Enjoyed my visit to Edwards Regal in Brea. It's a small theater, but they seemed to have a good group running the facility. I came during afternoon hours, amid a large field trip visiting, and was able to still navigate things such as concessions and restrooms well. The seats were also clean. Overall, great place and fantastic experience.

Very basic theater in many ways. The concessions area isn't very big. Had the typical popcorn and some candy. I didn't see any fun photo opportunities or anything like that. Kind of disappointed about that. I like the cut outs and cardboard promos that you can take photos with. It's also good advertising for new movies that are out or coming soon. There is a couple retro gaming machines, and massage chairs that you have to pay for in the hallway. The recliner seats are really good. Very comfortable! Tons of room for your feet. The air conditioning was nice and cool. We saw the movie the long walk. The movie itself was long and boring lol The recliners proved very comfortable and the theater was clean. Staff were friendly. Seems like a decent theater experience overall.

This theater is a bit outdated in their decor and theme, but their theaters have reclining seats which makes up for it. The seats are very comfy and spacious, with cup holders on each side as well. The concession area has lots of options, all overpriced, but that's all movie theaters lol. Parking is an easiest at the garage directly behind the theater. It's free and shaded.

My family and I are subscribers to the Regal Unlimited monthly plan, which costs $1,200.00 per year for four people. Today, I had to deal with Maya, a concessions cashier at the Brea Regals, who was VERY disrespectful and condescending towards me. Unfortunately, the situation was exacerbated by Patricia, the supervisor, who found the situation amusing. It is disconcerting knowing that Patricia finds customer complaints laughable and she holds a supervising position.

This is my favorite theater to go to. It's always clean and never feels too busy or too dead - just the right vibe. The staff here is really nice and actually helpful when you need something. Even though I live closer to other theaters in Fullerton, I still drive here because it's just a better experience overall. Worth the extra drive for sure!

Rating 4 stars due to the cozy recliner chairs however I don't believe they offer dine in yet! Small theatre in the middle of downtown Brea, great location. Needs some remodeling & I'm sure it'll be great!

I love this theater so much…read more The seats are great. Food is good. Movie experience is the best. This time though, we had some issues. We got the dine-in seats. Fork and knife I think it's called. We were in the back row. Both of our seats didn't recline. I pressed the button and it didn't move at all. It was broken. My husband's chair was broken too. Disappointed there. Then there was the ticket fiasco. My husband and I got there early. Thankfully we did. We grabbed our back row seats and were excited for the movie. Some poor came over to us and told us we were in their seats. We showed them our tickets. They showed us their tickets. They both had the same row and seats. What the heck? We were confused. So they went back down and talked to AMC employees. Got their tickets fixed. A little later, another group came over to us and told us we were in their seats. Same issue again. They had 3 people though. Those 3 people, had to go to AMC staff also. My husband and I noticed other people in the theater having issues with their seats as well. Lots of unhappy customers with triple booked seats. Yikes. All bad. So between the triple booked seats and our recliner chairs not working, it wasn't the best experience. Also, the audio in our movie kept going out randomly. We were watching Mortal Kombat and it was intense fight scenes, then the sound would stop. That happened twice. We should have complained. The overall experience was unsatisfactory.

I like previews, wifey does not, so we got there in time to miss all of the previews. Stand in concession line. No complaints. Wait in line 10 minutes for the 1 person working concession? I remain unfazed; does not bug me at all. Nope, what AMC had to do to let me know I have been missing nothing all of the years I went to the Krikorian theaters is for me to finally arrive at the front of the line - and then to have someone that just bought their ticket walk to an adjacent and previously empty line, and have the 1 person working concession say, "Can I help the next VIP customer" (apparently there is some kind of a VIP line that trumps/bumps us mere peasants back in line). Elitism in a theater that shares a parking lot with a Costco feels a bit pretentious, but to each their own - I appreciated the loud and clear signal that AMC's are not my type of theater - I have good experiences at Krikorians and Regals.

I know I am super picky, but I get over movies so fast that I usually turn them off at home within 20 minutes. It's RARE for me to finish a movie. I think the last time I went to a REAL movie theater was in 2017 in Hollywood. I do go to The Frida sometimes to watch "bad" movies that I know I will love. So how did I end up here? My dad really wanted to see Epic, the new Elvis movie, he asked if I would go with him for a father daughter date. It wouldn't kill me to spend some time with my old dad, so I agreed. Went online and bought tickets for a Sunday showing, $30 for a senior and a matinee, plus their service charge. Expensive! Is that how much movies cost now? I wouldn't know. Parking is a breeze. They have a small lot out front that was full, but we easily found parking in the free parking garage just a few steps away. Let yourself in, if you don't already have tickets, purchase them on the kiosk. Get in line for snacks. They have a full bar! But we stuck to soda and water. $30 for a large popcorn, a large soda, and a large bottle of water. Dang! How did this movie turn into a $60 outing?? Dad asked for extra butter and they did not mess around, I think I went through 6 napkins in the span of 2 hours! The large is gigantic, my dad took half of it home. The theater itself was very nice. They have the most comfortable reclining chairs, and each chair has it's own swiveling tray to put your food/purse/whatever on. I had actually tweaked my back the day before, and sitting in the comfy chair helped a lot! Thanks, Regal! You saved me a pain pill. This place is very clean, very modern, and the few employees we interacted with couldn't have been nicer. I'm not dying to go see another movie, but if I decide to, this theater is where I will go.

I'm very sorry to see that the only 2 reviews (prior to mine) had a bad experience!…read more We went this last Saturday night and saw Elf at the drive-in. It was WONDERFUL!!!! No glitches, no skips, wonderful movie quality and so much fun!! The event opens at 5:00 but the movie doesn't start until 7:30. We arrived at 5:30 to have dinner and get a good spot. There were quite a few people already there and since we were in a big full sized pick-up, we had to park over to the side a bit (or way in the back). I get it, and remembered that was how it was "back in the day" when we would go to the drive-in. We brought a big bluetooth speaker with AM/FM controller, so we were able to tune in and hear it in awesome volume as we sat bundled up in our Christmas blankets in the back of the truck. We brought in food, popcorn, movie candy and drinks, that way we wouldn't have to leave the security of the bed of our truck. It was SO MUCH FUN!! There were portable bathrooms with hand washing stations, concession stand with popcorn and lemonade, plus they kept all cars a good 6 feet apart and encouraged mask wearing when not in our vehicle. However, should you be concerned about others wearing a mask or not, bring your own food (plus it's cheaper) and stay snuggled in your car. That's what drive-ins are for anyway (wink wink) We did have to run to the restroom, but we didn't come in contact with anyone and people kept their distance. People were bringing in food from surrounding restaurants; BJs Brewery, Cheesecake Factory, Olive Garden, etc. We even saw a few people with portable heaters. Everyone seemed to have so much fun! Kids and adults were in pajamas and holiday attire. It was a great way to kick off our holiday season! We were slightly annoyed with the late-comer movie attenders. Who shows up at the drive-in 10-15 minutes before the show starts??? C'mon. The show didn't start until 7:45 because the presenters were kind enough to hold everyone up because these people weren't courteous enough to plan ahead. On the bright side, there were no movie previews, the movie just starts and you're good to go!! Please plan on being early or on time. I heard one of the attendants say that they will be back with another round of movies in January, we will DEFINITELY be back!!! So incredibly fun. $35/carload ($40 total with fees, etc). CHEERS!!!

The last time I'd been to a drive-in movie I was so young that I hardly remember the experience…read more When I heard about the "Starlite Drive-In Movie" events, I was very excited to experience an actual drive-in movie, & couldn't wait to finally enjoy a "mini-outing break from quarantine" from the safety & comfort of our vehicle. This is why I am sad to write this review with such a low rating... With "pop-up" events held in various locations in Orange County, CA (Brea, Irvine, & San Clemente), "Starlite" currently features family-friendly Halloween movies to watch on a big screen from the safety & comfort of your own vehicle. Although they're not currently showing recently released movies, I was excited to see one of my favorite dark romantic animated films "Corpse Bride," just in time for Halloween. It's a really cool concept to go & enjoy a drive-in movie --- especially for those who are unable to visit a traditional indoor theater due to the COVID-19 pandemic, & it was advertised that social distancing & face-coverings (if you are outside your vehicle) are "enforced" (non-compliance will result in you being asked to leave)...or so they advertised..... Although "Starlite" boldly advertised (& even emailed you reminders) that if you leave your vehicle for concessions, restroom trips, etc., you must remain physically distant & wear a face covering (or be asked to leave), our experience on October 25, 2020, proved that this was not the case. We visited the concession stand, but this was where we went wrong. As we were in line, a person was coughing with no face covering, (mouth WIDE OPEN towards us), unconcerned, & not even making an effort to shield their wide-mouthed coughing. Immediately leaving the line, & on the way back to our vehicle, we noticed several others walking around with no face coverings, & it became apparent that "Starlite's" advertised rule was obviously not being enforced. For personal reasons, we have been extremely diligent guarding our health during this pandemic (face coverings, extreme cleanliness, no travel, little-to-no outings, no indoor nor outdoor dining at restaurants, limited take-out, etc.). Aside from essential work, essential trips outside the home, & limited take-out & shopping, this drive-in movie event was only our second "outing" since March 2020. Had we known that the advertised rules imposed by "Starlite" would not be enforced, we would not have attended this event. It was disappointing & concerning, to say the least. Although it was a cool concept (in theory), & a clean, pretty well-organized & peaceful family-friendly event, I would not attend this event again. Regardless of one's viewpoints/opinions regarding face-coverings & social-distancing, it would be helpful if "Starlite" would be more forthcoming & transparent about the fact that their advertised rules are not enforced. That way, all attendees can make more informed decisions regarding whether or not to attend the event depending on an individual's own personal comfort levels. For those who are less risk averse, here is a bit more information regarding their events should you choose to attend: * Tickets available on-line in-advance * Concession stand available on-site with candy, popcorn, drinks * Restrooms (aka, "port-a-potty") available on-site * Movies vary by date & location Event: 4-stars Transparency/consistency regarding advertised "Guidelines": 1-star Average Overall: 2 1/2-stars

This theater is redone, so expect the iconic red, leather seats that recline. For overall movie experience, I love it. The rows are staggered well, so you 're not forced to look up at a screen like other theaters where chairs are level. The theaters are also clean, and this is standard from my experience in both the small and large theater formats. The popcorn is still the classic butter popcorn, and the theater has a butter machine along with salt and Tapatio - just note its $0.50 if you want jalepenos. This theater also offers a café for the adults who would like an adult beverage. The staff is friendly-ish. My most recent experience at the concession stand wasn't the best as the staff member appeared to be tired and upset, but the theater clean up crew was very happy! I would still recommend this theater if you're looking for a fun time!

When we first arrived , it looked like it was closed because it had a gate closing the majority of the theatre entrance and a small opening on the side where someone scans your ticket before even letting you in the venue. It was annoying for us because my mom had the tickets, so we had to wait before we could even walk in and buy our food. But I understand it's probably for theft prevention, to keep people from coming in and watching movie for free. We bought a regular size popcorn, slurpee, and Diet Coke. The popcorn was incredibly salty. So much so my husband wanted to take it back but we just kept it and didn't finish it. My sister also said it was way too salty for her and her family as well. Inside the theatre we enjoyed watching the movie. It was surprisingly not that crowded for such a new popular movie, but it was a Sunday matinee movie. We had a group of 11 and a whole row to ourselves which was nice. We were in theatre 15 which was laser at amc and plush reclining seats. The colors were so vivid and this was the perfect theatre to watch Super Mario in. It brought me back to my childhood playing Super Nintendo. If in the area I will be back here to watch a movie with my family but I would like the theatre to have a more inviting appearance in this dead mall. Also the food needs to be fresh and not as salty. Other than that, our movie experience was great.
