Finally had the chance to experience this awesome place on MLK day. Normally on a weekend this place is busy so we got pretty lucky when we were seated right away. My go to for breakfast food is usually a chicken fried steak or a breakfast burger. Lucky for me they had an amazing breakfast burger. This sucker is huge, I think the patty had to be 2/3 pound. That's good for a burger guy like me! Inside the burger was an egg, hash brown, bacon, and cheese. It even had aioli on the side but I did t need it. All I can say is that it was super delicious and super juicy, and super messy. Definitely worth it for any burger lovers out there. My wife got the huevos rancheros and she loved it. That's her go to breakfast food and she said this was one of her favs. My son had a grilled cheese and he also loved it. The fries were pretty good too as they were perfectly salted and fried. I got the Tres Leches Pancakes and they were pretty good, but definitely didn't taste like Tres Leches, just like sweet pancakes. I think the pancakes just weren't moist enough like Tres Leches, they were kind of dry. I've had some at other places and they really nail it with the moisture of pancakes and that just wasn't the experience here but they were still good! The coffee was good though. The menu was a bit confusing because it looks like there might two different versions of the coffee, but I asked the server and I guess there's only one type of coffee. The coffee is severed black and is from Ragamuffin and they just bring out the little coffee-mate creamer packs so you can add in yourself. They would also come back to ask if you wanted refills on the coffee periodically! We did check-in on yelp before arriving so we were able to get the coffee freebie which was nice! We also sat outside on their little patio set, on a gloomy day, so it was nice to have fresh hot food when it was a little colder out. My partner got the classic breakfast and he loved it! Braxton's atmosphere was quiet, quaint, casual and clean. Love photos of all the dogs on the wall as it's a dog friendly brunch spot that encourages you to bring your fur baby. Food came out luke warm which I thought could be better. Avocado toast I loved even though it said with a fried egg on top but mine had a sunny side up egg instead. However no worries I still loved the avocado toast with the Arugula/balsamic splashes on it, yummy. We had a huge party of 20 people for brunch after my sister's wedding and the staff was very accommodating and we are very thankful that we were able to sit all together for brunch. We were there on a Sunday and it was very busy. We ordered Chilaquiles with salsa on the side and a Monte Cristo. The Chilaquiles were similar to sad carne asada nachos. It was missing the sauce, they hardly put any meat and I found a big piece of bone that looked like meat. I mentioned it to the waitress and she said she would tell the cook. I heard nothing more about it. The Monte Cristo was not bad, but it was on the "Specials" board without a price. Both dishes cost $17 each.The price does not match what is served. Meeting friends for brunch and wanted to stay in Camarillo. Outdoor seating is a must for us. Braxton's was recommended by several friends so we gave it a try. The outdoor tables are on the sidewalk next to the parking lot. Less than romantic but no road noise and very little in the way of cars passing. Right after we sat, Mikayla, our server, came by to greet us with a big smile and get our drink orders. Free coffee with your first Yelp check in - NICE!!! Service remained excellent throughout the meal. The Scorpion Bowl ($15.25) sounded really good to me but I was afraid it might be a bit too spicy for my gringo palate. Mikayla suggested getting the sriracha and jalapeños on the side - they could be added as tolerated. Good move. Just a dab of the sriracha and my mouth was on fire. And the scorpion bowl did not need the extra spices to taste great. A really good dish with eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, and some greens. I had Roxy's Chicken & Waffles, while my husband had the Hot Honey Sandwich. Both were well-prepared and flavorful. The staff was constantly running around managing tables and orders. I've been highly recommend Braxton's Kitchen for some time now so I decided to stop by and finally give it a try for lunch last month. I stopped by on a Thursday early afternoon (around 2pm-ish) and it wasn't too busy, just a couple of tables. Upon arrival, I was greeted by two kind young ladies. They asked where I wanted to sit and though I do know that you're supposed to order your food at the register, the two ladies just took my order at my table. On this day, I ordered the Chicken Club Sandwich with a side of tater tots and a diet coke. Sauces on the side. Bacon on the side. For the sandwich, I would give it a solid 7.9/10. I asked for it extra toasted and was given exactly that. It was full of flavor and the chicken was really great. I do however wish there was avocado included and not as an add-on, as the sandwich was already around $16-ish? As for the tater tots, they were great. Crispy, Made to order. Definitely paired well with my sandwich. The overall meal was around $20-$23 before tip, which I would say is on the higher end for a lunch. However, you are paying for the service and quality. You get a great amount of food. Depending on your level of hunger, you can either completely finish a meal like this or have a little extra to go. The service was great. I appreciated how attentive and persistent the staff was with providing good service. They cleared my table as soon as I was finished, filled my diet coke in the glass mason jar with ice, and made me feel comfortable, which is the most important part. If you are looking for a great breakfast/brunch/lunch spot, this is the one! It feels very homey and the food is great. It is a pretty penny but it is worth it. I stopped in here to have breakfast on a weekday morning. I thought this was definitely a nice place to have breakfast, but I do believe it is vastly overrated by the reviews on Yelp. It's kind of pricey and while the food is good, I don't believe it's really all that special. I had the french toast, which goes for $14. They put some fresh berries on top of it. Other than that, I thought it was pretty much typical french toast, and certainly not worth $14. I've definitely had much better, and certainly for less than $14. Unfortunately I can't say the same about their food or coffee (hence no photos). We ordered a breakfast burrito and an omelette, and they were both meh. We were pretty hungry, so finished the meal, but really were not into it at all. The omelette was not fluffy at all, rather thing and lacked any flavor. My friend and I tried Braxton's Kitchen today for the first time, and we had an awesome experience. We were greeted well, immediately water was served and Jess was our server today. We got the Chicken Pesto Sandwich and the Carne Assada Tots! The Carne Assada was definitely 5 stars. Stopped here on our way from San Diego to Santa Barbara. I'm so glad we did! You can tell they cook with fresh ingredients for sure. I had their Tater Tot Poutine. The gravy sauce was amazing (just enough) along with the bacon & sausage mixed in. All topped with a sunny side up egg. Loved this different breakfast. A bed of gravy topped with golden crispy tater tots, bacon, cheese, sausage, and an egg over medium, guaranteed to clog your arteries but worth every bite. The only thing I would add is another egg. My date had the tuna melt which I snuck a bite of. As far as tuna melts go, it wasn't bad, but I'm not a fan of their use of onions in it, and one side of the bread was a little soggy while the other side was nicely grilled. Giving 4 stars this time around bc service was solid, and food was prepped well - but food did knock out of the park for me. - burger was a bit too charred for my taste, which took away from flavor of meat (thought definitely good enough to eat and finish) - Flavors for chicken and waffles were awesome, but personally I would have recommended the syrup and gravy to not have been plated together and under the waffles/chicken (again just a preference for me, but altogether great flavors). I had the Cam Cowboy, grilled Ribeye with onion rings, my girlfriend had the Soyrizo Burrito, they couldn't have been more opposite dishes and they were both amazing. Steak was well prepared and did not slide out of the bun as I find they often do, I was able to live my Chevy Chase Fletch dreams. The Soyrizo was very good, almost like the real stuff. While this place is in a stip-mall, the outdoor dining was pretty nice with plants around and is semi-shaded in the afternoon. read more

I enjoyed the Spicy Bentley for lunch. It was accompanied with fries. The Spicy Bentley is a crispy chicken sandwich on a brioche bun. The chicken was excellent. Wasn't quite spicy, but had a hint of a little heat. The fries were hot and crispy, but lacked seasoning. I'm not one to add salt to stuff, but these fries definitely needed it. All in all it was an enjoyable experience. The food came out fast and the service was great. I'll definitely be returning to check out some of their breakfast options. Being that I was going to be in the Camarillo area for work today, I decided to give this place a try. There's outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. But my biggest problem with this place (especially if its your first time, like it was for me), is that you dont know whether you're suppose to go sit down and they'll come give you a menu, or do you order at the counter then go sit down..... it was quite confusing. So I waited in line since that's where the employees were and then wsa given a menu and was told that I can sit anywhere but to place my order at the counter when ready. A sign would've been nice to solve any kind of problems there. I eventually ended up ordering their sausage and cheddar breakfast bowl, which only came out to $10.50 which isnt bad for breakfast in a bougie area. I say bougie because there's people walking around here barefoot, and only the homeless or the ones intouch with nature or the rich/entitled people do that. Food comes out qhickly, about 10 minutes. It was quite a simple breakfast. But cooked well. Being that it was a keto friendly option, there was no bread or other high carb component of the dish. It was basically 2 sausage patties, and 2 egss covered with cheese, half of an avocado and some greens. Eggs were cooked well, with the yoke still running when you cut into it. Tasted pretty good. It wasen't an over the top amount of food. Didnt leave me feeling sluggish like I needed a nap afterwards, but it made me not feel hungry, so just the perfect amount of food. Because some breakfast joints try to make up for the sub par quality of food by giving you a lot of it, but this place gives the perfect portions coupled with a good amount of attention to quality and details.
