying to order, like I was inconveniencing her by being a customer. When I tried to show my ticket on the app, she told me to zoom in. I couldn't, so I offered to just read it out loud to make things easier. Instead of working with me, she snapped and raised her voice saying she has a hearing aid. Okay... but how does that justify being aggressive and unhelpful? There was zero patience, zero communication, and just an overall hostile attitude the entire interaction. It honestly felt uncomfortable and unnecessary going in the movie. It's frustrating because the theater itself is perfectly fine, but customer service like that completely kills the experience. I shouldn't feel like I'm bothering someone just to watch a movie. Wouldn't come back unless they seriously improve how they treat customers at the front.

Friday the 13th found us sitting on graves while watching Rocky Horror on a large inflated screen while the Long Beach Art Theatre cast performed along with movie. Yes, there was literally dancing on graves going on here. The gravestones were interesting to read while we waited for the performance to start. Most of them were from a hundred years ago! The doors opened at 6:30 and the performance and movie started at 9, giving the audience time to enjoy a picnic or visit the food trucks parked in the graveyard. (Now that's a phrase I never thought I would write.) Four food trucks were there next to the port-a-potties. I didn't see anything saying that you could or couldn't bring alcohol, but a lot of people had alcohol out in the open, so I guess it's okay. Our neighbors even popped a bottle of champagne. Some tips for movie night: Come early if you want good parking. Late comers have to park across the street. Drive a small car if you can. The graveyard driveway is pretty narrow. It got pretty chilly in the later hours, so I suggest bringing jackets/blankets. Bring a low back chair,as taller chairs need to go to the back or side. Future films include: June 27: Pink Floyd The Wall July 11: Pulp Fiction July 25: Psycho August 8: Fight Club August 22: Donnie Darko September 5: The Shining Thanks to Yelp OC for the tickets!

A historical landmark, close & free to visit…read more Originally part of the ancestral village of Povuun'nga, the traditional place of origin of the native Gabrielino-Tongva people of the Los Angeles Basin, named Rancho Los Alamitos when the land was conceded to Manuel Nieto, and finally to Fred & Florence Bixby, whose children donated the family ranch to the City of Long Beach in 1968. To enter, visitors proceed to the Bixby Hill residential security gate at the intersection of East Anaheim Road and Palo Verde Avenue. Entrance is strictly at 1pm, as the guard will not allow entrance prior to that. Operating hours are 1pm - 5pm Wed - Sun. Initial visit, the barn area w/ the livestock was closed off due to a water main break. Tours of the Adobe Ranch is via a docent-led tour, which can be made at the Rancho Center. No photography is permitted. Tom was the docent, and he was quite knowledgeable of the history of Rancho Los Alamitos, allowing passage into each room on the first floor. Second floor was closed to visitors. My favorite room was the kitchen, as I marveled at the various appliances, such as the still operational refrigerator, with the condenser on top, instead of bottom. Also, the heavy, built to last stove, which probably served a countless number of meals for the family & staff working the ranch. There were a few objects which were available to touch, such as an early proto version of a View-Master. The cherry on top of the Adobe Ranch visit was pulling the rope attached to the dinner bell, signifying everyone to "come & get it!". The handsome, well-maintained garden landscape surrounding the property provides natural beauty & plenty of photo opportunities. Second visit was more fun, as the barn & livestock areas were open to the public, again! Preston, a magnificent Shire horse, towers over almost all visitors, and stuns with his majestic beauty. In the world record books, a Shire horse named Sampson is the largest recorded horse ever, at 7' 2.5" tall & 3,360 lbs. Not to be outdone, Fred the donkey bombastically greets people with his hee-haws. A few rescue horses, sheep & a coop full of chickens provided plenty of enjoyment. A pleasurable afternoon can be had at Rancho Los Alamitos. Visitors gaze back in time upon a working ranch, experience how things were built to stand the test of time, opposed to planned obsolescence of most machinery & appliances, today. Visiting Preston, Fred & the other animals, alone, is worth the drive. I look forward to coming back & I highly recommend giving Rancho Los Alamitos a visit.

Getting there is part of the experience: you check in with the guard, receive a permit, and drive up the hill before checking in at the front desk. Once you're in, it opens up into this ranch beautiful historic space that feels worlds away from the city. The grounds are stunning. There are lush gardens, a tennis court, and even livestock--horses and chickens--which add so much charm. The ranch sits up on a hill, and it's the perfect place to just relax, sunbathe, or wander and take everything in. One of my favorite spots is the massive tree in the front yard, with its roots stretching out--it's incredibly impressive and peaceful to sit near. What makes it even more special is that it's free, which honestly feels unbelievable given how well-maintained and meaningful the space is. There's also a deep sense of history here, especially tied to the Bixby family and the legacy of the women who helped shape it, which adds another layer of appreciation when you visit. Part of me almost wants to keep it a secret because it feels so personal and serene--but it truly deserves all the praise. I feel lucky to have a place like this right in our backyard

Parking can sometimes be a challenge depending on the time of day, but it's always worth it. The theater is well kept and has such a welcoming vibe. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the concessions go beyond the usual. They serve popcorn with vegan butter, hot dogs, candy, and even alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. And if you prefer, you're welcome to bring in your own food and beverages, which makes it even more unique. I love that this single-screen theater showcases a mix of first-run, independent, and international films. They keep their website updated with showtimes, plus they have out a printed monthly calendar for those who like to plan ahead. They also offer a stamp card, after 5 visits you get a free popcorn, and after 10, a free movie. Every visit has been a great experience, and this one was no different. If you haven't been, you're truly missing out. Come see a film here and you won't regret it.
