This has been my go-to theater for several years now. It's located about half a mile from the Honda Center, and has a ton of parking available. If the food at the theater isn't your speed, there are plenty of restaurant options within walking distance to choose from. This theater has XD & ScreenX options to choose from, and all the seats are luxury loungers. My only gripe is I wish there was more of a variety on the food front, but whatever is sold isn't bad. I love going to the movies and this theater checks all the boxes for a great experience. Definitely check it out if you're looking to catch the latest releases in a comfortable setting with a great viewing experience. read more

I just got home from the Cinemark theater on Katella in Orange after taking my daughter and 6-year-old grandchild to see Shaun the Sheep, Theatre 11 at the 7:45 PM showing. Only a few minutes after the movie started, I personally saw two rats at the same time near where we were seated. One scurried away near our seats, and when I screamed loudly out of fright, the other one ran off. My daughter immediately reported what we had seen to theater staff. They asked whether we wanted a refund or wanted to continue watching the movie. We decided to go back inside. That's when all hell broke loose. Other customers started seeing rats too. People were screaming and jumping up onto their seats. Then a woman screamed, "It's on my back!" while her husband tried to help her. At that point, people started getting up and leaving the theater. We left so quickly that we accidentally left some of our belongings behind. My daughter had to ask the manager to go back inside with her to retrieve them. The movie was still playing, and the manager turned on the theater lights so she could see while getting our things. Two other adults with one child each remained inside like nothing was happening. The rest of us left. What the manager told us afterward was particularly concerning. He explained that there are train tracks behind the theater, that they see rats around there "all the time," and that the janitorial staff have been leaving the back doors open, which he said is how the rats are getting inside. If that is a known problem, I do not understand why customers were still being given the option to return to the auditorium after we reported seeing two rats. When I got home, I checked Yelp and was shocked to find another reviewer describing a similar experience with rats at this same theater only a couple of months ago. So tonight's incident does not appear to be an isolated occurrence. There has been at least one similar public report previously, and the manager's own comments indicated that rats around the theater are an ongoing concern. This was absolutely horrifying, especially with my 6-year-old grandchild. I personally saw two rats at the same time. Other customers were seeing rats. People were jumping onto their seats. A woman was screaming that one was on her back while her husband tried to help her. This is a serious rat infestation that is a sanitation and safety issue that needs immediate attention. We went out for a family movie night and ended up fleeing the auditorium because of rats. They are huge rats! I have never experienced anything like this at a movie theater. read more

We come to the movie theaters to escape and enjoy -- not to be solicited and do work. I just watched Runner (DBox format for the first time). As we were trying to leave the showing room, we were blocked by people who appeared to be Cinemark employees. Later, come to find out they are not Theater employees. They were a hired research company. Research organizations like this one should be standing far away from the doors in a different color uniform and if they want our opinions, should quickly identify themselves and let the customers know what's in it for them, i.e. if you complete this short survey, we have a movie ticket for you to use at your next visit. It's pretty audacious to expect people to give of their valuable time so the research company can make money. Nothing was given to us for our time. Additionally, DBox was pretty disappointing. I've never stayed with one long enough to truly understand what a loving relationship with a theatre could be like until I met you. From your reclining seats that support me in a way that no one else ever could, along with seat warmers to keep me warm the way you keep my heart warm, to the generous spaces in between seats so that no one else gets too close to me to break my heart, and the way you think of others by providing accessibility with your closed caption devices (just ask for one up front!). The merchandise for movies is great. I love the free little surprises, like pink-and-green-glitter popcorn, when watching Wicked For Good. We had the chairs that move like a rollercoaster. I found another great movie theater! Century Stadium definitely got a glow up from the last time I visited a few years ago. The recliner seats still feel brand new and are very clean. They also have d-box seats for movies that have it available and it's quite an experience. You can adjust the intensity to your liking. For scary movies, I opt for the low setting because I scare easily, but I recommend trying it, it's pretty cool. Their snack selection is solid! They have a good variety of candy and drinks. The concessions are set up so you can grab what you need and checkout at the counter. AND they serve Pizza Hut pizza! It's hot and ready at the counter. We love the jalapeño pepperoni pizza, but they don't always have that prepped. If you ask them, they take about 5 minutes to make it for you. You can order ahead when you buy your tickets or through their app as well for convenience. Other amenities include an arcade area, which can be fun for kids. Their photo booth is $8 and it prints you two photo strips. They have discount tickets on Tuesdays, but even outside of that, I think this theater has competitive pricing. Nah! I met my friends here on a Sunday to see the Michael Jackson movie. The concession area was pretty busy, and also pretty dirty. Popcorn all over the floor, sticky surfaces. Our popcorn didn't taste very fresh. Seats were roomy, reclined, had heaters (which weren't needed), and trays for food, no complaints there. It was warm and stuffy in the theater, put the AC on! Not very comfortable. I also got bit by a mosquito or something, about halfway through the movie my ankle started itching like crazy. When I got home I had three bites! My friends were also not impressed and we all said we won't be back. read more

Walked into the building and it was really well ventilated. Very fresh and cool. Then I walked into theater 20 to see Spider-Man. It was like a sauna in there. They didn't turn on the AC once the entire movie. I don't know if it wasn't working or something but man it was really hot in there. And it stank. It smelled like a karate dojo with this constant stench of sweat and feet. Definitely one of the worst experiences I've had at the movies in a while. Also the people in the seats next to us were fucking annoying and would not stop horsing around the whole movie. Really nice theater. There's something really nostalgic going to a Cinemark than the other chain movie theaters. I feel like they keep it simple, it's really just about enjoying a movie without a whole lot of fuss. And this Orange location was just that. My friend and I came here to watch one of their classic movie nights recently, and it was just great. Getting the movie tickets ahead of time on Cinemark's website made it pretty easy. We only had to show the digital ticket and we were in. The theater seats are leather and automated, so you can adjust the seat to recline, or not. They also have seat warmers. What? Awesome. Staff operated as normal like any other theater, nothing too crazy. There's plenty of parking near the front, or you can park at the further lot down. But if you come here for later showings, you may have to circle around for parking. read more

As a frequent movie goer I recommend signing up for the Movie Club Membership and save or go during the day to a matinee for cheaper seats. read more

Came here early Friday afternoon to watch the Conjuring which sucked in my opinion. Was treated by friendly staff.: The theater was pretty lonely but very clean compared to other Cinemark's. The only issue were the cashier at the concession stand very unfriendly. She seemed annoyed at me asking her to give me a minute to get my rewards on my app. Either way had a great time with my kids. I love this movie theater! The reclining chairs are the best! They are so comfortable and roomy. You just can't find better anywhere! I went to see Ballerina. It was good. Ballerina was a very long movie, and I was comfortable the entire time. The seats have heaters too. Plus they have the air conditioning blowing! Sweet! It's always clean. The snacks and food are decent. I love grabbing a personal sized pizza and enjoying that during my movie. This is my go to movie theater. 10/10 read more

UNCLEAN SEATS AND BAD ATTITUDES Sat in handicapped seat and upon noticing mine smelled like urine, I went to speak to someone at guest services. I explained my situation to the girl helping me and was met with no compassion or apology, and instead was told to just find another seat. Considering this was a full movie with scattered single available seats, I didn't want to be wandering the now started movie in the dark or be seated away from my party. She paged the manager, and after explaining the situation again, all he had to say was, "what do you want me to do about it?" Like are you serious? No apology, no let me see what I can do to help you, no automatic refund for sitting in a seat that smelled like piss. I expressed to him that I have trouble going up stairs (why I had these seats to begin with) and he just had a blank stare. I asked to see the seating chart and luckily there were two seats that were available and I navigated to them but all of this could've been avoided had they wiped down the handicapped seats at least. I told the manager that I understand it would be a lot to wipe down every single seat but at least just wipe the 4 handicapped seats since this is a vulnerable population that I'm sure some guests that sit there struggle with incontinence issues and obviously had an accident in the seat. Again he just gave me a blank stare. No tact whatsoever with these employees. The bathrooms are also a mess, but I can't be surprised. read more

People wonder why the movies are going down, it might be part of the high prices for food, or the parking , the fact you can't bring in snacks but the worse part..... the absolute crazy part is getting an attitude by a cashier at 10 am because you want to use your member number to get points for the snacks you're about to buy. If you don't like your job or just not a morning person, ask to change your shift or find a new job . You can't be upset already at 10 am sitting at the register , like lady come on. My husband and I have been coming to this movie theater for years, but unfortunately, I feel like it has really let itself go. While we were enjoying our movie, we suddenly heard a crunching sound underneath our seats. At first, we thought maybe someone behind us was eating chips, but the sound continued. My husband decided to use his phone flashlight to look between the seats, and to our horror, there was a large rat underneath our seats! I immediately ran out because it was absolutely disgusting and terrifying. I understand that things can happen, but seeing a rat inside a movie theater, especially underneath our seats, is completely unacceptable. Please take better care of the theater, improve the cleanliness, and address whatever is causing this issue. This is one of my go to movie theaters. There's plenty of parking and there are restaurants in the same plaza if you want to grab something to eat before or after. The staff is really nice and you can buy a variety of food and drinks to snack on while watching a movie. They even have alcoholic drinks! The reclining heated seats are very comfortable and they do a great job keeping things clean. Would definitely recommend! read more

I haaaaaaaaate this theater. The one redeeming quality is their concessions, because of the self serve icees, and the great selection of candy and snacks. I'm just always so uncomfortable here because unlike every other theater I go to, the employees are super distracting when they walk up and down the stairs staring at you as if you're doing something wrong. I don't know if it's the way that they do it, but every time I see them, it doesn't look like someone working, it looks like someone that might want to hurt you. Staff were super rude today. We went to see a movie at 11:20am today. When we showed our QR code at the front desk to check in, she told us where to go. When we said thank you, she just said "Yeah". You could tell she didn't want to be there at all. Also, when we were checking out at the concession stand, I mentioned scanning my member card after she scanned my gift card. Instead of politely saying you have to scan your member card first, she gave me major attitude. This movie theater has gone downhill so much unfortunately. Not to mention the dirty women's bathroom. IDK why this movie theater isn't as busy as others but I'm here for it. There is hella parking available, it's close to Lazy Dog and other restaurants nearby. The tickets are cheaper than rip off AMC, that's for sure, despite them having awesome reclining seats. My friends and I have been here at least three times in the last couple of months and it's been easy peasy every time going in and out. Nice clean movie theaters with power reclining seats. The shack bar offers alcohol as well as more traditional movie snacks and drinks. Went with my girlfriend and another member of her meetup group to see karate kid legends. Saturday morning showing and the theater was almost empty. Reserved seats and pre-order options from the snack bar makes it convenient to get to the theater just a few minutes before the movie starts. The only downside is that the previews and advertisements take about half an hour. So our 10:20 am showing didn't actually start until 10:45 or 10:50. We had a similar experience seeing mission impossible final reckoning the week before. read more

Extremely overbearing surveillance. made to feel unwelcome. power-tripping staff. I've come to this theater since I was kid my parents would bring me here. I have pictures with families and friends growing up here. But how horrible it has become. This guard last year started making me feel uncomfortable by just pointing his golf cart in my direction one day and just staring at me. They did not like that I was in the parking lot waiting for my movie to start and this guy was bothered that I was in the parking lot and because I spoke up for myself this guard did not like that. Ever since then every time I come here this guy makes sure to show his presence near my car when I'm walking out of a showing. I've spotted this guard near me many times. Inside and out. This has not only happened once twice or three times it has happened way more than that. Dates dates dates. Today I came to an early showing and even before I came I already expected this guy to be outside near my car right when I walked out. Not only that but also the orange police was there too. To the left of the picture is the guard on his golf cart near my car who has behaved this way with me since last year to the far right you can spot orange PD vehicle. If the owner of this place or manager of this shopping center or theater has an issue with me purchasing a ticket to go enjoy a movie here then please find a way to let me know. But I believe its really unwarranted, unprofessional behavior. As I said I grew up my parents have picture of me growing up here. Went here to get Naked Gun opening night giveaway poster. I had to book tickets at other theaters and called other theaters before finding it here, and even then, they still had it stored away instead of readily distributed by the door. Long story long: Got there really late (around 11:45 pm, things came up and I have mobility issues) for the 11:10 pm show, so the doors were locked and the employees were already cleaning in the kitchen area. Luckily 2 guys were exiting and I told them that I have a ticket for the last show and they held the door for me. Robert, who is seemingly the manager, saw me walking in and greeted me politely, so I asked him about the poster. He didn't think they had it even though I already called and confirmed that they do. So he went to the storage area, lo and behold, it was still a full box of posters which made me wonder, maybe no one was given this poster.... And maybe the other theaters weren't aware they had it. Then I asked if I can still watch the movie even though I'm really late, and he and pointed me to the right auditorium. I'm so glad I went here tonight! Thanks Robert for helping me retrieve this memorabilia, I love spoof and parody movies so I wouldn't wanna miss out on this obscure poster. I've been going to this theater for a while. Last week, I unfortunately ended up having to watch a movie at a different theatre. Hmm - not going to say the name, but let's just say it has 3 letters. Going to that theater reminded me why I like going to Century Stadium. I love Century Stadium's comfy reclining seats. Did I mention, it's also heated... if you want. And everyone knows, as soon as the movie starts, the theater gets cold, so I definitely appreciate having the heated seat option. And the best part is that there is a lot of space between the aisles, so you don't even notice the people in front and back of you. Say "good-bye" to the back of your seats being kicked or heads boppin' around blocking your view. read more
