Ate here for dinner with work colleagues. We intended to eat at the excellent Italian restaurant across the street, but on a beautiful Sunday evening 5 pm they were full. We saw Brazas and decided to try it. Honduran family place with Mexican and Peruvian food! I had delicious ceviche, others had tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, and one had steak fajitas. All delicious. Terrific service by lovely friendly server. Food for the gueros Menu says 3 tacos, choice of meat, with rice and beans 2.99. That's not what the bill says and waiter says oh we're trying to fix that. The first time I came here was April 3 at night. Decided to try this spot because it's right in the neighborhood. We enjoyed! The food was good, the drinks were good, the service was excellent. We raved about this place and brought family here yesterday April 14 around 5:30pm. It was not the same. The service was inconsistent, friendly but inconsistent. So many of our orders were wrong or people brought other people's food to our table. Nachos Supreme with chicken, queso, no tomatoes, no guac- they brought over fajita nachos with steak and chicken. Ty at wasn't ours and when asked if they were the nachos supreme, the waitress said yes even though we could clearly see these were fajita nachos. We talked to someone else about it who confirmed they were the fajita nachos and not what we ordered. It must have been someone else's order because the took it from us and handed it to some man sitting at the bar. When they brought out the "nachos supreme", it was just chicken and shredded cheese on top of chips. Mind you, the nachos supreme comes with jalapeños, beans, sour cream, and cheese (cheese dip is what we ordered) but all we received was chips, chicken, and shredded cheese. We sent it back again and of course they just added sour cream and jalapeño on top. That was a disappointment and as if they didn't even know what comes on their own entrees. Chicken wings- no seasoning at all. Just tossed in grease. Tastes like absolutely nothing. Broccoli side - had other vegetables in it that's not mentioned on the menu. And they also did not season the broccoli with anything. Chorizo dip- had a whole layer of oil just sitting right on top. Was not good. I was hoping to get some good chorizo dip close to home, but this was not it. Tacos- I ordered 2 beef and 1 steak street tacos and asked for cheese on top. When the arrived, it was just cheese... no onions or cilantro. I never requested them to remove that so I had to ask for it on the side. The steak tacos were good and they do well with quesadillas but they are not consistent. Even the salsa that came with the chips was not consistent. The first time I came here, the salsa was so good and the right amount of spice. This time, no spice and not much flavor. I had high hopes for this place from my first time coming but I need you guys to be consistent. read more

I went here for a group happy hour and was pleasantly surprised. During happy hour select drinks are $5, a steal for the DMV area. I ordered the carne asada street tacos and a mojito. The tacos were fresh, I wish the mojito had more club soda it was a little too sweet. I'd definitely come back as the snapper someone looked delish. The service was a little slower at our table than the bar, however we had a group of 10 and the restaurant is fairly new. read more

I really enjoyed this spot! It's located in a a shopping center across the street from Topolino Restaurant. Parking was located directly in front, free, and accessible. Staff were very friendly and our waitress did a great job of checking in on us, and answering questions we had about the menu. Happy hour is every day (3-7), even on the weekends. Only includes margaritas for $5.They also have lunch specials until 2pm. I loved the decor and vibes as well...tropical, upbeat, modern,and appeared clean! Of course I ordered the chicken fajitas and they came out hot and presented very well (I like my vegetables whole and not incinerated by the grill). I could tell that everything was cooked fresh but the fajitas did not have a whole lot of flavor. A side of sour cream helped to cover the flavor that was missing but flavor is important so I took off one star. It also came with rice, beans, and pico. You get a choice of yellow rice, cilantro rice, or white rice. Great portion size as well, I had left overs. Back with another review! I tried new dishes, I thought I could add on to my last review but I guess not. So as an average this is a four because I am combining two new visits. Both times I had the chorizo dip- if you love that rotel- superbowl sports bar appetizer this is for you! Very cheesy and delicious. I also tried the quesadillas but I modified it with half steak and half shrimp.. it wasn't terrible. I think the steak was a little tough which seems to be a pattern. I also tried the fajitas nachos with steak and I wouldn't order it again. Taste wise: it wasn't terrible, again steak is a little tough BUT what bothered me most is the large pieces of veggies and steak. It wasn't bite size. They could have definitely chopped into smaller sizes. Jairo has been my bartender each time I've been - it's always been a Tuesday so that may just be her schedule. She's pleasant and makes sure I get everything I order- correctly. This time I ordered churros to go. I love churros! But usually I eat too much to have dessert. I forced myself this time and I tasted one fresh, it was crunchy yet dough. It originally came out with chocolate drizzled on top which was not part of the description. Jairo fixed it for me since I don't eat chocolate. The alternative is that it came with caramel dipping sauce. Too cold to cook. JK, we're just tired of suffering alone through The Great Glaze a.k.a. Winter Storm Fern 2026. Super glad we came ... $5 Margaritas ... my frugal self was instantly in love. Looking @ the menu made me drool ... they have vegan options y'all! We were offered free chips and salsa before we were even seated. Fairly new establishment so still very neat, clean and organized. Hoping they keep up with the seasonal decor. Today they're all set for Valentine's Day. We ain't talking fine dining butttt friendly, efficient customer service will trump (NO pun intended!) expensive, Michelin star presentation any day. Shout out to our bartender (Claudio a.k.a. "C") and our server (Oscar). Also happy to report, our party of 4 had nothing but praise for every chicken entree served today (fajitas, burrito bowl and quesadillas). Delicioso all across the board. I definitely need to go back, i ordered the Taquitos Mexicano. They were okay, had a corn tortilla; I personally prefer flour. i know I would like something else instead better because the rice and beans were fire! Food looked good but was lacking some flavor and quality. I ordered the $50 platter for two and it came with chicken, steak, shrimp, chorizo and pork carnitas. The chicken and steak did not look like the photo on the menu. It was soooo thin that it was overcooked. Like 1/8-1/4 of an inch thickness. I'm not sure why my waiter asked how I would like it cooked! I've had Jerky that was thicker than the steak and chicken. It seems like they may pre cook their meats and then flash grill again! The side that comes with it is just okay! The rice was slightly undercooked. The Salsa tasted like marinara sauce with some onions and cilantro! The ambiance was really nicely decorated for Mother's Day. This place can be good if they improve on the items I suggested! read more

This review reflects issues with service, pricing, and overall experience. They offer $5 margaritas, which are decent, but my friend was charged $16.95 for a strawberry margarita plus an additional liquor upcharge. When the bill arrived, there were even more unexpected charges added. Our server initially told us we'd only be charged for the tequila upgrade, but the manager later contradicted that. The pricing felt very misleading. We were also seated under a leaking pipe, which we only noticed after water started dripping onto our table--and even onto me--while we had food in front of us. It was surprising that no one seemed aware of or addressed the issue. Another odd moment: our waiter asked us to pay the bill right after taking our order because he said he was leaving, yet he remained there for the next hour and a half while we dined. It felt a bit uncomfortable, as if we were being judged as potential dine-and-dash customers. As for the food, it was just okay. Unfortunately, our order was incorrect--we paid for upgrades but were served basic tacos instead. I've heard good things about this place, so I might give it another try in hopes of a better experience under different circumstances. read more

Outstanding Experience From Start to Finish I had such a great time at this restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed. Everyone was incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful and it was exactly the kind of service that makes you want to come back. It was 7 of us including 3 kids so our party was kind of big. The food was the real star. The street tacos were some of the best I've had in a long time. They were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell they put real care into every detail. And the desserts? Absolutely delicious. The perfect sweet finish to an already amazing meal. The tres leches cake and churros were the perfect finish to a great meal. The drinks are good. While the servers were really nice, service was extremely slow. Beans and rice came out ice cold (TWICE), as if they sat outside. Also, I assume they ran out of the black beans because they weren't seasoned either and tasted like they were dumped from a can. The rice is not flavorful at all. Fajitas were good and hot but we couldn't mix the beans and rice for obvious reasons. I hope these are just growing pains. Update: we were going to give them another chance but they tried to say I had to pay for food I didn't eat and wanted to charge for a spoon full of cheese, that I never ate, since my food was cold. That did it for us...we won't be back. read more
