This is one of my go to AMC Theaters. Love having the AMC Stubs pass and seeing a lot of new movies. This location has 2 sides for theaters and a lot of parking in the front and back, though weekends can get a little crowded, especially in the PM. Staff are always really nice and helpful. Theater has been clean when I have gone. Snacks taste fresh. Not a huge fan of the new cookies but will always love some popcorn (especially only paying $5 for a large with the popcorn pass for the year) and pretzel bites.

My favorite movie theater. Plenty of parking. Comfortable reclining seats. Good food and drinks options. Great screen and sound.

2026 Review. Tried the bar for the very first time. We looked through the menu and found assorted alcholic beverages. Once we know what we wanted, we walked up to the counter where we were greeted. Ordered a Michelob Ultra and specialized drink called Hail Mary, in reference to the movie with Ryan Gosling. Our drinks were served in a a few minutes. The bartender made it to perfection. Cold and refreshing. I am going to do this more often. The prices are not bad at all. Its like going to a regular bar like hooters. I always assumed the prices were going to be outrages like Disneyland. I was wrong all this time. Affordable drinks and they were delicous. Definitely come back.

This might be my favorite theater in Long Beach! I've had average experiences at Cinemark at the Pike and Regal Edwards at Towne Center, but I like that AMC 12 is somewhat tucked away in the plaza and finding parking was easy on the weeknights when I went to see the 25th anniversary showings of Lord of the Rings. Since I'd pre-bought my tickets on Fandango, all I had to do was check which auditorium I was in, have the QR code scanned, and take my seat. The associates were friendly and made finding my way easy. I've only been in auditoriums 5 and 6, and both are very spacious - even fully reclined, there's at least 2 feet in front, making it easy for others to navigate to their seats. Something interesting about the layout is that instead of an incline like many places, i.e. going up as you head to the back of the theater, these are mostly level. The handicap seats are actually in the rear instead of the front. Surround sound is excellent and truly made the viewings feel immersive. If I had to nitpick, the first showing I attended I could briefly hear the vacuum next door. They also seem to keep the temperature moderately warm, which I actually don't mind since I get cold easily, but dress accordingly if you run hot! Ladies' restroom is to the left and men's restrooms are to the right for auditoriums 5 and 6.

people have their favorite teams, restaurants , foods , but this is my favorite theater. The staff Greg , Shantell and the whole crew are always welcoming . I never have a problem renting a theater here for my special needs families to come enjoy a film here . Thank you AMC

It's my favorite movies spot! It's always clean and parking is reasonable. It is a bit confusing with the theaters being spilt in two BUT it's kinda cool cause it's less people and it's a vibe

Is there white cherry in the slushy machine?

    Does this have heated seats?

Unfortunately no heated seats at this location

    Do they have recliner chairs?

    yes

Is this a Dolby AMC Theater? Will 1917 be on a special Dolby presentation?

Unfortunately, this is not a Dolby Cinema location. https://www.amctheatres.com/movie-theatres/los-angeles/amc-marina-pacifica-12

Is it cheaper on certain days?

Yes it is if you are an AMC member!

    Do they check bags?

No they don't check bags. They also have the best popcorn...always fresh and hot

Are the stadium theatres handicap accessible?? My mom uses a walker and I'm not sure if there's ramps inside the theatres or only steps..

Yes most theaters are handicap accessible! I know there are elevators that take you up to the handicap seats and most all have ramps large enough for wheel chairs or walkers .

    What time is alcohol served?

As far as I know as soon as they open....

Any recommendations on food to order for the dine in?

    Flatbread pizza is pretty good

Is this amc a dine in theater?

There's a big variety of food you can order from the concession stand, however it's not like the theaters where you order food from your seat and they bring it to you. They also offer alcohol.

Are all theatres at Marina Pacifica equipped with recliner seats?

Yes, they recline back to where you could fall asleep (My friend did). We were in row C and it wasn't too close for the movie. Enjoy!

The employee who helped me was unbelievably rude from the start. She had a very condescending tone, barely acknowledged me, and just stood there in silence while I was trying to order, like I was inconveniencing her by being a customer. When I tried to show my ticket on the app, she told me to zoom in. I couldn't, so I offered to just read it out loud to make things easier. Instead of working with me, she snapped and raised her voice saying she has a hearing aid. Okay... but how does that justify being aggressive and unhelpful? There was zero patience, zero communication, and just an overall hostile attitude the entire interaction. It honestly felt uncomfortable and unnecessary going in the movie. It's frustrating because the theater itself is perfectly fine, but customer service like that completely kills the experience. I shouldn't feel like I'm bothering someone just to watch a movie. Wouldn't come back unless they seriously improve how they treat customers at the front.

Heehee. I loved the little tables for each seat, and the big cup holder. Less mess and spillage. Movie tickets were not cheap but luckily we have gift movie vouchers that discounted the price dramatically. The snack prices are outrageous, we spent 45 dollars on one small soda, one medium popcorn, and one little box of BunchaCrunch. More than twice as much as our discounted movie tickets. And they probably needed to add one more person behind the snack counter that day, line was getting pretty long - maybe that why they have super long ads before the movie so you don't miss the actual movie if you want to get a snack in this line :) Was it worth it? Probably for us, yes, as this is considered our little vacation date. If we are able to break away from our daily routine and spend time with eachother, it is well worth it. The sound was pretty loud but I loved it. Didn't like the 30++ minutes of ads before the flick. But I guess this will never change. Overall, it was a pretty good experience, for when you really need to see a certain movie on the big screen.

There are a few major issues with this theater complex that make going here a massive headache,…read moremostly starting before you even walk through the front doors. The Parking Nightmare: 10-Minute Limits: The main issue here is the parking layout. About 95% of the parking spaces are strictly designated as 10-minute parking, which makes absolutely no sense for a movie theater. The Empty Valet Lot: They have an entire massive section of the lot completely blocked off and closed for a valet service. The kicker? The valet is never even present. It's just a giant, empty, wasted lot sitting right next to the theater for no reason while regular customers struggle to find a spot. Lack of Accessibility: There are only two handicap parking spaces for the entire complex, which is completely unacceptable for a venue of this size. The Theater & Amenities: Online Fees: On top of the parking hassle, they tack on extra fees just for buying your tickets online. Peeling D-Box Seats: I paid extra to get the D-Box seats, but the material on them was completely peeling. Lack of Reinvestment: The theater itself works fine and does what a theater should do, but I feel like a company this big should be reinvesting their money much better into the actual quality of the facility. Final Verdict: Three stars because it gets the job done as a basic theater, but between the non-existent practical parking, the online fees, and the worn-out upgraded seating, they really need to improve the overall experience.

Friday the 13th found us sitting on graves while watching Rocky Horror on a large inflated screen while the Long Beach Art Theatre cast performed along with movie. Yes, there was literally dancing on graves going on here. The gravestones were interesting to read while we waited for the performance to start. Most of them were from a hundred years ago! The doors opened at 6:30 and the performance and movie started at 9, giving the audience time to enjoy a picnic or visit the food trucks parked in the graveyard. (Now that's a phrase I never thought I would write.) Four food trucks were there next to the port-a-potties. I didn't see anything saying that you could or couldn't bring alcohol, but a lot of people had alcohol out in the open, so I guess it's okay. Our neighbors even popped a bottle of champagne. Some tips for movie night: Come early if you want good parking. Late comers have to park across the street. Drive a small car if you can. The graveyard driveway is pretty narrow. It got pretty chilly in the later hours, so I suggest bringing jackets/blankets. Bring a low back chair,as taller chairs need to go to the back or side.
